Cannot generate data when running TF_TIME_MAPin sample time dimenation ?

I hava done following:
(1)Run the SQL scripts(owb_time_seq.sqlåowb_time.sql )into target schema.
(2) Import the MDL file (owb_bp_time.mdl).
(3) Copy and paste the times dimension into project to be able to use it.
(4)Copy and paste the mapping to mine own project.
(5)Open the mapping, do a right mouse click on the time dimension and select 'Reconcile inbound'. Select matching strategy to match by bound name
(6)succuess deploy the T_TIMEdimenation and TF_TIME_MAP mapping
when run TF_TIME_MAP mapping,there is no data inserting to dimenation table,what can I do? Can anybody tell me how I can resolve the problem?

I was trying to install Oracle9i and configure a DB instance (my first try at 9i, to be sure) and everything went ok until I was creating the DB instance. The dbca asked for all the parameters and when it was actually in the process of copying files/creating services it stops with the error
DIM-00019 Create Service Error
Then it tries to continue but another error comes up
ORA-12560: TNS: Protocol Adapter Error.
And then it aborts.
Does anyone know what is going wrong here? I'm trying to install in Windows 2000 Server SP4.

I think you need to rephrase your question and be more specific. Also for me the images you are referring to do not exist. From your question I am interpreting it as "how do I program?"

Report returns wrong data when run on server

Hi,
I'm runing CRS XI R2 on Windows Server 2003 SP2. When I refresh a report in the Crystal Reports XI Designer, I'm getting correct data. But when I schedule the report to run on the server it returns wrong data. The data is different from what I see when I refresh it from the designer. In the report I have running totals set up to count customers that meet a certain criteria. The report is very large. It take almost 2 hours to refresh.
I was wondering what is causing the difference in running total data between refreshing it on the designer and running it on the server. Is it returning wrong data b/c of it not reading all the records? Should I be making any changes to the server settings? I saw that under pageserver, there are options for setting the 'Minutes Before an Idle Report Job is Closed' and 'Database Records To Read When Previewing Or Refreshing a Report". Do either of those have anything to do with the report returning incorrect data when being scheduled to run on the server?

Hi Xuandao,
You would need to Use Cell Binding and Trigger concept to accomplish this.
Its simple, however, you would have to work on a trial and error basis to understand this concept as implementing the same is subject to your dashboard and WEBI Design.
Open you LiveOffice.
Insert your WEBI, Now, go to Object Properties of your WEBI, select the second tab that says Prompt, Here, it lists the prompts that you have for your WEBI. This would also enlist your BEx variables as well. Select this BEx variable and click on the button that says Prompt at the bottom of this window. Here, select choose Excel Data Range and click on the cell select button on the right (small button that lets you choose what cell you want to bind this prompt to), Now select a free cell that would not be even populated later on when you run the dashboard say A1 (remember the value that you select). Click on OK and again OK. The WEBI Refreshes and you can see all the prompt values at the cell A1. These are all the possible values stored for your BEx prompt variables (these values are fetched from BW system dynamically).
Now, save this LiveOffice, Go to you dashboard. Connect your dashboard to your Live office. Go to Data-> connections-> Now, select the WEBI and in the right hand pane go to Usage tab, here, Click on Trigger cell button on the right hand side and select A1 in you LiveOffice.
It should work fine.

"Selected report cannot be loaded" when running published crystal analysis

When running published crystal analysis reports (*.car) within Crystal Enterprise 10 i receive the message below. This is happening to all published crystal analysis reports. Can open the reports fine within Crystal Analysis Professional itself.
"Crystal Analysis Professional - The selected report cannot be loaded because one or more required parameters do not have an assigned value. "

If I memory servers, you have to open the Crystal_Regwiz2003.msm in the .NET deployment project. One of the properties of the msm was Keycode (or similar). You entered the keycode here. To find your keycode; in VS2003 IDE, go to the Help | About screen. You will see one of the installed components as Crystal Reports and the keycode will be on the right of that. Copy the keycode from here, paste in the above.

Query not refreshing all data when run in workbook with other queries

All,
I have the following problem. I have a workbook that has two queries, one on each tab.
The specific thing I notice that the company code is not showing up in the query at first until I hit refresh. Both queries use the same company code and user variables. When running the workbook I have each query set to "refresh query when running workbook". I have been able to duplicate this problem in either of the two queries, depending upon which company code variables I use. When I run the workbook, one of the two queries never updates company code variable unless I "refresh" the query directly after pulling up the workbook.
I have changed the company code variable and used other company codes in each query, some required, some not, but ultimately a few of the key figures are not populating with current data and the company code is missing...unless I hit refresh on that query. I have tried creating new workbooks and removing and reinserting the queries, but this doesn't work either.
And both queries run fine when executed alone.
Again, Both queries use the same company code variable.
Any help will be rewarded with points and is appreciated.

