Cannot create release build

I am struggling to try to create a release build of my project in Flex Builder 3.  There are no error messages...all that happens is that Flex is never able to complete the task.  The only change that I recently made to Flex Builder 3 is installing support for Flash Player 10 debug version.  I have Version 3.0 of Flex Builder (build 3.0.2.214193).  I am a newbie to Flex Builder and a newbie to RIA's.

Hi Shane,
Can you please try downloading Flash Builder 4.7 64 bit from http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashbuilder4-7/
Open FlashBuilder.ini file from the installed directory example (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)/FlashBuilder) and
if you are on Mac go to /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7.app/Contents/MacOS and set your -Xmx to 1024 and try packaging. If this doesn't solve increase you -Xmx to 2048.
Please let me know if this works.

  • Cannot Export Release Build, need alternative

    Hi there,
I've been working on a mobile game by myself for the last 12 months,
I'm in the final week of polishing everything off, and submitting to the App Store,
I hit a snag a while back, and put it off until now, where I have to get a solution.
In my game, I have quite a few assets, 27.9mb to be exact.
Flash Builder 4.6 is not letting me Export my release build with all the assets embedded in it.
I've tried using loaders instead, but I keep getting Map Failed and Unknown errors when exporting.
If I comment out 7 of my assets, (they are character spritesheets), then it works, but the minute I include them, then the game fails to export by hitting Map Failed, and Java Heap space errors occur as well.
I'm running a setup with 4GB of RAM, and I've read that I need to maybe do an ANT build...
I have NO CLUE to do how an ANT build... do you think this would solve my issue in exporting everything? I've optimised images like crazy to compress them as much as possible and keep the pixels as small as possible. The game runs like a charm on my iPhone 3Gs, so I know it won't crash when the rest of the assets are included.
Does anyone maybe have a step by step video of how to do an ANT build... i wouldn't know where to begin... taught myself everything I've needed to know until now!
Spot on my credits for you if we can solve this!
    Regards
    Shane

  • Flash Bulider 4.7 - Export Release Build does not work !!!

    Hi,
I'm using Flash Bulider 4.7. I'm working on ActionScript 3.0 project using Starling for GPU rendering and SWC with Flash Art work for UI. While debug build is working properly, I cannot export release build. The exporting is finishing, all the assetes which are needed are included in the release (bin-release) folder, but there is NO SWF created(included). What could be an issue ? How can I export release build for the project ?
    Thanks,
    Nenad
P.S. I have installed Flash Builder 4.6 too. It exports release build of the same project properly.

Moving this discussion to the Using Flash Builder forum.

  • Export release build fails with project created by Launchpad

When I try to export a release build (using Flash Builder 4.5) of a project created in Adobe Air Launchpad (p8_3-0-1_081911) I get the following error message:
"error occurred while saving the project settings: 'default' build target cannot be found for the selected project"
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!
    Rob

I solved this by creating a new project and copying everything across. But it was time-consuming work - especially creating all the new value objects and data services. Air Launchpad is a great concept and has helped me a lot, but this particular forum is dead.

  • Cannot create STO due to Material Not released

    Hi experts,
    I have a query here.
A part number has block code BL (Blocked) in MM in MRP1 & Costing views. Because of which we cannot create Intercompany Stock Transport Orders.
However it allows us to create normal PO's for the same part to the vendors. The material status of this block code BL has only Inventory Mgmnt blocked with "B" whereas rest of the settings
Material 82001 cannot be taken from plant 1001 due to status "Not Released"
    Message no. ME125
    System Response
    Procedure (system administrator)
Check the material status in Customizing:
    Define material status
Could you let me know why it behaves differently in normal PO to that of Intercompany Stock Transport Orders?
    Regards,
    Pri

I dont know the reason, but probably it is to to avoid potential business trouble, to inform requesters at the earliest time that the supplying plant cannot delivery what you request.
Assume you would create STO today for a delivery in November.
You would be lucky because you succefully created the STO.
In November someone in the sending plant would starf processing the goods issue to you, would then realize that it is not possible, would then inform you about that.
you would get in trouble with your customer, as you cannot meet the promised delivery date.
Wouldn't you ask him why he did not tell you that in August already?
But the sending plant has no chance to know this prior to the processing (except they would lookup manually everytime the material master status when you send an order).
So the easisest way to let you know that it is not possible to move material in the sending plant, is thru the message at order creation.
As I said, it is just my assumption. You may ask SAP for the correct answer. Maybe another one here knows it.
Can it be that you do not use delivery processing for this STOs?

