Cant perform audio call to internalpbx while Unified VT Advantage running

Help me pls,
i just installed Unified Video Advantage and everything fine except i cant perform audio calls to internal pbx numbers while Unified Video Advatage running, for example to number 3119, at the same time I can perform calls to ip phones. If I close the Video Adavantage Utility everything getting fine. Symptoms: After I pressed last the number's digit the call is ending without any audio signals or busy sugnal. Phone display also immidiately returns to idle state.
Thanks, in advance

To resolve this issue, configure the system clocking correctly.
The clocking configuration differs depending on the platform, as shown in these examples:
* For the Cisco 7200VXR series router, issue the frame-clock-select command.
* For the Cisco 2600 or 3700 series routers with an Advanced Integration Module (AIM), perform these steps:
1. Issue the clock source line command under the appropriate controller.
For the Voice and WAN Interface Card (VWIC) controller configuration, the default for the clock source command is clock source line. However, the recovered clock is not used to drive the AIM. Therefore, this configuration is not sufficient to resolve the clock slip problem.
2. To allow the router to recover the clock from the E1 and T1 VWIC and pass it across the backplane to the AIM, issue the network-clock-participate command in global configuration mode.
If multiple VWICS are installed, the command must be appropriately repeated.
3. To allow the AIMs in a Cisco 3700 or 2691 series router to participate in system clocking, issue the network-clock-participate command for each AIM.
4. Specify the network clock source and priority. Issue the network-clock-select command in global configuration mode.

  • Is there a way to switch off by default the video on FaceTime? I only ever use this app for audio/calls and hate the video being on. I especially hate that if I leave the app open to receive calls it means the camera and green light are on.

My issue is that I can't find a way to have the camera switched off when the app is open and so this means if I want the app open all day to receive calls then the camera is going to be on the whole time. Even if it didn't potentially drain the battery, or add to the CPU usage or whatever else may cause any problems whatsoever (wheel of death!), I just don't want the camera on as I don't see myself ever wanting to use the video call feature but I would use the audio/call multiple times throughout the day to make and receive calls. The camera being on when the app is open is enough to prevent me from using the app. Also ever since seeing that episode of criminal minds where if you saw the green light on above the screen then it meant the killer was watching you!
Basically I just can't believe there isn't a way to disable the camera whilst having the app running. I know when initiating an audio call the camera goes away, but I would like the camera away the whole time. To me it just would make sense that if you click the video option then the camera is on, and if you click the audio option then the camera goes off. It just seems waaaaay to basic a thought for apple to have missed... Let's face it, we're not all as pretty as the people in the apple adverts and don't want to see our ugly mugs staring back as us when we work all day at our macs!

I have exactly the same concern. It seems it would be a simple fix for Apple to allow users to turn off the camera (and even the mic) while keeping FaceTime open -- especially now that it turns out FaceTime must remain open in order to send and receive iPhone calls on a Mac.
I like to think this new functionality of FaceTime will be baked into a future release of Yosemite, as the current setup has that not-quite-finished feel of a work in progress. In the meantime, there's nothing like a little piece of Post-It stuck over the camera to keep the NSA from watching your face as you type a post to the Apple Support Communities.

    Issue
While performing initial load, system is throwing the error as
001- No generation performed. Call transaction GN_START
002-Due to system errors the Load is prohibited (check transaction MW_CHECK)!
After calling the transaction GN_START system asks for job scheduling, whereas I have already scheduled it.
A job is already scheduled periodically.
Clicking on 'Continue' will create another job
    that starts immediately.
    After checking(MW_CHECK),message is displayed as
No generation performed. Call transaction GN_START.
If anybody has encountered the similar issue and has resolved it,their guidence will be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks in Advance

    Veera,
We also faced the same problem when we have done the upgrade from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2007.
For that you go to SMWP where you can see all the errors related to Middleware with the error message so try to remove the error,
Also pls check in RZ20 and activate the middleware trace tree.

  • C90 only making audio calls

    Hello ,
I just purchased and setup two C90s . Calling to other endpoints or inside my network between these two I only get an audio call. I have gone over everything 100 times and I just cant seem to find the issue. I have used the C series codecs for years and have not seen anything like this before. It will not push a presentation either.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the response !!
I have put these two all by themselves on a small network and am trying back and forth between the two with no other influence . Yes , they are acting just like a unit without multisite that is already in an active call.
They are both set to 4 meg and they are the only devices on that network. There is one caveat and I havnt mentioned it because I have done it a thousand times and it never mattered . I am not using the Cisco camera with camera control and I do have the error for no camera attached.
I have seen this tons of times in the past and it didnt matter at all. I usually hook a high end camera into the HD/SDI input for what I use these for.
These are older "Tanberg" branded codecs tho and I am wondering if it puts the units into a state where they cant make a video call ? I looked for some API command to disable such a thing if it existed and found nothing. Im dying here.

