Cannot create x86 WEI 8.1 Pro image in SIM

Hello everyone,
I am currently having trouble generating an WEI 8.1 Pro x86 image. For the purpose of generating this I set up a virtual mashine running win7 32bit (I am 100% sure about this). I downloaded and installed the WAIK from here: http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=5753#
SIM Version is now: 6.1.7600.16385
If I now try to generate a catalog-file I get this message:

Hilfe zur Problembehandlung erhalten Sie in folgendem Thema: "Technische Referenz zu Windows System Image Manager" im Benutzerhandbuch zu Windows OPK oder Windows AIK.10:18 : 10:18 : Sorry for the error beeing in German but WAIK wont allow me to install the english version...

I got the same error when trying to generate a catlog file from my 64bit System. Why does it presist on the 32bit mashine? How do I check if the correct, 32Bit Version if SIM is now installed?
What is the problem? System and Sim should be the correct version now but still I can generate a catalog file. What do I need to change?
Best,
Kevin

  • Cannot create property rotationX on mx.controls.Image

This seems to be a fairly general error message and I am not
sure why it is happening. I updated the settings in Eclipse to use
Flex 3.2. I can't figure out why the debugger is erroring out when
    I call myImage.rotationX = 45 on a simple image ccontrol.
Any ideas? I'm trying to learn some of the new display stuff.

  • Time Machine and NAS: Cannot create backup image

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem when setting up Time Machine with a NAS. I'm using a Thecus N4100 Pro mounted via AFP. I've enabled Time Machine on unsupported disks so that I can select one of my NAS shares as the backup destination. So far so good. Time Machine attempts to create a backup and ultimately fails because it cannot create the backup disk image. Any idea what's going on?
I just set up a Time Capsule for my parents and it worked very well. I've thought about replacing my AirPort Extreme with a TC if I cannot get Time Machine working with my NAS. However, I'd rather use the NAS for obvious reasons (like, I already own it!).
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or will this not work?
    Thanks!
    -Rob

A little searching of the forums answered my questions on setting up Time Machine to work with my NAS. However, I still have one question I hope someone can answer.
The instructions I found describe creating a sparsebundle and copying it to the NAS before Time Machine will work. To create the bundle, one must use the Ethernet ID of the computer. So, what if one is using two network interfaces (ie: WiFi and wired Ethernet)? I prefer wired Ethernet, but use WiFi as well when I'm on the couch, etc.
If I set up the sparsebundle using the WiFi Ethernet ID, will that prevent me from backing up when connected via wired? Or vice-versa? How does Time Capsule handle this?
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • ACR Raw images wont copy to Jpeg or Tiff; as it fails with "Cannot Create File"

Requesting immediate help if anyone available currently
I've been using Photoshop CS6 for several years, never a problem at all. As soon as I bought Creative Cloud, I see many issues that cannot be resolved or are recurring.
Again today as I go to copy files (images) from Adobe Camera Raw, to say a Tiff or a Jpeg, it appears to begin to copy as normal, then suddenly a box appears with all my copying
file name/numbers, and it begins to eliminate one by one "Cannot Create File", failing the entire process to copy. I have never seen this until I began using Creative Cloud about a
    month ago.
Can anyone help this Saturday evening as i am trying to complete a large project of images for others who expect them soon.?
Thank you and I look forward to any advice soon,
    Mark Seibold, Artist-Astronomer, Portland Oregon

