I'm using crystal report 10 and Crystal VCL for Delphi. How can I change the database log on parameters in the run time?

I am developing an application which will be a bilingual. when i click french button on GUI, all display messages changes to french. When i click on English, all captions and messages come in Engilsh. I am using property node to change the captions of controls and graphs for different languages. and using a global variable to pass the language information between different windows(Sub VIs). Now the problem is, i have to change the Run-Time Menu also. Not getting how to do this. Can anyone help me about this. Is it possible to make this?

Hi Anil,
It looks like you are on the right track by using Property Nodes. You can use the string input of the property node to select the appropriate message to display (language), along with a Boolean selector (ie: TRUE = English, FALSE = French (or vice-versa) ).
You could also use a Property Node for the language selection.

Can i change the running time of an itunes song?

I have made a slideshow that incorporates several vacations running in a continuous loop. I used different songs from itunes for each individual vacation, i.e., Mexico, Bermuda, etc.. The timing of the slideshow segments(vacations) do not match the running time of the songs. (close but not quite) The songs are all in the order needed, on the same itunes playlist. I need to change either the running time of the music or maybe as a last choice, delete or add more photos. Can the running time for a song be condensed or expanded ?

The use of the "Stop" time in iTunes gives you an abrupt end, not a fade-out. If you play back with "Cross-Fade" turned on, you will not notice it. Cross-Fade can be turned on in Edit > Preferences > Playback.
Note that Cross-Fade causes overlap, so will affect the timings.
If you actually want to edit the file to have a fade-out, you will need 3rd party software such as MP3 Trim, or Audacity, and then put the editied file into iTunes.

Change the capture time.

I own a Sony camera with GPS and I use the characteristic to adjust the camera time in relation with the time zone. It is very useful because I can complement the pictures taken with my Nikon DSLR when they have been imported with Lightroom as I organize and rename them with the capture time.
The problem is that Sri Lanka, where I shoot my last pictures has, as India, a half time zone and the Sony do not take into account this special event and I didn’t realize it, so my Sony thought that I was in Dacca and not in Colombo: 30 minutes less.
As result of this situation my pictures have the wrong time and when I import them are wrong placed.
I have found the way to change the capture time with Lightroom but the modification is performed in the catalogue only and not in the EXFIF data as the Sony pictures are JPEG.
Please, is there any way to solve my problem with Lightroom?

I had forgotten the special behaviour of the Lightroom with the grid view and I had selected the loupe view. In any case I executed the change with the second option that you suggested. By the way, I think that it is a dangerous setting because you can mistake a tag when imported and you can solve the mistake easily in Lightroom (with grid view, of course) but with a lot of work in the windows explorer.

Changing the OS date/time will have no impact on the data (except for the scheduled jobs at the database and the OS levels). As mentioned in the threads I referenced above, you have to stop the application/database, change the date/time at the OS level, and start the application.
The application is just an interface which connects to the database, so it gets all the data from the database server. However, if you want to change the date/time it has to be done on both nodes (stop all the services first as mentioned above).
Btw, what is the point of changing the date/time because of Ramadan? The business requirement of your client does not make sense (how does it differ from the application/database perspective if you start working at 9:00 AM instead of 7:00 AM for example)?
The steps in the document should be enough, and if you do not trust any of the replies here you could simply log a SR and confirm this with Oracle support.

Are you referring to your iCloud account picture or your user picture?
It looks like you are referring to your user picture. To change it, open System Preferences > Users & Groups, press the picture box and choose the user picture you want from the ones that came by default. If you want to select a different picture stored on your Mac, drag that photo onto the picture box.
If you want to change your iCloud account picture, open http://www.icloud.com and log in with your Apple ID. Then, press your name at the top right of the site and press the user picture. If you put the cursor on the picture box, you will see a button at the top of the box to change your picture

Hi:
Log in and click on your user name, then look at the upper the right side of the page.
Click on the triangle to the left of the "More Resources" section.
This will drop down, and give you options.
Select User Settings.
This will now open a page, and in the light blue type on top, follow it along to Contact Information, click on that, and change your e-mail address to what you want, and hit the blue submit button on the bottom right side of the page.

Changing the System time in the JVM where Weblogic runs

Hi,
I am trying to change the System time where the Web-logic server (11g) runs using Mocking. I use "jmockit.jar" to mock the System.class. A Spring bean is created and through that I try to change the System time. I need to change the time for testing scenarios. For example, I need to backdate and do the testing for some scenarios. For the moment I do this manually and I want to automate this by changing only the time in the JVM where the application server runs. When I try to automate this using the Spring bean, I get an error as follows. Do anyone have any idea about this.

Hi,
I could manage to change the time in JVM where the Weblogic server runs. I loaded an Spring bean from my Test class and from that bean I set an offset (to shift the time) in the Mock class (say, MockSystem class). In this case I used the jmockit implementation for instrumentation purposes. The MockSystem class should not be instantiated by us and jmockit takes care of that part. What I had to do was defining the javaagent and another parameter ("-Djmockit-mocks=com.abc.common.service.impl.MockSystem") in the Weblogic server build XML (mentioned in the following URL[1]). But to work this the MockSystem.class file should be wrapped in a JAR file and included in Weblogic server/lib directory and define it in the Weblogic build XML file as a classpath. Changing the System Time

I am using a SunBlade 1000 and C++ with Workshop 6.1. I would like to change the system time via a program written in C++ without having to log in as super-user. Is that possible ? I was thinking about using the settimeofday function, but according to the man information I only can use it as super-user.

