Cannot export (originally-designed) form responses

Getting the following error message when I attempt to export by using the recent export feature (right click on a cell) & download response as PDF.
"Your form is too large to export as a PDF.  Try removing some of the fields on the form and try again."
We had no problem to download the same (as it designed pdf) form only from yesterday and I am wondering what has been changed so far!?
The PDF file once exported it's 1 MB and it has about 30 pages. I have tried FormCentral Desktop App as well and got the same error...
This was a feature update what we was waiting for long time ago and we are really need it!
Thank you!

Sorry for the inconvenience. This was added in our 12/10 release. We are in the process of removing this constraint. We should have a fix out early next week.
Again, we apologize for any problems this may cause you.

    Hi CEDESPAR,
    What is your workflow to do that. Are you trying to open the form in browser?
    Or you are downloading the form on your computer first and then trying to fill it.
    Which application of Adobe you are using?

  • Cannot export original RAW images in one step

    Sigh....
    Here we go again. Apple tries dumbing it down for everyone and gets rid of some important stuff in the process.
    I used iPhoto as a ground level library for all my photography. And would easily import RAW images to my Lightroom collection.
    Now you eliminate what used to be a very easy export process and made it more difficult. WHY TAKE THE "ORIGINAL" OUT OF THE EXPORT MENU? Why only jpeg and png???
    I do not get you guys sometimes. Screwed up iMovie, now iPhoto.
    Does anyone out there know of a shortcut to export originals without the multistep process required now?  I have 50-100 pix every day to export.
    Thank you.

    WHY TAKE THE "ORIGINAL" OUT OF THE EXPORT MENU? Why only jpeg and png???
    Huh?

  • Adobe Form; Fields missing in form response file & .csv export

    I created a form in Adobe Livecycle 8 and everything was working fine.  Our company upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and now when I receive a form response via email, some of the data elements to not show up in the 'response file', therefore the data elements cannot be exported into excel.  I am using 'compile returned forms' and following the wizard so I don't know what I'm missing.  I am at a loss and am under a time crunch to get this fixed.  Any help would be appreciated!

  • Is there a way to revert to the original form responses in Forms Central?

    I was reviwing responses in Forms Central, and I noticed a few cells had been shaded as "Manually edited." I am the only person with access to our responses, so I'm guessing that as I was using my scroll button on my mouse, I accidentally changed something. (My mouse has been acting up lately, and the computer has registered a double click when I only single clicked.)
    Is there a way to revert back to the original form responses? I caught this too late for be able to just use "undo."

    HI,
    >> but it only let me go back one step. It didn't let me go back any further.
    OK, then maybe you made (by accident) some changes prior to your current editing session. You might have edited the form, made 'change1', closed the form, and reopened it. At this point you cannot use Edit / Undo to undo 'change1'.
    It looks like you need to undo your changes manually. You could take a look at the View Responses table history to see what you had before.  At the View Responses tab, click on the clock-history icon on your lower right corner, you will see the History bar and you can select a previous version to see.
    Thanks,

  • CANNOT IMPORT FORM RESPONSE

    Using Acro 8, I sent out a form, and asked the respondent to return input by pushing the submit button. His response arrives in the form of an .xml file, which I download and save. I get instructions which say: Open original blank form, then In Acrobat, choose Advanced > Forms > Import Data to Current Form.
    Well in Acrobat 8, there is no such menu. There is a choice Forms > Manage Form Data > Import Data but when I select this and select the .xml file, nothing happens.
    What am I doing wrong?
    If the respondent just saves his input as .pdf and sends me this .pdf as an attachment, I can see it, but that is not what Acrobat intended.

    Thanks, Sabian:
    Yes, my xml contains data such as yes, no, maybe
    The .xml I receive is accompanied by instructions that say "to view the completed form: 1) save the xml file 2) open a blank copy of the original pdf, 3) in Acrobat, choose Advanced > Forms > Import Data and browse for the xml 4) you will see the data"
    Well in Acrobat 8, there is no such menu. If I select Forms > Manage Form Data > Import instead, and navigate to the xml, nothing happens - nothing is imported, and I see no data. Is that what I should select?
    I cannot attach my original form - can I send it by e-mail?
    Long time ago I heard of Zildjians that made proprietary cymbal alloys - are you related?

  • Can you import form responses from one responses file to another? I know you can export...

    I have a distributed form with a responses file that has six responses in it. Somehow the distribution got cut off and I had to set up a new distributed form and a new responses file. I was able to export the six old responses to a .csv file, but have not found a way to IMPORT the .csv file into the new responses file.
    "Add" does not work-- it is looking for PDF files only. Does anyone know a way to import those 6 responses into my new responses file? The distributed form did not change in any way, so all of the fields are still exactly the same.
    I can create a master portfolio and just add the two portfolios together, but they just remain as file icons within the portfolio and I need the data to be inline together in one file.
    Thank you very much.