    Hi Rick
Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, that term was my mistake, as I meant to write 'Save As"
Another forum respondent just replied also, and he states as so many others do, that they do not use
the Adobe Camera Raw app formerly with CS6, as they instead use Lightroom, so he apologized that he
was not familiar with ACR but that I might have an old CS6 plug-in running that may not be completely
compatible with the new Creative Cloud. I am not sure if this is the problem.
What I would find as not really likely, is that the Creative Cloud engineers would go through all the trouble
to redesign from the old CS6, then even assist us over the phone to help install it, but in oversight,
leave us without a proper update to properly run Adobe Camera Raw. I also have never really understood the advantage of Lightroom. I'm sure that many must enjoy its efficiency, as I hear wedding photographers like it for huge batch processing of adjusting many images in synchronicity all at once. I would say that I do the same with ACR accessing it through Bridge, and I like ACR's quick and simple access for simple image adjustments and then say a small batch all synchronized, then finally to "Save As" for all selected to a final output as Tiff or Jpeg.
As an astronomer that has just started learning to use Registax for night sky images, we also like the ACR adjustments and then to "Save As" eg. all Jpeg or all Tiff, to then photo-stitch large landscape and night sky panoramas with Microsoft ICE photo-stitching.
Sorry for the long description here, but I hope to relate the total idea of what I am doing for the past years. I'll even attach an example >
Thanks for your possible solution to my problem in "Saving As" in ACR,
    Mark

I believe that the drive needs to be HFS+journaled. See for example: <http://www.macworld.com/article/132140-2/2008/02/timemachine2.html>

After a recent upgrade from a previous version of Firefox, I am now unable to create a PDF from a web page using the Adobe Pro toolbar on the web page.  A "save as" box appears and then the conversion process dies.  I can print the page using Adobe Pro as my printer and it works fine. I can create other docs with Adobe Pro.   How do I fix this on my browser?

  • My boss cannot create a new subfolder by pressing "new folder" until he's already saved the file to his desktop. A "read only" error appears the first time. Is there a way to create and save to subfolder directly? It's Mavericks/Macbook Pro

Hi, when my boss wants to save a new file in a new subfolder, he presses "new folder" but cannot create a new one because a “read only” error box appears. Once he saves the file to his Desktop he clicks on “save as” again and then he can create a new subfolder by pressing “new folder.” Is there a way to create and save to a subfolder directly without having to first save somewhere else?

Your server file handling has nothing, and really nothing to do with Adobe software. If files don't get locked for (over-)writing and/or lose connection to the program opening them, then your server is misconfigured. It's as plain and simple and that. Anything from "known file types"/ file associations not being set correctly, MIME types being botched, crooked user privileges and file permissions, missing Mac server extensions, delayed file writing on the server, generic network timeout issues and what have you. Either way, you have written a longwinded post with no real value since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info, most notably about the alleged server. Either way, the only way you can "fix" it is by straightening out your server and network configuration, not some magic switch in Adobe's software.

  • Cannot create your bootable usb stick

    Hi all,
I'm new to bootcamp and I have the following problem:
When I'm creating a Windows 7 usb drive, it gives me an error "Cannot create your bootable usb stick there was a problem copying files".
I've tried searching google for the problem, but the only possible solutions I've got was to unmount the iso image and try again, but when I do that I still get the same error and when I check the disk utility I find the iso image is mounted again.
Does anyone haven an idea about what to do.

After installing Acrobat XI Pro on Windows 7 Ent. w/Office 2010.
From MS Word, select Save as PDF, I recieve "Adobe Acrobat is not activated. Cannot create PDF file."
Any and all troubleshooting has failed.
Uninstall Acrobat, language packs, re-install, install updates, Install on fresh image.

kglad  your link refers to Windows XP. As to the rest it is questionable. First of all it would be nice to know the cause, before fixing the problem. For in some cases eliminating the cause will solve problems later on. So, in my case for ex. The problem did not exist until I protected my Word 2010 document and then saved it to PDF--which it would not allow to do so and giving the error message stated above.

  • Error handling an evaluation process request. Cannot create process. NativeErrorCode:193

    Hi,
I always get the following error. This happens every time I try to use Power Query to import data (even if I try to simply load a local CSV file).
I can select the CSV file, or chose the desired online-search data source, but when the data should be pulled into Excel, I get "Error handling an evaluation process request. Cannot create process. NativeErrorCode:193"
    and I'm stuck.
    I have already tried to:
    execute Excel 2013 as Administrator
connect directly to Internet (without the company proxy)
Set “run as administrator” to all users on D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Power Query for Excel\bin\Microsoft.Mashup.Container.exe
I'm running Windows 8 Pro (64 bit), Office 365 ProPlus (32 bit) and
    PowerQuery_2.10.3598.81 (32-bit).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marco

