Capturing constant value data entered at query filter

Hi,
I have two tables one is Customertab and other
is Customerver.
Customertab has two columns customerid and customer address
customerver has two columns customerid and customer version
For example in customer version table Customerid 100 has 2 versions 1 and 2
customerid 200 has 3 versions 1,2 and 3
customerid 300 has 4 versions 1,2,3 and 4
when ever iam developing the report in query panel filter the first
condition i select is customer id=100 and in the second filter condition i
am giving condition as verid= and select the version from LOVS. but if i
select the lovs iam seeing all versions.
My requirement is like as i have selected 100 in the first
filtercondition i have to see only 2 versions 1 and 2 in LOVS when
selecting the
2nd condition.
i dont want to use prompts. So can you please let me know is there any
possibility to capture the 100 some where and use the condition to restrict
the LOV's in the next filter condition

Hi,
I dont want to create the prompts.But in Cascading prompts i need to create the prompts right.
My requirement is like as part of the report i have condition with customer_id=100 where 100 is the constant value and its not a prompt. So now in the next filter condition i have the prompt for selecting the versions. at the time of selecting the LOV for version then i need to consider the versions only for customerid 100 and display the available versions for the particular customerid 100.

  • Bex Query - How to capture characteristic value and set it as filter value?

    Dear Experts,
    I would like to create a tricky report that listed sales quantity by companis. Companies consists of production plant as well as trading company.
    Company / Sales Quantity / Sales Quantity 2 (which produced by Company itself)
    A            / 100                  / 50                     (50 was produced by company A)
    B            /  80                   / 0                      (this is a trading company)
    C            / 150                  / 150                   (All are produced by company C)
    First I thought of using variable to capture Company value and then under Sales Quantity 2 I set producing company = this variable. But this only works if I filter company values. Any workaround idea that I can get the above with all the listing of companies?
    Any assistance would be great! Thanks!

    Hi,
    Have you tried elimination of Internal business Volume?
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bw32/helpdata/en/d5/784d3c596f0b26e10000000a11402f/content.htm
    Impliment this solution  by adding another KF Sales qty2.  with ref. to Sales qty.
    In characteristic pair you can have Company and  Production Company(navigational attribute).
    By implimenting this solution  the system will eliminate if the quantity is produced by the company it self.  You can create CKF in query to get the result you need.

  • Remome "Manual value entry" possibility in query filter

    Hi everybody, i'm currently using Bex ver 7.0 and i have a problem. I need to find a way to dissable the possibility to enter any value manually in a query's filter. For example, when i run a query and i see the filter, let's say "Coste Center" the filter variable gives me the range of values, but also it gives me the values that had been entered before "History" and below it gives me the possibility to enter the values manually. I need to dissable this option, it has to be just the filter with authorixed values to choose from, no "History data" nor this little window for manual antry.
    Do you happen to know if this possibility exist?
    Thank you very much.
    P.D. the points will be awarded for all your ideas!!

    Hi,
    In the variable properties window, uncheck the "Ready for Input".
    It will solve the problem.

  • Value Date query

    Hi Everyone,
    As we all know that the value date field is an editable field in FB02. I have noticed that
    if click the pencil icon in FB03 and make changes to text or any other field and save the
    document, the value date entered before, disappears from the document. If I edit the document
    from FB02 then the value date does not disappear. Kindly give your suggestions on this.
    Also sometimes when I enter value date in F-28 and post the incoming payment, the value
    date does not get displayed in FB03 and in Table BSEG Field VALUT. Please give your
    valuable inputs on this also.
    Regards,
    Manzoor

    Thanks Yogesh & Anss for your efforts, but the problem persists.
    First of all, the value date field has to be an editable field, so I cant change the Rules for Changing Documents.
    The problem is described by Two scenarios:
    1. For a BR document posted with value date, say, "25.03.2011" if I edit the 'text' field in FB03 without changing the value date and save the document, the value date gets erased.
    2. For a similar BR document posted with value date "25.03.2011" when edited in FB02 without changing the value date and the document is saved, the value date does not get erased.
    Awaiting your kind suggestions.