    If you still have the .muse file for the template you want you can open it up in Muse 'Select All' --> Copy.
    Open your destination blank template and paste it. You can have bothe muse files up in Muse at the same time.

  • Need help with designing form for exports

    Hi
    I am pretty new to designing form in adobe acrobat.
    I have adobe acrobat 9 standard with Adobe liveCycle Designer installed.
    There are couple of things I want to do.
    1.
    I would like to add a box where I can change the number (default is 1), and when I increase it, (for instance to two)
    then
    it will postulate the particular sections twice.
    For instance, I am taking two drugs right now, then I would like to increase the number of drugs to 2, so then for each drug
    I would enter appropriate information such as drug name, drug form, route of drug administration etcs
    I hope this is clear
    2.
    I am trying to export this in xml format so that only the ones where the user fills in in pdf form gets exported to xml format.
    I would like the boxes to have its own tag, for instance the drug name mentioned above can have a tag of <drugname></drugname>
    I know this is possible through changing the box's name in binding tab.
    What I am interested in is to add a tag for the section, like a header.
    For example, if I were to enter two drug information I want the first drug information to be exported to be
    <drug>
    <drugname>blah</drugname><drugform>1</drugform><drugroute>oral</drugroute>
    </drug>
    <drug>
    <drugname>drug2</drugname><drugform>1</drugform>
    <drugroute>ophthalmic</drugroute>
    </drug>
    how would I add <drug> </drug> for each drug?
    also, can I change the order of the tags??
    in the pdf form, if the drugname box is displayed later than drugroute box, then when I export it, it will display as
    <drugroute>oral</drugroute><drugname>blah</drugname>
    but I want to manually set the order of tags when exported.
    Sorry I asked so many questions
    I hope it is clear enough for you to visualize what I am trying to do
    Thank you so much

    1. You can certainly add sections for the number of drugs that the user specifies pr
    ovided that the form is set up the correct way to begin with. The drug information section must be wrapped in a subform (usually Poistioned) and that in turn must be wrapped in a flowed subform. Then the form must be saved as dynamic. If this information is all that is on the form then that shoudl be all you need to do. If th edrug section is in the middle of the form then you need to wrap the other parts of the form in a subform so they can be pushed down when we add the drug subforms. It can get confusing ...seeing the form amnd its structure would help to clarify.
    2. You canbnot change the names of tags on the fly but you can change their values. AS mentioned above, when you wrap the Drug information in a subform that subform name can be used as a tag in the XML. Then you could have a node with the tag (or an attribute) that names the drug in question. Something like this:
    <Drug Section>
         <Drug>
              <DrugName></DrugName>
              <Dossage></Dossage>
              <Supplier></Supplier>
         </Drug Subform>
         <Drug>
              <DrugName></DrugName>
              <Dossage></Dossage>
              <Supplier></Supplier>
         </Drug>
    </Drug Section>
    As mentioned earlier this is always easier to explain when you see it in context of your form.....if you want to send it to me at [email protected] I can get you started at least. Please include a description of your issue in the email

  • Moving upgrade version of CS 5.5 Design Premium to new computer with valid serial number but cannot find original CS 4 Design Premium serial number so will not accept

    I am trying to move a fully licensed/registered version of Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium to a new computer, but since it was an upgrade from CS 4 Design Premium the installer says that it cannot find the software that allows it to be an upgrade. I have the old computer and still see the CS 4 installed, but cannot locate the Design Premium serial number. I do not have the original DVD or box for the CS 4 but have all for the CS 5.5.

    If you sign in to your Adobe account online you might be able to find the serial number for your CS4 installation.

  • Reporting and analysis tools for Designer ES XML form responses

    What are recommended applications or tools to use in order to analyze the XML responses from Livecycle Designer forms?
    I am currently using Excel and find it cumbersome and requires a lot of repitition in order to import the individual files.
    Any suggestions, besides purchasing the server product?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    Without going down the server route, have you tried using Acrobat.com to distribute the form? It gives some reasonable tools:
    Also if you open Acrobat and go to the Forms > Manage Form Data menu, you can select 'Merge data files into spreadsheet'.
    I haven't used any third party tools to deal specifically with XML and Excel.
    Hope that helps, in some small way,

  • CRVS2010 Beta - Cannot export report to PDF with unicode characters

    My report has some unicode data (Chinese), it can be previewed properly in the windows form report viewer. However, if I export the report document to PDF file, the unicode characters in exported file are all displayed as a square.
    In the version of Crystal Report 2008 R2, it can export the Chinese characters to PDF when I select a Chinese font in report. But VS2010 beta cannot export the Chinese characters even a Chinese font is selected.

    Barry, what is the specific font you are using?
    The below is a reformatted response from Program Management:
    Using non-Chinese font with Unicode characters (Chinese) the issue is reproducible when using Arial font in Unicode characters field. After changing the Unicode character to Simsun (A Chinese font named 宋体 in report), the problem is solved in Cortez and CR both.

  • Is there a way to export multiple design files at once?