Remove the queries from the workbook and reinsert them. This should show the desired result.

C++/CUDA DLL fails to give correct results when running a second time

Hi all.
I just finished writing a C++/CUDA DLL that runs in labview.
It passes a 3d array, crunches the data, then spits out some results as a 2d array.
When I open labview, and run it, I get the predicted results. However if I run the labview code again, it gives me garbage data.
I have to not only close the open VI, but all of labview itself, reopen it, and then it will work again for one run.
I read a thread on somthing similar to this happening with C++ code due to the way labview handled threads, however this was over 10 years ago, and it seems that since LV 2008 this has been fixed. I am running LV 2011.
In my code, I checked that all dynamic memory allocated gets deleted, both on the GPU and CPU so other than that, I'm not sure what the problem could be. What changes when I call the DLL a second time?
Please ask me to clarify anything that you might need to know about the program, and its implimentation.
I have written other labview DLLs in just C++ that have not had this problem, so I wonder if it is a CUDA specific thing, or maybe somthing else I am overlooking.

It seems to be that something not properly closed. What you can try is - unload DLL.
CUDA Compute Context should be theoretically not necessary if your CUDA functions executed "all in one call" (and properly closed at all). The reason for NI Compute is following: it is not guaranteed that thread safe DLL calls will be called in the same thread. So, for example if you have three separate DLL calls in LabVIEW, for example - transfer data to GPU memory, compute, transfer back to the host - they should be done in the same thread (in CUDA terms all functions should be executed within same context). You can call these functions in UI thread - it will work, but the UI thread will be blocked. Or you can mark calls as thread safe, and using NI Compute - then all three calls will be done within same thread and this thread is separated from UI thread.

Create a script that can create entire schema with data when run

Hi,
I need to create a script that creates the entire schema on a database when the script is run. the need is that the script should be capable of creating all schema objects with grants and all, including the table data.
The same objective can be achived through export / import.But we don't want to deliver the dump files instead a script which will be executed on a database created with same database stucture of tablespaces etc.
I have serched the net but yet to achive the goal.
Is there any oracle utility / script file that can do this for me ?
Can Oracle import be used to create the same, the way it is used to create index File ?

You should look at the package dbms_metadata to be able to extract all ddl to recreate a schema. To load the data, you could write scripts that will generate insert statements and spool these to a file (sql generating sql), or you could write scripts that generates a delimited file and use sql loader to load the data into the target system. There are lots of little gotchas in either of these 2 solutions. The biggest 2 right away. 1 - picking a delimiter, 2 - dealing with carriage returns in text data. SQL Developer is able to do some extraction, so before you go writing this stuff yourself, I would check it out to see if it does what you are looking for before you reinvent the wheel.

Dbms_job - changing next date when run from itself

Can you change the next date of a job from a procedure that is called by the job you are changing? 
I have a dbms_job that is scheduled to run on the first monday of the month. The job runs a procedure and this procedure needs to schedule the job at the end of it so that it is ready to run next month (1st monday).
 
So my initial setup is something like
 
dbms_job.submit(101, '02-oct-2006', 'sysdate + 35')
 
and this should run on the 2nd of October and then it will be scheduled to run next on the 6th of November (sysdate of date it ran + 35).
 
I change the interval as part of the procedure as it would need to be sysdate + 28 to get the first monday in december 
I think this is all fine and as expected and should work.
 
My problem is that the job can be run manually also so say on the 16th of October someone runs it. The next run date is now 16th oct + 35 and I recalculate the interval to be sysdate + 21 (to get to next months first monday) . This is wrong as what I want is next run to be 6th November with interval of 21 days. 
I have tried doing a next_date on the job but it always seems to use the interval and ignores the date I give it?? This is only when the job resets itself, as when I just call the procedure (ie not from the job) then next_date works and it gets the date I want??
 
Hopefully this makes sense as it is not that easy to explain...
 
Basically what I want to do is make sure the job is run on the first Monday of the next month (or this month if the job was run before the first monday of this month) regardless of when it was last run.

