Change Log issues - Post Upgrade

Hi Experts,
We are in the process of Upgrading BW from 3.X to BI 7. As part of this we copied our existing Production system into the sand box and basis did the technical upgrade on the same (Sand Box). Later we ran some post upgrade Jobs as part of the SAP defined Upgrade Process.
1) But after the upgrade i can notice that most of the ODS objects, doesn't have 'Change Log' table in the 'Information (Log/Status)' screen.
2) Even when i try to view the change log content in Manage screen, it gives me a pop up to enter the change log table, instead of directly taking me to the selection screen.
3) When i try to activate a request, even that fails with an SQL error 'SAPSQL_EMPTY_TABNAME'.
Is there any process that has to be run to link the Older version change log tables to the corresponding ODSs after Upgrade?
Has anyone come accross similar issues? If yes, how was it solved? All suggestions are invited.

Chek the note : 1059171 which is related to Change log,
I too faced this issue when upgraded to Bi7.0 on SP12, but as soon as SP13 is installed the issue is solved, so I suggest to go for SP 13 for upgrading to Bi7.0.

    Thanks for feedback.I have chanegd one currency in ob08 and tried to search log by entering table as Tcurr,then todays date on which data was changed ,evaluation for -tables.On output could not get log of changes made by me.Is their any setting required to have history.Can please tell procedure.For posting period what will be selection data.

  • Change log issues-2 images for a single requests

    Hi ,
    in change log table for a single request i found 2 before images and two after images, is this normal behaviour if not when can we see the such type of scenarios.
    because it leads to zero records when it isn updated in to the further data targets.

    the listener is NOT involved with any existing session.
    stopping & restarting the listener has NO impact on existing sessions.
    I suggest it is better to control network access to any system using a Firewall which is the best tool for this task.
    Yes, it is possible to have more than 1 listener. It is also possible to poke yourself in the eye with a sharp pencil.
    I suggest that you should avoid both of these possible activities.
    Simply put having multiple listeners is wrong for multiple reasons & should be avoided.

  • RPUAUD00 Change Log Issue on Table T585B

    I added some new infotypes to the RPUAUD00 change log on tables:
    t585a
    t585b
    t585c
    Everything seems to be working as expected, but I received soft errors on t585b:
    "! All data fields 0006 01 will be deleted"
    when I used * (all fields).
    This did not happen when I used actual field names.
    Does anyone know what that means?

    It's just a warning for this specific view if you put '*' in field name. What it means is that if you currently configure audit changes
    for specific fields of this infotype, all of these entries will automatically be deleted by SAP when you use '*' (all fields are marked for audit). Therefore, there should not be a concern on the message.

  • Call log issue after upgrading to OS 10.3.1.158​1 from 10.2

    Dear all.
    I have update my BlackBerry 10 os to 10.3.1.1581 and to my surprise i find that the call log os restricted to about 150-200 call whereas it was almost unlimited in the previous 10.2 os .
    BlackBerry should issue a fix asap since this is such a basic features and necessity.
    I find myself in a very bad situation after upgrading.

    I have two call lors. One in the phone app, and one in the hub.
    I feel like the one in the phone app is quite short, but the one in the hub is unlimited.
    Do you confirm on your side?
    That being said, tracking more than 150 previous calls regularly is an extreme usage of the phone, I don't think the OS is made for that. I suggest you use a third party app that will be suited at tracking 200 phone calls a day.

  • EVDRE Access Issue Post Upgrade from BPC 5.1 SP3 to BPC 7.0 SP6

    Greetings,
    Recently upgraded from BPC 5.1SP3 to BPC 7.0 SP6.  Experiencing some strange behavior regarding the ability to send data to BPC from an EVDRE.  Both users are part of the same secuity team, thus have the same security in both versions.  However, one is able to send data to BPC 7.0 SP6 for a specific input template while the other recieves a message "There is no data to refresh."    This message is not encountered in BPC 5.1 SP3.
    The strange thing is that the user who receives the "there is no data to refresh" is able to rebuild the input template ad hoc and send data to BPC
    I have reviewed security, cleared the cache on the user's machine.  I had the user with this issue log onto the app server; she encountered the same behavior regarding this template.  Also tested a seperate input template in another application, this issue did not occurr.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

       From your description it looks like the problem si more related to that specific user. Please try to reprocess the security for that user. Then go on file server and go into <appset>/<application>/<private publication>/<user name> and delete appinfo.zip.
       Other idea can be related to the excel cache, but I don;t know why is not working for this specific user. You can try to save it in a new template as Patrick indicated.
    You can try also clear local application information from admin client or try from other machine using the same client.

  • Configuration Changes logging issue, ASDM related?

    I've run into an interesting problem.
    ASA: 8.4(2)
    ASDM: 6.4(5)
    When I make a change at the CLI, syslog message ASA-5-111008 is generated and sent to the syslog servers, local buffer, and ASDM.
    When I make a change in ASDM, syslog message ASA-5-111008 is  generated and sent to the local  buffer and ASDM. It is NOT sent to the syslog server.
    Here's my logging config...

    logging buffered informational

    logging asdm notifications

    Ha, I did upgrade just a few minutes ago, but same result.
    That does look similar, and so does ...
    CSCth14248 ASA not sending all logging messages via TCP logging
    Looks like I'll need to upgrade to 8.4(3) to fix these and see how it goes.

