CCMP 9.0 Cluster Installation Failed on subscriber

Dear All,
I am trying to install CCMP 9.0 in a replicated environment where all the components (Application, web, database) running on publisher (CCMPA) & subscriber (CCMPB). However everything is working fine on publisher node and changes are successfully saved. When I try to open a webpage on subscriber node, it gives the following error:
Server Error in '/Portal' Application.

Also if I go to replication manager publisher machine in ICE>>>it gives the following error: Unable to access path \\CCMPB\repldata
Please give suggestions if anyone else installed CCMP in cluster mode. Does it work this way or the webpage only works on publisher. CCMP configuration guide is not very helpful.

SQL 2012 cluster installation fails with an IP address error

I am building an eight node cluster and have successfully installed two SQL instances on it. Now, I cannot install any additional instances because of the following error:
The resource with identifier 'Type='IP Address' NetworkName='Cluster Network 1' Group='SQL Server (WEBAPPS)' Resource='SQL IP Address 1 (ACHSQLWebapps)'' could not be found on the cluster. Please check if it exists.
I can verify that the installation builds the SQL Name and then adds the IP address. After the IP address comes online, the installation stops and that error pops up. It results in a failed install that must be removed by the "Remove Node"
wizard.
A search on the web comes up empty. Any ideas?

To add a node to an existing SQL Server failover cluster, We should run SQL Server Setup on the node that is to be added to the SQL Server failover cluster instance.Please verify the account that you using has permission to log in as a service on all nodes
of the failover cluster.For local installations, you must run Setup as an administrator.

Cluster installation failed:OCR files are not shared across all nodes

Hi gurus,
I'm trying to install RAC 10g using vmware following hunter document to install oracle 10g Rac.
I'm using centos 4.6 ,I'm now stuck on installing cluster which shows error OCR file are not shared across all nodes.
Please advice

Review the Release notes, there is a bug and a fix since CRS fails on the last node.
This bug is for EL 5, but pretty match what I've found on the log files
I'm also in EL 4.6, x64 in my case.. haven't tried the fix due lack of time.
Provide log files from CRS_HOME/logs

I am trying to install cluster software on VMware with the help of OTN document.

i got error at the time of OCR file settings error is * the location /ocfs/clusterware/ocr entered for the oracle cluster registry (OCR) is not shared across all the nodes in the cluster. specify a shared raw partition or cluster file system file that is visible by the same name on all nodes of the cluster*

Hello,
Please note that to install 10g clusterware, you need to have shared storage which should be visible on all nodes. Since you are installing on VMware, i would suggest to go to oracle-base.com site where it's mentioned in step by step procedure.
On VMware, you need to add hardware and create a new vitual disk and then clone that vmware configuration to create another VMware server.

RAC 11gR2 cluster installation: root.sh failed on the 1st node

Does anybody know why is possible when I run the root.sh on the 1st node, during the Oracle 11gR2 RAC installation (cluster installation) to get the following error?

NTP daemon slewing option check failed on some nodes
PRVF-5436 : The NTP daemon running on one or more nodes lacks the slewing option "-x"
Result: Clock synchronization check using Network Time Protocol(NTP) failed
NTP mustn't be a problem I guess as the date are identical on the 2 nodes.
I have no idea how to fix the TCP connectivity issue with the subnet "192.168.1.0". Some posts wrote that could be a firewall issue. Are there any other causes ?

SQL 2008 R2 cluster installation failure - Failed to find shared disks

Hi,
The validation tests in the SQL 2008R2 cluster installation (running Windows 2008 R2) fails with the following error. The cluster has one root mount point with multiple mount points :
"The cluster on this computer does not have a shared disk available. To continue, at least one shared disk must be available'.
The "Detail.txt" log has alot of "access is denied" errors and here is just a sample. Any ideas what might be causing this issue?

We were asked by the PSS engineer to give the following privileges the account used to install SQL Server - i am referring to the user domain account as apposed to the SQL service account. These privileges were already applied to the
SQL service account prior to the SQL installation. Assigning these privileges to the user account resolved the issue.
Act as Part of the Operating Sywstem = SeTcbPrivileg
  Bypass Traverse Checking = SeChangeNotify
  Lock Pages In Memory = SeLockMemory
  Log on as a Batch Job = SeBatchLogonRight
  Log on as a Service = SeServiceLogonRight
  Replace a Process Level Token = SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege

Cisco Unified Connection Manager IM and Presence installation fails

Hello everyone, we are trying to install laboratory uses the Cisco Unified Connection Manager IM and Presence version10.The installation fails after a warning where there is a popup that asks if it is the first node of the configuration.From the installation manual is not clear if this product should be installed in a cluster architecture (publisher-subscriber).What should be the steps to follow?
Something has to be done on the server where we have installed theCisco Unified Connection Manager?

Acrobat XI Pro installation failed

MacBook Pro 13" Retina
OSX 10.8.5
3 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Used Akamai NetSession Interface.
Downloaded from Adobe website. After download, clicked on installer, entered serial number, quickly went through installing until right at the end: "THE INSTALLATION FAILED: Installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail. Contact manufacturer." Part of the message cut-off abruptly.
Then, it appeared that the installation did occur but when I opened the software the interface didn't look "smooth." Then almost immediately software update stated Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.04 was available for download, but computer wouldn't allow it to be installed citing error on initial problem. I uninstalled XI Pro and tried to download again from Adobe website but the window instantly opened for Akamai and said download complete. The same problem occured when I tried to install again, with the same error message.

The software now appears to be working for some reason, and even though Error 1301 appeared when trying to update to Acrobat 11.0.04, it shows that I am running 11.0.04. There is something going on in there but so far so good.