Duplicated data when run Crystal report

Afternoon all,
I'm trying to create a report which compares quantity of sold goods and qty of orderd goods.
I've started just with one table for sold quantity using parameter fileds for From Date, To date, Customer and Part Number. I've ran the report and everything is OK.
When I add another table (and link the fields) to get ordered quantities and run the report I receive duplicate data for ordered goods.
To be more precise, I think that the duplicate data are in the rows where I have sold quantity but no ordered goods.
As for example:
Invoice Date   Inv. Qty             Date of ordered g.       Ordered Qty
7.6.2006        80                     9.6.2006                        160
9.6.2006        80                     12.6.2006                       160
11.6.2006      80                     12.6.2006                       160
The Sum formula then for Ordered qty gives 480 pcs, but it should be just 320.
I'm sorry, If you have already answered similar question. I was not able to find it.

Hi Branislav,
I think this is just because of dates in your Invoice Qty table. Do the following to create the report.
--Create report with Invoice and Order tables and use inner join to join the tables.
--Insert a group on Part Number and place the following fields on detail section
Inv_Date,Inv_Qty,Ord_DAte,Ord_Qty
Now your report looks like :
Invoice Date Inv. Qty Date of ordered g. Ordered Qty
7.6.2006 80 9.6.2006 160
9.6.2006 80 12.6.2006 160
11.6.2006 80 12.6.2006 160
Now right click on Order_date,Ord_Qty and format fields--click on suppress duplicated
Now your report looks like
Invoice Date Inv. Qty Date of ordered g. Ordered Qty
7.6.2006 80 9.6.2006 160
9.6.2006 80 12.6.2006 160
11.6.2006 80
Now to get summary on order_Qty Create a running total like
Right click on running totals--new give the nameSelect the Ord_Qty field to get total, Type of Summary should be sum
Evaluate--Click On change of field and select Order_DAte
Reset--Click On change of group.
Now place this running total in group footer under Order_Qty. This will solve issue.

Cannot find invoice when running APLIST.sql

Hi
We have the cheque number, and we have the supplier name. Usually, when these two are used the matching invoices are returned. In this case nothing is returned that matches the invoices that I am trying to find.
Outside of the appslist routine, we tried running these queries :
SELECT * from AP_INVOICES where INVOICE_NUM LIKE '%invoice_number%'; but this returns no rows.
At a bit of a loss now, since there seems no way to locate these invoices.

No, I have not set the application context yet - still trying my luck with AP_INVOICES_ALL.
On the form, we can see this, under the Payments form:
Invoices Date Amount GL Date Payment Amount
Witholding Tax - 23434234 -3
My question is - my query right now is
select * from AP_INVOICES_ALL where INVOICE_NUM LIKE '%Witholding%';
and no rows ar returned.
I am going to try the same with just 23434234 and see what comes off.
OK - that query gave me, on selecting VENDOR_ID a result.
What I need to know is which values in AP_INVOICES_ALL correlate to those is APLIST.sql. Specifically, I need to know how I can extract the SUPPLIER_NAME. Is it VENDOR_ID, or VENDOR_SITE_ID ? ?
It seems we are getting there . . .

Unable to extract data when running a query

i have create the InfoObject , InfoCube and the DataSource . the DTP shows that everything is running fine but when i design a query and execute it, it show "No Applicable Data Found.". so what are the possible reason for this to happen?

there can be two possible error which causing to not showing data in queries,i will explian both of then below-
(1) go for the characteristic info object for which you are making query,and check that objects bex properties,it may -data or text.
use same property in query for that characteristic .the way to do this is -open query in change mode,go for that characteristic ,right click and go to properties and there change the properties respectively.
(2) may data is not loaded correctly for that Info Provider on which u made your query.
check the data mart status (right sign on the left hand side in request tab of that info provider, to reach there right click info provider and go to manage. )
about ur problem of not loading data again on info provider,if u already loaded the data ,delete the erroneous req by making it red first and then delete it.
IF there is no already data in info provider then go to psa and check the erronreous record in respect of correct records(i hope u r using PSA during loading data to info provider ), ther u find the clue of failure ,in most of the cases it becoz of presence of special characters,

To begin, I chose the Classification Model Build wizard after the ODM connection is running. Then,the table CENSUS_2D_BUILD_UNBINNED,the "Single record per case" and "No–unbinned…" radio buttons were applied. Click the CLASS as the Target and "No" radio button as no bias. At last, I chose Naïve Bayes without changing the Algorithm Settings.
And I found the same problem occured when I ran the Cluster Wizard. How can I figure it out?