  • Changes in templates post upgrade from 5.6.1 to 5.6.2

    Hi,
    We have developed templates using XML publisher version 5.6.1. We are currently having XML publisher version 5.6.2.
    Any modifications done in the existing templates using 5.6.2 version changes the
    source code, size and several other attributes of the templates. That is, the
    entire template is changed. We are facing the following issue in the reports due to
    this.
    Issue: Many Reports have Barcodes in them. The Barcodes are used for scanning the details of Items etc. In the Reports which uses the original version of the templates (5.6.1), the Barcodes are scanable. But we need to modify the Templates in order to add a few fields, text etc. After modification in version 5.6.2 the Barcodes of the report generated from these modified templates have become un-scanable. We are unable to track the reason for this and this issue is causing serious business problems.
    Any inputs on resolving this would be highly appreciated.

    When you say you followed the upgraded step in the guide carefully, in addition to the database upgrade, you didn't run the UpgradeManagerDriver.exe, did you? That is intended for upgrading from 4.5ws only. As far as I know, the upgrade from 5.0.1 consists basically of:
    Uninstalling/reinstalling the portal and job server and other software (saving the config files for reference/reconfiguration)Running a single database SQL scriptIf it was much more complicated than that, then perhaps you corrupted the DB?

  • Change log issue in BRF process workflow SRM 7.0

    I am new to SRM workflow. At the moment I have a requirement in SRM 7.0 BRF process control workflow.My requirement is to capture the changes done by the shopping cart approver's and also the changes done by shopping cart requestor. Below is an exmaple.
    In some cases the first level approver or second level approver will edit the shopping cart , make some changes and will resend the same shopping cart to the requestor (the person who created the shopping cart). If the requestor accepts the same changes and save the shopping cart there is no need of sending the workitem to the first level approval or second level approver again, but incase if the requestor makes new changes to the shopping cart then the workitem should go to the first level approval or the second level approver.
    How will the system identify the changes done by the first level approver or second level approver or the requestor?? Because based on the changes the workflow process will follow. Is there any log where the changes done by first level approver or second level approver are saved? and please let me know where to code for this requirement.

On click of folder icon in Content Admin -> KM content -> Folder , i get a javascript error as  "Access is denied" popup_ie6.js as shown in screen-shot below. We are facing this issue post upgrade. Any idea what might be the issue?

    Context menu is disappeared under KM content.  Not in AFP (CNP).
    As per note, 1921618 - Context menu is not visible for KM resources
    i have updated this.
    --------- Go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> User Interface -> Menus and select the 'off' menu item. Open it for edit and change the 'Java class' field to 'com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.uicommand.UIHoverMenu'.) ---------
    But no luck. still same issue.
    Should i go for SP06 (EP7.40)  update ? mine is SP05 (EP7.4)

    Post upgrade to ECC6.0, While executing a KE30 report "E-SECAMG-ELI" in classic drilldown report mode, everything seams to be fine. but when we see in Graphical report output mode an error "The length of the structure in a non-Unicode 5.129 DATA" is shown. please provide some suggestions on what can be done to rectify this.

    the numbers of columns you want to display in the drilldown control of the graphical output is restricted to less than 1000
    To solve the problem, you could deactivate the drilldown control in the graphical output by changing the selected areas of the graphical output in transaction KE32.

  • OSX Mountain Lion post-upgrade Video issues.

    I purchased this MBPRO 13 on Saturday. Upgraded to Mountain Lion this afternoon ... now weirdness has taken over.
    Has anyone see this happen post-upgrade? This happens approx. every 20-30 minutes after starting up. Sure would love to know what this is and a resolution :-/

    You have 14 days from receipt to return it for a refund.
    That looks like a Hardware problem to me, unless you have installed a lot of goofy aftermarket stuff.

  • Issue with Incremental migration - Change log data gone

    Project Info :
    We are migrating clients MOSS 2007 environment to SharePoint 2013 using Avepoint Docave migrator. It’s a migration and new development project where in client require new components and UI to be developed
    Problem statement :
    We had done last incremental migration of the data in August 2014 and when we tried doing the incremental migration in December it was found that “Change Logs”, based on which Docave does the incremental migration have been wiped out due to the Change log
    duration set to 60 days by the client.
    Docave support is saying that the only way to get the correct data is to perform full migration. As we have done lot of page fixes post migration, we want to avoid full migration.
    Just for the information, Change logs refer to the "Event cache" table created for each content Database and the duration of the change can be set via 
    Central Administration > Application Management > select Web application > General Settings >Resource Throttling > Change Log
    Any thoughts/approach on how shall we proceed to tackle this situation

  • BW 7.0 to 7.3 upgrade-Post upgrade activity and Transport the changes

    Hi Experts,
    We have upgraded our BW system from Release 7.0 to 7.3. As part of Security post upgrade activity I ran Migration steps,
    RSECADMIN-Extras->Migrations->Migration:Release 7.0 to Release 7.3. and later SU25 steps too.
    I fixed the Roles appeared in SU25 Step 2C and made below Characteristics as auth relevant,
    0TCAACTVT
    0TCAIPROV
    0TCAVALID
    But I have few doubts before Quality movement,
    1) Do I need to Run the Migration steps again in Quality and Production?
    RSECADMIN-Extras->Migrations->Migration:Release 7.0 to Release 7.3
    2) Do I need to transport only above Characteristics to Quality and Production or need to transport all the Characteristics and Analysis Authorization?
    3) How to transport Characteristics?
    Please provide your views.

    Hi,
    Technically its possible but it has its own consequences again based on the kind of object that you are going to Tranport.
    The above statement is applicable considering that you have 3.x flow in Bi7.0 system and with no DTP's or transformation etc...
    And if the BI7.0 is Unicode and 3.5 system is non-unicode then you will have lot of issues and most of the times you need Basis help to resolve the issues. So its bit risk to move the transport this way.
    So its better to develop the objects once again in 3.x system and then transport from D to Q and to P as a standard practice.
