Change log issue in BRF process workflow SRM 7.0

Hi Experts,
I am new to SRM workflow. At the moment I have a requirement in SRM 7.0 BRF process control workflow.My requirement is to capture the changes done by the shopping cart approver's and also the changes done by shopping cart requestor. Below is an exmaple.
In some cases the first level approver or second level approver will edit the shopping cart , make some changes and will resend the same shopping cart to the requestor (the person who created the shopping cart). If the requestor accepts the same changes and save the shopping cart there is no need of sending the workitem to the first level approval or second level approver again, but incase if the requestor makes new changes to the shopping cart then the workitem should go to the first level approval or the second level approver.
How will the system identify the changes done by the first level approver or second level approver or the requestor?? Because based on the changes the workflow process will follow. Is there any log where the changes done by first level approver or second level approver are saved? and please let me know where to code for this requirement.
Thanks and Regards,
Prashanth

Note 868192 - Consulting solution: MM-SRV-SUS service procurement
A service entry in SUS is transferred to the R/3 system or ERP system using an IDoc after you submit the entry screen. Service entry sheets are created there and they are then available for release. You can perform the service entry in a number of ways:
Service entry of planned services: you can confirm planned services in the service entry in SUS. An overdelivery may occur if quantities are still open.
Service entry using time recording: planned services, for which a time recording is useful, can be split up. Time recording by the hour or by the day is possible.
Service entry for limits: You can use the free-text entry of new items and also the OCI-enabled catalogs to implement limits.

  • Change Log issues - Post Upgrade

    Hi Experts,
    We are in the process of Upgrading BW from 3.X to BI 7. As part of this we copied our existing Production system into the sand box and basis did the technical upgrade on the same (Sand Box). Later we ran some post upgrade Jobs as part of the SAP defined Upgrade Process.
    1) But after the upgrade i can notice that most of the ODS objects, doesn't have 'Change Log' table in the 'Information (Log/Status)' screen.
    2) Even when i try to view the change log content in Manage screen, it gives me a pop up to enter the change log table, instead of directly taking me to the selection screen.
    3) When i try to activate a request, even that fails with an SQL error 'SAPSQL_EMPTY_TABNAME'.
    Is there any process that has to be run to link the Older version change log tables to the corresponding ODSs after Upgrade?
    Has anyone come accross similar issues? If yes, how was it solved? All suggestions are invited.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jay

    HI JayaPrasad,
    Chek the note : 1059171 which is related to Change log,
    I too faced this issue when upgraded to Bi7.0 on SP12, but as soon as SP13 is installed the issue is solved, so I suggest to go for SP 13 for upgrading to Bi7.0.

  • Change log issues-2 images for a single requests

    Hi ,
    in change log table for a single request i found 2 before images and two after images, is this normal behaviour if not when can we see the such type of scenarios.
    because it leads to zero records when it isn updated in to the further data targets.
    thanks.

    the listener is NOT involved with any existing session.
    stopping & restarting the listener has NO impact on existing sessions.
    I suggest it is better to control network access to any system using a Firewall which is the best tool for this task.
    Yes, it is possible to have more than 1 listener. It is also possible to poke yourself in the eye with a sharp pencil.
    I suggest that you should avoid both of these possible activities.
    Simply put having multiple listeners is wrong for multiple reasons & should be avoided.

  • RPUAUD00 Change Log Issue on Table T585B

    I added some new infotypes to the RPUAUD00 change log on tables:
    t585a
    t585b
    t585c
    Everything seems to be working as expected, but I received soft errors on t585b:
    "! All data fields 0006 01 will be deleted"
    when I used * (all fields).
    This did not happen when I used actual field names.
    Does anyone know what that means?
    thanks!

    It's just a warning for this specific view if you put '*' in field name. What it means is that if you currently configure audit changes
    for specific fields of this infotype, all of these entries will automatically be deleted by SAP when you use '*' (all fields are marked for audit). Therefore, there should not be a concern on the message.

  • Configuration Changes logging issue, ASDM related?

    I've run into an interesting problem.
    ASA: 8.4(2)
    ASDM: 6.4(5)
    When I make a change at the CLI, syslog message ASA-5-111008 is generated and sent to the syslog servers, local buffer, and ASDM.
    When I make a change in ASDM, syslog message ASA-5-111008 is  generated and sent to the local  buffer and ASDM. It is NOT sent to the syslog server.
    Here's my logging config...
    Firewall# sh run logging
    logging enable
    logging timestamp
    logging standby
    logging buffer-size 409600
    logging buffered informational
    logging trap notifications
    logging asdm notifications

    logging flash-minimum-free 10240
    logging flash-maximum-allocation 10240
    logging permit-hostdown
    Surely I'm missing something obvious.  Is this a known bug?
    Thanks!

