Center Flash animation in window?

Hi, all. I'd like to get my Flash animation to run centered
in the browser window, remaining at a fixed size regardless of how
the window is resized on screen. Is there some code I can add to
the Flash-generated HTML page to make this happen? Better yet, I'd
like it to open in a fixed-size window with dimensions matching the
Flash animation. Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it.

This is really an HTML/Javascript problem and not
particularly complicated. You can try a popup window as described
in the tutorial here:
http://www.tizag.com/javascriptT/javascriptpopups.php
Or you can use CSS/HTML to center the <OBJECT> tag that
corresponds to your flash movie. The easiest thing is probably to
put that <object> tag in a table like this
<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD align="center" valign="middle"><OBJECT>(this
object tag is generated by flash)</OBJECT></TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>

  • Embeding Flash Animation in Windows Forms

    Hye!
    This is my first questioin on this website, because this is
    my first time working with flash animations. I've made a flash
    animation in Adobe Flash. Now what i want to do is embed it in
    Windows Forms Application. Im using Visual C++ 2005. How can i show
    a flash animation on this form.
    Please Help!

    Hi,
    the only chance I see is with a Java Bean that support Flash animations. I did search the Web a while ago when this question came up the first time, but wasn't able to find a bean that supports a recent version of Flash.

  • Flash animations are out of the flash window limit ...

    When I place a flash animation in power point using breeze
    presenter, and I publish the presentation it is possible to see the
    animations that are out of the flash window limit …
    What can I do to make the breeze respect the flash limits and
    hide the animations outside those limits?
    Thanks!

    Just out of curiosity....is it possible that you've got
    elements in flash that begin OFF the flash stage and then animate
    ONTO it?
    There was a *funky* artifact of creating flash animations
    that played very strangely when imported into Breeze; there was a
    tech note about this, but I haven't found it recently. If your
    flash animation *must* be 200 x 200, then what I'd try is this:
    In flash, create a mask layer and be sure to have all other
    layers become masked by it. I realize that without seeing your
    animation, that it's probably "easier said than done"... However,
    the thing to note here is that by masking the stage in flash (and
    thus all the elements animated within it), you'll effectively kill
    the visibility of all visual elements that are off the stage.
    For what it's worth, I'd be happy to assist if you need
    further help. Just drop me a note using the private message
    function, or email me at [email protected]

  • Make Flash Animation visible without its window being visible.

    How do I configure my Flash Animation so that it is visible and running without its window being visible?
    The window background must be invisible too.
    This will run on the desktop not on a website.
    thanks Ned
    My .fla is attached...

    hey, thanks for the reply but that isn't the issue. my issue is that the animation doesn't stay within the div container. I tried what you said via chrome console but that's more of a hack way of doing it. I should be able to contain the animation within the div that its being wrapped with but for some reason it is jumping outside the div container.
    Does that make sense? Would be awesome if there was a walkthrough on how the edge animation settings worked. for example the code below. would i need to adjust something below for it to contstrain within the container?
        scaleToFit: "both",
        centerStage: "both",
        minW: "320",
        maxW: "1200",
        width: "830",
        height: "430"
    }, {"dom":{}}, {"style":{"${symbolSelector}":{"isStage":"true","rect":["320px","1200px","830px","430px"] ,"fill":["rgba(255,255,255,1)"]}},"dom":{}});

  • Place fixed flash animation in Dreamweaver

    Hi All,
    I am a complete beginner with Dreamweaver, and having great
    problems fixing the size of a flash animation I'm playing as an
    intro. I have managed to get the animation in and it centred, but
    when I tested it on another computer I noticed it had stretched and
    for some reason it was possible to minimise the animation by using
    the + and - signs whilst in the browser window. How can I prevent
    this from happening, so no matter what machine you view from it
    keeps the size and position the same.
    Any advice will be much appreciated.

    Hi
    You will have to place your code for the flash file inside the code for the picture frame. If you have used the picture frame as a background image then position your flash file using a combination of  css rules as required.
    Another way (if you have flash pro), is to use the picture frame as a skin for your flash file.

  • On Macintosh, Adobe Reader 9 don't read flash animations...

    Hello,
    Ive just downloaded Adobe reader 9 and, on my iMac INTEL 20"C2D under 10.5.4, and flash animations are not read.
    A right click on the site of animation says to me: "Animation unloaded", and that as well with Adobe Reader 9.0 or with Safari.
    In fact, the problem started about last spring with Adobe Reader 8, after an Apple security update...
    Ive contacted many times Adobe Hotline, without result.
    These animations are however read without problem under Windows or on my iMac G5 with an older system...
    Example, on this page: http://www.photologie.fr/indexStirLed.html, one sees a flash animation in top, on the right.
    Once converted into .pdf file: http://www.photologie.fr/stirling/fichierspdf/StirLed.pdf , this flash animation is not visible any more, and the message "Put in buffer memory" appears in bottom on the right...
    There is paradoxical that Adobe insists on the facility of reading animations and videos with version 9!
    Do you have a solution?
    Thanks!

    I think that I have it: Adobe Flash Player 9 (9,0,115,0)
    Thanks

  • Center Flash Vertically in Browser

    I'm having a trouble centering my flash animation in the center of the page - verically. It centers horizontally but I can't get it to center vertically. How can I do this in either Flash or Dreamweaver?
    Thanks!

