Cfmail w/attachments issues

Hi there,
I have a basic html form where the user can add attachments.
The action form uses cfmail to send an email to an address with the
form contents as well as the attachment. However, I am having
issues with this part and am at a loss. Do i need to do an upload
first? or mim attachment? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
My cfmail code looks like this:
<cfoutput>
<cfmail to="[email protected]"
from="a test person"
subject="Request for yada yada">
Name: #form.name#
Article: #form.text#
<cfmailparam file="#form.file1#"> (If i actually put
in /tmp/test.txt which is a file on the drive i am mapped to, then
the cfmail works and delivers .. but this doesn't help me for other
people and their attachments)
</cfmail>
</cfoutput>
This never goes to the email address.. instead it goes to
undeliverable with this log. (p.s. I use my actual email address
for the 'to')
body: Name: test
body: Article: t3est
body: Files:
/engines/coldfusionmx7/runtime/servers/coldfusion/SERVER-INF/temp/wwwroot-tmp/neotmp40024 .tmp

  • JSPWiki - Attachments - issue with IE browser

    Hello,
    We are having issues with uploading and downloading attachments using JSPWiki using IE browser.
    It works perfectly with Netscape/Mozilla/Flock browsers.
    jspwiki.properties -> we set the following attributes:
    jspwiki.baseURL = http://localhost:8888/JSPWiki
    jspwiki.referenceStyle=relative
    jspwiki.attachmentProvider =BasicAttachmentProvider
    jspwiki.basicAttachmentProvider.storageDir =C:\\Data\\jspwiki\\NewJSPWiki
    With the above settings, when using IE browser, it still uses absolute path when file is uploaded and shows href'd attachment name with target as:
    http://chq006103:8888/JSPWiki/attach/JSPWiki%20Welcome/C%3A%5Cinnovatorlille93.jpg
    Whereas in Mozill and other browsers - it correctly shows href'd relative url:
    http://localhost:8888/JSPWiki/attach/JSPWiki%20Welcome/innovatorlille93.jpg
    When we upload a file, it is uploaded under the full name (the full absolute path of the file (from C:\.....<filename>)) - only when we use IE browser.
    This does not happen with the other 2 browsers.
    Thus, we are unable to download the file.
    Any immediate help is highly appreciated!
    Thanks!

  • Cfmail mulitiple attachments?

    This isn't working... please advise. I need to attach
    mulitiple documents.....
    <cfmail to="#t.email#"
    subject="Purchase"

    password="hdfd"
    username="purchase.request"

    Request-#session.purchaserequestid#.pdf"
    > <cfmailparam file =
    "D:\filespload\#session.filename1#" >
    </cfmail>

    You can use multiple cfmailparam tags inside your cfmail to
    attach multiple files. You might try removing the mimeattach
    attribute and use cfmailparam for all your attachments.

  • The whole saving message attachments issue has me ready to bail to Android!

    Why has this issue not been fixed yet? I am sick of my phone constantly filling up because someone thought it would be a great idea to save attachments I send as a seperate file that I apparently can not get rid of short of restoring ti factory new everytime it gets full. I have tried Phoneclean, deleting them al then backing up and every other thing I can find. If Apple wants to have it as a feature then how hard would it be to put a selection in the settings to turn it off.

    "Delete a message. Touch and hold a message or attachment, tap More, select more if desired, then tap . To delete all text and attachments without deleting the conversation, tap Delete All."
    "Delete a conversation. In the Messages list, swipe the conversation from right to left, then tap Delete."
    Yea, that's about the most useless information possible seeing as how they never really delete and jsut come back. Don't think read the manual is a bit useful when even Apples support don't know how to do it aside from restore to factory default.

  • Orchestrator Exchange Mail IP - Get Attachments Issue

    Hello,
    I have a problem with the Exchange Mail IP from https://scorch.codeplex.com/releases/view/87100.
    I've created an runbook that "Read Mail From Folder", then it "Get Attachments". This is working BUT not when I add a filter to the activity in order to get only the XLS.
    Let's say when someone send a mail with a signature and also an attachment, the activity download the png file with the excel file, I just want it to download a specific attachments. It is also not working if I add a filter with the exact name of the file.
    This is the same issue as stated here https://scorch.codeplex.com/discussions/551696#post1275422 by seidlm
    Any ideas ?
    Regards,

    Hello Greg,
    I'm doing something like this already, I can use more steps to do what I want, but the fact is that the filters are not working properly for me and other. I was expecting someone to come here with the answer as the author did not reply yet.
    I can do GetAttachments to get all the files, check folder for specifics extensions, move the expected files to an other folder or delete the unexpected files from the folder.

  • Mavericks attachments issues.

    Hi all, Ive just upgraded to Mavericks but am now having some issues with adding attachments to emails or even posting pictures to FB.  When I try to add and the 'search for file' finder box comes up the layout is very different and not very functional and some documents which should be available to attach are not.  'Tile' view displays nothing at all ??  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  It actually 'feels' like a fault but I definitely rule out stupidity on my part.

