Change IP online permanently

I looking for the right way to change IP permanently without using sys-config.
The OS level is Solaris 9.
This is the sollution I am planning:
1.
ifconfig -a (to view)
ifconfig hme0 down
ifconfig hme0 unplumb
ifconfig hme0 plumb
ifconfig -a (to view)
ifconfig hme0 inet uuu.xxx.yyy.zzz upIt is another network so I will change 3 files
vi /etc/hosts (change ip)
vi /etc/netmasks (change netmask)
vi /etc/defaultrouter (change route)the file /etc/hostname is correct.
Will this work...
/etc/init.d/inetsvc stop
/etc/init.d/inetsvc start
ifconfig -a (view IP)
netstat -rn (view route)
ping uuu.xxx.yyy.zzzIs there better commands?
Should I do it in another order?

None of the commands are necessary. Feel free to view, but you don't have to down or unplumb anything.

Change netmasks immediately. If you're changing subnets, you'll need to change your routes.
route delete net default <oldgw>

the file /etc/hostname is correct.

/etc/init.d/inetsvc start
No. inetsvc doesn't take arguments. There's no such thing as "stop".

and I have to do it every time a new Finder window opens …

Sorry, you can't. Apple provides no method of changing the system font away from Lucida Grande. TinkerTool will let you change some fonts, but only affects applications written in Cocoa. It cannot change the system font.

Hold down the Command+Option keys. Click and hold the mouse button on the bottom of any column where you see the little double vertical lines. Drag left or right to change all columns at once to the same size. I'm pretty sure this is on a window by window basis, so you'd have to do it for each one you want to change, including open and save dialogue boxes. But once set, that window will remember your settings.

Tool Not Available When Trying to Change My "Online Experience"

I've been trying to change my "Online Experience" with Verizon for a few days. Currently my emal is through Yahoo Verizon and I want to change it to Verizon. I've done all the prep steps but when I got to my profile and choose to "Change my online experience" I got through the questions but it gets to the point where it's supposed to implement the change and I get an error message that that "The tool is unavailable".
Does anyone know how I'm supposed to make this change and actually have it work?
I'm completely frustrated and haven't had the time to call in and talk to a technician and thought I would check here first.

How do get my bill changed from online & paper to ...

I have an awkward problem. I keep receiving online billing notifications for my EX husbands phone bill. They had been going into spam automatically but one has just appeared in my inbox and I need to stop them. I dont want to put his email address in as he may query that it wasnt changed before and I dont want any more rows.
If I go into the account to change settings it will only allow me to change to online/paper free only, not paper only.

The only thing I got out of that 2 hour mess was a ticket, which is already shown as "closed"...This is getting really frustrating. And everytime I get transferred I get asked do I want to make chnages over the phone.NO!I don't want that. I want to do it online, myself, comparing contrast every bundle available for me. Any advise as to how to fix this? I really don't want to get on the phone again and get transferred million times and get no where. Please and thank you.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.
Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Cannot Upgrade or change features online

I've tried a couple of times the last couple of days and I can't get to the Upgrade & Renewal Center at Verizon Central. I always get the message:

I called the number described, they could not help, but they gave me another # to call. That number could not help, they were online support and said that I needed to talk to the order desk people, they gave me another number to call. I called them, they could not help and said the only support was online chat of the forums. The online chat doesn't seem to work, so I'm trying here for help.

New bill posted online, but still no change, even though it reflects all the changes in my account. I may need to wait for the billing notice to go out, even though it is posted online. Correct or not, I only see some minor issues. I will still need to go the Billing Department, then Eservices route, and then spend hours on this. Perhaps not that long.
I will keep you informed if I find out any helpful information. I would say issues account related need to be addressed on an individual basis directly with Verizon, but if it is an issue with their web site and billing department, then E Services should fix it.

Beware, you cannot change your online number

I have never seen such a poorly excuted VIOP system. I have had a online number for four years. I moved and needed a local number. I had 1 month left on the year and extended my subscription. Before the current year was up I needed to change my number. They refuse to do it. They will not refund the extended year I paid for and will not change my number. WTH! It takes 30 seconds to get a new number from Google voice or even Virgin Mobile. This will be be my last year with Skype.