  • How to stop hanging up or calling other numbers while in a call.

My wife has the Droid 2 and she has been having continuous problems with the phone hanging up on her calls or dialing her voice mail while in a call.  I have had several calls hang up on me as well.  I have checked how she holds the phone to make sure the proximity sensor is working and everything appears fine.  She has even tried pressing the power/lock button as soon as she enters a call with no improvement.  Has anyone else seen this problem and what can be done to fix it?

When speaking on the droid devices once the phone is placed to your ear the screen should go black and once you pull the phone away from your face it should light back up giving options to either make a call or hang up or other options.  If  you are still able to call while the phone is in use and the device is up to your face, try to do a battery pull by removing the battery while phone is powered on and let the battery stay out for about 10 to 15 seconds then replace the battery and see if there is still an issue with the device calling other people while the phone is in use. The next option if you are still having the issue to do a factory reset but make sure the SD card is removed before performing the factory reset here is the link for instructions on the factory reset http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=31308&p=null

  • DX80 making Audio Calls Only

I have just recently acquired a DX80 to test in our environment. I was able to get it registered to CUCM 10.5 and place calls with it. The problem is though that it will only make Audio calls. I cant seem to get it to make any video calls.
All the other devices (SX20s) registered on CUCM can make video and audio calls without any issues.
I have installed the device pack.
    cmterm-devicepack10.5.2.12014-1.cop.sgn

    cmterm-dx80.10-2-3-33.cop.sgn
    Running with:
    CUCM 10.5
    VCS 8.5.1
    Any suggestions?

  • Poor performing audio enhancements W510

I was hoping that a recent audio driver update would eventually resolve this issue, but it's been 9 months now and I still have not gotten any resolution to this driver issue.
The Problem: I have poorly performing audio while the sound card audio enhancements are enabled but not forcibly enabled, that is, absolutely no checkboxes are checked under the "Enhancements" tab of the sound card properties.  DirectX-based audio sources becomes soft or alternates softness between left and right speakers (or headphones) for audio sources that do not have directional properties.  This is most noticeable when background music is playing in a video game.  Eventually, the audio becomes inaudible or does not work at all.
The Workaround: While the game is still running, I can switch into the audio properties, disable audio enhancements using the "Disable all enhancements" checkbox.  After switching back to the game and re-configuring the audio device, the issue goes away for good until for whatever reason Windows forgets and removes the checkbox at a later boot and the problem returns.  This is the same for other DirectX software like FL Studio (a DAW), so it's not limited to one program, but it does present itself in video games more often because they're more likely to use the audio enhancements.
My laptop speakers work fine and my headphones work fine and there is not wiring issue.  This seems to be entirely the fault of the sound enhancement features of the sound card.  I have not had problems like those exhibited by other users who complain about the left speaker going dead.

This was a great help! Thanks for the tip! It worked perfectly for me.

  • Unable to select 'Use Phone for audio calls' on Cisco Jabber Client 9.6 for Windows

    Hi,
I have recently deployed Cisco Presence Server and integrated with Call Manager 9.1.2. I have successfully deplyed 6700 users on IM & Presence. Some of the users requested for Cisco Jabber with phone control.
I have added CFS client on the Call Manager and associated it with the same extension numbers from their desk phones. I am currently able to make audio and video calls for these specific users. I am currently using Cisco Jabber Client 9.6 for windows. I have users both daisy chained to their desk phones and who are not. Can you please confirm if it does make any difference.
    Problem Faced -
I am not able to use to option use phone for audio calls. The phone comes down with a cross sign on it. At the same time Cisco Jabber by default uses the client and it works as expected.
Can you please let me know if any of you guys have faced a similar issue.
Please let me know if you need any information regading the configuration used.
Looking forward for your valuable comments.
    Thank you.
    Regards,

    Hi Will,
I am attaching the screen shot for the END USER on CUCM 9.X that has been configured on Cisco Jabber.
Please do let me know if you need any further information.

