Getting the exact same error when trying to instantiate an applet over https with IE6, using 1.4.1_03, anyone got round this???

EPCF and https problem...

I have a problem with the EPCF. I have a page with the iViews: header, main view and footer. Some times, when the main view changes, the header changes too. And there is the problem:
- When I use it and open the Portal in http session, everything run ok!!!
- However, when I open the Portal in https session, the main view disappears (or minimize).
Can anybody help me? Does anybody know if I can use EPCF with https session?

SA520W - ProtectLink and https problems

Hello Everybody,
We have a SA520W (firmware : 2.1.71) which works perfectly, and we've installed ProtectLink Web licence last week.
When we use URL filtering on port 80 there are no problem. URLs which are indicated in the section "Blocked URLs" are not accessible and URLs which are indicated in the section "Approved URLs" are accessible.
But, and this is the problem, when I use URL filtering on ports 80 and 443 (https), all https addresses are blocked. There are aparently no way to allow some URLs when port 443 is filtered. in fact none of the URLs indicated in the section "Approved URLs" works.
Is there a way to fix this ?

Hi Florian, my name is Haider and I am part of the Small Business Support Community. I tried to replicate your network and discovered that there is two ways to manage URL filtering. One is through the ProtectLink tab and the other is through the Firewall tab of the GUI. I would like to suggest to make sure that these two are not in conflict with each other. Since you have the ProtectLink license, I would recommend using that. I would reset the settings for the Content Filtering under the Firewall tab if they are meant to do the same thing. I hope you find this information useful.

DeployJava.js and HTTPS Problem

I'm using the following code for my applet:

</script>The applet is hosted on https://mysite.com/myfile.jsf, when a user that has never had Java installed on his machine goes to my applet page it takes him to the Sun Java download page. After wards the user is taken to:

This is obviously an invalid link and instead should go back to the original URL. This does not happen and works correctly if the server is using http instead of https. Any ideas on how this can be fixed?

Cisco ISE NDES EAP and HTTP certificates from different CA

Hi guys, hope this is something you can help with…
2 x ISE 1.2 (patch 5) 3415 appliances with hostnames webproxy1.customerdomain.com and webproxy2.customerdomain.com
AD integration with customerdomain.local
Guest authentication (CWA) using a separate interface on the ISE appliance (Gigabit 1) routing into its own VRF for isolation
Corporate authentication is using EAP-TLS which is working fine
BYOD using NSP with SCEP for iPads only at this stage using NDES on <customerdomain.local>
I have installed a signed GlobalSign server certificate for HTTPS for guests (with SAN fields webproxy1.customerdomain.com and webproxy2.customerdomain.com)
I have also installed a signed server certificate from the customer's CA for EAP (with CN of psn.customerdomain.local and SAN fields psn.customerdomain.local , webproxy1.customerdomain.com and webproxy2.customerdomain.com)
The issue I have is if the two certificates are assigned for EAP and HTTP respectively the NSP process fails to generate a certificate though SCEP to the NDES server.
As soon as I use the same internally signed certificate for HTTP and EAP it works, this then causes a problem with the HTTPS certificate being trusted by guests.
This does not work with the GlobalSign certificate being used for both HTTPS and EAP, only the internal one works.
Can you confirm if it is a valid design to have the ISE use one certificate for HTTPS and another for EAP signed by different CAs, it appears it has to be the internal CA used in the SCEP process to work.

I have now tested this with a test HTTP cert signed by a public CA and an EAP cert signed by my internal and SCEP works fine. I am wondering if this is a certificate tier length issue. My working example has a RootCA->IssuingCA->Cert. It fails with a cert with a 3-tier heirarchy RootCA->IntermediateCA->IssuingCA->Cert.
Can anyone confirm this works on other deployments with a 3-tier certificate chain with SCEP?

Problems with certificate and signed jad

I have a third party jar and jad which is signed as far as I can tell.
When I run the jad under the phone emulator.exe I get the text below
Is there something I need to do.
Perhaps to do with keystores etc.
I can install the jar and the application runs but keeps asking for permission to open etc.

I got the Thawte certificates and after loading just about every one it stopped complaining about the issuer.
How ever it then started on about not autorized for API.
So I gave up in disgust and went back to the the 2.xx toolkit.
This worked out the box.

Keychain Problem. Certificates and Passwords are not remembered.

Every time my macbook comes back from sleep I have to enter in all the passwords for each application. iChat, Mail even my wireless network wep key. It doesn't remember any passwords. Also websites aren't displayed correctly. They have missing images and forms are unreadable. When I open up Safari's activity window there is a bunch of server certificates not valid problems. I can't use facebook, pandora player doesn't load because the server certificate is not valid, ebay, any site with a form is impossible to use. It happens in firefox and safari. My PC opens the pages perfectly. I think this all has to do with keychain. Any ideas?

Finally solved the problem. I feel like an idiot. I had the date set to 2005 on my mac causing problems. It didn't remember any password, network key lost every time it woke from sleep, and had "server certificate not valid" problems with almost every website. Set date to current date and all problems went away.

OPMN and HTTP server problem

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Application Server Infrastructure on RHEL 3, I Managed the connect the OID with database repository on another server..
But the installation failed at OPMN configuration assistant-start HTTP server!
I continued the installation anyway and used configToolCommands to configure the rest of the required tool, so now every thing is configured well exept for the (OPMN configuration assistant-start HTTP server)
in the installation log file, this was what I found:

try this...there might be a port conflict with webcache and Http.
if you do not need webcache..stop it and start http.
opmnctl stopproc ias-component=Webc{C}ahe
opmnctl startproc ias-component=HTTP_Server
i am positive it will be port conflict. try running your http in a different port.

I would imagine that at school, you're required to connect through an HTTP proxy.
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. Enter the proxy settings given to you by the network administrator. Click OK and then Apply.
You may wish to create separate network locations for home and school. See the built-in help for instructions.

Install https certificate and Connect to an alias URL

I have IDM 7.1 installed on Windows and MS SQL and its working fine.
My requirement is to access IDM with easyURL (instead of having port no: 500000/idm...).
an alias name has been created. Now i want to install https certificate and then want to connect to the alias URL.
I have got the https port number also.
would you please help me as to exactly how to install th https certificate to the alias URL.

HTTP and HTTPS connections time out--only one computer on the LAN has this problem. Also affects Internet Explorer

For the last few days HTTP and HTTPS connections on one computer on my LAN usually time out or fail to load completely. This also affects Internet Explorer on the same machine, but email, FTP, etc. seem to be working normally. The URLs that do not load in the browsers ping normally, and load normally on another machine on the same LAN. Running Firefox in Safe Mode does not help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.
