Certificate issuer not recognised

One of our suppliers has a valid certificate, but Firefox seems to decide for itself if one is valid or not. This is a blocking(!) issue for our company, since the site affected is one of our main suppliers!
The supplier verified it, but certificates from GlobalSign are rejected. There is _no way_ around this. Even a manual import is blocked as Firefox declares the certificate invalid. I cannot add an exception since Firefox decides on that specific screen that the certificate is valid all of a sudden, but still keeps blocking(!) the page. Do I really have to install _any_ other browser to access our supplier? Anyone from the FireFox team to comment on this?

The "TeleSec ServerPass CA 1" is listed as the second certificate in the certificate chain that you see on the www.networking4all.com web page.

You can copy the text that starts with "-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----" and ends with "-----END CERTIFICATE-----" to the clipboard after having selected it with the mouse.
Then you can open a plain text editor like Notepad and paste the certificate text of the intermediate certificate that you have placed on the clipboard in the editing area. 
Use "Save File as" and set the File type to "All files" and save this certificate file to TeleSecServerPassCA1.cer 
Selecting "All files" should avoid getting a hidden .txt file extension (TeleSecServerPassCA1.cer.txt) 
Import the saved certificate in the Certificate Manager. 
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Certificates/Encryption: View Certificates > Authorities > Import
Do not set any trust bits when prompted as those are only required for root certificates and should never be set for a intermediate certificate like this one.

Osx 10.6.8 m audio midi keyboard issue, not recognised

after updating the OS to the latest snow leopard i'm no longer able to use my midi keyboard (M-AUDIO Radium 61 usb powered)
i'm using an M-Audio fast track pro usb external audio device and when i plug the midi cable, coming from the keyboard, none of my softwares recognise it (Logic pro, Ableton, Reason).
the monitor led for the midi signal is flashing indicating that signal is received but no signal at all seems to be sent to the OS.
i initially thought it might have been the audio device driver: outdated for the running osx (audio ins and outputs where behaving correctly anyway) and did update it. No changes
i've also downloaded the latest keyboard's drivers (for osx 10.6.8 32bit), wich seemed superfluous to me since i'm using it via midi cable only, with no results.
Tried by repairing disk permissions as well in disk utility (just in case..)
tried my devices on a diffrent macbook installing an older version of snow leopard and they're doing theyr job properly
tried using a Midi to USB cable converter instead (was working on the other computer)
i don't have (i'm not sure at least) a backup for the previous osx upgrade to restore (is there a way to find out what version of the os is backed up within time machine?)
any help will be highly appreciated

PS Elements activation issue (not recognising this laptop)

My copy of Photoshop Elements 9 is installed in my laptop and my partner's. It has rarely been used on hers but she tried to open it and it is saying it can't be activated as the serial number is already in use on two machines. This IS one of the machines it is activated on. It is telling me to deactivate it elsewhere but the only other place it has been installed is my laptop. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? "The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided" error in all browsers for all websites.

As it says, Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer all give the certificate error message for any and every website attempted - including the Firefox add-ons page. The specific error is the "no issuer chain was provided".
1) This problem is not on my computer - it is on my mother's computer in another city. Therefore, I cannot attempt every little possibility without flying over there - I'm looking for things I can tell her to do over the phone. The problem started today. I've already given her the list of anti-malware programs to go install and run from here:

Note that, of course, she will have to accept the security certificate override to get to these things - I hope this isn't bad.
2) The problem started after she tried to use Skype, it hung for a very long time and would never log on. So she tried to reinstall it - and she said she clicked through a number of agreement screens and believes she may have installed malicious 3rd party software. This is ridiculous, is Skype now putting malware on people's computers through these bogus 3rd party add-ons at installation? I suppose it is possible Skype was hanging because of some other problem - but she did manage to reinstall Skype and got it to work (but now her internet certificates won't).
3) She has BitDefender. I am aware that it says here:

that she should turn off SSL scanning. She turned it off, it did not solve the problem. She turned it off and restarted, it did not solve the problem. She has had it on for the past 6 months and it has never caused a problem.
4) In addition, BitDefender reported today that it stopped a malicious program called MySearchDial.exe from attempting something it shouldn't. We went through this removal guide:

