(Sorry for my bad English. Google Translator helped.)
Buy an iPhone 4S FREE in USA last year and I was using it without any kind of problems with the provider "Telecom Personal" in my country.
It turns out that in a moment's time began to appear in the operator name "self" causing the iPhone does not work.
Probe to change the SIM and still having the same problem. The funny thing that if I put the SIM from another operator (PJ: Claro) works without any problem. I wonder if they have any similar problem or know the solution. Thank you.

As a general rule, if you can send/receive SMS's, and MMS is turned on in settings, the problem almost always rests with your carrier. Either MMS massaging is not provisioned properly on your account or turned on.

  • [SOLVED] urxvt/console spanish characters

i didn't bother with this "issue" i have, because rarely i type something in spanish (my native language) in urxvt, but lately i had to use msn a lot, (yeah i hate it too, but here people use that... and facebook) so, i have to use a lot the "n" and "a,e,i,o,u" characters, the thing is, i have no problem in X apps typing those characters as you can see, but in console and urxvt i can see the "a,e,i,o,u" characters, but i cannot type them, for example, if a text file has them, i can see them in vim, but im not able to type them, but the "n" character i cannot see neither in console nor urxvt, cant see it and cannot type it, only a "?" when it is displayed...

  • Two different spanish languages?

    Hi,
I've installed Oracle Portal 10g and i've selected English and Spanish as Supported Languages.
But Spanish is installed together with Latin American Spanish, and they are installed as DIFFERENT languages.
The problem is that the content contributors of my portal have different regional configurations in their computers. Some have Spanish, other Spanish(Chile), and other have Spanish(Argentina), Mexico, etc.
When they have a defined territory (country) they publish content in LatinAmerican Spanish.
When they do not have a territory they publish content in Spanish.
And, you know, content in a language is not displayed when another language is selected (and spanish is different from latin american spanish)
How can I force the users to use one of the spanish languages regardless of the browser configuration?
If anyone know how can I do this, please tell me how ... is urgent.
    Thank you

    Hi,
the Catalan locale will be added to the forthcoming IGS 7.00 patch, see note 1105634.
If you use IGS 6.40 you have to install patch 20.

  • Technical Service in Argentina?

    In English:
Hello, I live in Argentina, I want to know how to do to officially support the IPhone in my country, as operators are authorized by Apple to sell but do not give any kind of support to its users, so I want to know who I have to talk to do this.
    Sorry for my English.

I was looking at the forum as you see in the links I put down a lot of people complain about the poor support that the carriers are in Argentina!

  • Change Keyboard Layout, But Keep Language

I have a MacBook with USA keyboard layout.
While installing, by mistake i selected Latin American keyboard.
Now, i want my language to still be "Spanish/Argentina", but they keyboard layout should be USA.
How can i do that? Note that I don't want to have many input keyboards and then have to switch between latin and english language.

I don't see an option to change "keyboard layout" only.
Do you really not see the Tab called Input Menu under system preferences/international? There are boxes to check for keyboard layouts, and one is called US.
Another Tab is called Language, and there you can put Spanish (actually Español) at the top to keep your OS in Spanish.
Another Tab, in the middle, is called Formats.
PS If you want to type Spanish with the US layout, you can use the Option/Alt key shortcuts. A list can be found here:

  • Problem with Date Format in a Table.

Hi, I have several views, in each views I have two tables with two fields of date.
This data are from an adaptive RFC function exported in Date ABAP format.
The webdynpro is showing me the date in mm/dd/yyyy format, and I want to change that to dd/mm/yyyy. Which is the easiest way to accomplish this.
    Thx

    Rodrigo,
Before you start to alter default behavior, take on acount that it was created with certain reason, namely support for internationalization(I18N) and localization (I10N). So WD application displays date, times, currencies in locale-specific manner.
Altering just date display leads to inconsistences with other formatting.
The locale is choosen by sevearl criterias, you may search WD forum to find out more. Briefly, WD consider settings in UME for logged-in user, browser headers and application url parameters.
For example, try to add the following sap-locale parameter with settings for Spanish/Argentina:
    sap-locale=es_AR
<b>Notice, that unlike other options suggested here, this will affect all formating in your application. Moreover, if back-end is localized as well (R/3 for example) you will get localized data from back-end</b>

  • Localization for Inventory Manager 4.0

    Hi guys,
Do you have any documentation which explain how to configure the localization on Inventory Manager 4.0? or something similar. I need to configure Spanish as an alternative language for the mobile app, but I don't know what is the procedure to configure the spanish language for inventory manager? I guess I must copy the ini files from language packs... and put these files on the same location where the other files exist... but after that I don't know what else I should do...

ok Mark Pe & Stephen Streeter , I see it now... thank you !!! ... I have done what Bill Froelich commented on Localization in Syclo Agentry for Spanish and German ...
and when I saw the startup log it shows:

That seems to be fine... now it loads the localization (english and spanish as suggested on the other post), but when I enter to the device (physical device), the client still shows the labels in english.... The regional settings on the devices says Spanish (Venezuela).. Is this configuration on regional setting has something to do with the fact the labels still are shown in english??... the language is always like this: Spanish (Argentina), Spanish (Chile), Spanish (Venezuela)... It does not have only spanish...