    Ha, I did upgrade just a few minutes ago, but same result.
    That does look similar, and so does ...
    CSCth14248 ASA not sending all logging messages via TCP logging
    Looks like I'll need to upgrade to 8.4(3) to fix these and see how it goes.

  • Change logs for Shopping cart

    Hi,
    Is it possible to get the change logs for a shopping cart in SRM as to who deleted a line item after approval? We are in the SRM 4 version ( classic scenario).
    The problem is that the batch job user seems to be coming up in the last update for the shopping cart and the backend PO is deleted with the RFC user name.
    Are there any tables in SRM where the change is logged? I checked CDHDR/CDPOS tables but it is difficult to get the logs for the shopping cart especially for the deleted action.
    Any clues/ideas would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi
    expand the shopping cart
    in the right top corner you can see
    Display Changes
    shopping cart might be deleted by BATCHRFC
    if the BUYER deleted a PO and the status will be updated in the shopping cart by BATCHRFC user.

  • Delete change log

    HI BI Expert,
    I have got the requirement to delete change log using process chain. I have included the Objecty Type callled Change Log Table and DSO as object name and finally included this process after activating data on DSO process. Whenever, I scheduled the process chain or ran it immediately as well in order to delete change log. But this process does not seem to be working at all. The number of records on change log table is the same as before.
    The process chain is as follows;
    1. Variant
    2. load data to PSA and then DSO
    3. Delete PSA data (older than 30 day)
    4. Activate DSO Data
    5. Delete Change Log (older than 30 day)
    Please kindly suggest me what I need to do to make this process working.
    Thanks for your help.

    hi,
    hope u can include all the PSA and change log deletion in different chain and try to trigger the chain weekly, since if u do as in ur chain and if u miss any records and you have to disturb the source again.
    try to delete the change log manually and chk if working.

  • Change log and Patch notes

    Hi,
    Could anyone help me to a web page or document like there is with flash of the changes in the versions.

    with flash we've got several of those pages like:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/features/
    and
    http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/
    I can't find it for shockwave.
    Thanks in advance,
    ClasH

    I have a 3.x object on an upgraded BW System to 7.1 . It looks like to (still) delete both requests (change log + PSA) while executing the Change log deletion request.  My point is: Inside the Process chain may I leave just the Change log request's deletion process and remove the PSA deleteion step or do I have to stay and exute both steps aniway?
    thank you,

  • Help required in SRM 7.0 BRF process worrkflow

    Hi Experts,
    I am new to SRM. I have a requirement wherein I need a create a BRF process control workflow. In high level the requirement is as follows.
    Once a shopping cart is saved the workflow should start and check whether the shopping cart value is greater than or equal to 1000 USD.
    Note: Step 1 and Step 2 are only applicable when the shopping cart header value is greater than or equal to 1000 USD else directed to the step 3.In other words step 1 and step 2 are optional steps whereas step 3 is mandatory step
    If TRUE (shopping cart value greater than or equal to 1000USD).
    step 1) The first level approver need to be determined from ztable based on the cost centre of the shopping cart.
    step 2) The second level approver need to be determined from ztable based on item category id of the shopping cart.
    If TRUE (shopping cart value greater than or equal to 1000USD) or FALSE (shopping cart value less than or equal to 1000USD).
    step 3) The org unit manager approval is required. Org unit manager will be determined from the ztable based on the org unit of the shopping cart. If the value of the shopping cart is greater than the manager's approval limit (determined from a ztable), the manager approves the workitem and also the workitem should go to his manager for approval. The same applies until the approval limit of the approver is greater than or equal to the shopping cart value.
    In the above requirement step 3 approval level is dynamic. Please help me in achieving this requirement.
    If the shopping cart is resend.
    In some cases the first level approver or second level approver will edit the shopping cart , make some changes and will resend the same shopping cart to the requestor (the person who created the shopping cart). How will the system identify the changes done by the first level approver or second level approver or the requestor?? Because based on the changes the workflow process will follow. Is there any log where the changes done by first level approver or second level approver are saved? and please let me know where to code for this requirement.