Are you familiar with using tools like Process Monitor (aka procmon) for debugging? This error suggests to me that there's some kind of bad machine state that's interfering with the loading of the executable, and this kind of problem tends to be pretty hard
    to debug.
Some of the easier things to do and check:
    1) Run "chkdsk /f" against each of your drives to ensure there are no disk issues.
    2) Enable tracing and send us the logs. There's a description for how to enable traces at
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7b04152f-b7fb-46a9-92be-860d46b48059/when-error-says-see-the-inner-exception-for-more-details?forum=powerquery
    3) Open up a command prompt (cmd.exe, not powershell), switch to "D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Power Query for Excel\bin" and run Microsoft.Mashup.Container.exe to see if you get some kind of error message. The expected behavior of this application
is that it will exit almost right away with no error.

  • Cannot create recovery media on T61

Hi, two days ago I got my Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with Vista Business. I decided to downgrade to Win XP, so I found out, that I need to create a recovery media. I looked to Start > Programs > Thinkvantage, but there was no such option as create recovery media. So I was googling and I figured out that I didn't have installed Rescue and Recovery software. I downloaded (English) Rescue and Recovery 4.21 for Windows Vista from Lenovo webpage and installed it. Then I went again to Start > Programs > Thinkvantage and there was the option Create Recovery media. I clicked there, but there was only option to create Rescue media. Here is the screenshot :
    http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/4570/97770442.jpg
Also I was trying to find if I have that hidden partition. In windows I found some 513MB partition, but there was 100% free space.
    http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/4834/20885840.jpg
In linux I found only one partition, where is installed windows. Is there any way that I don't have this hidden partition, so I cannot create recovery media, or where is the problem? Thanks in advance.

If it is the official Lenovo downgrade discs, it is actually a XP pro recovery media, so you don't need the Vista OS to work. It will create its own recovery partition on your hdd. But once you done it, there is no way of going back to VIsta, unless you image the hdd using a third party software like Acronis TrueImage (need to be purchased) or Easeus Disk Copy (free).

  • Cannot Create Automation Object

    Hi All,
I have essentially two problems are occuring the first is with Crystal
Reports 8.5 whereby running reports simeltaneously, one after the other
after the other, will intermittently after the 3rd or 4th report cause
windows to lock up and Notes 8 client will start to consume upwards of 100mb
of ram (in a minimum 1.25gb ram machine) and then 98-99% CPU Usage.
Assuming this was a problem with an older version of Crystal Reports, we
have upgraded and tested both Crystal Reports 9 Professional and Crystal
Reports 12 and thats where the "cannot create automation object" has
occured - this particular error will happen whenever we attempt to run any
    report what so ever
Now that we've upgraded to Crystal Reports 9.0 Pro, we'd like to try and solve
the "cannot create automation object" error message we receive.
Have tried to communicate this problem with IBM, they insist the problem is crystal
related and not a problem with lotus notes.
    Environment:

    Fault:
    1. First Observed 18/07/2008
    2. See above description
    3. For the first problem with Crystal Reports version 8.5 - we upgraded our
client and server in test environment to Domino 8 and Notes 8 from Domino
6.5 and Notes 6.5, for the second problem it occured after we upgraded from
Crystal Reports 8.5 to Crystal Reports 9 & 12 versions.
    4.  Reinstalled Crystal Reports 8.5, no effect on first problem, installed
version 12 (from IBM website), second error, un-installed, reinstalled 8.5,
first error reappeared, reinstalled version 12 complete installation, same
problem (second error) uninstalled and installed version 9 trial and same
    problem (second error)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this happening in the Report Designer or in an application?

    In your config.log:
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmswsock
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lws2_32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lole32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -loleaut32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpsapi
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lversion
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ladvapi32
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lwinmm
    /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lkernel32
Try find these files which package provides!
Edit: maybe package 'wine' provides this but as I see these libs are in /usr/lib/wine.
