Capture rule to exclude some certain user ids.

Hi,
We have tables that have a column that tells you which user id made the change for that record. We are requested to not to capture changes made by some certain user ids. Do you know if we can set some rule to do this?
Thanks.

Hi,
Modify the streams rules to exclude changes made by certain user ids.
You can use DBMS_STREAMS_ADM package to create a new rule and drop the existing rule.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_streams_adm.htm
Or alter the existing rule using DBMS_RULE_ADM.ALTER_RULE Procedure

  • Allow certain users to capture quotation after bid end date

    Hi
Is it possible to allow certain users to be able to capture quotation on behalf of suppliers using surrogate bid after the end date has been reached but before the opening date? How would I do this?
    Regards

    Hi
As the end date and opening date are at the header level common to all bidders/vendors, we cannot manually capture quotation for specific suppliers using surrogate bidding. I dont think there is even a BADI for this.

  • Rules - Reference an entity member list and then exclude some entities

I have rules written to extract data in a specific file format.
I am using a dynamic member list and then want to exclude some of the entities from doing the extract.
The member list is base of a parent - it has about 500 entities. I only want to exclude 5 entities. I don't want to have to create a member list of 500 entities just becasue 5 of them are not needed.
    I can't use
    POV_ENTITY <>
    OR If Not POV_ENTITY =
becuause it is not the POV_ENTITY it is the entity in the member list.
    How can I write that?
    Before:
    For Each Entity in HS.Entity.List("",ListName)
After: (gives me a Syntax error):
For Each Entity in HS.Entity.List("",ListName) AND If Entity Not "TAX_ROLLUP.TAX_DOM" Then
    Thanks!

Sorry, yes I did it now using the greather than and less than signs.
I am able to load the rules file but it still writes the Tax_Dom info to the file.
I think I am going to give up and just create a big member list of all the entities less those six.
    Thanks for responding.

  • Access to some UDFs authorised for certain user

    Dear All,
This issue made me confusing, it is about UDF access authorisation. Is it possible to authorise a certain user to open or view UDF ?For example : I have 5 UDFs that only can be used by sales dept user and 5 UDF's are for purchasing dept. How to authorized the UDFs according to its dept ? Thanks in advance.
    Rgds,

    Hi All,
I managed to resolve this problem by using additional authorisation creator that using form ID 38 and then in the general authorisation --> user authorisation is set to no. if it is authorised per user name, the user will not able to open UDF settings (CtrlShiftB) except there is the same level with him/her that can open the document, I think the settings can be opened. I almost escalated this problem to SAP support.
Tks for your all participations. More power to you...
    Rgds,

  • Forward mail to MS Exchange for certain users

    Hello.
We have a "master" Oracle Messaging Exchange Server and we have recently installed a Microsoft Messaging Server. We need certain users to use MS Exchange. The idea is changing mailHost LDAP attribute for those users (let's take [email protected] as an example), setting the MS Exchange HUB server, let's say hub.domain.com (mailHost: hub.domain.com). Doing so, mails sent to [email protected] are sent to hub.domain.com using lmtp channel. Everything works fine except for an issue: MS Exchange sees the from address like "user@lmtpcs-daemon", so we have to configure MS Exchange to use "lmtpcs-daemon" as secondary domain of domain.com, otherwise it doesn't know what to do with those mails.
Is there a way to not do that rewrite for certain users? Or maybe can we create a new channel to forward mails to Exchange? Could we define a channel depending on mailHost value or something like that?
    Any thoughts?
    Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your inputs.
It's being quite difficult for me to understand this whole mail routing thing. According to the documentation:
"The handling of a missing mailhost attribute is different depending on whether the entry is a user or a group. In the case of a user, a mailhost is essential, so if no mailhost attribute is present a new address of the form
    @smarthost:user@domain
is constructed using the smart host for the domain determined by the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST MTA option"
Sounds good, it seems that I just need to delete mailHost attribute for the users who need to use Exchange and set LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST in option.dat. I've tried that but I get a "4.0.0 temporary error returned by alias expansion" when I send a mail to the test user.
I've deleted the LDAP_DOMAIN_ATTR_SMARTHOST line and I've set mailRoutingSmartHost LDAP attribute for the user but I get the same result.
I'm not even sure about the mailRoutingSmartHost format. This is what I have:
    mailRoutingSmartHost: correoweb.saludcastillayleon.es
root@MTA1 # imsimta test -rewrite -debug [email protected]

  • How to restrict attachment of inactive user IDs for forwarding document.

