Cannot sync old phone info to 4s

I have gone through a 3s and two 4's without any trouble syncing the previous phones data. Though with the new iphone 4s i cant seem to sync the information (contacts and notes are my prioity) from my previous phones. unfortunatly both my iphone 4's were stolen and when i went to restore old information on my 4S it just restored itself to how it is now. Im on the same computer i was when syncing all the other phones, so im hoping that the old back up are still on the computer and that itunes didnt just screw me over. If there any help at all, its much appreciated, the notes on the iphones were very important to me = <

By reading the support document that you linked to the forum with. Backup old device, activate new device, restore from backup of old device on new device.

    You don't. If you use a 3rd party to "fix it" or attempt to do it yourself, Apple will reject the return and charge you the full price of the phone as if you had not returned it at all.
    It's too late. You should have been backing up before it failed.

    Hello guys, I was able to successfully update my BlackBerry Curve 3G phone from version 5 to version 6. I love the new version of the BlackBerry OS. I was able to sync it using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. However recently I'm encountering issues whenever I try to plugin my phone to my computer. Before when I plug it in, I receive a popup that asks me if I am going to charge the phone, sync it or use as a mass storage device. Now, I don't see that message or that popup. It only charges the phone and that's it. The BlackBerry Desktop manager says it's not connected. I even tried connecting the phone via Bluetooth, still no luck. I have tried to uninstall all of the USB devices using the Device Manager as well as installing the USB Drivers from the BlackBerry / RIM website. Still, I can't sync my phone. It just charges it. Btw, I don't see a "BlackBerry" device inside the Device Manager window. I tried using a different laptop, it only charges the phone and I receive a message "USB Device Not recognized." I tried uninstalling the Desktop Manager, USB Drivers fomr the RIM website and uninstalling all of the USB devices. Then after restarting the compute,r I decided to reinstall the Desktop Manager and the USB drivers from the RIM website. Still again, no luck. I can't sync my phone using both computers. Btw, my first computer cannot recognize the phone, it just charges it but it does not show a "USB Device not recognized." message. I'm thinking this issue happened after updating the BlackBerry System Software to a minor version via Desktop Manager. Becuase a few days ago I as able to use it to my computer. It's version something. Guys please help me out. I tweeted BlackBerry and they told me to contact my carrier. My Dad bought the phone from Abu Dhabi without any subscription to a specific carrier. So guys, how can I sync my files? I even tried on using the "calfix.exe" that connects the computer to the bootrom something of my BlackBerry phone but still It does not detect the phone.     First make sure you have the most recent version of Desktop Software installed. If you do and are still having the same issue on 2 separate PCs it looks like a device issue.
    Do you have a recent backup of your BlackBerry? You may want to try a clean reload of device software if the Update Software feature in the Desktop Software can connect to the device. If its unable to detect the device, try the following to reinstall the device software.
    First, make sure the device software is installed on your PC. You can download it from your wireless provider's download site in this list:
    1. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry. Do not re-insert.
    2. Connect the BlackBerry to the computer.
    3. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and launch Loader.exe
    4. Click Next. The Communication Port Selection screen appears.
    5. Click Next. The connection should change from COM to USB-PIN or USB-PIN Unknown.
    6. The Application Selection screen appears. Select the applications you want from the list of applications.
    7. Click Next then Click Finish.
    8. When the application load starts, insert the battery into the BlackBerry smartphone.
    You will then need to restore your personal data from a previously taken backup file as this procedure will remove all personal data.

    You need to buy and install a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD; once it's installed, run the Software Update pane of System Preferences twice.
    There is no other way to sync it, but content can be downloaded directly from the iTunes Store servers; for non-purchased music, this requires signing up for iTunes Match, which costs more than the DVD.

  • Tried downloading itunes version 11.4 and received an error code 2324. Now itunes will not work at all and I cannot sync my phone, ipad or ipod. How should I proceed?

    I have tried several times to load version 11.4 and keep getting an error code2324, now I cannot sync any of my apple products. I set my machine to a previous recover date,  now iTunes will not work at all. I get a message stating I do not have the administrator rights to download. Any thoughts on this issue?

    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

    I updated my os to snow leopard v10.6 to be able to sync my new iphone 4 S. I also updated my ram to 1 GB to support the new software. I still cannot sync my iphone 4 S. I have tried everything to no avail. Any suggestions?

    Does it hang halfway through? If this is your problem, I have an answer for you (given by wiclee, he's amazing.)
    First of all close iTunes and it's helper process (May have to force quit using taskmgr)
    Click: Start> More Programs> Accessories> Command Prompt (right click and run as Administrator.)
    Type the following:
    netsh winsock reset
    A dialogue box should appear
    "Windows Network Catalogue successfully reset"
    "Please restart your computer for changes to take effect."
    Restart computer and then go to iTunes.
    Everything should work from there.

    This is Janathon and I don't know how to cancel the question:  before restoring to factory setting suggested I first restarted the computer and then reopened itunes and it worked, had it not I surely would have done as suggested..thank for such a quick response.

    I recently changed my email address and updated my Apple account profile to reflect the new address. This changed my Apple ID for signing into Apple store and making purchases as expected. I am however undable to get iCloud account to recognize the new Apple ID. I have gone in through settings on my iPhone and in iCloud Account Information attempted to change the Apple ID but the field is muted and will not permit editing. I have looked all through Support in iTunes Store and cannot find any information on how to get iCloud to accept my new Apple ID.
    Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

    I had to restore my old iphone recently because it had amnesia about itself and basically was deactivated. Now it works but will not sync my music or anything via iTunes. When I connect it, it prompts me to restore from backup, which it does, then it goes right back to that screen and asks which backup I want to restore from over and over. What should I do to make it able to sync again?

    So now I have the same problem, can you please explain what exactly I need to do to fix that, I'm not sure if I have any other restore files, can't check right now because it's restoring;) and it takes forever...

    I have this old model ipod with clickwheel and firewire connection. To connect with my macbook pro I have a apple firewire cable 6pin to 6pin and a 6pin to 9pin adapter to fit in the firewire 800 plug.
    So my ipod is charging but doesn't appear in itunes or in my finder, desktop etc.
    The display of the ipod shows "ready for disconnect" message.
    What is wrong? What can I try?

    You need to sign in to itunes, click the Store tab at the top and click "authorize this computer". now try transfering purchases.
