Change port from 8443 to 443 on jakarta-tomcat 6

Hi all,
How can I possibly change the SSL port from 8443 to 443? The default was 8443 and it works fine with that.I've tried to set it to port 443 at the connector tag and all redirectPort in server.xml. However, when I tried to access https://localhost/ it shows Page could not be displayed. I am currently running java jdk 1.6 on jakarta-tomcat 6. Is there any additional settings which I've left out? Thanks in advance..

  • MGCP Gateway Change port from POTS to Loop Start

I have an existing MGCP gateway port that I need to change from POTS to Loop start, however I have not seen a setting in UCM that allows me to do this. When I try to delete the port, it ask if I want to delete this gateway and I'm scared that it will blow all my ports away. Does anyone know how to reset this port to the default so I can program loop start or updat the existing port?

Yeah you need to delete the port from the gateway and re-add it to change it.  You will need to remove route pattern/route group dependencies in order to delete the port.  I recommend you use the Dependency Records to find out what RGs this port is assigned to so that you can add it back in.
If these are FXS ports, I'd actually recommend you keep it at POTS until CM 8.5, though, since LS is the default configuration for the port in IOS, and there is this bug on CM, which isn't fixed until 8.5:
    CSCtf22348
MGCP FXS GroundStart and LoopStart need Prefix DN; remove Attendant DN

    Hello all,
I need to change the port 50001 to 443 for https access to my portal EP 6.0 SP18  (running on Java 6.40 SP18 and Solaris 10/Oracle 9). I have read note 421359 and the icmbnd permissions are ok . I tried going to Visual Admin under the HTTP provider service of the dispatcher and change the port from 50001 to 443 but this didn't do the trick.
What am I missing here? Any help will be very much appreciated
    Many thanks

    Hi,
It should be done from the visual administrator (ref. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b8/437d46d4451e4c9ab756e272a1581d/frameset.htm)
Check that no other application is listening on the port 443
    Start->run ... cmd
    netstat -an | find LIST

  • Ichat wont let me change port

Hello Ive been having issues with ichat dropping video and audio chats.
I cant chat for more than 5 min without getting the "havent recieved data in 10 seconds" error
I read several posts that suggest changing the port from 5190 to 443
I tried this with both kdc.uas.aol.com and login.oscar.aol.com
Each time after typing in 443 and hitting enter the number would change back to 5190
Are there alternate AIM servers I can use?
Is there a step I am missing?
Should I reduce my bandwidth limit to 200kps?
    I am using a Macbook Pro 1.1 Mac OS 10.6.8 with Ichat 5.0.3 (745)

    HI,
In the Preferences > Accounts > Account Info tab you shouild be deselecting "Use this Account" first to Log out.
Then you can edit the stuff in the server Setting tab.
Having said that the Logging in port have nothing to do with the Video being Dropped.
The "10 Second " error is caused by your internet connection dropping.
If yout then open the Connection Doctor (VIdeo Menu) it will tell you in the Error part which ports it though were being used.
First choice is port 16402 and it should ideally list this from the LAN IP (your Computer) and the Public IP (Your Modem or routing device.
Try changing the Bandwidth Limit in iChat > Preferences > Video section to 500kbps
This is fast enough fro 4 way chats a Host but maybe below a threshold level for your routing device's "Security" features.
Your router may have either DoS (Denial Of Service protection) or SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection).
The first tries to make sure that you don't get "Too much Data too Quickly" and will cut the one port the data is on to "protect" the connection as a whole.
Modern Internet Connections and iChat can outstrip this sort of threshold as you cannot change it.
You either pin back iChat or turn the feature Off.
SPI uses the processor in the router to try and judge whether the data should be allowed.
At high levels the processor/App/System is overloaded and cuts the one port the data is on to "protect" everything.

  • SJAS not respond when Change port for Derby db

    Hi Folks
when I change port from 1527 [because it is used by another protocol] for derby database to 3333 [using derby.drda.portNumber=3333 in /root/.netbeans-derby/derby.property file] I found that SUN APPLICATION server is not responding properly.
    NOT responding properly means:
    1. I can start it from command line but can't start from Netbeans(exceptions of derby etc)
    2. I can not see any page o/p in browser for admin and webserver8080 but ports are used by SUNApplication server (confirm by port scanning)
anyone faced same problem please tell us possible reasons

    Hi,
I did the same thing as you have done - changed the port number to 3333, without making any changes manually to the port values for derby in netbeans. After this i started the appserver from netbeans and i was not only able to start derby (in port 3333) but also the application server successfully. I did not get any exceptions whatsoever.
Just curious, which version of app server are you using? Also, did you verify the settings for the application server that you are starting (using netbeans) under Tools->ServerManager ?
I tried this with 9.1UR1 b01. To add to this, i was able to access the admin console and also the 8080 port.

  • Changing SSH default port from 22 to 8080

    Hi all,
I have deployed SSH on my home solaris 10 x86 machine and it was working fine through the default port 23.
But the problem is that i can't connect to it from work as the firewall blocks outgoing SSH traffic. So i want to change the default port from 23 to 8080.
i changed the value of Port in /etc/ssh/sshd_config.
    Then i ran the command
    /usr/lib/ssh/sshd -f /etc/ssh/sshd_config
because as far as i know from the man pages it will cause the daemon to reread the configuration file thus the new value for port but still it didnt' work.
    Also i tried the command
    /usr/lib/ssh/sshd -p 8080
    but didn't work also
I tried to restart the ssh daemon after both commands but still the same result.
Would anyone please help me with this issue as i still don't have much experience in solaris.
    Thanks in advance.

