Change fps and resolution in a Thorlabs DCC1645C camera

 Hello,
Im working with a DCC1645C camera with Labview. I need to programatically change the fps and the resolution, but if I try to do that with a property node: FrameRate, Width and heigh are only Readable attributes. Also, the video modes of the camera that are displayed in MAX are only a few modes and all of them has 1280x1024 and 10 fps.
When using the manufacturer software of the camera I am able to change both, resolution and fps. Also, Thorlabs gives some VIs to work with the camera, where the fps can be set, but I dont know how to use this VI in my program, where Im using IMAQdx to acquire the images.
Thank you.

Hello,
There is a function called IMAQ Resample where you can set the resolution of your image, there is no function to change the FPS settings, but you can set both attributes (FPS and resolution) using the property nodes that you found, they are read attributes but you can change them  to write,  just right click the property node and click on the "change to write" option on the drop down menu.
Hope to help you.

    Hello,
I don't know if there is a way to change the video. But I think you can easily use your own videos by using a local .mpg or .3gp file via InputStream. Just change the player's parameters in video/mpg instead of capture://video.
    Hope it helps...

    Hi,
Check out ORDSYS.ORDImage type from Oracle Intermedia, and especially its "process" method.
It possesses various commands to change image properties.

  • Changing size and resolution

I Have a jpg image which is about five inches square at 500dpi. I would like to enlarge the image as far as poss keeping the resolution suitable for print at 300dpi.
I Have tied adjusting the resolution but the image reduces in size . Do I need to enlarge the image first ? I am unsure by how much. Or is there a button which will do it for me? Thank you.

Check the resampling box in the Image size dialog box. This is required to up sample an image (add pixels) Keep in in mind the more you up sample the blurrier your image will be come. It will look like you are zooming way in on the image. It is up to you to decide how far is far enough if at all. If the original quality is really low you may prefer to not even bother. In that case it would be better to get a new original.

I just bought a new PC and I have re-installed my Adobe Creative Suite Standard on it.
Software open fine. PROBLEM: The toolbars (menu stuff) appear extra-small, too small for me to read...
I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all  the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.

  • How do you change the image size and resolution in photoshop everytime I change the width the height changes my measurements will not stay

Can someone assist me with changing image size and resolution.  each time I change the width the height changes and vice/versa?

There's a chain link between width and height. The point is to keep the aspect ratio the same, otherwise your picture would get stretched.
You click on the chain-link to shut that off and you can adjust width and height separately.
Also could you give us your version of Photoshop, what OS you are running it on (Windows 7 for example) and what exactly you want to do with your document?
Resolution is the print term for how many pixels will be printed on an inch of paper. It doesn't apply if your image is intended for screen viewing.

Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it.  It will now fit the screen.  Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes.  The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds.  Apple should fix this.  Should.

  • Change refresh rates and resolution on another computer

Hi, am i able to use a LAN cable from Computer A and connect to computer B then change B's refresh rates and resolution? for example from 800x600 to 1024x768 then change refresh rate from 60Hz to 75Hz. please advice thanks.

    Hi Trig,
Thanks for your post and I hope your well today.
There are two parts to this - in my mind:
    1. Changing Screen Resolution Programmatically From LabVIEW
    2. Use VI Server to remotely call a VI i.e. Computer A calling VI on Computer B which then runs the VI mentioned in 1.
    1.
This link is a dev zone article which has code for programmatically changing the screen resolution
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/1429
    Try it out.
    2.
    VI Server
The NI Example Finder contains some expamples for this.
    Building VI Server Applications
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361E-01/lvconcepts/building_vi_server_applications/
If you could provide more details, maybe versions of LabVIEW etc then maybe we can help you some more - have you got some code yet? And did you have any thoughts on how to do this?
Another method I have consider is:
Using a tool such that runs an exe or script which alters the resoltion.
Then using the cmd (comand line) or in LabVIEW System Exec.vi to run the exe (via VI Server).

I'm not sure of your question.
Are you asking how to use Photoshop?
Or are you asking for the dimensions of video iMovie uses?
It edits in 720P HD, which is 1280x720.
You can make it a bit bigger so you can zoom in.
Much bigger then this is a waste of time.

Is there a method in labview to dynamically save and change the monitor resolution under program control? I have another application that runs on another monitor. I would like to change the monitor resoultion to 640x480 on program startup, and then restore the monitor resolution back to the user's settings on exit. Can this be done?

Have you already done this manually?  I've seen Labview scale front panels very strangely when changing resolutions...

  • IMAQdx change fps adquiring with USB camera

    Hello,
Im working with Labview to process images captured with an USB camera. I would like to know how to change the adquiring conditions of the camera, in special the frame rate per second (fps), the video mode and the resolution. I need to change this parameters in real time, while the program is running.
    Thank you.

    Hello again!
I have yet not found a single camera where the frame rate was not changable. Maybe you need to change the video mode.
I have created some snippets for you to play with (attached). Drag and drop the images to a vi block diagram to copy the code (You might have to save the images to disk first).
    Best regards

  • How to change external display resolution WITHOUT clicking "CONFIRM"?

I have a somewhat unusual situation. My MacBook laptop is actually now a ModBook (a pen-tablet computer), and as such I no longer have a trackpad attached to it. All of my inputs are via the stylus, tapping directly on the built-in display.
This works perfectly fine, except when I need to give presentations on an LCD projector (which is quite often lately). I like to use the projector as an external monitor, so that I can run the Keynote presentation on it while using my laptop screen as the presenter's display, with the upcoming slide, etc. If the projector doesn't give me an ideal native display option (sometimes, the aspect ratio for the  3 or 4 resolutions available in the Displays drop-down in the menubar turn out to be stretched or squeezed), then I, naturally, have to open the Display System Preferences and try out different resolutions.
The problem is, since my stylus only interacts by clicking directly on the built-in-display, I have no way of moving the cursor over to the external display when the dialog box with the "Click here to confirm change/You have 15 seconds..." message appears. So I can never click it ... so I can never confirm the new settings.
The workarounds I've used so far are:
    - Mirror displays (not ideal, as I need the presenter preview of the next slide)
    - borrow a mouse from someone (usually from a Windows desktop, frankly) and plug that in to briefly mouse over and click the confirm button
I'd love to find a software workaround that allows me to NOT mirror displays and also doesn't require me to carry around a mouse all the time (my laptop bag is already overstuffed...).
    Thanks.
