Change email account and Apple ID associated with iTunes Account

Hi, if I change my apple ID to a new email account, would my history and purchases still show up.
I fear if I do so I will lose all my purchase history etc and crreate problems for myself.
if it is ok to do so and I will not lose the history, what si the best (easiest!!) way to do this?

You can change your Apple ID without losing anything.

Be sure to sign out of anything that uses your Apple ID on all your devices before you change it.

Just sign into your own ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store. Sign out of the old ID and sign into your ID. I get the feeling though, that there is more to what you are trying to do or want to do and I'm not understanding or you are not explaining completely.
If this is a previously owned iPad, it should have been erased before you got possession of it.

My verizon account is fine, and I am eligible for an upgrade, there is no past due balance.. the order went from being prepared to ship back to processing 2 days before it's supposed to get here.. still says it's going to deliver 9/21, yet it still stuck in processing mode, called apple for the past couple of days since i ordered it ON TIME and basically spoke to 17 different people telling me all different things and seems as if it just becomes more and more of a problem..

Can I sync certain itmes from one itunes account and certain items from another itunes account on the same ipad?

I was wondering if an individual would be able to sync certain items from one itunes account and and items from a different itunes account to the same ipad?

You move the song files to /Users/Shared/ and then into iTunes from the other Mac OS X user account.
If you want to change the iTunes Store account associated with them, you need to redownload them from that account.

Itunes menu, STORE, VIEW MY ACCOUNT (if you have already signed in). under Account Information, AppleID, click EDIT and change your email address.
Once you have done that, make sure you will update your AppleID on your devices as well.
On your devices, SETTINGS/STORE/APPLEID/SIGNOUT, then sign back in with the new APPLEID.
You may also want to update icoud as well, if you have already activated it.

Changed computer platforms and want to sync with itunes on my new mac

I have had an iphone for about 8 months and had a Dell pc which I used to sync the phone with itunes. Just purchased my imac and have been trying to transfer my iphone contacts, addresses, music, photos, etc and my ipod music to the mac computer itunes program. I have successfully transfered my email addresses to the mac email program. I have moved my music and photos to my mac, but now want to sync. my iphone with the mac and find that the sync. is only 1 way on the first attempt and that is from the mac to the iphone. Can anybody help and tell me how to get my phone contacts from my iphone or from my tunes on my Dell to my mac itunes program so that I don't wipe out my phone contacts with that first sync on the imac.

As long as you have at least ONE uniques contact and calendar entry in your Mac, you should get the option to merge the data when you first sync.

You can't do this yourself. Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card; they'll only do this if none of the balance has been spent.

Of course it is not on your other computer. You have not put it there.
Your music will not magically appear ion other places, just as a cd won't appear in your car and your house. you have to put it there.
You buy one and only one download, it is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.

I recently updated my primary email address associated with my Apple ID account.
Now when I go to App store on my iPad it still tries to login to the App store using the old email address I had associated with the account, and naturally my password doesn't work. I can't figure out how to tell my iPad to login using the updated email address.
So in effect I'm locked out of the app store and I currently have 26 updates waiting.
I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my IPad to iCloud with no luck.. However I cloud happens to show the correct/updated email address.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

Since you can't delete Apple IDs and having multiple Apple IDs can cause confusion, what you may want to do is rename your existing Apple ID to the new email (desired Apple ID). That would in effect do what you want, get rid of the old and give you the new.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

I'm afraid that once an address has been associated with an Apple ID you can't re-use it in any way. You will have to create another address (such as a free on from GMail or Yahoo for example).
