Cannot telnet between windows 8.1 Update computers in a workgroup using NTLM authentiation and a Microsoft account

Forum,
I have set up telnet on two computers on a non-domain network. I have a user account on both machines linked to the same Microsoft account. My user account isn't an administrator, but I have added my user as a member of the TelnetClients group on the server.
I can connect to the server, but it will not authenticate me. Only NTLM authentication is allowed. When I enable password authentication, it prompts me for my password, and I can successfully log in. I can also successfully log in when I use the
built-in Administrator account and give it the same strong password on both computers. Here is how I'm invoking telnet:
telnet {target} -l {remote username}
Has anyone gotten telnet working using a Microsoft Account, workgroup computers, and NTLM authentication only?

  • Cannot telnet between machines behind cisco 1811

    I have 2 separate exchange servers for 2 separate exchange organizations on
    the same private network.
    -One has an ip of 192.168.0.2
    -Two has an ip of 192.168.0.3
    The network is protected by a 1811 router/firewall and each server has their own
    public IP.
    I can telnet between these machines usign their private ips, but not using their public ips?

    Go to to your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in the Finder and then enter  Time Machine.  Go back to the last backup that has the domain file, select it and use the Restore button.

  • I have a desktop computer with xp Pro windows. I updated from Firefox 3.6 to 4.0 and found I could not connect to the internet using this updated bowser. I had to remove 4.0 and reinstall 3.6 to restore a working version of Mozilla. Why did this occur?

    I tried to update my browser from 3.6 to4.0. On restarting the computer I found I could no longer connect to the internet. I then connected to the internet using Internet Explorer and removed the mozilla browser and reinstall Mozilla firefox 4.0. Again the browser using this updated version didn't work.     Do whatever you need to to nuke the existing Apple programs and folders hidden here and there also.

    I am using bapi (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA ) and than bdc to create and update classification data of material.
    I am facing a problem.
    1) firstly I am creating material by the use of bapi and than after creation i want to update classification data for taht perticular material .
    2) To update classification data i am using bdc . while at the time of updating material through bdc system showing me error that material is currently locked by user (my login name ).

    When u update/create data it takes sometime to commit. So after using BAPI
    give 10 minutes wait in ur program before updating classification data.
    you can write like
    wait up to 20 seconds.
    and update the classification.

    Snow Leopard is no longer being updated, 10.6.8, was the last update. So, a "really long time," will be forever.
    Yes, ML has graphic driver updates, but since there is no way to guess whether it impacts your unmentioned hardware, there is no way your question can be answered.

  • Airport for Windows unable to update Apple ID, but still gives "Unknown Error" and keeps opening Airport. NEED AN UPDATE!

    I found out what's wrong only because I still have an old (2010) Macbook Pro and it's Airport software gets the same error, but it tells me what the problem is and let's me fix it. The problem was I changed my AppleID password and it's apparently stored in the Airport Extreme. The windows version just says Unknown Error and offers Software Update, but there is no update. The problem is Airport Utility keeps opening and repeating this error on all Windows machines. If I didn't have the old mac there would be no way out. Please update Airport for Windows.
    PS: I don't have a new Mac because:
    1. Price is more than $1,000 higher than comparable PC.
    2. No 17" laptop offered.
    3. Can get a really good graphics card.
    4. Limited availability of the really high performance Intel chips.
    5. Price is too high (oh, yes, I said that already).

    when opening my webmail page on talktalk it tells me I have undifined mail and will not open it! In internet explorer I can access it with no problems but as I prefer firefox I am now stuck!

  • How should I give itunes autonomy to my children now that they are in high school and have used my Mac and my itunes account to buy music for years, including all gift cards given to them. They now both have their own computers.

    When my children were younger, and needed more help and oversight, I had them purchase songs with my permission, often with gift cards that they had been given on various occaisions. Now, however, they both have laptops, they would like to split out "their" music and books, sync their Itouches to their own system, and I would love to have 9000 less Taylor Swift songs stored on my hard drive. Also, it seems that I can't set up independent Itunes accounts for them without a credit card, however they both get gift cards several times a year. A suggestion for this? It must happen to a lot of families. Thanks.

    Unfortunately you cannot split (nor merge) items purchased with an AppleID.  I am not clear on what you will have to do to allow them continued access to their music on your account.  Apple no longer has DRM protection in its music but then I also hear people have all kinds of authorization issues when trying to synch so it sounds like they still keep restrictions on what you can do with the music when trying to move it about.  I'll let somebody more experienced with syncing answer this part.  You may have to authorize their computers and devices to your AppleID to allow them all functionality with the music.
    Ideally you would have set them up with their own AppleIDs years ago but...

  • I cannot get adobe reader to download on an Acer Aspire 1 using Win 7 and Mcafee virus scan and firewall?

    as sta.ted above i cannot download the Reader software from the Adobe website.there is nothing saved in nthe Windows downloads folder nor is there any sign of the Downloads box. We hnave W7 on the pc so know what to expect. Have even tried saving it in ano9ther location. Stil no good. Currently have the new Firefox and Windows and Mcaffe dowloads are happening automatically.     Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps to download the Adobe Reader file.

    If that still fails then you will have to use another computer to download the file and use an USB stick too transfer the file.