Ok, So i installed lsof, but
When i ran that command i got this output
    bash-3.00# lsof -M | grep 8080
    sshd 1085 root 3u IPv6 0xd43e21c0 0t0 TCP *:8080 (LISTEN)
it seems that sshd is occupying port 8080 but still ican't login from a remote machine.
When i try it asks me to enter the username and then displays a messaing "Using keyboard-interactive authentication" then asks for password, When i enter the password it gives me "Access denied" although iam sure this is the right password.
When i try to connect to port 22 things go fine and i can login with the same user "root" with no problems (i know accessing remotely using root is not secure but that is not the problem for the moment)
    So i did that
    ps -ef | grep ssh
    root 1085 1 0 19:05:07 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/ssh/sshd
    root 1093 1 1 19:05:51 ? 0:00 /usr/local/sbin/sshd
Note that the PID for the process grabbing the port is the same for /usr/lib/ssh/sshd
so is that the ssh daemon or is it /usr/local/sbin/sshd ????
Please advise. Note that iam not experienced in solaris so please take it easy with me.
    Thanks

    Debuger,
It does not matter which WLS version I am using (although I'm using 10.3, the one that comes with JDev 11g).
The problem is that SOME OTHER PROCESS on your machine is listening on port 80. Guess you need to go to the Microsoft forums to find out how you can tell what that OTHER, NOT WLS process is.

  • Mail port number won't hold.  Received instructions from Comporium to change port number to 465, SSL checked and password required.  Now port reverts to 110 when quitting mail and reopening.

OS X Yosemite on MacBook.  Mail port number will not hold.  Changed mail account info as instructed by Comporium, including changing port to 465, use SSL and password.  Now the port reverts to 110 when Mail app is closed and reopened; the entered port number - 465 - will not hold.

OK folks, I think we have a winner.
I finally got frustrated so I sponsored a conference call with a Palm Level 3 tech support guy, the Telus rep and a Bell rep.  We were on hold for a total of like 45 minutes as I chained the call along and finally got everyone on the same line.
So here's the deal: The setup has to be done manually as thepoet suggested.  The incoming server is OK as imap and imap.telus.net with no encryption.  The outgoing server has to be set to point to mail.1xbell.ca with NO authentication, port 25 and no encryption.  The initial Bell tech support guy was quite close to the solution, just the wrong port number and the wrong sequence of setting it up.
I have been able to send successfully, but want to try a couple of more things before I declare it a complete success.
Thanks for your help Poet, much appreciate your persistance.

When I send or receive e-mail (Thunderbird).....the mail gets changed significantly from its original form.....typestyle, font size, symbols, page layout, color.....everything changes.....is there a way to fix that so my the original form of the mail is not changed?.....

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • Change port number generated by CONSTRUCT_WD_URL

We are using load balancing and have 2 ports, one of which is open, and other is not (due to security settings).
When our application hits the port that is not open, we are not able to open the application.
    Eg: two ports - 100 and 200.
100 is open, 200 is not.
So when WD (due to load balancing) runs on port 200, the CONSTRUCT_WD_URL returns port as 200. The application does not load.
We cannot change the call to the CONSTRUCT_WD_URL method, as it is a standard application that is having it.
What can we do to avoid this issue?
    Thanks in adv.

Thanks Xavier. You  brought me very close to the answer.
Now only one trouble is there.
I can maintain entries in the table, and it will take host and port from here.
    Port is okay.
But for load balancing, sometimes my host is like this:
    abc1234.xyz.com.sg
My actual host which is doing load balancing is : abc.xyz.com.sg
So if incoming URL is like this: abc1234.xyz.com.sg:100, I want it to change to abc.xyz.com.sg:200.
All seems well, but there is this line of code: '
        LOOP AT httpurlloc ASSIGNING <httpurlloc>.
If specified, match string against (possible wildcard '*' in) table.
CHECK application IS INITIAL OR <httpurlloc>-applicatn IS INITIAL OR application CP <httpurlloc>-applicatn.
CHECK for_domain  IS INITIAL OR <httpurlloc>-for_domain IS INITIAL OR for_domain  CP <httpurlloc>-for_domain.
CHECK host_header IS INITIAL OR host_header CP <httpurlloc>-host.
The last line gives host header as abc1234.xyz.com.sg. So if I maintain my host as abc.xyz.com.sg, it does not go ahead.
I cannot maintain abc1234.xyz.com.sg. Now I am stuck.
Can advise how to go about it?
    Thanks in adv.

  • Removing port from channel-group

I've run into an odd issue with port aggregation where I decided to remove a port from a port channel and put it into another but in my SNMP tool it still belongs to the old port channel and the new simultaneously.
The port channel was created by using:
    (config)#interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/22
    (config-if)#switchport mode trunk
    (config-if)#channel-group 1 mode active
    And then changed through
    (config)#interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/22
    (config-if)#no channel-group 1 mode active
    (config-if)#channel-group 2 mode active
I also get this when I pull information on etherchannel.
    #show interfaces gigabitEthernet 1/0/22 etherchannel

Could this be an issue with my snmp tool (observium) or are there any additional steps for removing a port from a channel-group? Switch restart?
    System image file is "flash:c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-2.SE4.bin"

    Hi,
I would say that this is related to the snmp tool, once you remove the port from the previous channel and added to the new it will belong to that one only, there is no way that an interface will below to 2 different port channels.
Also there is no need to restart the switch or anything like that, you can use the following commands to confirm that the interface is now part of the new channel group:
    Show etherchannel summary
    Show run interface gi1/0/22
With those commands you will see that the interface belongs to channel group 2, and the command you attached above shows that the interface belongs to po2.
    Hope this helps