    I was having this problem too, with Apple mail, facebook, anything that required me to attach or upload after upgrading to Mavericks...I went to my user settings and noticed that my account, which is an admin account, said "admin, managed" and the parental controls were enabled.  the only was I was able to change this was to create another admin account, log in to that account and remove the parental controls on MY admin account.  log off, go back to original account and delete other admin.  it won't show any files if the view is in icon view so switch it to list and it should show everything.  I also can't attach anything that is in my downloads folder.  not sure if that is a new thing with Mavericks or if it's always been that way.  no problems since, knock on wood, but I just figured this out last night.  I also repaired permissions before I figured out the admin problem, that allowed me to attach SOME files, but not all.  try to admin thing, hopefully it works for you!
    Reply back to me here and let me know if this worked for you!

  • MMS attachments issues?

    Has anyone had any problems with not seeing or being able to download attachments sent via MMS to a Galaxy Nexus? I am not referring to pictures, but a vcf file (contact info) specifically.
    I was sent three MMS messages (from an iPhone 4S) and according to the icon at the notification line they had attachments. All three were delivered blank. I actually watched the third one come in and briefly saw the download option. Which quickly disappeared.
    I know that originally I had wifi on when the first message came in and quickly turned it off and the 4G LTE signal became active.

    Hi Ann154,
    I have not seen this issue with vcf files before but, I understand the importance of being able to import/open these files. Since all messages are being sent by an iPhone 4S (as per your post) it may be that the iPhone is processing the file in a way/format that is conflicting with your Android phone. While Verizon Wireless does not recommend/support any third party applications, I would personally recommend to try Handcent (free SMS/MMS application) and see if this resolves the issue as I have been using this application for years on all my Android phones and it handles all SMS/MMS files very well.
    I trust that my suggestion resolves the vcf files issue. Keep us posted.

  • CUP Attachments issue - Please help

    Hello All,
    I have successfully configured the "Attachments" folder in CUP. I used a directory of the GRC server which is a Unix path ("/usr/sap/grc_data"). When I am uploading the file from my local PC (e.g.:"D:\My documents\Test.doc"), the uploaded file is listed as "D:\My documents\Test.doc" but not as "Test.Doc". Also, I could not open the file from the Attachments folder when I clicked on it. I was able to find a workaround for this by replacing "\" with "/" in the path while uploading.  Now, the uploaded file list  shows only the file name now and also I can download the file by clicking on it.
    However, it is a pain to replace slashes every time during the file uploads and end-users may not be happy with that workaround. Is there any easy fix to this issue?
    Please help
    Thanks
    Anand

    I am also facing the same issue and I raised the OSS message for it. SAP has provided the solution in SP 12 release don 28th May, 2010.

  • BPM 11G comments and file attachments issue on human tasks

    Hi all,
    We have used JDeveloper 11G and SOA suite 11G + BPM (with PS1,PS2) to create and deploy a simple BPM process. The process consists of two swim-lanes ( Business Analyst and Snr Executive). The BA swim-lane has a human task which which initiates the process and the second swim-lane (SE) has a voting task. Both forms were auto generated.
    ------ Process steps ----
    step 1. The initiator of the process( Business analyst) submits a document and adds comments on the form. (1st swim lane)
    step 2. The task is received by the Snr Executive group and they need to accept or reject the document.
    step 3. If any of the Snr Execs rejects the document, the process flow goes back to the Business analyst(the requester or initiator) for review.
    (the voting group is able to share comments and the file attachments).
    step 4. The business analyst receives a task on her list. This task list should have the comments made by the Snr Execs who rejected the document. ---This is where we are having a problem. The business Analyst, receives the task, but the document and comments are not updated. This still shows the original document and comments, she sent when initiating the process.
    We have opened a SR with My Oracle support and it was suggested we apply a hot fix 9958661, which was done (see output below). Unfortunately this did not solve the problem.
    Questions:
    1. Is the default behavior of BPM 11G ?
    2. How can we change this behavior to do what we want ?
    ---------------------------------------opatch update output -----------------------------------------------------------
    ApplySession adding interim patch '9958661' to inventory
    Verifying the update...
    Inventory check OK: Patch ID 9958661 is registered in Oracle Home inventory with proper meta-data.
    Files check OK: Files from Patch ID 9958661 are present in Oracle Home.
    The local system has been patched and can be restarted
    I any suggestions would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Mocheche