    Dear All,
We have some temporary IDs in the system which is now inactive in the system. Now in some applications where users select user IDs at their own for forwarding certain document to someone. Erroneously the sometime select the in active IDs. Which result in non delivery of the document.
Is it possible to rectrict selection of inactive user IDs?
    Regards,
    Abdullah

    Hi
Try to look at infotype 0105 subtype 0001 for getting active users.
Ideally all these ID should be active
if not then they should be another check for Employment Status '3' from Infotype 0000
    Thanks

  • CUA- Deleting user IDs from Child systems

Is there a possibility of configuring CUA in such a way that user IDs can be created and access can be updated from CUA but deleting user IDs should be taking place only in the child system (Not in all the child systems)?

Generally good advice to keep the uniqueness of UIDs over time, also after Elvis has left the building
What you could consider is a CUA RFC user which is not authorized to delete UID's and schedule a purge job for those IDOCs which deleted only them.
However these sorts of "workaround" solutions are not the best advise, to be honest. What happens it someone temporarily assigns SAP_ALL because there is a big problem and authorizations should be excluded as the cause to get it working again?
Also, every time a new child system is added to the CUA you will be flooded.
My advice: Rather change your procedure (as discribed by Jurgen).
What would be interesting to test is whether you are authorized to move a user (change the authorization relevevant group which they currently have) to a group which the CUA user is no long able to subsequently administrate? But theen you will still be hunting down IDOCs from time to time, most likely.
If your shop is big enough to have these systems you have described, then you might want to consider an IdM system to replace your CUA at some time.
If you wish, I will move this thread to the IdM forum.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • CN41 Report with excluding some cost

    Hi,
Basically CN41 report shows object wise cost/revenue/commitment/budget for one or more number of projects. Is it possible to show the SAP Standard Report CN41 with excluding some cost against any object (WBSE/Activity/Activity Element). Thats is it might be excluding the cost incurred on some specific cost elements. I can achieve it with cost element report but can it be done with CN41/CN41N report ?
    Or
Any Standard cost elements report with Cost/ Revenue/ Commitment details where i can exclude perticular cost elements ??
Is there any parameters we can set in DP profile/Selection profile. But this requirement should be available only for a specific user Ids not for all users.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hari Krishna.K

    maybe T-Code s_alr_87013543 or cji3 helps.
    try doing.

  • Potential fix for WGM generating negative User IDs

I saw a posting back from August 2007 from "Summer is Gone", where he/she asked about Workgroup Manager generating negative User IDs (UIDs). No one responded back then and the thread is now closed, so I thought I'd contribute my experience with it today.
I had this problem on a 10.4.11 server that serves only as an OD Master. I had archived the OD database, set to Standalone, rebooted, and then restored the archive as a potential fix for some little glitches that we'd been having after 4 years of running the server.
After the archive was restored, WGM was creating negative UIDs during "Add User". I'm not certain that was the trigger, but it's the likely one.
The fix was to simply trash ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.workgroupmanager.plist and relaunch WGM. After that, WGM once again started generating positive UIDs.

In case no one got back to you, when you use WGM to import set the "First User ID" to a positive number. WGM>Server>Import>First User Import ID
Then all users will get a positive ID.

  • Building LOV of User ids out of OID

I do not know how to build a LOV from the available list of user ids in Internet Directory. My intention is to use the Internet Directory as my "system of record" for Personnel and reference the User ID in records in the database. Is there a way to build a materialized view for this? or is there some other mechanism you can point me to?
I am building a slew of data capture forms of which I would like to enter the userid of the logged in user. I know how to use wwctx_api.get_user_id however my user may want to override their name with someone else.
Ergo, my need for an LOV.

