Cannot mouse-click anything in Oracle forms
Hi, I can't mouse-click any of the icons/menu/options within Oracle forms. I can navigate using keypad, but can't click using mouse. The screen won't respond. I'm having same problem when opening SQL developer. Appreciate some pointers to troubleshoot the issue. Thanks.

Cannot Left Click anything in AE
This happened today, everything has been working just fine, but now when I start Adobe After Effects CS4 (or CS5) either or, I can left click New Composition, but when the menu opens up to select 1280x720 etc, I cannot left click on anything, as I roll the cursor over the boxes, it DOES highlight as if I could select it, but clicking does absolutely nothing. I can TAB through the selections and work that way, but obviously that is a pain in the *&*^.
I can click on CLOSE (the red X) and close After effects, I can click and select any of the top menu itesms (File, Edit, Composition, Layer, etc) just fine, even when I go into preferences, I cannot select anything with the mouse.
I am using windows 7 Ultimate 64x, all current updates, 16gb of ram, quad core cpu, 2x5970, and NO its not the mouse, it works fine in every single other app.
When I open AE CS4, the cursor cannot select, as well as it looks like a pixelated waffle, like a square of black and white pilxels.
I have tried rebooting, and taken out all plugins.
Please I need help! thanks!Ahh, this *might* be it, I did turn on dual monitors yesterday, so can I not run dual monitors with After Effects? I didn't update my video drivers, maybe I should? Let me turn off the second monitor and see if that corrects the issue. brb.
Ok that worked!!! for CS5, it's working like perfect. So can I not run dual monitors? That would be a real pain!
CS4 still has the pixelated "waffle" corruption cursor. The graphics cards are not overclocked and the CPU and GPU are below average temps.
Thats a pic of what it looks like..
Thanks for helping -
Cannot connect to database using Oracle Forms 10g
hi,
I had installed Oracle 10g database and Oracle Forms 10g on Windows Vista Home Basic. However, I was unable to connect to
the database in Oracle Form using scott/scott for database "orcl", with the following error message:
ORA-00604: error occured at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01009: missing mandatory parameter
However, I could access to the database using this set of username and password. Am I missing something? Thanks.Hi,
After a successful installation of forms 10g in vista, I'm about to run OPatch Universal Installer for the patch 7047034
in order to fix the form bugs. However, I cannot run the command "opatch apply C:\oracle_form\Patch26_Rel_10105\7047034"
with the error "The Oracle Home c:\devsuitehome_1 is not registered with the Central Inventory.". Then I try to create a
oraInst.loc file, but not much change still. The situation is that oracle 10g is installed before oracle developer suite
10g, and when I try to set oracle_home to oracle 10g's path ("C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1") and run "opatch lsinventory",
it returns the correct result; when oracle developer suite 10g's path ("c:\devsuitehome_1") is set as the oracle_home,
the same command would return a different result as "LsInventory: OPatch Exception while accessing O2O".
I've verified through Oracle Universal Installer that the Central Inventory has included both as oracle_home (oracle 10g
and oracle developer suite 10g). I'm very confused now, though it seems that the problem could be solved by registering the
Central Inventory with oraacle developer suite 10g's path. Thanks. -

Hi,
Requirement: Get Windows User Name using Oracle Web Forms 6i.
Tools Using: Windows NT, Oracle web forms 6i, Oracle 10g DB.
Description: I am using GetClientInfo JBean from otn.oracle.com, which gets windows user name, IP address and machine name. The demo I got from oracle web site uses Jinitiator version 1.1.7.18. While we are using the latest version Jinitiator 1.3.1.17. Due to this reason, I am unable to use Javakey which comes with older version but doesn't come with newer version, that's why I can't create the new JavaBean Java identity (PJC).
Please advise what to do. All environment variables are set everything is done, this is the only thing bothering me.
I went through the article 202768.1 from metalink, but on step 5, it gives an error keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 Certificate.
Also, please let me know if there is any other workaround for this requirement.
Thanks & Best Regards,
MoHi,
Thanks for your kind reply. Actually there was a problem in creating a certificate, now it is okay with the same method. Certificate got imported on client and everything is ready.
Now, the problem is when I try to set Bean Area Implementation Class property with oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo, it gives an error FRM-13008 Cannot find JavaBean with name 'oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo'.
I went through the articles 1072329.6, 196824.1, and set ClassPath and Path variables with proper values. Also, I have copied jar file and signature file in forms60/java folder. I don't see any problems. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. My limitation is that I have to do all this in forms6i.
I searched forums on metalink and found out that someone installed Patch 15, and everything went okay for him. Do you think I should install Patch 15? if YES, how will I do it, I mean should I first uninstall my forms and then install patch15 or install the patch on my forms?
Thanks so much for your help.
Thanks & Best Regards,

