Capture of Clock-in during ESS login

Hi,
We have following requirement:
When employee logs into ESS, a Pop-up should appear with a message, and Submit & Cancel buttons.
On clicking Submit, the time should get stored in P2011 table as Clock In and link should be directed to UWL.
On clicking Cancel button, UWL should open.
We have writeen an ABAP code and called this thru iview, but we are not able to suppress, forward the link to UWL.
Please let us know whether there are any better solutions,

let me clarify...
I want to show the popup to record his clock in at the time of logging to ESS.
Employee may ignore by clicking on cancel button OR hit submit button. The system should take him to UWL for either of the cases.
We have developed an application in ABAP, and created iview for that and placed it in Clock-In (New) page, which is the first page appearing when employee logs into ESS.
Here the issue is, when user click on Submit button, I am not able to redirect the system to UWL. Abaper had used Exit command in the program, due to which we are getting "You have been successfully logged off" message, which we would like to suppress.
Is there any better solution ?
Conceptually it should be possible:
- Develop WD application
- Call it from Login page (How to )
- On submit update infotype using BAPI
- Call UWL thru Quick link (How to)

Step 1: Open SQL Server Configuration Manager

Error during capturing of Excise Invoice during Migo

Dear All,
When I trying to capture the Excise Invoice during Migo , the movement I enter the vendor's Excise Invoice ,system gives me the error , *****excise no dated **** does not exist for this *** vendor for reference.
Please help , where I am lacking.

Hello Nitin,
In your MIGO - Header Excise details tab, make sure that you have selected capture excise invoice. Now it is 'Refer excise invoice' and hence this message comes.
'Refer excise invoice 'is used when you have already captured an excise invoice and doing a goods inward referring the same invoice captured before. (Multiple GR against single EI)
Also to capture the excise invoice in MIGO, make sure that the 'capture EI at MIGO' is ticked for the excise group in SPRO - LO Gen - Tax on goods movement - India - basic Settings - define Excise groups.

Clock in & Clock out in ESS

Hello All,
We are dong Clock in & Clock out in ESS. I have done with configuration.
But when i check in ESS for clock in & Clock out i'm getting error "There is no general processing process for rule group in period 11., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE".
Please let me know why system is giving this error.

Automatic Clock off during Midnight - DBM Time Recording

Dear Experts,
The technicians who are clocked in are automatically getting clocked off during midnight 12:00. The status ID for personnel number then turns to Absent.
We have not configured any Automatic End time in the General Settings of DBM Time Management. Also the Automatic End Time field is kept blank in the Terminal grouping configuration.

Capturing service tax categories during FB60/MIRO

This is with reference to the service tax categories, which is required during monthly return in India.
To the best of my knowledge, SAP does not have any standard solution to capture these servie tax categories during transaction entry till date.
There are almost 102 categories defined by Govt of India for different kind of services. These categories are need to cature during transaction and will used later in filling return.
I am trying to find a filed which is available in FB60/MIRO and FBL3N so that what transaction recorded in service tax payble GL, will have trace of services.
Please suggest which filed i should use in FB60 or MIRO, which will have F4 help and also appear in FBL3N.

Hi DD,
We have solved a similar problem using text keys. Under SPRO GL Accounting -> Business transactions -> GL Account postings -> Carry out and check document settings -> Define texts for line items, define keys for service tax categories like ST1, ST2 with descriptions. These can be selected from F4 help and entered by the user during invoice entry. You can see them in FBL3N, filter and sub-total it.

How to capture keys held down during app load

how would i capture which keys are being held down during the start of a java application? IE: enduser clicks on my java app while pressing SHIFT+C+F so i can load a config window to set a couple of needed options specific to that environment?

I don't believe there is any functionality in Java to achieve that.
If it is a command line app., I recommend handing arguments to main() to pop the config. dialog.
If it is a GUI'd app., add a button to the main UI, that does the same.

System.getProperty("user.name")Please note that this property is subject of security constraints (and there're good reasons for this, read the Java Tutorial, Trail: Essential Java Classes, Lesson: Accessing System Resources for details). For example, web applications running inside Tomcat are not allowed to query this property by default. Think twice before doing this, you have been warned!

Problem during portal30 login ora-6508 and wwc-44082

During login to portal30.I am encountering an error ORA-6508 pl/sql could not find program unit called WWC-44082.
Package wwpro_portlet_metadata is invalid.I tried to compile it manually but fails with an error IS_REGISTERED_OFFLINE must be declared.
I also tried adding a column to wwpro_provider$ but still the problem persists.
do any one has faced this problem earlier please let me know the solution.

New portal window during ESS/MSS navigation

Hi all,
I installed EP SP9 and imported ESS/MSS BP, I'm up to navigate and see Back-end user data. During navigation sometimes when I click on a link a new window browser is turned up and I have to carry on with it. I mean the previous windows status is inactive, likely session closed.
Have you an idea of the problem?

This is probably becuase workprotect mode is turned on. Workprotect mode is basically designed so that if you are doing something in a window and in effect have unsaved data, if you click somewhere else it will open it in a new window so that you do not lose the unsaved data. You can turn it off system wide (but I can't remeber where) or, if you want to test it, look in the personalize link as you probably have workprotect mode in there which you can then turn off just for you.

Excise Invoice is captured with another Po -During MIGO- Only refer Excise

I have did a PO with two line item say Material M1 and M2..
step1- We did J1IEX with capture excise invoice option for material M1 and M2.
step 2- We did GR for material M1 only where i have selected my excise tab as Only refer Excise
step 3- Now we are trying to do GR for 2nd line item material M2, where we getting error msge as
*Excise Invoice is captured with another Purchase Order
Message no. 4F278*
I have searched in forum and found related info in the belw links
CIN related error at the time of GRN
GR for Import PO,
where experts are suggesting to apply a note 843490 &994052. seems these notes for older version.. my client version is ECC 6.03
Please let me know if any note available or any other methods to solve my issue (we don't want to put the excise invoice with suffix of * or /1).

Hi,
System takes only single excise invoice in system.
here i suggest wat u can do ( very tricky)
for first goods receipt excise invoice is 123
then u cant give same for other GR it will give an error at this time u can provide excise invoice as (123.).
Means one dot at beginnig or at the end.
Note : Hence forth for same excise invoice u should have only one GR.