  • ZTE MF636 stick modem and Snow Leopard

    Hi All,
Does anybody knows if the ZTE MF636 stick modem will work on snow leopard (10.6.2)?
I still don't understand what has to be installed and how.
Is there a specific driver that has to be installed for SL? Is this how OS X recognize the stick as a modem?
Then there should be a "connection manager" or some sort of app to get connected to Movistar mobile Internet? Is this app mandatory or I can connect using network preferences for dialing?
Any help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.
by the way my carrier is Movistar Argentina.
    best,
    i

Hi Imol, I have managed to install the modem and software on my macbook Air (Snow Leopard)
*>>>WARNING: This is going to break your Snow Leopard installation<<<*
After you install the modem software (located on the USB stick itself), the system will be VERY unstable.
Next step is to run your Snow Leopard install disk and go through the motions (45 minutes or so depending on your setup)*Please seek guidance if you are unfamilar on how to use the Snow Leopard Disk to repair your system.
Now here is what happens: When you install the software for the modem the installer puts all of the drivers into the folders they would have been in Leopard. When you run your Snow Leopard disk it moves all the relevant files/drivers into the locations required by Snow Leopard. I know this is a very unorthodox method but it works.
The connection manager software then works as it should. You can run the modem without the connection manager software, but everytime you remove and install the device you have to re-enter the dial-up connection (*99# - tells the modem to connect to your service) & none of the fine tuning (picture quality settings improves loading times no end) or telling the modem not to display the disk mount for the installation software. One Final thing with the conection manager you can send SMS texts across the cellphone network as it will be preconfigured for your service provider.
My Final words that I can offer is, 4G is here and Modems have already started to surface in the USA. You could contact Movistar find out the estimated time of arrival for these units in Argentina. The 4G service might be limited if at all but the modem will be able to connnect at the best speed available in your region and the sofware will be written for Snow Leopard.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    C.

  • MMS missing on iOS 6.1.2 iphone

I dont have the MMS or APN settings on my iphone 4s os 6.1. It seems to be a bad configuration, I cant send mms. its a fW  problem!, old version of the fw iphone works
    iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.2
I have the  all the information about   the APN settings also mms.... to make the changes.. . The problem is the Iphone, also the carrier says the same. This problem its seems to be  the same to many users..(. more with the new Fw 6 and up )
    My carrier is Movistar Argentina
Its seems that the iphone has embedded the settings in same way. So, some times the iphone load that information of the SIM CARD or the carrier (I dont know) but, other, like this one have bad the settings & I dont have the options (menu) to change. (APN OR MMS)
This menu options are missing. In some iphones with the same FW version and same Hardware  appear...
I have more iphones  in my company & friends  with the same problem
    Thanks !

Movistar Argentina is a supported carrier. APN settins are not available for manual selection when using any supported carrier as they are already in the phone... There is no reason to have to change them. If it's not working correctly, contact your carrier. They don't have your account provisioned properly.

  • Issue with BIS and location via cell network

I am having an unusual problem on my Blackberry 9850. This started happening randomly over the past few days, currently happening now.
Via the 3G network, from my home area (Eustis, Florida USA - ZIP code 32726) certain BIS functions do not work correctly.
I can not send BBM chat messages, I get the red "X " for the message, but I can receive them.
Web browsing to Google.com brings up the Google Mobile site for Argentina. When I try to adjust the language preferences back to English - United States, it just refreshes back to Spanish - Argentina.
However, if I turn on WiFi and allow the BIS to switch over to that, everything works fine.
I have already tried *228, option 2, several times. It only fixed it one time last week and then awhile later is was not working correctly again.
Any idea what is going on?

Got through to Verizon support this morning and they brought in a BlackBerry Tech on the line.
Turns out there was and still is an issue with the Verizon BIS server and they are working on a resolution, but no ETA.

  • 3g fails after applying carrier settings to a phone that worked since day 1

Please can anyone advise me what to do. I am travelling and have been using my iphone extensively on the Spanish 3G network. My iphone is from Belgium and is unlocked (fully legal as Belgium iphones are not locked to any vendor) and when i am in Spain i insert my Spanish SIM and change my internet APN settings and bingo everything works just great. However this morning i accepted an update from apple itunes for carrier settings for the vodafone network in Spain, At that point i was using my iphone in tethered mode for the internet (the hotel room fee's being a rip off).
Now my iphone claims "Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network" and i can not access any settings any more to change the APN!
Jeez i wish i hadn't accepted the update. of course there is NO backup in the backup directory, it seams apple doesn't think we need a backup. How can i get my phone to the normal state where i can access the settings for network like APN, MMS etc?
    Thanks to all

A loss of the APN setting should mean the carrier update has installed the correct APN, so the setting is not needed. To undo the carrier setting, you could try deleting any files in:
    ~Library/iTunes/iPhone Carrier Support
    then Restoring the iPhone.

  • Update Carrier settings fail

I have updated iTunes and when I connect the iPone I get a message to update the Carrier Settings. This however fails with the prompt " iTunes could not update the Carrier Settings on your iPhone. An unknown error occured (0xE8000057).
Any clues what this means at how it should be solved ?

I have the same problem with you.
I have tried to restore the IPhone. It can restore and update successfully. However, the problem remains after it.
I am using PCCW in Hong Kong

  • IPhone fails to locate a carrier when set to automatic ?

My iPhone 5 fails to find a carrier when set to Auto?  If I reset it to 'manual' search, it will locate all available carriers. Why is the phones 'auto function' not working since the last iOS update?

    Try:
Turn on airplane mode for thirty seconds, turn it off again, and then see if the iPhone automatically selects the optimal network.