10g RAC installation fails....

I am able tp ping all my IP's from both the nodes,with host name &alias specified in the host file.
any thing else to be checked to fix "Virtual Private IP Configuration Assistant"?Any help?

SQL Server 2008 Express SP1 installation failed

System Info:
Windows 7 64Bit.
Scenario: I have an application, while installation it installs SQLServer 2008 instance with some xyz database name.
Issue: The system already has the SQLServer 2008 R2, and now I am trying to install the application but the SQLServer instance of my application is not getting installed, its giving error saying that the installation failed.

Hi,
You can install SQL server express 2008 on machine having SQL Server 2008 r2 is supported. From what you posted I guess SQL server 2008 r2 is default instance so you need to install SQL server 2008 express SP1 as named instance. Your error matches problem

Creative Cloud Installation Failed Download Error - Error Type -7 and Error Code - 401

I subscribed to Creative Cloud in December 2012 and have been trying to install the applications, but the "Installation Failed" through the Adobe Application Manager. (see screenshot)
Here is a line from my log file:

I tried searching for the same error code in the "knowledge base" but couldn't locate any.
I am on a Windows 7 (x64) machine. I also have CS5.5 installed.

   I tried the above steps, with no luck. I have admin rights on both laptop and desktop I'm trying to install to. I have updated my AAM on both machines with no issue (when using the direct link above). But when I click the 'Try' link to download an application, it shows the scrolling status bar for a few seconds, then "Installation Failed" 'Download error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support. (-7)'   Retry only produces same results.
Both machines are running Win 7 Pro - SP1 64bit
     (laptop - 16 GB RAM & Core i7-2760QM 2.40 GHz processor)
     (desktop - 8 GB RAM & Xeon W3520 2.67GHz processor)
I am running in a corporate setting with I'm sure all sorts of Firewall protection etc...
I'm planning on asking for a CC membership, but wanted to check out the new features first....

Hyper-V 2012 R2 Cluster Creation Fails

I am trying to create a 2 Node Hyper-v 2012 R2 Cluster. The Cluster Validation passes with no errors or warnings but the the cluster creation fails.
The error is similar to
here .
In this case he solved it by joining the Nodes to a Windows 2012 Domain. We don't have that option in our environment.
In the System Logs Events 7024 The cluster service terminated... The cluster join operation failed, and 7031 Cluster Services Terminated unexpectedly.
Anyone have an idea?

Hi Todd,
For troubleshooting , please try to create a new OU then move cluster nodes computer to that new OU then block inheritance , restart the nodes .
After this try to use domain admin account logon the cluster nodes to build cluster again .

New SQL Server Failover Cluster Installation - No disk is available to select in section "Cluster Disk Slection"

Hello Everyone,
I am in a deep need for your help regarding the problem I am facing.
I am doing a New SQL Server Failover Cluster Installation in a virtual server that is part of a failover cluster. I am able to complete all the steps successfully but, when I reach the point where I am supposed to select the shared disk that will
be included in the SQL server resource cluster group, I don't find any disk in the list (as u can see in the figure below).
I have already created the a 2 nodes failover cluster and added 3 disks (1 as a witness in Quorum and 2 other available storage).
No roles were created, 2 nodes are available and 1 network is there in the cluster.
If u take a look at the message it say: "The search for mount points failed. Error: the system cannot find the path specified". What is this and how can I solve this issue??

I was not able to solve the problem by giving these privileges to the domain account I am using to install SQL.

Cause:
Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise. The Windows 7 language packs can be installed only from the Optional
Updates section in Windows Update. However, these language packs are not available on the Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server or through the Microsoft Download Center.

Resolution:
Go to Administration -> Overview -> Site Configuration -> Sites -> Right-click CAS -> Configure Site Components -> SUP Products tab, uncheck “Windows 7 Language
Packs”, then sync again. (Figure 3)

About installing Windows 7 language packs, you could use SCCM 2012 Package feature (download manually) or Windows Update.

I managed to fix my issue by coping the Client, ClientUpgrade, and Scripts from the files from SCCM install discs folder SMSSETUP to c:\program files\Microsoft Configuration Manager folder. I noticed that some of the files in the scripts
folder was missing and I copied the other folders over because I felt that maybe my local copy of the Client installer where missing some key files as well. Once I did that and disabled software update push, restarted the wsus computer, and re-enabled
the software update push it was able to publish the client and start installing it that way.
I thing the initial log messages where pointing me in the wrong direction for a few hours because I was thinking it was permissions as well and kept trying to figure that out but in the end I do not believe any of that was the reason I was receiving the
same error as you where.

I have tried ldapbind using the virtual host and that does not connect, ldapbind connects to the node itself.
Is there something specific that I need to check in BIG-IP? Is there any trace that I can enable on OID node to see if the request is reaching?

There is not a 'cluster' setting to the GroupWise server install anymore like what is in GW2012 or previous versions. There however, are a number of changes in how to setup on an OES cluster due to the addition of the GW admin service. In short, the admin service has to be set to be 'cluster enabled', which is a manual step. Then in the cluster load/unload scripts, an admin-service listener has to be started/stopped for each domain or po that joins or leaves the cluster node. Documentation on updating GW2012 on an OES cluster can be found here:

Also, the admin service has the ability to create service entries to gwha.conf, so the need to do the "import clustering data" from the install is no longer needed. The load script has a command to create the gwha.conf entry as it loads on each node. Example load/unload scripts are in the doc referenced above.
Looks like the doc section on installing new GW2014 to OES cluster is missing, I'll alert the doc folks to that..