    Thanks for this, but it isn't working with what my client is looking for. He saw a site and wants it to center as it does, without scroll bar, etc. I'm not the best at terminology, so to help with any confusion that I wrote, here's the example that he wants to mimic.

  • Flash Animation not lined up with screen

    Hi,
    I am a complete newbie to dreamweaver and will try to
    explain. I have a flash animation that i can not get to be even on
    the screen during runtime. I am guessing with all my screwing
    around that i messed up the layout format or something. I read
    somewhere that in dreamweaver, i can go to window >workspace
    layout and then default. I do not have this default though.
    So I think what I am after is a way to reset the layout?
    Please help
    Thanks in advance.

    It's IE-only behaviour as a result of changes Microsoft made
    several
    years ago to their browser, regarding how Active Content
    (Flash, Quicktime
    etc)
    is handled, after losing a high profile court case.

  • Flash animation keeps looping

    Hi,
    I built a Flash animation which keeps looping. I am trying to get it to not loop
    at all and it refuses.
    Here is the code of the html page, as created by Flash CS5:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">
         <head>
              <title>animate_van</title>
              <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
              <style type="text/css" media="screen">
              html, body { height:100%; background-color: #d1d1d1;}
              body { margin:0; padding:0; overflow:hidden; }
              #flashContent { width:100%; height:100%; }
              </style>
         </head>
         <body>
              <div id="flashContent">
                   <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="940" height="116" id="animate_van" align="middle">
                        <param name="movie" value="animate_van.swf" />
                        <param name="quality" value="high" />
                        <param name="bgcolor" value="#d1d1d1" />
                        <param name="play" value="true" />
                        <param name="loop" value="false" />
                        <param name="wmode" value="window" />
                        <param name="scale" value="showall" />
                        <param name="menu" value="true" />
                        <param name="devicefont" value="false" />
                        <param name="salign" value="" />
                        <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
                        <!--[if !IE]>-->
                        <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="animate_van.swf" width="940" height="116">
                             <param name="movie" value="animate_van.swf" />
                             <param name="quality" value="high" />

                             <param name="play" value="true" />
                             <param name="loop" value="false" />
                             <param name="wmode" value="window" />
                             <param name="scale" value="showall" />
                             <param name="menu" value="true" />
                             <param name="devicefont" value="false" />
                             <param name="salign" value="" />
                             <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
                        <!--<![endif]-->
                             <a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash">
                                  <img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" />
                             </a>
                        <!--[if !IE]>-->
                        </object>
                        <!--<![endif]-->
                   </object>
              </div>
         </body>
    </html>
    The looping value is set to false above, also in Flash my publish settings are set to not loop.

    Assuming the animation is timeline based, then you need to place a stop(); command in the last frame of the timeline.

  • Make a Flash animation play only when it scrolls into view

    I am designing a very long page. There will be a flash animation at the bottom of the page. I want this animation to play only when the user scrolls down and this flash object comes into view. How do I do this? I am quite familiar with flash and actionscript, so I just need some pointers.
    I have seen that this is already being used for advertisements. If you visit www.amazon.com, there are ads that appear far below on the page. These ads play only when you scroll down and the ad appears within the browser window. This happens on many other sites as well.
    Many popular sites also use something like this. On CNN, try opening a new tab that loads a flash video. The video begins to play only when you actually go to that tab. Until you open the tab and the contents become visible in your browser window, the video doesn't start. How is this done?
    Thanks in advance,
      Kumar

    Hmmm ... It looks like Amazon doesn't always run ads. I will give another example.
    Take a look at http://digg.com/
    There is a 300x250 ad at the top of the right-column. Ignore that.
    In addition, there is a second 300x250 ad halfway down the page in the right column.
    This second 300x250 ad appears when you scroll down.
    The interesting thing is that the ad plays from the beginning when you first see it after scrolling down!
    Most flash ads run for 15 seconds. After that the animation stops. When you see this second 300x250 ad, you will find it at the beginning of its 15 second animation. It plays from the beginning even if you wait for some time before scrolling down. This means that the ad is waiting for you to scroll down before it begins to play.
    How is this done?
    Thanks.

  • Performance decrease with flash animation/games

    When I try to view embedded flash using firefox or safari, it seems to hog a ton of memory. It starts out at a reasonable ammount (usually ~300MB of Physical plus Virtual) but eventually it gets up to 1.39 GB (out of my 2.00 GB available). The whole system slows considerably and often crashes.
    I have noticed that the same flash animations work fine on my windows based PC with only 1 GB of physical memory. I have a 256 MB graphics card along with 2 GB of memory and a fast processor. Is there a way I can pipeline the system more to use the graphics chip rather than the memory or any software that might prevent this issue?
    Thank You

    Make sure you have the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player Software.
    Try running repair permissions from your HD and afterwards run +repair disk+ _from your software install DVD._

  • Flash animation doesnt work on smart phone?

    I created a flash animation for my website banner. When I open the site on my laptop it works completely fine, but it seems not to work when I browse the website using my smart phone. Is there anything I did wrong?
    Thank you!

    If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 4.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
    and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
    2. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
    from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password.
    3. Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
    Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
    Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    4. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    5. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
    from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    6. In the Safari preference window, select
    Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
    and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
