Center the down-level stage

How do you center the down-level stage, or add any css properties to it? I have the following code in composition ready but it does not center the down-level stage:

My regular composition is centered so I need the down-level stage to be centered as well. Thanks.

Hi there, not sure how to center the down-level stage from within Edge, but have you tried centering the div that holds your Edge project, using regular CSS outside of Edge?

I haven't tested this, but in your xxx_edge.js file, it looks like the stage background color is set here:

Try changing the last value in the rgba value from 1 to 0.

Down Level Stage disables other JQuery page elements

I have create a small Edge Animate animation that I'm trying to add to our home page. After getting everything running and working properly in IE9+, Chrome, Firefox and Safari I moved it from the development environment to our live site. Then I viewed it on an older machine running IE8 and the down level stage worked great, but it disabled a jquery image slider and a little custom jquery script I wrote to polite load an embedded youtube video. The only cusomization I did to the edge files was to remove the loader for the included version of JQuery so that it would run the on I call from Google instead. This prevent intial conflicts between already existing jquery elements on the page.
If anyone can help me figure out how to prevent this problem with the down level stage I'd appreciate it.

I understand what you're saying. I actually had to disable the loader that loads jquery in the edgePreload.js in favor of calling the same version from the google developer library. So that shouldn't effect it. I'm just wondering if there isn't something in the edgePreload.js that causes an overall shut down of any running JQuery.
To answer your question everything does work fine without animate content. It is only a probelm after in including animate content. I can't really send you all the files since it's work related, but aside from deleting the line that loads the JQuery in the edgePreload.js it's the same as the default. The slider we use is woothemes Flexslider in a standard implementation.

Down-Level Stage Question/Problem

Hi,
As I understand it, the down-level stage image should display when an Edge animation is viewed in a browser with Javascript disabled.
If that is correct, then it's not working for me, either in preview in browser from Edge Animate, or when published and used in a site built with Muse.
Tested with IE 9, FF 16.01, Opera 12.02 w/ JS disabled. In all cases, neither the animation nor the poster displayed.

but nothing there helps.
My animation is very simple; it uses just native ellipses, text using arial fonts, nothing special.
The poster image that I selected is present when I inspect the down-level stage.
Same problem occurs with a more complex animation.
Any ideas?

Hey wbaafs, the downlevel stage will not appear with JS disabled as it requires gathering information from the preloader.js file. However, you can manually mak your own fallback by using the noscript tag:

Changing number formats is not in Keynote, but in the OS X System Preferences, in the International Preferences.

Why does line-height revert in my down-level stage?

When I set "line-height" on text to 25px inside my down-level stage, it reverts to 17px upon saving. Is there a way to keep it from reverting?

Where are the accessibility options for the "Down-Level" items

I have an animation I've created (that I haven't cleared with my client yet, so I, unfortunately, cannot share a link). However, the client is government and there is a strict requirement for 508 compliance or "Accessibility." I have been able to get alt tags throughout the main animation with no problems and tabindexing too. The agency is still using IE8 with Chrome as their solution to newer HTML5 content. Because of this we have experienced that most will look at the product in IE8 first. This brings me to requiring a "Down-Level" page. On this page I have placed an image with a description to upgrade, but the image MUST have an alt tag. How can I accomplish this? There is no Accessibility area in Down-level and in making varying entries to the "index_preloader.js" file I have been unsuccessful (I've tried title: '...', and alt: '...' and ['...'] and many other combinations. Please help!

Yes, the Distiller joboptions. We are using Distiller 9, 8, and 7 that comes with the Adobe Acrobat software. We are all on Windows XP and 7. I'm not very familiar with the joboptions, so I'm not an expert on how all of this works.
One writer said she is using the PDFX4 2007 job option, which appears to be the default with Framemaker 9. I think these files are hidden and only the customized options can be saved.

Can a down-level stage use an image map?

Just wondering if I can make a part of my down-level static image clickable using an image map?

I did finally figure this out... it is possible to map to an slp file from an image map... the trick has to do with how slp files work in RH,and makes sense, sort of, once I got it to work. When you generate html5, htm files are generated fromthe slps.
When you link to an slp file in a regular hyperlink, during the generation of the site, RH translates the slp refernce to the htm file reference that is generated from the slp. But for some reason, i.e., a bug IMHO, with an image map, when you link to an slp file, RH does not convert this slp reference to the .htm reference (as it does with normal, non-image map hyperlinks.
So the way to get this to work, is when you create the image map link, put in the htm file name that will be created during generation.

