Change Color of OTL Time Entry Warning Messages

We are using time entry rules in OTL and in some cases have warnings instead of errors. The warning message shows up in blue so it is barely visible on the timecard. Is there an easy way to change the color of the warning message?
Thanks in advance.

These colors are based on standard BLAF standards used in oracle apps. You will have to use CLAF Customizing Look-and-Feel. Check OAF personalization guide.

XmlBeans, at least the version I'm working with now, doesn't support version 3 of the Document Object Model (DOM). I don't know what operations were introduced in DOM 3, but I guess you're trying to use one of them. What worked for me is to copy the Document into a DocumentBuilder that does support DOM 3, such as the JDK's own builder, and work with the copy. This should be all right if the document is not too large. The following URL has the details:

Moving a rectangle or change color in "Run-Time "?
I want to develop a mini SCADA application, where I have to do some animations usingsimple objects like Shapes.

Yes, it is possible to modify decorations in runtime. An example is below.
As you can see, you just need to get a reference to the front panel containing the decoraitions, and then use the Decos[] property to get an array of references to the decorations. These can be passed to a property node.
Unfortunately, the decorations cannot be given a unique identifier, such as a label. So if you have multiple decorations, it can be tricky to modify the properties of a specific one. If you are only dealing with one shape, this won't be an issue. One roundabout way to pick out a particular decoration would be to search through the array references until you find the one with matching size and location on the front panel. Alternatively, you could use a disabled control, such as a boolean push button with no caption, and refer to that directly.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to change color of background and font in Message Boxes

I have a req, where I have to display a warning message for certain condition. I did that using pagecontext.putDialogMessage(msg).
But the business wants to have the displayed message in a more bright color. I didn't come across any documentation on how to change the background and font of a Message Box. Can you please help me out in solving this issue ??

    user597481 ,
    Here are my responses:
For displaying a warning message, putDialogMessage takes only an OAException bean.
OAException is a java class and not a java bean.I'm not clear on how to use a OARawTextBean to display a warning message. I tried looking thru dev guide but still am not clear on how to do it.
    >>
1)Add a raw text bean in pagelayout region at the top.
    2) Now in ur code whenever u need to throw exception, set some page parameter say xxx=true and then, use pageContext.redirectToCurrentPage
that will redirect the flow to process request.3)In process request based on page parameter xxx=true, u can get exception message and use setValue in raw text bean to show it.
    I hope this is clear

  • Time Machine Warning Message

I have an external HD that I use for my Time Machine backups. I keep the drive in a fireproof safe when it is not plugged in, which is 99.9% of the time. The problem I have is that every 10 days I get a warning message that Time Machine hasn't completed a back-up in a while. The Mac Mini I use is my media center PC. I really only need to back it up when I add media to it. If I don't add any media to my library, there is no need to back anything up. Is there any way to lengthen the amount of time between getting these warnings to something like 30 days? It's a mild pain having to pull the drive out and let it run a backup when I haven't added anything to my media library.
    Thanks!

Bummer. That's often the reason I plug it in- just to stop the warning messages. The only other time I plug it in is if I add media or anything else I want to have backed up. Our Mac Mini runs 24/7 as our DVR (eyeTV) and media center feeding our appleTV's and ipod's and iphone's. I control everything with a Harmony remote. It's a pain (especially for the wife or mother-in-law) to have to pull the keyboard out and acknowledge the warning message when they're just trying to watch TV. The warning message keeps coming back until I finally back it up. If I don't add any media or forget to plug the drive in again before the 10 days are up, the whole thing starts all over again.

  • OTL: Time Entry Rules

    Hello ,
Iam working on a requirement, in OTL time card entry from the oracle self service page.
If Employees work on Holidays then they are allowed to enter work Hours .
    Eg:
    Mon, 25 dec
    Regular: start 08:00
    stop 12:00
    hrs 04
    Holiday: start 08:00
    stop 17:00
    Hrs 8
Iam getting the Overlapping Error as 'This time overlaps another entry.' when trying to save the timecard.
Is there any way, I can override this Error.
Can anyone Please help on this ?
    thanks,
    Babu

    Ramesh,
OTL doesn't allow the over lapping entries, its one of the basic validations. But at the same time you can define OTL rules to configure this requirement which will automatically generate the holiday premium hours as per your requirement. There are many scenarios which you can configure to define the calculation of premium hours worked on holidays.

The time entry rules for your user are defined by the preferences.
These can be attached at a number of different levels.

  • Time Machine warning messages

One of my users received an error message that Time Machine has not backed up for 40 days. How do I configure the error
message warning frequency? To somethinfg like every day or once a week? She claims this is the first error message she has received.

