Cannot "Join CD Tracks" No Matter What!

I made an error in my previous post: "combine cd tracks" should read "join cd tracks" wherever it appears in the text. I just didn't want to confuse anyone that tried to help me. Thanks.

Did you select the very left column to sort the disk? Click again on the little triangle until track #1 is at top and the last track at the bottom.

  • Cannot "Combine CD Tracks" No Matter What!

    I have read the discussion on the issue of iTunes suddenly not allowing you to "combine cd tracks." I read the article that outlined the "solution," however, I have always done everything as specified in those instructions, and none of that information was new to me. After about 6 weeks of faithful service, iTunes suddenly stopped allowing me to use the "join cd tracks" feature. Since buying the computer, I haven't installed any other applications or changed any settings. I have downloaded the latest OS and iTunes software, but that has not solved the problem. All of the arrows are pointing up in the iTunes window, all of the tracks are contiguous, and all of the tracks are selected when I try to join the tracks. I really need to solve this problem ASAP. Can anyone help? You would be a life saver.

    Make sure you are doing the delete when looking at your library ("Music"), not a playlist.

  • I cannot fix this problem no matter what I try, please help!!

    My iPod Touch is stuck in the past. No matter what I do or change, the date always reverts back to December 31, 1969. I wouldn't mind hanging out on New Years Eve in 1969 with all the hippies listening to Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison but let's face it, It's 2011 and I'd like to bring my iPod into this century. The version that's installed is 4.2.1, and even after syncing, it still is living in the past. Does anyone know how to fix this? Even when I try to adjust the date/time manually, it goes right back to 12/31/1969.  Alot of the apps I run won't even open because the date is wrong. I need to get this fixed as soon as possible. Please help me. Thanks.

  • Cannot Join Cd Tracks

    Hi,
    My join cd tracks is greyed out. I been trying to join cd tracks into one. It did work but then after 4 months ago the join cd tracks got greyed out. I need this option cause i have single tracks that i would like to join into one. I did hightlight selected all i do see the blue but still no join cd tracks not avaible.
    Thanks

    Are you trying to do this with a CD you are ripping or a CD that is already ripped as files on your computer?  iTunes will only do it with CDs as you are ripping them.  If it is other tracks you need to try using something such as the Join Together utility on the Dougscripts web site.

  • Cannot synch deleted emails no matter what I try

    I cannot synch deleted emails on either of 2 personal accounts, nor the integrated account.  My current company does not have BES.  I have verified all the settings to synch deleted email on both the device and accessing my BB account on on internet.  According to Doc. ID KB13509, I should be able to do this with MSN email and my work email (IMAP).  I have had both the warranty centers at AT&T and AT&T referred to BB service support try to do this, and they all say my settings should be work but still no success.  Between the 2 accounts I receive about 150 - 200 emails a day, so if this doesn't synch with my laptop emails (using outlook 2007) I am sunk. My outlook is synch'd with the mail servers and that works fine.
    Only 2 brute force solutions come to mind, delete all accounts and activate once a week, or try to synchronize from laptop outlook on a daily basis, both of which are really not acceptable since I travel a lot and find this extremely burdensome.  Please help

    Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
    This should work to delete your emails from the server, when deleted from the BB.
    Have you checked your settings at your BIS carrier login to "synchronize deleted messages between handheld and server"?
    Are you also trying to sync those deletes to Outlook?

  • Cannot connect to Skype no matter what I do.

    Everything is up to date, and I have tried both the modern Windows version and the Skype for desktop version. I have tried logging in with my Microsoft Account, with Facebook, and with my Skype account. None of them work. And when I try to check for updates, it says "can't check for updates." (Note: I know I have the latest version, so I shouldn't need updates... but I'm just wondering if this is somehow related.)
    Meanwhile, I can sign in on Skype on my Mac just fine, and my credentials and password are fine on the website as well.
    What is going on?
    I'm using a Lenovo laptop, 64-bit with Windows 8.1.
    Oh, and I also checked the Firewall and made sure that Skype was allowed access on public and private networks.

  • Cannot install iTunes 9 no matter what I do

    I have been trying to install iTunes 9 for the past few days and with no luck.
    I keep getting the same error message.
    "Unable to install the GEAR driver set at this time. The GEAR AspiWDM service used by the GEAR driver set is scheduled to be deleted during the next system reboot. Please reboot the system and run iTunes again"
    I've deleted and uninstalled everything to try and do a clean install but still get the same message.
    Is there any way I can get this issue resolved or does anyone know of a better solution to remedy this?

  • Cannot centre web page no matter what.

    Hello,
    Like the title says, I tried all methods: Making the left and right margin of the wrapper tag set to: auto, I tried just making the margin set to: auto aswell, and it still doesnt centre. I tried the old method of div align="centre" after the body tag, but that doesnt work either.
    Here's the code for my CSS (the wrapper div is exactly:  #main_container) The wrapper is not at the top for some reason, (I just put it there now to make it easier to find)

    Without seeing the structure of your HTML, it is always difficult to suggest anything useful.  However, the basic principle of centering a page is to have a body CSS and main_container CSS to be something like this:
    body {
         margin: 0;
         padding: 0;
         text-align: center;
    #main_container {
         margin: 0 auto;
         text-align: left;
    This should work in most cases.