As far I know, the functionality of entering down payment in header will not allow you to post the DPR at header level, it has been given an option to enter the DPR as against at line item level available before.
Looking from a logical point of view, if a PO has more than one line item then then how to determine against which item the DPR has been entered, there may be line items with different delivery dates say one line item requires a down payment to be made, and the other doesn't and also it may come in much before than the item against which the DPR has been made, then it will be a mess for Finance to decide whether to pay for this item or balance the invoice against DPR.

Down-level Poster.png just a white box on IE8

Hi everyone,
I've created a very simple Edge Animate banner consisting of a background image and two layers of text that fade in, it shows up perfectly in everything except for (understandably) IE8 and I assume IE7, all I see is a white box.
I inserted the animation via Dreamweaver using Insert/Media/Edge Animate Composition, it went into a "mainbanner" div with CSS:

These code lines have been inserted into the <head> section of the Dreamweaver template and subsequent index.php page:

This code was applied to the "mainbanner" div by Dreamweaver after doing Insert/Media/Edge Animate Composition:

Don't know why the animation that has 1000px width has a width of 1020px shown in code when imported yet shows correctly as 1000px in the browser but hey!
I've checked that the down-level poster (Poster.png) I created has been linked to the animation; has been uploaded to the web server; is showing the appropriate static version of the animation but after one whole night of trying everything I can think of all I still get on IE8 is a white box!
Can someone please give me some help with this, many thanks in advance.

I've just made the Poster.png appear on IE8 by extending the CSS #mainbanner width to 1020px (despite the image being 1000px) and removing the padding temporarily. However two issues still remain:
The image is now not aligned with the header and footer so I need to insert padding again plus there is a still a white box behind the .png that I simply don't want!
At least I have made some progress since waking up this morning with a fresh head!
How can I remove the white box that looks like a placeholder behind the static png on IE8?

Is there a way to remove the notification center pull down?

My autistic son is obsessed with the notification center pull down, and can't focus on any apps. This has rendered the iPad useless for him!This has basically rendered the iPad useless for his educational purposes, and even his ability to concentrate on his favorite games. I realize this is a pretty unique issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a problem for at least a couple of other autistic kiddos out there? But even if my son is tho only kid wit this problem, I'm sure there must be other users out there who hate the fact that this pull down does not appear to be optional...
If anyone out there has found a way to turn this "feature" off, PLEASE pass some instructions my way! Thank you!

I found this workaround on Chris Calabreese's blog. First the setup:
Go to the Settings app. Select General, then Accessibility.
Scroll down to the very bottom and tap the Accessibility Shortcut option.
Tap the AssistiveTouch option so there is a check mark next to it. This should be the only option with a check mark; if not, un-check the other options.
Once that’s done, here’s how to disable the Notification and Command Centers. This can be done from the home screen or within any app:
Click the Home button three times in quick succession. A black square with a white dot will appear on the screen. Tap it once.
A menu with several options will open. Tap the Home option three times in quick succession. The menu will disappear.
Your Notification and Command Centers should now be disabled. Try swiping down from the top of the screen and swiping up from the bottom to verify.
NOTE: I’ve discovered this method has one undesirable side effect. When Notification Center has been successfully disabled, your device will no longer sleep automatically. Your device’s battery will drain quickly if you’re not aware of this. If you want to disable Notification Center on a long-term basis, you will need to remember to manually put your device to sleep when you’re not using it by hitting the Sleep/Wake button. This effect is only temporary; if you re-enable the Notification Center (as outlined below), the device will sleep automatically once again. Because of this, I would recommend disabling Notification Center only when you really need to (when playing a game, for example), then re-enable it when you’re finished.
If you wish to enable them again, here’s how:
Click the Home button three times in quick succession. The black square with a white dot will appear; this time ignore it.
Click the Home button again three times in quick succession. The black square with a white dot will disappear and your Notification and Command Centers should be working again.

I have been editing my films and spent hours fixing the audio levels. Everytime I close and re-open final cut audio levels go back down.

I have been busy editing my film and for the third time now, i have been correcting my audio levels with each clip - this takes me hours - and everytime I go back to the project, the audio levels fall back down. So everything i did previously was a waste of time.
Does anyone have the same issue? Is there anything I am doing wrong here?

Gosh, that sounds aweful close to the same problem people are experiencing with the undo bug. They don't know their having a problme until they hit Command+Z to undo their last change, and they can't, the undo command is actually grayed out in the menu. I understand if this happens, X is not auto saving your changes either. So, the next time you make all of your changes, check to see if your undo command is grayed out from the menu. If it is, duplicate your project to force a manual save. Then Quit X and reopen it and insure you project is intact.