  • Changing Date Format in query panel default calender

    Hi All,
    when I drag the date into the Query Filter Panel in Webi and use the between operator (or any operator) the format of the date shows up as DD/MM/YYYY as default . But we want the format should show up as DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MM:SS
    As far as we know, there is no preference setting available in WebI. Could you please guide us how can we change the format?
    thx

    Hi,
    Are you using a date object or a string object for date.
    If you are using a date object then you would have the option of calendar selection when using between where you would be able to see your desired format.
    I think if this does not resolve ur issue then either by changing regional settings or by changing the User setting (i.e. if you are using a single signon for ur Database (maybe SAP system) and ur BO WebI reports then the user id settings would directly apply here and you should be able to acheive mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss format.)
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Kartik

  • Query filter by date not working

    We recently migrated to SAP BO 9.0. We have a query that brings up all the job orders (pending or not). The user then filters the query to pick the appropiate data. We have several problems with this approach with 9.0 as a) when you bring up the filter, we can not enter a random date in the appropiate column and b) The drop down list of dates does not bring all the dates available (translation: it bring dates up to 2012 but we have 2014 dates available and that show up in the query)
    Any pointers?
    Regards

    Hi,
    1. select " In range" under rule column
    2.  In value column, choose "space" from drop down list and enter required date
    3.  Same to way enter date for "To value" column.
    4. Choose filter
    Query will be filtered as per selected date from "Value" and "to value" dates.

    On the report title I need those time frame above. I put the u201CTransaction Dateu201D on my report title.
    However  on the report result I got #MULTIVALUE. Much appreaciate your help.

    Hi,
    You cannot use minimum or maximum functions, take an example where user has entered dates like 1-1-2000 to 1-1-2012
    but the actaual data may contain values for the dates 9-1-2001 to 2-9-2011 then your report with min and max displays vlaues 9-1-2001 to 2-9-2011 but the actual dates entered by user is different.

  • InfoView - Query Filter for date variable of previous week

    I am trying to automate the process to generate a report for the previous week's data.  Right now I just prompt the user to enter in the start & end date/times, but I would like to somehow automate the date filtering using a Query Filter.
    In particular, the report will be generated every Thursday at 12:35 PM, and it needs to filter only the date field between the date's of the previous Thursday @ 1:31 PM, and the current Thursday @ 12:30 PM.
    I know there is a way to do this using an offset or something like that, but I'm a bit of a newbie to InfoView....so any help is greatly appreciated.  Sorry if the explanation is confusing.
    Thanks so much,

    Hi,
    You can create two objects on universe level or first database level then add in the universe based the sysdate.
    Then go to  webi  query and  replace the prompt value by these objects and from next time when ever user refresh this report will run  without any prompt.Same thing in the scheduled report.
    Thanks,

  • Timestamp data type on S[range C on E] constant value-based range windows

    Hello,
    My questiong is about how can we use timestamp value on S[range C on E] constant value-based range windows.
    I have a LotEvent which i should collect and sum lastQty data for last ten minutes of market time (sendDate)
    A normal [range 600] query does not work for me because i would like to use the exact time which data has been generated by the market (sendDate).
    Here is the event;
    public class LotEvent{
         private Double totalQty;
         private float lastQty;
         private String symbol;
         private String messageType;
         private Integer dataInterval;
         private String sendDate;
    send date is always in "MM-dd-yyyy HH:mm:ss" format.
    I have tried to use the following query but this gives an error;
    Invalid statement: "select symbol, sum(lastQty) as lastQty, 10 AS dataInterval
    +from lotInputChannel [range INTERVAL "0 0:0:15.0" DAY TO SECOND on >>sendDate<<]+
    group by symbol"
    Cause: Datatype char is not valid for value based windows
    Action: Use a valid datatype for value based windows>
    Here is the CQL;

    </rules>
    </processor>
    </wlevs:config>
    i have tried this cql after changing the sendDate data type to long which is the time in milliseconds value but it did not work.
    select symbol, sum(lastQty) as lastQty, 10 AS dataInterval
    from lotInputChannel [range INTERVAL "0 00:10:00.0" DAY TO SECOND on to_timestamp(sendDate)]
    group by symbol
    The query above does not work also when sendDate is a String in "MM-dd-yyyy HH:mm:ss" format
    At last i tried the following query with sendDate as time in milliseconds (long) value. It works! but i still would like to know how to use timestamp in S[range C on E] queries
    select symbol, sum(lastQty) as lastQty, 10 AS dataInterval
    from lotInputChannel [range *600000* on sendDate]
    group by symbol

         private String symbol;
         private String messageType;