My Time Capsule has stopped backing up.
I have an Apple Time Capsule which backs up by wireless. For the last 3 days it has not backed up. I get this message:
"The backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk."
I have gone into Mac Help and followed this down to stage 4:
under shared it lists my time capsule and my husband's iMac - both use the time machine but we have switched his off temporarily.  Clicking on my Time capsule I get "Connected" and "Sharepoint" - I didn't have to enter connect or password
I don't understand stage 5: how and where do I select the disk or volume that contains Time Machine backups ?  How do I know which it is? My disk utility lists 160.04 TOSHIBA MK... with sub-heading Macintosh HD.  It also lists (with a "CD" icon) HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS22N
Under stage 6, how and where do I Locate your backup ? I try dragging my Time capsule from Finder to the Disk Utility side panel but it won't go.  What is my computer's name?
Please someone help!  I'm completely stumped.
    Thanks,
    Maggie
    Mac Help says:
If you back up to a Time Capsule or network disk:
Open the Time Machine pane of System Preferences, and slide the switch to Off.
    Open Time Machine preferences
Open Disk Utility, which is in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
    Open Disk Utility
Make sure the Time Capsule or network disk is turned on and available.
Open a Finder window, select your Time Capsule or network disk in the Shared section of the sidebar, and click Connect. If necessary, enter your user name and password.
On the Time Capsule or network disk, select the disk or volume that contains Time Machine backups. Depending on how your Time Capsule is set up, there may be one or more disks or volumes.
Locate your backup, and drag it to the Disk Utility sidebar. You can identify your backup by looking for your computer’s name in the backup’s filename.

  • Bad performance when calling a function in where clause

    Hi All,
I have a performance problem when executing a query that contains a function call in my where clause.
I have a query with some joins and a where clause with some regular filters. But one of these filters is a function, and its input parameters are columns of the tables used in the query.
When I run it with only a few rows in the tables, it goes ok. But as the number of rows grows, performance falls geometrically, even when my where clause filters the result to only a few rows.
If I take the function call off of the where clause, then run the query and then call the function for each returned row, performance is ok. Even when the number of returned rows is big.
But I need the function call to be in the where clause, because I can't build a procedure to execute it.
Does anyone have any clue on how to improve performance?
    Thanks,
    Rafael

You have given very little information...
    >
If I take the function call off of the where clause, then run the query and then call the function for each returned row, performance is ok. Even when the number of returned rows is big. Can you describe how you measured the performance for a big result set without the function? For example lets say there had been 10.000 rows returned (which is not really big, but it is astarting point). Did you see all 10.000 rows? A typical mistake is to execute the query in some tool like Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD and measure how fast the first couple of rows are returned. Not the performance of the full select.
As you can see from this little detail there are many questions that you need to address first before we can drill down to the root of your problem. Best way is to go through the thread that Centinul linked and provide all that information first. During the cause of that you might discover that you learn things on the way that help a lot for later tuning problems/approaches.

This could very well have to do with ACLs.
I bumped into the same problem:
    5/8/11 10:43:22 PM          com.apple.backupd[7126]          Error: (-41) SrcErr:NO Copying /Users/SA/Public/Drop Box/HandBrake.app/Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/ Resources/de.lproj/SUAutomaticUpdateAlert.nib/classes.nib to /Volumes/Local Backup/Backups.backupdb/Server/2011-05-08-221524.inProgress/88ACE716-0660-44C8- A128-CF01046FC2F8/Macintosh HD/Users/SA/Public/Drop Box/HandBrake.app/Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/ Resources/de.lproj/SUAutomaticUpdateAlert.nib
Using DD or CCC is no option for me, I don't want downtime and I want incremental backups. So I started to investigate.
I repartitioned my external Time Machine drive, did the backup again. It didn't work. Then I blocked the culprit file mentioned in the logs from being backed up with TM. That helped, only to find that a bit later it found another file with issues.
So i looked at the files an found they had ACLs on them that somehow prevented them from being copied.
    SOLUTION:
remove the ACL from the file.
If you want to remove all ACLs in a directory, use Terminal and navigate to that directory. Then issue this command:
    sudo echo | sudo chmod -R -E ./*
If you would like to remove ACLs from a single file or package (e.g. an application), issue this:
    sudo echo | sudo chmod -R -E <nameoffile>
You might have to this several times since there might be multiple files affected. Unlike previous solutions, this one does not require you to delete the file.
I got the command to remove ACLs from http://osxadmin.blogspot.com/2008/01/chmod-acl-removal.html

What was this program for, or did you just assume it's something you shouldn't have and therefore arbitrarily decide to "throw it away"? Exactly how did you supposedly throw it away?
If you didn't change your administrator password, there's no reason it shouldn't work now, so that suggests you did something else, or changed it and then forgot what it was.
You can't recover that password; you can only change it. To do that, you would need to boot from your Snow Leopard DVD, choose your language, then choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu in the top menu bar.