    I cannot refresh the screen, no matter what I try. The "restore" is not the same thing. So I always get old versions of websites, including my own. I cannot see a new version of any website I have visited previously. I need to know how to REFRESH my screen, and there is no way to do it!!!!!

    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Itunes match; a) if incorrect genre etc data has been uploaded to icloud, cannot delete it or replace the track/ data b) now have 9k tracks "stuck" in icloud and cannot delete them no matter what I do. eh?

    Hi
    I;m having so itunes match issues.
    I ran itunes match. I';ve since foumd, I think:
    a) if incorrect genre etc data has been uploaded to icloud, I cannot find how to delete it and reupload correct song and data. I am presently assuming that once songs are matched, the meta-data, genre, etc etc thats uploaded is now treated as 'the master' by itunes.
    Question: if I want to change the genre on a track, whats the correct way to overwrite the data held in the icloud? if I delete the track i just bring down the old incorrect genres again!
    b) I've deleted from the icloud all my music tracks (select all, delete, Y to delete tracks from icloud). I have turned off itunes match on my ipad, iphone, appletv mac and windows pc. I've deleted the itunes library files too from mac and pc in desperation. But hours /days later, when I turn on itunes match on mac or pc, it tells me i still have 9k tracks in icloud. All with the old, wrong meta-data ready to mess up my [now-corrected]  files back on my pc!
    I cannot delete them no matter what I do. The number of tracks in the cloud was 12k, now 9k so its reducing, by about 1500 tracks a day.
    does it really take itunes servers that long to delete the tracks I've asked it to delete, or am i seeing garbage data?
    is there a quicker way of deleting all my itunes match library, songs and data?

    Thanks for the helpful replies.
    My original intention was to 'upgrade' some of my tracks. In those cases, I'd iTunes matched, and the process was completed.
    I later downloaded those new tracks but found during that process, the tracks I was downloading had the old metadata.
    I guess the idea there is to update the local genres, 'update iTunes match' and wait. How long, I don't know but that's the current solution,yes ?
    Thing is I was trying to get my local library updated and, as I thought it, back in order, but was finding my local genre updates were being overwritten. I had a lot of tracks that kept on stating they could be downloaded so I thought the new files hadn't been copied down...
    I think I was trying to get match to do too many things at once.
    Deleting my tracks in the cloud? Was an act of desperation to start over with all known good genres locally and to re- upload, start over. I'd read in some forum or other to do that, I guess that was wrong,
    Ok so I will.. Err,
    A  wait and see how long it takes to delete my tracks in the cloud ie let it complete the process I'd already started.
    B  Correct my local tracks genres
    C  Wait til those changes propagate up to the iCloud ( or whatever the right term is)
    Q1: How long should I wait for A and C to complete?
    Q2: Is it 100% definite that local genre changes will get copied up to the cloud, when I 'update iTunes match'?
    I don't see any animated cloud icon, but I will watch for it!
    Thanks again
    Iain

  • It does not matter what I do, I cannot get Java security settings to allow an applet to run.

    I have gone to just about every extreme possible, and no matter what I do, I cannot get Java to allow an applet to run. I have been trying to do a J-Track on some satellites on the NASA/JPL website, and no matter what I do, and from the totally useless "help" sites here in the Firefox "help" pages, I cannot get the &^%$#@ applet to run.

    Did you try to clear the Java cache?

  • My iPhone 4S has stopped receiving iMessages, cannot send/load any pictures over whatsapp, cannot join the wifi in my house anymore. What has happened to my iPhone i haven't made any changes?

    My iPhone 4S has stopped receiving/sending iMessages, cannot send/load any pictures over whatsapp and cannot join the wifi in my house anymore.
    Essentially all the things I use my phone for have now stopped working. I constantly have 3G connected (even though i dont want to use it, i want to connect to the wifi in my house) but still when I try to download/ send a picture over whatsapp it comes up with an error message saying the server is unverified, or something equally ridiculous.
    I deleted the app so i could reinstall it (as if that would help), but the app store is started saying "unable to connect", despite 3G, so that bright idea died out pretty sharpish.
    Whenever i try to turn on iMessage, it asks for my Apple ID password, which I know I've typed in correctly because I reset the **** thing about 4 times due to it apparently being "incorrect". Even so, it repeatedly asks for the password over and over as soon as I've entered it, saying it was "unable to connect" before a final "incorrect password" message pops up just to add an extra smack of annoyance.
    I haven't changed a single setting on my iPhone whatsoever. It just suddenly started spiralling into what is now £28/month-worth of pure frustration.
    I don't even have any music or photos on it as I had to free up 3.5GB of space on the **** thing to allow it to update, naively thinking that would solve the problem, but alas it did not.
    I have seen a few questions posted like this one, usually just one of the problems I have, but I seem to have rounded up the whole bunch (lucky me). None of the previously posted questions have received any replies.
    Can some please help me! Honestly, if i see another "unable to..." or "unverified source" pop up again I'll probably smash the thing against the side of my house.
    Cheers.

    On your iPad, go to [Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings] Once that is done, re-connect your iPad to your wifi network.

    Hi Demo,
    Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
    I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
    My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to
