CATSDB values are copied from HR in real-time
We use default values in IT 315 to report in CATS. At some point we have discovered wrong default values and changed them in the HR records.
But the "wrong" values were already copied into CATSDB table for posting, even though entries are not posted yet into finance.
Is there any OSS note/program that can refresh CATSDB with current values from the HR records? Otherwise we have to cancel/reverse and report again that is time consuming.

No need to reverse or cancel the posted entries. since you have not posted in finance. it can overwrite.
Go to transaction code CAT2 , make the required changes and save the data.
Then with CAT5 transfer the data once again , it will overwrite your existing data.

In your sub reports, you also have to suppress the values (report labels,headings etc) using a formula.
Go in Report Menu--Section Expert--Suppress -- Formula editor and write the follwoing :
if Count({Yoursubreportfield)}) > 0 then false else true
This will suppress your headers and footers or any other secitons which has static information.
Now in the main report go in section expert and check 'Suppress Blank Sections'
Also check you have applied New Page before or After for any of your sections.

and for your first question, please check whether u are able to connect database with your connection method. if you are able to connect to the database, then please check the values (print them on the browser) which are posted from form, if it is also correct then check you r insert statement.

Files are copied from the server very long
After upgrading to OS X Lion to Mac pro, very long are copied large files from a network server. Instead of 4 minutes, 13 minutes is up. How to speed up the process of transferring a file? Sorry for my English .

A problem of low connection speed in the network
There is an engine connected to the corporate network (a switchboard is cisco catalyst 2960).
The operating system used by the Mackintosh is Mac OS 10.7.4. When downloading a file, a low speed problem arises. For example, a file of 1.7 GB size takes at least 12 minutes to download.
There were no such problems prior to OS update (OS 10.6.8 was previously installed).
About 20 iMacs are connected to the same network and these machines do not have any speed problems and limitations.
Both patch cord and a port on the switch were tested - they also do not have any bugs.
Network configuration and SMB setup were set by default. We tried to set up MTU manually - but there was no result. -
Renaming Valid Values of "Copy From" in Delivery

In a delivery doc, i have selected a customer and clicked on "Copy From". I get a small popup with values "Quotations", "Sales Orders", "Returns". I want to rename these to different values.

Where are daqmx files stored on real time target?
Hi,
I am working on an application that will be embedded in a RT desktop target. To make the system easier to maintain in the future, I would like to be able to generate a DAQmx task programatically from the *.ini file exported from MAX. This way, users don't have to know what my code is doing in order to recalibrate sensors or manage new hardware; they only have to know how to use MAX and where to store the config files on the target.
Where are daqmx task, channel, and scale information stored on a RT target? I've been through the files on the target looking for something that contains my task data but have found nothing, though dropping a system property node into a VI running on the target will give a correct list of the tasks that I have configured. (The project that contains the aforementioned VI does not have the tasks in it ie: I did not import them to the project.)
Is there a utility that will run on the RT target that can generate a task at run time from the exported *.ini files?

Go to Solution.Exahustive keyword searching brought me to an answer on the forums. I'll post a brief summary here in case anyone else uses the same keywords as I have.
1. Export config file from MAX
2. Write a VI that uses the tools in the System Management pallette to upload the configuration to the real-time target.
3. Profit.
In my case, the VI I wrote to upload the DAQmx config also generates the config files for the VIs on the host and target side, so everybody knows what the tasks are called.

Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system.
Business Add-In is a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects.
They can be inserted into the SAP system based on specific user requirements.
Each Business Add-In has:
at least one Business Add-In definition
a Business Add-In interface
a Business Add-In class that implements the interface
In order to enhance a program, a Business Add-In must first be defined
Subsequently two classes are automatically generated:
An interface with IF_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
An adapter class with CL_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
The Application developer creates an interface for this Add-In.
There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
Set flag field "Buffer trace"
Remark: We need to trace also the buffer calls, because BADI database tables are buffered. (Especially view V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT)
Push the button "Activate Trace". Start transaction VA02 in a new GUI session. Go back to the Performance trace session.
Push the button "Deactivate Trace".
Push the button "Display Trace".
The popup screen "Set Restrictions for Displaying Trace" appears.
Now, filter the trace on Objects:
V_EXT_IMP
V_EXT_ACT
Push button "Multiple selections" button behind field Objects
Fill: V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT
All the interface class names of view V_EXT_IMP start with IF_EX_. This is the standard SAP prefix for BADI class interfaces. The BADI name is after the IF_EX_.
So the BADI name of IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA is CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.