You are correct. Only root can set the system time. You should
probably consult your local system admin or discuss the implications
of trying to do this in the Solaris forum. There are possible security
holes opened up by trying to do root's job programatically.
In general, a C program can use the system() call to run a command
that would be typed in at the shell. A program can also have the
Set UID bit and run as root, but you should be well aware of the
risks associated with that before you try to use it.

How can I change the age associated with my daughter's account?

OK I am sure that this is a common issue. Back when my daughter was about 9 or 10 years old, we bought her an iPod Touch. She was too young to have an AppleID of her own, so I set one up for her using an extra gmail accoun that I had, and entered my birthdate/age. A few years later, she received an iPad, and most recently, an iPhone. All of these devices are tied to the same AppleID.
Well, now she will be 13 years old soon, and I would like to switch things to represent reality. She has her own email account, and I believe you can go to My Apple Id to change the Apple ID name and e-mail address. My question is, can we change the age associated with the account?
I hear you saying, "Just create a new AppleID for her." That may end up being the only solution, but I am trying to avoid having two AppleIDs for her to keep up with. She has already purchased a fair amount of content (music and apps) under the existing AppleID, and I am pretty sure from looking at the posts on this Community that you can not transfer content away from the AppleID under which it was downloaded/purchased. And so, if I create a new AppleID, she will have to re-purchase the content to get it all in one place. As she eventually grows up and becomes independent, I would like for he to not have to "start over" with her AppleID.
Any advice or direction to information would be appreciated.

I have a similar situation however a bit more complicated! It seems that when I was setting the birthdate I forgot to change the year so now my seven years old daughter shows up as a two months old! There is no way to change the birthdate because it shows up in light grey when I login into my daughters account and doesn't allow a change! The birthdate can be changed only when the child turns 13 however according to this she will have to be 20 before she can change it to show property 13 and here is where this is getting completely out of hand! Now to make things more complicated I have twin daughters and they came up with their unique but similar Apple ID, so changing one will require to change both Apple IDs! After being on the phone with Apple's customer support for about one hour I talked to a supervisor and the supervisor of the supervisor and their only solution is to create a new Apple ID! Of course in my case I will have to create two new Apple IDs, and I'm considering doing it. However when I started reading it becomes more complicated because I already made their Apple IDs part of my family group. It seems like you're not able to just let go of family member that is less than 13 years of age. You can only transfer it to another family, so Apple is making sure there are no kids left behind It seems like the only option will be to "abandon" the family and then create a new family with the new Apple IDs. If all this sounds bizarre to you it sounds bizarre to me too! If I can just put the kids in the car and drive them to the nearest one hour away Apple Store and have them show their credentials confirming their birthdate I would rather do that than having to spend more and more time with this issue, but that was not an option pointed out by customer support. So folks keep in mind that if you make a mistake your children's age is set in stone until he or she turns 20 if they happen to be seven at the time you made the mistake and no one can change this, even Apple! Now on the positive side I'm glad I didn't do the mistake when she was 13 or she will have to wait until she's 26 Most likely I'll be calling customer support tomorrow again and I will let you know how it went!

If you are trying to change the iCloud ID to another ID, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.
If you are trying to change the name of your existing iCloud ID and not trying to change to a different ID, you can change the name of the ID as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621. After doing so, you'll need to sign out of the exising ID, then sign back in using the changed ID.

Apple Mail, is there a way to change the default time-out?

This has been puzzling me for some time and I have not found a solution. The problem which I also posted in the Mail forum (though I think that if there is a positive answer it will come through here) is as follows:
I have an email account with on my company's mail server which is actually a Novell Netware server with a POP3 service. When using mail to send mail, I have no problems. When using mail to recieve mail, well, sometimes it gets the mail, and sometimes it does not. Usually, I can recieve mail for two or three weeks then it just stops working. No changes to my system, no updates or anything, I recieve email at one point in the day and then 15 minutes later - nothing. In the Activity Monitor, I see "Connecting to ..." then "Sending Password" then "Checking for Messages", then (after a while) it beeps as if it did not find any messages to download (no error!).
Some weeks later, after suffering with webmail, suddenly, it works again. This usually coincides with maintenance on the server, but not always. It also seems to correspond with a general improvement of the server performance. But eventually, the cycle starts over again with mail suddenly not able to find any new messages for that account.
I use dial-up at home, ethernet LAN at work, and DSL at our satellite offices. When it works on one it works on all. Also note that my other email accounts (not in any way connected to my company) work as they should at all times and in each setting.
Is it possible that mail simply times out before the messages are discovered. The Novell server used for mail is by no means known for its performance. If so, is there anyway to change the default timeout in mail for "Checking for Messages"?
Things I have tried:
I have dumped the "MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded" and "MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2" files to no avail.
I have changed computers (I recently upgraded from a ti400), reinstalled the OS, upgraded from 10.2.8 to 10.3.x to 10.4.3, and removed and recreated the mail account (multiple times), all to no avail.
Based on the above observations, I feel that it may be that "Mail's" "Get-mail" function is timing out before new messages are discovered on a very slow server. Is there any way to change the default time-out to evaluate this hypothesis?
Any help would be appreciated.