  • Customizing shortcut created by Export Release Build

    Hi,
I've created an air application that requires a command-line argument - the path to a properties file.  I'd like to set the shortcut created by the Air application installer to point to a default location for this file.  I'm creating the installer by doing Export -> Release Build from the Flex Development Eclipse IDE.  Is there some setting (perhaps in the -app.xml file) that would let me specify a default value?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
that is not customizable in that way. You're using IDE provided UI for ADT that could be also executed via command line and has limited (closed) list of arguments/options:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WS789ea67d3e73a8b22388411123785d839c-8000.html
What about adding that file into application package? If it needs to be passed as path each time application is run you could ship it with application then. Or provide application routine that would compute that path to that file at runtime once application is started.
    thanks,
    regards,
    Peter

    In your config.log:
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmswsock
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lws2_32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lole32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -loleaut32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpsapi
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lversion
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ladvapi32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lwinmm
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lkernel32
Try find these files which package provides!
Edit: maybe package 'wine' provides this but as I see these libs are in /usr/lib/wine.

  • [SOLVED]C compiler cannot create executables DUE TO MISSING DEV. PACKS

Hi there, I was trying to build "lib32-libpcap" from AUR using yaourt when the gcc(?) reported an error as following:
    ==> Starting build()...
    checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    checking target system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    checking for gcc... gcc -m32
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
    See `config.log' for more details.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...
The content of the "config.log" file:
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
It was created by configure, which was

Am running a up-to-date x64 Arch with [multilib] enabled; perhaps it's a silly mistake I made somewhere but I'm no dev and so cannot figure out what went wrong in the config.log....please help with your kindness and thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your replies:)
Allan wrote:Are you really up-to-date?   gcc-4.6.3 was put in [core] four days ago but you still seem to have 4.6.2.
Well...at least as up-to-date as on March 2nd(when I did last system-wide upgrade); trying to update system tonight to see whether this works.
stronnag wrote:If you have multilib and testing enabled, you also need  multilib-testing, otherwise (as I know from bitter experience), you get these hard to track down errors.
Nope I didn't enable [testing]; I've discovered some packages in [multilib], namely gcc-multilib or something similar(with the -multilib subfix) and some of these packages belong to the group "multilib-devel". Is installing these packages a must for compiling 32-bit packages?

  • Cannot create complib - no BeanInfo generated!

    Hello,
Im trying to create a complib following the steps on http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Javatools/CustomComponentLibraries.
When I run the build.xml file, I get an error in the targets gen-component, gen-taglib, gen-beaninfo:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: und
    at com.sun.rave.jsfmeta.generators.Main.run(Main.java:521)
    at com.sun.rave.jsfmeta.generators.Main.main(Main.java:279)
At the end I also get a warning:
Warning: skipping zip archive C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\katsarova\Eigene Dateien\Creator\Projects\TestCreateComplib\build\complib\dkaTag-src.zip because no files were included.
    BUILD SUCCESSFUL
No BeanInfo classes have been generated, so I cannot create the classes as described in section " Runtime: Final Steps".
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi, G. Lakshmipathi,
very thanks, I found note as below,
    Solution
Implement changes marked below with '<--'.
In Releases < 3.0D, define the exception 'CALC_ERROR' beforehand for the
    function module 'COPA_READ_CALCULATION':
    1. Start transaction 'SE37' for function module 'COPA_READ_CALCULATION'.
    2. Select object component 'Table parameters/exceptions interface' and
    choose 'Change'.
    3. Enter the new exception:
    CALC_ERROR   <--ins
    NO_CALC_FOUND
    4. Save function module
This means is modify stand function 'COPA_READ_CALCULATION' and delete "CALC_ERROR" exception ?
And  "calc_error"  of Source code also be marked ?
if do this,it could affect the whole  system?

  • Debugging Database in Release Build

I've done something wrong and now my application, which runs perfectly when built in Debugging configuration gets Access Violation when built in Release configuration.
I would like to run the Release build in the debugger to see what's going on but Visual Studio says it can't find the PDB file.
There is a PDB file with the correct name and creation date in the solution Release directory. When I try to browse to it in the debugger, the debugger says "A matching symbol file was not found in this folder."
How can I get Visual Studio to generate a PDB file that will work?
I'm using Visual Studio Express 2012 version 11.0.61030.00 Update 4.
    Thanks,
    Norm

Your suggestion is probably correct in the general case; it seems that whenever the Visual Studio IDE does something strange you fix it by deleting all the output files and doing a clean rebuild.
However, in this case I did something that the IDE couldn't have anticipated and that caused the problem.
My solution contains two EXE projects; bccr and cmd.bccr. In the Release configuration I went to the project properties for cmd.bccr and changed the name of the result file from "cmd.bccr.exe" to "bccr.com" in only the Release configuration.
Now the IDE is creating two result files with a filename of "bccr" and for each of them it creates a PDB file named bccr.PDB. If cmd.bccr is built
after bccr it overwrites the PDB file for bccr.exe and the debugger cannot use it to debug bccr.exe.
(cmd.bccr creates a console application. I'm doing this so that the installer can put both bccr.exe and bccr.com in the same directory under Program Files and the path search when the user enters "bccr" at the command prompt will find bccr.com.)
I have solved the problem in Visual Studio by changing the cmd.bccr property back to the default "cmd.bccr.exe". I'll have to change the name of the result EXE file manually.