    Hi,
    In case you won't get answers here, you might ask this same question from SRM forum. As far as I remember a LOT of things in the shopping cart approval process could be done just by implementing the relevant BADIs in SRM (just some ABAP work), you don't even have to touch the workflow itself. In other words, SRM supports lots of different types of scenarios with the given BADIs (approval determination, etc.).
    Kind regards,
    Karri

  • Ensure 1 Active Sync process runs against the change log before all others?

    He folks,
    We have a lot of LDAP active sync thread. We have a primary on that correlates to an individuals account. Then we have several that represent affiliations at our organization. The affiliations are represented in LDAP as subordinates of the main persons entry. These sets of data were set up as different resource adapters because the they are different object types in LDAP.
    Now we are running into a problem where the active sync threads for subordinates are running before the thread for the main entry. What this means, is that an affiliation thread might run, see a new person was added and ignore it (since that isn't it's resource) but find the affiliation subordinate entry and want to process it. However, the thread can't find an associated account in IDM yet, so no processing takes place on that change, ever..
    If the main account active sync thread had already run, it would see the main entry, and then make a correisponding IDM entry. If the IDM entry has been made, and the affiliation resource active sync adapter runs, it will then find the IDM entry and update that.
    So.. We are experience problems when the affiliation processes a new account before the main account sync process.
    Can we ensure somehow that the main account active sync process always runs first? These are all LDAP resources. If we could ensure the main account resource / sync happens before any other affiliation resource, then we would never ignore data, and would not have anyproblems.
    Does anyone know of a good clean way to do this?
    Thanks!

    I had a similar issue, and solved it by using post process workflows and starting and stopping resource adapters manually. This will allow you to start the first resource, and any others you want can be started/stopped manually via the workflow. You can effectively "chain" resource adapters to run in any order you'd like.
    On the first resource that you want to run before anything else, this will run as a post-process workflow:
         <Activity id='0' name='stopFirstResource'>
            <Action id='0' name='stop'>
              <expression>
                <block name='stop'>
                  <invoke name='stopActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
                    <ref>displaySession</ref>
                    <s>%%FIRSTRESOURCENAME%%</s>
                  </invoke>
                </block>
              </expression>
            </Action>
            <Transition to='Process Errors'>
              <ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
            </Transition>
            <Transition to='startSecondResource'/>
          </Activity>
          <Activity id='1' name='startSecondResource'>
            <Action id='0' name='start'>
              <expression>
                <invoke name='startActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
                  <ref>displaySession</ref>
                  <s>%%SECONDRESOURCENAME%%</s>
                </invoke>
              </expression>
            </Action>
            <Transition to='Process Errors'>
              <ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
            </Transition>
            <Transition to='end'/>
          </Activity>
    This will stop the first one (after it has run) and start the second one.
    Then, on the post process workflow of the second resource:
          <Activity id='1' name='stopSecondResource'>
            <Action id='0' name='stop'>
              <expression>
                <block name='start'>
                  <invoke name='stopActiveSyncOnResource' class='com.waveset.session.SessionUtil'>
                    <ref>displaySession</ref>
                    <s>%%SECONDRESOURCENAME%%</s>
                  </invoke>
                </block>
              </expression>
            </Action>
            <Transition to='Process Errors'>
              <ref>WF_ACTION_ERROR</ref>
            </Transition>
            <Transition to='end'/>
          </Activity>This stops the second one.

    I can delete the change log only using Manage screen of my ods and then using Menu -> Environment ->Delete Change Log Data.
    Anna Maria

    I see that this topic is still active/unanswered...
    We're having the same problem, but not just changelogs, also for PSAs. We have a weekly process chain that does housekeeping on our BW system, cleaning up PSAs and changelogs, compressing cubes, realigning time-dep masterdata and renewing indexes.
    The PSA chain runs fine and about 90% of all PSAs get deleted, but there are some datasources (all of them are of type 8* datamart datasources) that don't get their PSAs deleted. It says "The following PSAs were selected:" and then nothing happens...
    I tried all tickbox combinations and checked that there are no PSA entries blocked by invalid partitions. Manual deletion (via "manage" in the datasource) works fine, but is tedious and time consuming.
    Also, most of the 8* datasource PSAs do get deleted. Just a handful (+/- 25) get skipped somehow.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Eduard
    PS: We're still running 3.5-style backend dataflow, but will eventually get converted to transformations and DTPs. But that's not on our agenda (yet).