    I currently have about 30 old forms that I am no longer using so I want to clear them from my online account, but I need to keep a copy of the form and responses for audit purposes.
    Rather than go through one by one, is there a way I can batch export the design files, and the responses for the 30 forms?
    Thanks
    Luke

    Unfortunatley no.  You must export the forms one at a time.

  • How does one get a simple URL link onto the Designer Form?

    Greetings:
    Thank heavens for small favors, kudos to Adobe for Designer and its basic email functionality.
    One annoying thing, I am finding it impossible to put a simple link on the Designer Form. Likewise, if I open the form in Acrobat, the link icon on the toolbar is greyed and unavailable, so I cannot select text and turn it into a link.
    I have found that I can make a bookmark with the form open in Acrobat and make that a link to a URL, but I cannot specify the initial view to show the bookmarks open, so there is a very good chance this bookmark/link will never be seen.
    The HTTP button help states:
    "The HTTP submit button operates like a standard button object with these settings:
    Control Type set to Submit
    Submit Format set to URL-Encoded Data
    Submit To URL set to use the http: protocol."
    which doesn't sound like it's meant to function like a simple link, and trying it anyway I get an error message that the url is incorrect.
    Any ideas on this?

    I guess one can't paste html in these posts, here's the code, minus all the html tags, and the brackets for the meta tag, title tag and body tag.
    Opening URL in new window from Acrobat.
    The Code for the first HTML page.
    meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; URL=Original.pdf"
    title New Page 1 title
    BODY onload="window.open('startNewPDF.htm', 'newWindow')"
    Code for the second HTML page which forces the new document to stay on top.
    meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=New.pdf"
    title New Page 1 title
    body onBlur="setTimeout('self.focus()',2500)"
    By the way, I figured out where to apply javascript to a button. Being new to Designer, I did not see that slender script interface at the top.
    James' xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); does indeed work like a charm. I just selected the button, selected Javascript instead of FormCalc, Selected "click" from the event dropdown, and pasted in xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); (changing the URL of course).

  • PDF form responses coming back uneditable

    I have created a lengthy form in InDesign (v.9.2) for a client, which I have exported to PDF then extended in Acrobat Pro (11.0.06) under File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools.
    This makes the form savable (if that's a real word.) The form is sent to their clients, which they fill in, save and send back by email.
    When the form returns, my client wants to be able to edit some of the responses further (mainly checkboxes) then re-save but the Save option in file menu is greyed out. The purple bar says 'Click "Sign" to fill out and send this form etc...'.  If you try to 'Save as > PDF', it will only save a blank copy of the form.
    I assume the client's clients use Reader for the input, and the client definitely uses just Reader.
    I have suggested using an original copy and checking all the checkboxes that the client specified, but they are getting a lot of these forms back and that would be too time-consuming.
    Is there a way round this without them having to upgrade to Acrobat Pro? That would make them distinctly unhappy. Though if the community decreed that was the only option, it could be considered.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

    The form that you sent is not Reader-enabled, so that would be the reason it's not savable with Reader versions prior to 11. Reader 11 is able to save non-enabled forms, so I would your clients could use it, but this doesn't help unless all of the people they distribute it to use Reader 11 as well.
    You should not provide clients with Reader-enabled forms, except for testing purposes. If they will be distributing a form for the purpose of collecting data and need Reader-enabled forms, they need to enable them with their own version of Acrobat. This is an Acrobat licensing issue.
    The Acrobat license also limits the licensee from using data from no more than 500 instances (including hardcopies) of an enabled form if the form has been made available to more than 500 recipients. A way to avoid this limitation is to use Adobe's FormsCentral service, which allows PDF forms to securely submit the form data, which is collected by a server. A team or people can have access to the data and export any response as a filled-in PDF, which can be  further edited as they want. They could instead set up their own web server to collect submissions, but this requires some expertise and more expense, particularly if security is needed. A form can also be set up to submit just the form data by email, which also avoids the licensing limitations, but since email is not secure and notoriously unreliable, it should not be considered for anything of much importance.
    Note that Acrobat Standard is sufficient for enabling the form for use with Reader.
    You should also make them aware of the Preview problem that I mentioned earlier. If they encounter a form that has been corrupted by Preview, they should export the form data and import it into the original blank form. They will need Acrobat for this.

  • Reverting form response to earlier date

    Hi,
    I have accidentally edited some responses on my form and close the form which resulted the original responses being replaced. How can i revert saved form responses to an earlier date so i can retrieve past responses?
    Thank you

    You can use the History button to go "back in time".  Open your form and go to the View Responses tab.  In the lower right of the window is the History button.
    Once the history button is clicked you should see a timeline appear at the bottom of the window.
    Click on one of the empty circles to see your previous data.
    To revert the data you will need to either jot down the correct values or export the data then manually update the information.  To export the data go to the date with the correct data and use menu item Export Responses.  You will then need to open the resulting file in an appropriate application and then manually update the fields in FormsCentral.
