Cant connect to Itunes - advice urgently required please!
Hello anyone that can help !
I recently installed version 7.7 of Itunes and now I cannot connect to my I tunes store.
It is saying that I am not connected to the internet even though I am actually connected.
I have read on apple.com that it may be because I have installed this new version 7.7, i need simple advice on how to resolve this and it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Are you running any of Symantec's (Norton) or McAfee's Internet security products or anything similar, or an antivirus/antispyware application? There have been reports that some such utilities treat an upgrade to iTunes as a new application and can block the application from running. So you have to go in and reset the utility to allow iTunes. The same thing can happen if you upgrade the security product (this has particularly been a problem with recent McAfee upgrades).
Check the settings for your utility. If iTunes is still listed, remove and re-enable the exception for iTunes (consult your utility's documentation for the appropriate procedure). You may also need to check the built-in Windows firewall as well.

very frustrated iphone user !!Changing devices is no reason to create a new Apple ID.
All content purchased from iTunes is permanently linked to the Apple ID it was purchased with.
To update apps purchased with the old ID, you MUST sign in with that Apple ID. -
Help !!!!!!!!!! I upgrade my itunes to 10.5, But, my cpu start to reach 100%, and I cant connect to Itunes store! Morever , I did try something that ppl saying delete all program and reinstall again! It dont work to me! It drive me CRAZY!!!! HELP PLEASE HELP!!!!
It took about an hour to upgrade my iphone. You're also left a couple of times with a blank screen on the iphone whilst it does things in the background which is a bit confusing. Suggest you wait - it starts doing things again (like reload your apps and then your photos etc) after you think it's finished. It's finished only when it says it is.....

I found a fix to this somewhere else. I don't know why it works, but it does. If you go to your date/time settings, change it from automatic to manual, then change the year to 2013, when you open the passbook app it will work. After you've opened it successfully, you can go back and change your date back to automatic and the app will work correctly from then on.

Only with iOS5 or later you can update/upgrade directly from the iPod/iPhone.
When your version of iOS is lower than 5, you must connect to iTunes and then update.
It is best when you update iTunes to the latest version first.

You will need to put the phone in DFU mode and restore as new.

my iphone 4 has not been able to connect to itunes or the app store since latest upgrade 4.2.1... a msg pops up sometimes and says cant connect to itunes... other times it shows a window that says cant find itunes on your computer (which is odd cause its a phone!) and has a button to download itunes--what?....... HELP!
to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one. -

I've had the same problem for the last two weeks. Finally resolved the issue in Windows 7.
Go to start button, control panel, system & security, windows firewall. On the left side of the box click on "advanced settings." On the left side of the box again click on "Inbound Rules." You should be able to see iTunes under the name category. Make sure it has a green check mark next to it. If it does not, then double click on the name. In the "general" box which comes up open, click "Allow the Connection." That worked for me. Somehow itunes was blocked but now I can access the itunes store again. -
Someone got my iphone disabled, and when i went to password after it got unlocked i accidently got it wrong, i cant connect to itunes as my charger is broken so im using one without the usb, how long will i have to wait for me to be able to access it or how? thankyou
If it just says that it's disabled, then it will never re-enable on its own. You'll need to restore it:
