CardDAV syncs to cloud, but doesn't sync to device

I sync my MBP Address Book and iPhone contacts with Yahoo using the CardDAV protocol. I am able to connect to the CardDAV server from both devices, and the initial sync works well. However, I noticed that subsequent modifications on contacts that I make on my MBP sync to Yahoo correctly, but they don't sync down to the iPhone. The reverse is also true. I also noticed that if I made the changes on Yahoo itself, those modifications do not sync down to both devices. Does anyone have a solution this problem?

So to confirm... You launched Address Book (client!) > Preferences > Accounts > select the plus sign in the bottom left to add an account > select CardDAV account type > Yahoo user and password and the server address you entered into the server address box is "https://carddav.address.yahoo.com:443" (without the quotes), and that didn't work?
update: ugh. Looks like something has changed here. Digging...

I want pictures from each device in the cloud, but not on every other device. Possible? "iCloud Backup" alone doesn't seem to work....

My goal is to acheive 3 of the following things.:
Have all my apple devices sync pictures to the icloud *without* syncing the pictures on all the devices...so just one direction from device to cloud and not have all the devices insync from the cloud...... I don't want all the devices in sync, I just want the pictures protected in the cloud. To do this, I've tried to just turn on "icloud bacn-up" and not turn on "photo stream" to acheive this, but doesn't seem to work.
If #1 is possible, then I would like to sync the icloud with a folder on my PC using the icloud app for the PC. Not sure if I can have only the icloud PC sync and not have all the devices in sync?
If #1 and #2 could work, then I would sync the PC folder with my local storge.
end result would be all my photos save in the cloud and a safe copy my home in my local storage. I would have thought that most people would want to do this, but doens't seem so obvious to me as to how I can get it to work?
Any help would be appreicated.

You can't use iCloud as a safe place to store your photos when they are deleted from your devices. iCloud designed to stream photos to your devices, and to back up photos currently on your your devices as part of your iCloud backups. However, photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, giving your devices enough time to download them. And if you delete a photo stream photo from any of your devices, it is also deleted from iCloud and from all of your devices. Furthermore, while camera roll photos are included in your backup, if you then delete the photos from your device and continue backing up, the backup containing the deleted photos will be overwritten by one that doesn't, and they will be lost.
If you want to save your photos, import them from the camera roll to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Then you can delete them from your device.
If you would rather have a cloud-based place to store your photos, look into a service such as Dropbox.

Playing mp3 stream works well in Emulator but doesn't play on Device

I'm facing this problem. I'm using flex && actionscript to play an mp3 stream on the phone.
Code works great and the sound is played when the app is run in the flash builder emulator.
However, when i deploy my app on a mobile device (tried several Android phones) everything is good except the stream doesn't play!
Can you please help me??

I've resolved the path issues and am now experimenting with formats other than SCORM that will hopefully launch off our LMS (SyberWorks).
I think I know what a cross domain issue is... it seems pretty self evident, (ie) .htm/.swf files live on a different server domain than video or audio files.
I think all my files are on the same domain in the zip file. However, are the following paths also an example of a cross domain issue?:

And the other night while i was trying to sync my phone, it was working until "Error message (-50)" started coming up every time i tried to sync or update my phone's software through itunes on my computer. eventually, itunes quit and i unplugged my phone and updated it wirelessly. i have no idea why any of this is happenings. Itunes is still acting weird for me too.

Error -50 is generally associated with firewalls or anti-virus software as described here:

iSync is a Mac-only application for syncing Contacts and Calendars to mobile phones and PDAs. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Windows, iPods or iTunes.

IPod Shuffle 2nd Gen. not working, music plays but doesn't sync\

I have an iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen since a long time and it always worked perfectly. But now it has stopped working well. It has music stored inside and it plays it, it evencharges from the pc, but doesn't sync in iTunes, nor it shows up on Desktop. On iTunes the message in Italian says idt couldn't be identified and to reconnect the iPod and retry. I tried the Reset Utility but it says my iPod isn' supported even if it is a 2nd Gen iPod. The only positive thing is it shows up on System Profiler.
I tried also turning off the iPod for 5 seconds and turning it again on, but the issue is still there.
Have you got any suggestions?

Actually it turns out I can't even add to it. It claims it's synced to another library (which apparently is true, being as it was last used with my Macbook Pro). Somewhat new question, How do I combine the two libraries, as it's all mine, just on two different computers, one of which doesn't work unless it's in Hard Disk Mode.

When I connect my iPad to my windows 7 computer it syncs alright but doesn't charge. Has anybody have any answers. Thanks.

The quickest way to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge, but only when it's in sleep mode. Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Don't spend a lot of time trying to change it. It's an iCloud problem that's happened before, and when it happened in August it went back to the correct colors in a few days. Just be careful when you add new items to the calendar to use the right calendar (even if the color is wrong), otherwise you'll have things out of synch when the correct colors come back.

How do you have your iPod configured to sync with your iTunes library? Automatically or do you manually manage its contents by dragging what you would like from your library to the iPod.
If you have it set to automatically sync all checked songs and videos, make sure each track you wish to sync to your iPod is checked within your iTunes library.
Under the Summary tab for your iPod, is there any space taken of by the "Other" category (orange)?

when syncing my iPhone 5 to my computer I keep getting a message "copying diagnostic information" and then determines apps & tracks to sync but doesn't seem to copy anything followed by "waiting for changes to be applied" which seems to take at least 10 minutes. You need to be running itunes 10.7 on your computer....

Your iTunes account won't include your non-iTunes purchased e.g. music copied from CDs etc, nor photos that were synced from a computer.
To get non-iTunes music you will have to go via a computer. If you don't have that music on, for example, an external drive, then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from a device : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For photos that were originally synced from a computer then there are apps such as Simple Transfer which can copy them between devices and/or to a computer (though photos are 'optimised' as part of the syncing process, so if you do copy them back to a computer then they might not be the same as they were on your laptop).

no apple store replaced. they said there were 3 apple programs that kept crashing in background, which ran battery down cause they kept trying to re-load.
they backed up phone to cloud, wiped out old software and replaced new software & new battery. since then won't sync with itunes on computer.
