Cannot Move Thread to MSDN Forum

I just tried to move a question posted in the TechNet "Forums Issues" forum to an MSDN forum. But when I select anything other than TechNet in the selection box, I get nothing, no list of forums to choose from. I tried in IE 9, IE 11, and Firefox. Are
we no longer able to move threads from TechNet to MSDN?

Reporting annoying issues for the entire Microsoft website (MSDN, forums, all)

Is there any place where I can report bugs with how the Microsoft web sites behave? I can only find forums and "Microsoft Answers" categories about single products that Microsoft makes, but nothing about the infrastructure itself.
For about two weeks now, I am required to log into my account every few hours whenever I access any Microsoft website. This includes MSDN help content, forums, or other resources. I need to login after opening the website through F1 help in Visual Studio
as well as accessing a microsoft.com link from anywhere else like a web search or a direct link from web or an application.
Auto-complete does not work either. My browser (Firefox) does save the password, but it never fills it into the form. Other people have already noticed that
Microsoft applies some dirty tricks here. And even if the login is remembers for a moment, it's slow as hell. It takes a second or two to load the login.live.com page (which is not what I wanted to see), then it sits there for some more seconds before going
anywhere. Other login services like Google or StackOverflow manage to log me in all within one second and most of the time I don't even see it.
And then there's still that insecure SSL-to-non-SSL-submit warning that only occurs in other browsers then IE. Has anybody cared about that in the last couple years?! I'm not getting it now, probably because I'm not logged in anymore. It all slowly falls
apart, piece by piece. Next step is probably losing my data or not loading it at all.
THIS – IS – ANNOYING! And it really makes me feel like I don't want to use Microsoft products anymore (because even good desktop applications are connected to that silly website). I have opened a
Microsoft Connect ticket for a part of this issue (it's grown bigger since then), but this ticket is totally ignored. If microsoft.com went down, they'd certainly care within minutes or hours. This bug is not even regarded in
weeks!
So do I have to write a postal letter to the president of the whole company or do they have support staff for that?! Do they have anybody who is capable of maintaining their website? It's really frustrating how Microsoft has a web presence that is worse
than what our first-year trainees come up with. It's full of bugs and this is currently only the most relevant one. Do they even care about how the world sees them? Or is Microsoft currently preparing (and even failing) to move out of business?

Print message print cartridge cannot move because of paper jam but the paper jam has been cleared.

My Envy 4502 printer message window says that the print cartridge cannot move and to clear any paper jam obstruction. There was a paper jam and I cleared it but the message "the print cartridge cannot move and to clear any paper jam obstruction" remains there and I cannot remove it or get the printer to print. I tried everythng listed in the troubleshooting section of the help guide in the software. I uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it which didn't help in the slightest--the message about the print cartridge is still there. I also tried unplugging the printer overnight (to try to clear the memory) and this also did not help--that message is still there. By the way, I can easily move the printer cartridge by hand and I can hear the cartridge moving when the printer attempts to work. I would appreciate any help from anyone to get my printer to work again!

Cannot move the pages from one document to another

Hi,
I cannot move the pages from one document to another, abobe gets crashed. I am not sure but I think this was happening when I try to copy or move the threaded content. How to resolve this, this is happening in both CS4 and CS5. Can anyone help me?

1. Open two documents, for ex doc1 and doc2, doc1 contais 4 pages, doc2 contains 2 pages
2. Using Move Pages from the Pages panel menu in doc1, moving 1st two pages to doc2
Move Pages : 1-2
Destination : After page 1
Move to : doc2
Actually I was not able to copy the textframe which is linked with another, immediately it crashes.

Cannot move file with Content & Structure feature

Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the Content & Structure feature of SharePoint 2013.
I have people with "Design" permission level and I realized they don't have access to the action "Move" in the content
manager.
How come the button "Move" is disabled? What permissions are required to use this action?

Hi,
Please understand it is by design that the issue occurs when using the site content and structure to move items within the sites or to new location. You should have higher level permission.
This is because the site content and structure uses the Content Migration (known as PRIME) export/import methods to move content. The PRIME API requires site collection admin privileges to be utilized which is why even site owner cannot move content.

The Print Carriage Cannot Move error message

I tried to align printer because my printing output as been off center. However, when I try to run the align printer function, the printer stops after a few seconds and a few strange noises, and displays the error: The Printer Carriage Cannot Move. There is normally a sheet of paper jammed in the back carriage, but after I clear it, and try again, the same thing happens. Strangely, I don't have the paper jam issue when I copy or print (i just have an alignment problem). Why do I continue to have paper jam issues when I try to run the align printer function, but not any other functions?For instance, when I ran the clean printer function, the paper and the test came through very smoothly. What gives? please help. thanks!