I believe the warnings start at 10 days, and I know of no way to change that value. The TM menu item shows the date of the last backup, but you have to check it. The emphasis in TM's interface design is on simplicity, not configurability.

  • Time Machine warning message every other day?

I used to use a Time Capsule to with Time Machine for my backups. However, the next 6 months I will be traveling. In order to ensure that all my data is secure, I bought an external hard drive. I'm going to use this HDD for manual backups with Time Machine. However, I'm the kind of person who will forget to do this regularly.
Now does Time Machine give a warning if you haven't made a backup in 10 days. However, I would like to change these number of days from 10 to 2, just to be sure I won't lose any data.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance!

No, unfortunately. Many of us have asked for that, to no avail so far.

  • OTL Custom Formula not visible in Time Entry Rule window

    Hi Friends,
I have created a custom Fast Formula of type 'OTL Time Entry Rules'. Created a context with segments for the OTL Formulas Flex Field with formula name same as of the context. But the formula is not visible in the in the time entry rule window.
Can any one please suggest what is the reason for this?
    Many many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Check whether you have given the description for your custom Fast formula while defining the FF in the Write Formula screen.
Coz, In the Time Entry rules window you will see the description of the fast formula .
Though the description iss not a mandatory field while defining the FF in the Write Formula screen the time entry rule will take only the description of the FF instead of the FF Name.
Get beack to me if you need further info.
    Thanks,

  • OTL Self Service Error Message

We use OTL Timekeeper functionality for entering time, but want to switch to some Self Serve OTL time entry also. The error messages we are currently using work fine in OTL. The overtime rule goes out, validates the time entered, and returns an error apparopriately. When I try this in Self Service, I get the following errors:
The Oracle error is: ORA-20000: ORA-20001:ORA-20001: Formula KCI_JEAN_TEST_TOKEN: ORA-01403: no data found ORA-01403: no data found Cause: During the PL/SQL execution part, an Oracle error was detected. Action: Please refer to your system administrator..
I am unsure why. If I enter time in Timekeeper, it tells me I don't have enough regular time to charge overtime. However in self serve, I just get this weird message.
Ideas? I can post my entire fast formula (it calls a pl/sql function to do the actual verification that return any errors found to the fast formula) if you are interested.

I wrote this code to test the passing of Tokens and it works perfectly. The messages come out condensed into two messages with tokens.

    Default for MESG2 is ' '
    Default for MESG3 IS ' '
    Default for MESG4 IS ' '

    JEAN3 = ' '
    JEAN4 = ' '
    JEAN5 = 'JEAN LINE 5'

    /*******************END SAMPLE 1*******************************/
This one keeps returning the no data found error I listed up top whenever it runs. I'm not really understanding what the issue is though... obviously something with the KCI_OVERTIME_VALIDATION. However the KCI_OVERTIME_VALIDATION runs currently in the current fastformula and it works great without tokens. It returns message1..5 without an error and reads correctly. However as soon as I try and put it in here with tokens, it starts giving me the no data found errors.
Please note - this works great with Timekeeper, but in Self Service OTL it returns the error.

  • Can we change the color of the Warning Messages?

Hi, I had a requirement to change the Color of the warning messages to be in Red. Can somebody suggest on how to do this and also can we do this for one module specific?
    Thankyou

following statement would show the message in Red Color.
    throw new OAException("Warning Message",OAException.ERROR);
Use OAAttrValException if you want to highlight the particular field is wrong.

  • OTL Week End time Entry

    Hi
In the Time card if the employee enters the time on saturday or sunday is it possible to provide a waring message
I am not sure about the time entry rules if any one could provide some metalink notes or some document that would help me a lot
    Thanks for your time
    Regards
    Ramesh Kumar S

    Angelica,
Instead of forcing the user not to make an entry we are allowing a Weekly Off element, so that even those entries can be captured for future purpose eg: Claim of allowance for working on a week off day. Hence we are not forcing the user to not enter any time.If you consider the issue here, we are just concerned to show a warning on weekend hours entry. There is no requirement of capturing some different element or attribute.
I need a clarification, are you talking about the TimeCard web page, then we have tried personlization on it for display purpose, but hiding columns and changing titles..etcLet me know if you are not using the web based Time card and instead using the forms based card.
I'm talking about the web based Timecard only. On web based timecard, even to hide a column, you need to make changes to timecard layout LDT file and upload to DB using FNDLOAD. Changing a column header will require changes in the AK attributes. Nothing can be personalized inside the Timecard matrix.