    Could anybody please help me with this issue?
    Edited by: user8830791 on 01-Aug-2011 06:39

    It seems that you should configure the channel "lotInputChannel" as an application timestamped channel.
    You can do that as follows -
    - Have "sendDate" as a long and let its unit be milliseconds
    - Use the following child elements of <channel> for the "lotInputChannel"
    <wlevs:application-timestamped is-total-order="true">
    <wlevs:expression>sendDate*1000*1000</wlevs:expression>
    </wlevs:application-timestamped>
    The multiplication by 10^6 is required since the units need to be converted into nanos
    With this, you could use the query -
    select symbol, sum(lastQty) as lastQty, 10 AS dataInterval
    from lotInputChannel [range 10 minutes]
    group by symbol
    Of course, for the above to work, a requirement is that the value of "sendDate" is non-decreasing.
    That is if e1 is before e2 in the "lotInputChannel" then e1.sendDate <= e2.sendDate

    I have created a LOV in Mobile Web Application using PL/SQL procedure.
    I'm not able to get the values entered by the user before displaying the List of values.
    I need the values entered to pass it to the query.
    There might be a seeded event or method to capture these values.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Before invoking Input task, I have created a transformation to initailize the payload elements, so that in the UI these field elements will be become editable.
    I have an ADF table which is used to insert account details elements which is initialized in the transformation with namespace.You can simple use a ADF form to do this. Create ADF editable input fields in a panelFormLayout and wehn user enters values and clicks ona button .. pass those values to BPM payload.

  • Query filter on  a value with dash confuses for a range

    Hello, I've a web query, have a variable on a legacy PO which is char 10, the legacy PO values have legitimate - in their value for ex: 65011-001
    when i enter this value in the query filter (variable value), the query comes with msg ' this characteristic info object doest not support interval selections', and ignores the filter and bring the all the values.
    I tried putting PO enclosed with single and double quotes  but that didnt seem to work either, how can we make the variable take the literal value and do not interpret it as a range or interval.
    thanks for the help.
    Mayil

    Alright figure it out..
    looks like i've to give a escape in this case '\'
    so if i entered the value like 64917\-001 it is able to filter out in the web.
    i wonder if there is a way i cannot do this and get by..

    Customer ID pulled in and also for "TYPE", I want a value of "CUSTOMER".  When I maintainthe Dimension, I want to see
    th followingvalues:
    ID                          EVDESCRIPTION                                   PARENTH1                         TYPE
    0000000001         WALMART                                            CUSTOMER                        CUSTOMER
    0000000002          TARGET                                               CUSTOMER                        CUSTOMER
    and so ON
    Since we have Vendor Numbers in the same Diemsnion, when I pull Vendors, I need to have similar values as:
    ID                          EVDESCRIPTION                                   PARENTH1                         TYPE
    0000005050         ABC Supply Inc.                                   VENDOR                            VENDOR
    0000005051         BASF                                                    VENDOR                            VEDOR
    and so ON
    How can assign a Fixed value to the member Propert?  Can I achieve it in Conversion file....?
    ( My atempts failed...).
    Any suggestion recommendation would be gretaly appreciated.
    Munna.

    Hi,
    For adding fixed values to the properties, you can use the transformation file. In the mapping section, you can specify a constant value. This value will be written to properties of all the members while importing master data. However, for parenth, its a bit different. First thing is that, you need to have a member called CUSTOMER, then only you can have CUSTOMER in the parenth column. Even if you add it and use the mapping section for this purpose, then it will write CUSTOMER to parenth for all the members (even to CUSTOMER member). And this will be wrong. So, you will need to write it manually.
    Hope you got the idea.

  • How to retrieve dynamic filter value submitted from control query to .....

    How to retrieve dynamic filter value submitted from control query to broadcast query.....
    I'm trying to change the hierarchy version determined by a userexit variable in the broadcast query.
    The Hierarchy Version should be dependent on the input filter delivered by the bursting query.
    But how do I catch the dynamic filter value which has been submitted by the bursting query,
    with other words:  where does the bursting query store it's out put while sequentially starting the broadcast query value by value?
    BTW: the filter value from the bursting query appears under "dynamic filter values" in the information of the broadcast query...
    Any thoughts are welcome!