Once an Apple ID is created for a child, the birthday on record for that Apple ID can not be changed. See this article for reference -

Specifically -
Use these steps to create an Apple ID and add the child to your family group:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Family, and tap "Create an Apple ID for a child."
Enter your child's birthday and tap Next. The birthday for a child's account can't be changed after the account is created. Be sure to enter the correct date.

Repository changes in online mode in HA environment

Hello,
Is it possible to make changes to the rpd in online mode within a highly available (horizontally scaled on two virtual hosts, Host1 and Host2) OBIEE 11g environment without disrupting users? Here's what currently happens in my environment, and I believe this is the expected behavior:
1) Open repository in online mode via Admin tool (connects to Host1, which is the master BI server).
2) Make an update and save it.
3) Some users will see the updates right away, some won't. The ones who see it right away are connected to the BI Server on Host1, those who don't see it are connected on Host2 at that particular moment. If the user keeps hitting refresh, sometimes the user sees the updates and other times does not (it depends on which host is used each time user refreshes browser).
4) Restart BI Server process on Host2.
5) Now everyone running a request on Host2 during the restart will get an error. They hit refresh, the error goes away because they are taken to Host1 now.
6) Once the BI Server on Host2 comes back online, all users will see the update made in Step 2.
Our problem is we want to have a HA environment but we also want to make several repository updates throughout the day in online mode without causing a disruption to our users. I don't currently see a way to do this without causing disruptions. Does anyone else have this challenge and if so, how do you manage it?

The following ifconfig command does update the IP address together with both correct netmask & broadcast
but don't believe that this change will stay after reboot:
#ifconfig bge0 inet 203.20.160.91 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.1.255
The value in /etc/netmasks (softlinked to /etc/inet/netmasks) is:
10.56.120.0 255.255.252.0
The value in /etc/defaultrouter is:
203.20.160.1
In short, which other files also need to be updated to pickup the correct netmask (255.255.255.0)
& broadcast (203.20.160.255) permanently, without having to reboot the server?

Thanks for your advice once again but are you able to provide the reason behind your suggestion, so that I won't blindly making this change without knowing why?
I understand how IP and netmask are use in general but do not understand how to setup /etc/inet/netmasks to offset both 10.56.120.0 & 203.20.160.0 subnetworks as well as getting different broadcasts for each.
It is necessary to just as importing to learn from this exercise as much as making the change itself. This is a production server and I must be absolutely convinced that this change will work before applying it. Past attempt has not been successful which caused unnecessary downtime.

I am new to ODI.
I am learning how to create interfaces for the data flow between two Oracle databases !
Now I started by developing a simple interface of loading data from EMPLOYEES table of HR schema to another table created by me EMPLOYEES_TGT in the same schema.
When I dragged and dropped the source and target tables in the mapping tab it showed do you want to map automatically. I selected Yes and then When i executed the project I got errors and I have manually changed the code in the session. One session is executed correctly after changing the code in the sessions, when I start the same project once again it is throwing the same errors. How can I make the changes of the code that I changed in the previous session permanent to that interface ?
Could anyone please guide me how to overcome this problem ? How can i make the changes permanent when one session has completed execution ?

In the same way for other steps in the same session I got some errors and I fixed them by changing the code. But the problem is that where can I change this so that it will be a permanent solution.

How do I change font colour permanently in Mail.

Can someone tell me how to permanently change the font colour in Mac Mail. I have changed it from black to blue in preferences and also when I bring up the new message screen have changed to blue there also, but it still types out in black. So I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong.

I am assuming you simply want to use a different Visa card to the one you usually use. If so, no problem. Go to App store > Store > View my account > sign in > Payment information and edit. There you can change the credit card number.

How can I change print settings permanently?

I've looked through all the FAQs I can find, and I can see how to change the settings each time I print, but I'd like to make it so that it always prints the pictures several shades lighter. I also need to recalibrate the printer, but this has always been a problem. Is there a way to permanently set up a printing profile that will always automatically apply?
I'm using Lightroom 3.

printer driver settings are saved in the profile. Or upgrade to LR4 which has this feature built into the Print module.