    Hi,
If you want only the users then you can build an LOV on wwsec_person$. This table has the username information though not all the information in OID.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

  • View incoming mail from certain user, Terminal

Is there a way to view logs of both received and rejected emails coming into our mail server from a certain address to a certain user.
We are still having a problem with one person sending us emails, and I know that at one point the other tech (Who is unavailable due to health reasons right now) had shown me a list of emails, dates and times from a certain email address.
I have not been able to find anything in our server logs that look like they would cause any trouble. So I want to know where else I can look for something like this.
Any and all help is appreciated.
FYI, she send me the Delivery failure notices, but I know that other emails came in around the same time so our server was up and running.
    Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
The following message to <[email protected]> was undeliverable.
    The reason for the problem:
5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout'

We have had some strange problems today. A few emails from Feb 12 just decided to show up in peoples mail boxes (Mine included, from the same lady that was having problems the other day).
One of our employees sent some PDF attachments to Toronto, they showed up as gibberish. When she forwards them to me, they are fine.
Rebooted the Mail server just in case. Too many 'weird' things today. Now off to deal with the issue of 2 of our raids each having one failed drive, and one degraded drive. Is it Monday or something????

  • How to hide some folders in a woprkspace from some external users?

    Hi
We manage a workspace that has both Internal external users. We have a requirements in a way that external users can only see some folders they have access to. What is the best way to accomplish.
I reviewed an article in "How to" section which describes how to use ACLS to hide some folders from certain users (https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/External_06_howto.html).
But this process is cumbersome as we need to go to exh folder and revoke permission for selected users. And also if we add any new folders to the workspace that folder will default be accessible to the external users also. We want by default any new folders do not have access to this group of users except the ones we provide access to.
    How can we do it?
    Regards
    Ram Uppu

    Ram,
We have a new process which is much more easily used - the https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/External_06_howto.html page has been upfdated to show the new process.

  • How to make sub folders in a share invisible to certain users?

Back in the 10.3 days simply setting the posix permissions so that certain users and groups had no access to a sub folder in a shared folder would make the folder invisible to those users and groups.
Flash forward to Snow Leopard, I'm trying to accomplish the same thing with ACLs, and I can't seem to do it, the folders are still visible with access denied badges. I read the ACL white paper that was on AFP548, and that suggested creating a deny full control ACE for groups that shouldn't have access, but that no longer seems to work the folders are still visible.
I've been fiddling with different ACL configurations, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I am running Mac OS X Server 10.6.4, and the clients are 10.6.4 as well.
Any help in figuring this out would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Apologies I do mean Others. What I normally do is set the POSIX Owner and Group to admin and Others to No Access. Both Permission models apply so you have to take that into account. Any created user is automatically made part of the built-in POSIX staff group (ID=20). That user is also part of Others. If you're trying to deny access for that user using ACLs only yet neglecting to change the POSIX Permission accordingly that user will still have access of some sort.
By setting the Others POSIX Permission to No Access at the Parent Folder level that user won't 'see' the Share. If you're trying to do this with a Nested Folder then that user will 'see' the folder but have no access. What they'll see is the red no entry sign folder icon.
Don't forget to propagate afterwards as well as removing or applying appropriate ACEs if your sharing structure involves nested folders. Server Admin's Interface (IMO) is actually OK with this although you could use the command line if you wish.
This is how it works for me and I rarely see any problems.

  • Tabular Form - Read only condition for certain users

Is it possible to make a select list field in a tabular form read-only to certain users? Here's the situation:
The tabular form lists the users who need to select "Approve" or "Reject" in that field (they are approving or rejecting an engineering change)
I want all of them to see the approval/rejection of their team, but only have access to edit the select list associated with their record.
    Thanks in advance.
    Apex 4.0.0.00.46

You could use either "authorisations" tab or "conditional display" for the relevant column attribute.
Report Attributes->Column Attributes->authorisationsIt would be better to have some more detail about what you are trying to get (maybe a quick mock up of the form, for example) but, I can envision something along the lines of the following:
    For each approval/rejection field:
    1. Create an authorisation appropriate for access to to each approval/rejection field e.g. authorisation scheme "FOO"
    2. In the relevant fields column attributes, set the authorisation to "FOO"
    3. now create a read only "public" copy of the above field, using the "display as text (based on LOV does not save state)" - set the authorisation for this field as "{NOT FOO}"
(if you don't want to use authorisations, you could build an equivalent using "conditional display" instead, which is basically the same thing, except column specific)
The downside is of course that you're duplicating fields in your query, which creates a bit of redundancy. There may be better ways to achieve this (maybe you could make use of the APEX_ITEM api, for example) but this is fairly easy to set up IMO.