Cannot MOVE layers in PS cs5.1

1. How the hell do you change the language?????? Cannot change language !!!!!
very frustrating this forum. I am an American. I use English. The page loads Italian
because I am in Italy. I choose change the language to English at bottom
of page and nothing changes. WTF Adobe? Why not just read the language
of the browser and USE THAT LANGUAGE.
2. I cannot move layers in an open image with many layers. If I choose a layer
and try to move it, it snaps back to where it was. Anyone help me with this?
Don't even know if this will work because of the BROKEN LANGUAGE SELECTOR.

Well, this is not really a helpful answer.
I have a wacom tablet for example, and it has never
proved a problem.
I do have a few plug-ins but they have never been a problem
also, ealier the same file worked fine and nothing
has been added or changed to PS since the beginning
of the week.
On the second restart the computer, I was running only PS on the machine
with same result. I have had PS do strange things sometimes and
were fixed with a restart.
That is a lot of points to consider, I guess the key being
"interfere with mouse events".
I will go ahead and move out some plugin and try
some of your suggestions but it seems overly broad to me.
I was hoping that some control setting I have overlooked
might be the cause, but your reply seems to not favor this idea.
Of course I could wipe my hard disk drive and reinstall everything
but it seems a situation only related to the move tool and
moving layers.....

Cannot move items. Cannot move or copy folders...

I have the most baffling problem. This is with any version of Outlook. I'm logged into a terminal server as the user of this mailbox. Its inbox has many subfolders. One is a folder called "2014". At the same level
is a folder we'll call "Test". When I drag "Test" onto "2014" I get this entire message:
"Cannot move items. Cannot move or copy folders. Cannot move folder. A top-level folder cannot be moved to one of its sub-folders. Or, you may not have permissions for the folder."
Here's the thing... I've given ownership permission to the inbox folder and both subfolders in question. I still get this error. There are other people that share this mailbox and I've done the same thing with one of them; owner permission
to all subfolders and full access to the mailbox via exchange. No matter what permission I give to anyone, including the mailbox owner I'm logged in as, outlook refuses to move the folder. It's not a case of a top level folder being moved into
one of its subfolders. The actual owner of the mailbox has ownership permissions to everything yet I still get this error.
Any ideas?

Edit: I can't even create a folder in the inbox. It just says "Cannot create the folder". I own everything to do with the folders.

Please first check if you can reproduce this issue from OWA. If it works correctly in OWA, it means the issue is with Outlook side. We can try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel and then reconfigure the account in the new mail profile to see the
result.
If this issue continues in OWA, it could be caused by a permission synchronization problem. I'd recommend you post a new question in the Exchange forum to get further assistance:

SharePoint online - "open in Explorer" - cannot move file to subfolder - access denied.

Windows 8.1, office 365 64bit.
It is suggested that webdav is not compatible with 64 Bit office.

Can someone confirm this or provide a definitive fix to the problem below?
Problem:
Using SharePoint online I browse to a Library then click "Open library in Windows Exporer."
Using internet explorer I can create a file but cannot move that file to a subfolder -> "Error 0x800700E0 - Access Denied".
The screen grab below shows error returned when attempting to move test9.txt to the CHANGE REQUEST folder.
(On my Windows 7, Office 2010 laptop I can move the file - no error).
I have googled this and completed many suggested fixes (check stay logged-in, add to trusted sites, ensure weblcient service is running, edited registry etc.

I tested the same scenario per your post, and my environment is windows 8.1 with 64-bit Office 2013 installed.
When I accessed the SharePoint Online site library with Open with Explorer for the first time, the same error occurred when moving documents to a subfolder.
Then when I add the site to the trusted site in Internet Explorer(IE), then re-open the site in IE. And then open the library with Open with Explorer, the issue did not occur when moving documents to a subfolder.
Please make sure that the sites are added to the trusted sites in IE.
And please also check if the account has permission to move the files to subfolder in SharePoint library.

I need to search a MSDN forum like "Windows Embedded Compact Native Application Development". Let's say I want to search for "project properties". I've selected the forum at the left pane. Now I entered the search phrase in the field
"Search forums questions".
All I get as answer where any forum posts that contain either the word
project or the word properties but nothing with "project properties". Is there any sensible approach to qualify the search?

Currently there is no way to use AND in the search feature. There have been plenty of complaints about this, hopefully we'll get an updated search feature in the future.

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 Ink Catridge Cannot move at a particular location.

My HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 is fucntioning properly except that it stops prinitng at a particular point of a document. It will print fine all other documents without a problem. But there are some pages in my pdf documents which will create a problem in my printer while priniting. There is no problem in the document but the printer will stop printing and tells that the ink catridge cannot move. It is like I have 14 lines in my document. It will print fine upto 10 lines and after that the problem occurs. It will never print after that point. But it will print fine if I try to print any other different documents. I have check for paper jam or smearing and everything I could but none of them is helping. Please help me.

I see that you are having some printing issues.
Is the issue only with the one program that you are using for that particular document?
I suggest that we start off by simply running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