You can do this using Integrated Planning
You need to create a aggregation level on the Real Time infocube and can create Planning function/sequence, Variables if needed.
Then you can create query on this aggregation level and you can make the keyfigures Input ready in property pane and you can change the data and save it into cube.

How can I control external MIDI devices from my PXI Real-time system?
I am trying to implement a psychoacoustic experiment using an external MIDI device that can be used to shift the pitch of a speaker's voice.
I have a 8176 controller in a 1002 chasis with the 6052E IO card. I would very much prefer to run the system in real-time mode (rather than win XP), and need to control the MIDI device through one of the interfaces on the controller.
Any suggestions?

one way would be an analogue to MIDI converter.
There are some out there (ask for music equipment)which can convert an analogue signal to some MIDI controller signal. This way you could control the pitch shift with an analogue output of the 6052 in realtime.

Are pick released lines updated real time?

When you pick release an order do the delivery detail line status get updated in the wsh_delivery_details table as they are released individual or after the pick release program finishes pick releasing the entire order?
Thanks for any information you can provide.- We have a third party warehouse management system that will do the shipping.
- So when orders are in a pick release status we send that order to the warehouse.
- We look at the following tables for the pick released orders in real time: WSH_DELIVERY_DETAILS,wsh_new_deliveries
So the problem occurs when the pick release program is running.
It will first insert the header of the order in the wsh_new_deliveries table and then as the order lines are being pick released it updates the WSH_DELIVERY_DETAILS table.
Our interface starts when it sees a new order in the wsh_new_deliveries table. The interface will then pick all the pick released order lines. But because the pick release program is still pick releasing the lines the interface will only pick a subset of the pick released lines.
So we don't know when the pick release program is finished finished pick releasing the lines.
Of course we can add a time delay but there is never a guarantee. -
How to determine time value of a .wav file in real time as it plays?

I need to build a vi in which a .wav sound file is represented in a Waveform graph, and at the same time, I want to play that file, and have a vertical cursor line running along the Waveform graph, in order to have a visual representation of where the sound track is, in terms of time.
Making the .wav file to appear graphicaly on a Waveform graph was an easy task to do, but then, I was´nt able to extract the time information of that .wav file, at the same time that this file is being played.
This is a very common situation in music players, video players etc, where some kind of graphical artifact, represents in real time where the track is while it plays.Hi, this is the first ActiveX control I have played with but its really cool.

How can I put C files gave me from Matlab Simulink Real Time Workshop in a CIN?
I'm doing a turbine simulation, and I've already done it in Matlab Simulink Real Time Workshop. It gave me files .c, and I want to use them to run the same simulation on a PCI 7030/6040 using LabView RT 5.1. I'm using the CINs. My problem is that I'm able to have .lsb files, but them don't work....I mean I have as output the same result 0(zero). What can I do for solving my problem?

when i check the stock value for a material its correct but the material has different sizes like a, b, c, but the sock values of the material in different sizes are not matching at all with R/3 but the overall stock value is matching
what could be the reason ????

we have already completed 22 weeks and r running in 23 week so if want a status of a material will it show only the status as of 22nd week r else it will take into considerataion into the 23 issues and receipts.
becoz i am using the stock cube which is only having time char as 0calweek and r/3 is giving stock details as of now.

We are using the SAP standard cube AFMM_C02--> stock on weekly basis.
so even the update rules are standard and we have not done anything to get the size values has we have standard object called grid value when we try to view information in drill down by sizes then we are not getting the right info for the grid values
and we are having deltas every day.....then even if we have entered into the 22nd week it should show us the actual quantity right
and i have found this code in my update rules....its a standard one and its almost the same for other 3 keyfigures

I'm attempting to create a calibration program, using the printer port, and a Vernier Serial Box by modifying a calibration program designed for the serial box.
There are six calibration points, and to collect them, I have it controlled by while loops so that the numbers are taken when a button is pushed, and this is inside a sequence structure so that I can get the six different points. I feed these numbers into two different arrays (for x and y values) and then try to use the linear coefficient analysis on these points, but the values for the slope and intercepts it returns are not correc

If I cut out the array and coefficient analysis, and feed the same numbers in directly without the while loop and sequence structures, it produces the proper values... I don't know why the numbers it is producing are different, and I'd really like to know.

Karinne.I would use a data manager sub-vi that would be called by each from of the sequence structure that produced a data point. The data manager sub-vi could auto append new items or could place items in a specific entry of an array. Later on when you want to calculate the linear fit, call the sub-vi to return the array of values.