    Ok, this is what i did:
    - I have a Process Data Object called CustomComments with just 1 attribute called comments.
    - I have added that object to my user screens (adf page)
    - Changed its columns att to 65 and rows to 8 (i chose that layout)
    - Used a tableLayout to add an icon next to this text area to allow the user to add comments:
    <af:commandImageLink shortDesc="addCommentImage" id="addCommentImage" partialSubmit="true" icon="/hw_images/new_ena.png">
         <af:clientListener method="myFunction" type="click"/>
         <af:clientAttribute name="attributeName" value="attributeValue"/>
    </af:commandImageLink>
    I use that clientAttribute to send the logged user to the javascipt.
    - I added this after the af:document on top of the page to make the customComments readonly to the user (you need to do it here because if you set it in the properties the element is not updated later), so the user has to use the button i put to add comments:
    <f:facet name="metaContainer">
         <f:facet name="metaContainer">
         <af:resource type="javascript">
              function readOnly(){
                   var comms = document.getElementById("it1::content");
                   comms.setAttribute("readOnly","true")
         </af:resource>
    </f:facet>
    <af:clientListener method="readOnly" type="load"/>
    - Somewhere i added the javascript the commandLink calls:
    <trh:script id="myScripts">
         function addComment(evt){
              var commentArea = document.getElementById("it1::content");
    var user = evt.getSource().getProperty("user");
    var comm = prompt("Please enter your comment: ","");
              if (comm != null) {
                   if (comm != ""){
                        if (commentArea.value !=""){commentArea.value = commentArea.value + "\n"}
                        commentArea.value = commentArea.value + "user.value" + " : " + comm;
    </trh:script>
    After all this, you have an object that carries the comments from one screen (UI project) to another and is updated each time.
    I know it may not be the perfect solution and that it could be improved a lot, but so far it does what i need so i use it.
    If there is anything i wasnt clear enough, please let me know. Hope this helps.

  • Drag and Drop Multiple attachments issue

    I'm having trouble with Mail - when I receive an email with multiple attachments, I like to drag and drop them into the folder short cuts that appear on the left of the finder windows. When I go to that folder later on the attachments aren't there, but their is a text file. The text file name is "yyyy". The number of "y" characters corresponds the number of attachments that I drag their. Has any one had this trouble before. I have done a total reinstall of the system on to a clean hard drive, and it is still happening. The G5 Dual 2.3 was new in Dec 05.
    (this is my first posting, so please be patient if I'm not doing this correctly)
    Cheers Andy

    Andy, the safer way would be to press the Save button that is in the header of your email and then select the folder where you want it saved.

  • Mail Attachments Issue

    Hi guys, I'm using gmail and I'm both a pc and a mac user, now on my Imac I've got on library/mail/IMAP all the attachments of my gmail account.
    I don't ever use the apple mail app so can I delete this files to save some free space on the HD or I would delete the files in gmail aswell ?
    Thank You, Nicolò

    It is a bug of Safari 5 (better said of WebKt)
    See this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2453797&tstart=0
    There you will find workaround by using a 3rd party application
    There are other workarounds like using the Perl module sendEmail or 3rd party osax XMail
    Or simply convert the outgoing email to plain text before sending it

  • Mail.app and attachments issues after security update

    Hi there
    just installed latest security update (via software update) and now when i try to attach any file to an email, I get the spinning beach ball.
    have tried rebooting and zapping the pram
    anyone experienced similar or have an idea what might have happened?
    cheers
    ben

    Hi ben.
    This could be caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services -- the notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved:
    Resetting Launch Services
    If you prefer using a cache cleaning utility instead of following the manual procedure described in the previous article, this other article provides links to some utilities that can be used for troubleshooting and cache cleaning:
    Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
    It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner, but you may also want to consider other utilities, such as OnyX, or Cache Out X, which are free. Whatever utility you choose, be sure to read this first:
    Side effects of System cache cleaning
    As an example, this is how you should proceed with OnyX:
    1. Quit all applications.
    2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
    3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
    4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you wish.
    5. Click the Execute button.
    6. Restart the computer.

    you have hit bull's eye...!!
    After playing around a little more, I think I might have misinformed you a little.  If you explicitly tell it a string, it looks for the string length at the very beginning and reads that length of bytes as a string.  It appears that if you implicitly tell it to read a string (not wire the data type) it reads all of the bytes directly, including the length of string you wrote.
    Regardless, my advice is the same.  You should just write and read using byte array.  It is less conversions if you are performing your "encryption".

    FND_LOBS stores information about all LOBs managed by the Generic File Manager (GFM).
    Each row includes the file identifier, name, content-type, and actual data. Each row also
    includes the dates the file was uploaded and will expire, the associated program name and
    tag, and the language and Oracle characterset.
    The file data, which is a binary LOB, is stored exactly as it is uploaded from a client browser,
    which means that no translation work is required during a download to make it HTTP compliant.
    Therefore uploads from non-browser sources will have to prepare the contents
    appropriately (for instance, separating lines with CRLF).
    The program_name and program_tag may be used by clients of the GFM for any purpose,
    such as striping, partitioning, or purging the table if the program is de-installed.
    They are otherwise strictly informative.
    These columns and the expiration date are properly set when the
    procedure FND_GFM.CONFIRM_UPLOAD is called. If not called, the column
    expiration_date remains set, and will eventually be purged by the procedure

    FND_DOCUMENTS_LONG_RAW stores images and OLE
    Objects, such as Word Documents and Excel
    spreadsheets, in the database. If the user elects
    to link an OLE Object to the document, this table
    stores the information necessary for Oracle Forms
    to activate the OLE server, and it saves a
    bit-mapped image of the OLE server's contents.
    If the user does not elect to link an OLE Object,
    the entire document will be stored in this table.
    FND_DOCUMENTS_LONG_TEXT stores information about
    long text documents.
    FND_DOCUMENTS_SHORT_TEXT stores information about
    short text documents.