however, the software MySearchDial was never actually installed into the windows install list, and we did not find any addons/plugins in any of the browser lists (note that Firefox add-ons cannot be accessed with a certificate error, it gives the error message but DOES NOT give you the option to add an exception so you can't access the add-ons). The only thing we found was (a) MySearchDial was default in the IE search engine list, despite there being no add-on, and (b) MySearchDial.exe was in the temp folder (now deleted). I note that I had BitDefender scan the temp folder *before* I deleted MySearchDial.exe, and it claimed no threats were found. What? It was BitDefender that warned me of it in the first place!
5) Time and date are correct.
6) Checked the Win 7 install log, only Skype, Skype Click-to-Call, and (for some reason) Mircosoft Visual Studio 2010 and Visual C++ were installed or altered today. I got paranoid about Click-to-call and asked her to uninstall it, but it didn't solve the problem.
7) The OS is Win7 64bit Home.
Anything beyond endless Malware removal programs (via list linked above) that we should try?

The only way to know what is going on is to retrieve the certificate and check who is the issuer. 
It is always possible that the server doesn't send the full certificate chain (intermediate certificates), so it might help to post a link to this website
Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section. If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.

How do i deal with 'security certificate' issues on my iPad2? I'm unable to answer the security questions that pop up when Im trying to download an app because the pop up does not load properly...

Basically my Ipad2 stopped allowing me to go to sites such as Tumblr a little while ago. It wouldn't display the page properly because of 'security certificate' issues. This in itself would not have been such a problem, but when I went to the App store to try and download the Tumblr App, a pop up appeared asking me to answer some security questions before I could successfully install the App. However, the pop up would not display correctly because of 'security certificate' issues and as a result I can't download any apps from the App Store. Can anyone help with this??

I am trying to perform the same function in Lr that I have been doing for many years in the past and has only been a problem in the last few days (possibly coinciding with upgrading to Yosemite, trying to find out whether that is the problem)
I am not intending to sync any files with Creative Cloud but only trying to use 'Synchronize Folder' function in Lr. Normally, I would right click on a particular folder in Lr catalogue and click on that function to check that the Lr Catalogue is perfectly matching my drives where the original photos are actually stored.
The problem that I only started to encounter is that I can see the files on the actual drives but they do not appear in my Lr Catalogue and they are completely invisible to Lr. I simply can not get Lr to recognise them and then import them to catalogue.
If for example, I export images to Ps and then save and close them, they do appear on my drive but are invisible to Lr and I can't get them imported into the catalogue. Import to folder also not producing any results as they are still invisible to Lr.
Completely baffled by it. Any idea what could be the reason?

You don't need an app. You need couple's counseling. I believe what you want to do may also be illegal in many jurisdictions.

Why am I now having certificate issues with Firefox but not IE?

I can no longer log into Gmail, Facebook, Amazon, etc... using Firefox. I get the following error "accounts.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)". It works with IE but not Firefox. * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Having issues with NKO (Navy Knowledge online). The main site is a trusted site but you try to login with cac or go to links with in like E-learning it says the certificates are not trusted

Not recognising USB card reader and also PhotoBooth issue

Hi,
I'm a new member and a bit of a numpty when it comes to Mac (new owner).
My Macbook Pro is giving me some grief tonight and I have 2 separate (i think) issues.
It will not recognise my USB card reader. It worked fine last week and I did eject it properly before removing it. I've tried the card reader on a PC and it is working fine....
Also when I go to open Photo Booth it tells me that my camera is not connected or in use by another program. But as you know the camera is built in!?!?!
I'd be very grateful for any thoughts on how I might fix the problems. The nearest Mac store is 2 hours away....

These are all certs from static.addons.mozilla.net. Even if I add a security exception it does not help

Do you have something like BrowserSafe, Browser Safeguard, or Safeguard installed on your machine?
If so, get rid of it.

This is my website, and I've installed the certificate 2 month ago. I didn't check it using Firefox until now.
Firefox enter all other HTTPS website. All other browser entering my https domain with no warning.
Tested on 2 different machines:
Ubuntu - Firefox not working, Chrome - working fine (without any warning)
Mac - Firefox not working, Safari - working fine (without any warning)
I've tried the solutions described here:

I'm downloaded the EssentialSSLCA certificate and import it into firefox using:
Advanced > View certificate > Authorities > import
Didn't check any checkbox there.