Hi everyone
i don't know anything in oracle forms , and all what i want to do is the following :
I have a table called 'fp_log' with 2 columns 'ID' and "UIS'
I have another table called 'EMP' with a column 'FP' which is a 'LONG RAW' type and another column 'EMP_ID'
i have a button and when i press the button with F11 i need to write code into it , the code should do the following :
check if the column 'FP' in table 'EMP' has a value or is it a null when EMP_ID = x for example
if it has a value and not a null i need to check if column 'UIS' in table 'FP_LOG' where ID in 'FP_LOG' is equal 1 is equal to 'EMP_ID' to show a message "Wrong FP" then exit the code without completing the rest of it .
in other language :
If (FP from EMP where EMP_ID = x) is not empty then
-- if (UIS from FP_LOG where ID=1) != (EMP_ID) then
-- -- message "WRONG FP"
-- -- exit the button function without doing the rest of the code
-- end if
end if
it is an easy job for who knows oracle at least a little :-)
and thanks in advance :-)You can try the follow code:
declare
temp_fp long raw := null;
temp_uis number := null;
begin
select fp
into temp_fp
from emp
where emp_id = x;
if temp_fp is not null then
select uis
into temp_uis
from fp_log
where id = 1;
if temp_uis != x then
message('wrong fp');
message(' ',no_acknowledge);
end if;
end if;
end;
Hope it helps you,
Fabrizio.

oracle form 6.0, how to do 3D chart, calender,mouser over changing....in we form, like microsoft style.
Or it's better use 9i or 10g jdeveloper? or other tchnology?The cpu resources are only limited once the cpu's are 100% utilized. It is highly unlikely that dom0 will try to use 100% of a cpu, let alone all cpus. Only when there are no idle physical cpus would you run into issues.
You may want to try reducing the number of vcpus in the windows guest. I have seen reports from users claiming that having more vcpus in a windows guest causes it to run slower. -
Whenever I go to a site or click anything, I always have to move my mouse for the page to load, why is this happening? (When I go to a site full of images, I move my mouse a little bit at a time and it loads one image at a time)
Hi, Tom.
FYI: You've not stated which of your listed Macs is having the problem. However, the following may help in any case:
1. Did you install Front Row using the Front Row hack on a Mac that did not ship from the factory with Front Row installed? If so, See my "Uninstalling the Front Row hack" FAQ. This has been known to cause a variety of problems, including the menu bar (Clock, Spotlight) issues you noted.
2. If you did not install the Front Row Hack, an incompatible or corrupted Startup or Login Item may be partly to blame for the problems with the menu bar. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.
3. As a general check, run the procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
4. Re: Safari and Mail, if not sorted by any of the above, see also:• "Safari: Blank icon after installing Security Update 2006-002 v1.0."
• My my "Multiple applications quit unexpectedly or fail to launch" FAQ
Good luck!

Cannot load Java plug-in and access R12 Oracle form from client
Hi, one of my user cannot open Oracle form when accessing R12 environment using IE6. After selecting responsibility and menu, it got stuck after 50% processing when trying to load Java applet. It never got completed even after waiting for 2-3 hours.
Is there any browser setting that needs to be modified? I checked popup blocker and activeX setting. All seem to be in order. Kindly assist. Thanks.Hi,
What is the difference between this client and other clients?
Delete the browser cache/history files and check then. If this does not help, enable trace for JRE (as per Note: 549423.1 - How to enable tracing and logging for Sun JRE (Native Plug-in)) and see if it shows any errors when you encounter this issue.

Mouse Scroll Not Working in oracle forms
Hi,
I Created a master and detail block.. In Detail block following Properties i set
No. of Records to be displayed : 10
Scroll bar : no
Without having the scroll bar i wannt to check all the records in the detail Block.
for this i created key_scrolldown trigger in form levl called thye builtin
SCROLL_DOWN;
i'm using Oracle 10g.. JIniator for Running Oracle Forms
applying this Coding this function is not working..
Can anybody tell this How to oversome from this...???
Cheers.What version of Oracle Forms are you using? You should always include this in your posts. :)
Mouse scrolling is only enabled in Web runtime of Forms - so you must be using Forms 9i or higher.
Does JRE Support mouse scrolling function?If memory serves, Mouse scroll was first introduced in Java 1.5.0. Therefore, if you want enble the mouse scroll wheel in Forms, you must be using JRE 1.5.0 or higher. I strongly recommend you use Java 1.6.0_33 or higher - but do not use Java 1.7.0 as it has not been certified with Oracle Forms yet.
In order to use the JRE over the Jinitiator, you must modify your configuration to enable use of the JRE. Please take a look at Oracle 10gR2 Forms Services – Using Sun's Java Plug-in. This Oracle White Paper is for Forms 10g Release 2, but the instructions are basically the same for 9i and 11g as well.
Hope this helps,

Running a project by clicking a icon without running oracle form builder
Hi,
How can I Run a project by clicking a icon without running oracle form builder?????

AshrafHi!
For forms 6i client/server just create a shortcut for your application like:
%forms_home%\bin\ifrun60.exe your_formand set the working path to your forms folder.
For web forms create a shortcut with the url to your server/pc like this:
http://pcname:port/forms/frmservlet?config=your_configand create a config entry in your %forms_home%/forms/server/formsweb.cfg
for setting the modulename (fmx) and the working path for your application.
