Cell Text Doesnt display comments in FR

Hi,
We're having some DR(Data Request) forms and through which we are submitting the amounts & comments against any particular HFM Account through Smartview fuctions like- HsSetValue and HsSetText, want to display the same in FR in the Grid.
Need to understand how I can get the account details in GRID, through celltext & getcell is not working and showing blank in the FR.. am passing arguments like
<<CellText("Grid1", cur, cur, cur)>>
e.g.
123456(account#) is having "increase in the cashflow due to increase in the revenue" attached as comments.
How I can display the same in FR?
Quick help would be highly appreciated.

you can take the formatted text in a word document, take a screen shot, put it in mspaint and select the required part. now place this picture in the blank cell's background image. this will preserve the formats of all kinds.
but u cant change the text dynamically.
usually we do this to give users an introduction page(tab1 in report followed by report tabs.) describing the application.

How to display Cell Text in Report?

Hello,
The users want to add cell text (comments) to their data for the controllers. The users are asked to enter their comments on a certain intersection of cells (e.ge. Total Year -> Plan -> Product unspecified). We want to display a report with the data and next to it the comments given.
One option is to print the webforms, but the result is terrible.
What options are there to accomplish this?

Hi,
Have you had a look at using BI Publisher Desktop to customise web forms as reports for printing.
For further information have a look the 9.3.1 planning admin documentation, page 213 "Customizing Reports", it is pretty easy to get a grip on and might just help formatting issues.
Otherwise Financial Reports may be another angle to start investigating.

Display Comments in Webi Report

Hi All,
We have a requirement, to display comments (2 or 3 paragraph in each page of report).The text needs to preserve the format (bold, bullets and colored text) i.e the format from the source data should be retained when displayed in the webi report.
Say for example the source is the excel and the text is coloured red or green , some part of the text is bold, all these formats should be preserved in the webi report also.
Can you please suggest, how to implemet this in webi report?

Display Comments directly on BEx Excel sheets

Marc has a white paper on displaying comments and attached documents on BPS web. Is there a solution to do the same on BEx Excel sheets when running a query?

Sanjay, yes you are correct that is how to goto the document, but how do you automaticaly include it in a printed version of the workbook?

Importing a field into an RTF file does not fill in Text To Display

This problem comes and goes. When I import a field from the local XML file into an RTF template, sometimes the Text to Display is blank, and I see five small circles in the cell. Other times, the Text to Display properly shows the field name. Is there some setting that will repair this problem?

Yes. Sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn't.

Display comments on mouse over

Hi Gurus,
I need to display comments on mouse over on the cell in web report.
In a web report, when a user right click on a cell and click 'Goto' and 'create comment' and enters and saves a comment then I can view the comment using a 'List of documents' web item.
But I need to see the comments directly when the 2nd user mouse over on the same cell.
can any one please help me out to do this. we are in 3.5 environment.

In this, when u goto page 20, there ia one SAP BW URL, which will help even to add a tooltip in WAD 3.5.

Cell Text Annotations of Hyperion Planning on Hyperion Financial Reporting

Hello,
There is a business requirement to show Cell text entered as annotation on each cells in data form to be reported using Hyperion Financial Reporting.
Also there is a case of some of the data types being text. Some of the forms also have supporting details.
Now I want to check how easy or difficult is it to report from Hyperion Planning V11.1.2 for the above mentioned.
Are there any noticeable performance issues?
Is it possible to report the cell text annotations , Supporting details & Datatype 'Text' from data form on Financial Report?

I haven't used the text data type, however I have done quite a bit of reporting on supporting detail. All you have to do is use a Hyperion Planning data source instead of an Essbase data source. (and specify on the report to show supporting detail). In general, Hyperion Planning data sources are slightly slower than Essbase data sources. How much slower depends on a lot of factors, but supporting detail can certainly slow things down.
One key limitation with reports that display this type of data is that it doesn't "roll up" the hierarchies. Your report has to be at the same level (in all dimensions) where the supporting detail was entered. So you can't pick an upper level Entity and show all of the supporting detail for it's descendants unless your report also includes the descendants. I understand why this limitation exists, but I routinely have clients that would like this functionality. (For Example - Show me all of the supporting details for the entire plan.)

How are you getting it to display the images?
Do you get a red x to indicate broken image?
Right click it, select properties and see what the requested URL is. Is it correct?
Most probably you are using an absolute link, without taking the web application context name into account

FR cell text question

Hi there,
I'm trying to add cell text into a FR report.
Right now, I'm adding a text row under each data row that utilizes the <<CellText()>> formula to display the cell text under each data cell.
I have two questions from this...
1) This seems like a fairly inefficient method if I have a lot of data rows/columns, is there an easier way to achieve what I am currently doing?
2) Assuming this is the only way, how do I suppress the entire data row if there is no cell text data for the whole data row? I've tried using all the basic suppression options, as well as some of the advanced options (ie. Value in Cell = No Data...)
Could anyone kindly offer some suggestions, much appreciated!

Cell text is enter into a cell on a data form grid, it is represents an intersection of data and information can be entered for that cell.
Planning annotations let you add or view comments about the data in a planning unit that is started, so this relates to workflow.

Text not displayed in the Web Report

Hi All,
I have a query where user is expecting both Key and Text to displayed in the report for the Info object "Local Product High". This infoobject has text data available. But Iam not sure why this is not getting displayed even when I select both Key and Text in the properties screen.Only Key is getting displayed.
Can some one throw some light on this.

I juct checked the Text table and I see the texts for the infoobject exists. I do not think CHange run will resolve this issue. but yes the master data is active .
I will now try to run the report through Bex and come back.

Text Message display on Curve 9360

Hi...just got a new Curve 9360. The default text message display shows all messages i.e. if I've sent a text most recently that is what I see at the top. What I want it to do is show the SMS Inbox (which I can navigate to via the folder options, but I can't find a way to set it as a default). Can't work out how to do it either on the device or when connected to the PC. Any suggestions...?...R

Do you mean that currently ALL of your email messages and SMS text messages are mixed in one folder when you view, and you want to see a folder on your homescreen of ONLY your SMS text messages? And your email messages in another folder?
If so, on your device, open that Messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > Inbox Management and check the box on "Text Messages", and save. That will put an SMS Text message folder on your screen.

How to hide cut/copy/paste/Replace… menu on the UIWebView when it is being displayed over the keyboard.
Detail: I am having a HTML from, having text box, displayed using UIWebView. If user types in text box it shows the keyboard. Now If user tap and hold on text box it shows a popup menu. Now while keyboard and pop up are being displayed user scrolls the view. At this time it shows pop up over the keyboard which I need to hide.
I tried setMenuVisible of UIMenuController when popup rect and keyboard rect intersects each other on viewDidScroll but it didn't help me.
Any clues will help a lot.

Can we display comments row for row in Input Ready Query...

Dear All,
Currently I have created Web template with Signle Document. When executed it in the Portal it will come up with a "Save" and "Cancel" button of its own and can allowing me to capture comment here & Finally Click on SAVE button which was stored in Documents area in RSA1.
Now I am was trying to figure out to display comments Row for Row in Input Ready Query...
Can you give ideas on this...

In query properties in BEx query designer you have to do settings to - Display document links
For metadata, master data, and InfoProvider data for a query, you can display links to Documents that you have created for these objects. If documents exist for these objects, the symbol appears next to these objects. If you click on this symbol, you jump to where the document is displayed on the Web.
Highlight the appropriate setting so that the document links for the desired document class are displayed. The document classes are oriented to the various categories of BW objects. InfoProvider data, metadata and master data.
