Do i need to drop index even when i drop data in data target

Hi ,
I am having a PC and i am dropping entire data in my data target. do i still need to add drop index to my process chain.
Can any one tell me what extactly happens if i drop data in a data targets and what happend if i drop the index? which tables it will be affecting.

Since you are dropping the whole table then there is no need to keep the index, deleting indexes is necessary only if you are loading data to the cube which has already data so that performance of data load won't be affected. Every time when you have data and don't delete the index, each record need to align properly with the existing indexes which will slow down data load, but if you delete indexes then no time will be spent on aligning exact position of the data and recreating index at the end of the data load doesn't take much.

Summary:
When Numbers is used on a system with decimal comma a csv file may be good AND wrong
Steps to Reproduce:
With Numbers v2, you introduced an interesting enhancement.
In system using the comma as decimal separator, Numbers requires csv files using the semi-colon as values delimiter.
In fact it’s true if we OPEN the document dragging its icon on Numbers one or thru the open dialog.
This said.
(1) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'semi-colon' standard on a table or on a sheet
(2) Drag and drop a csv built with the 'comma' standard on a table or on a sheet
Expected Results:
Every normally constituted user assume that in
case (1) he will get a perfectly built table
case (2) he will get every cells of a row in a single cell
Actual Results:
In fact you forgot the drag and drop way of use and in
case (1) every values separated by semi-colon are inserted in a single cell
case (2) values separated by comma are correctly spread in a table
isn’t it ridiculous ?
Regression:
Except looking in QuickView to see which is exactly the structure of the file to decide the way we will insert it in a Numbers document, we may use an applescript fair enough to replace the semi-colons by TAB characters
or
to replace the commas by TABs and the decimal periods by commas
Notes:
While I am on this subject, I wish to make two proposals:
(1) It would be fine to format the date according to the ISO format year-mm-dd when you export a Numbers doc to csv.
Doing that, dates would be imported correctly in every countries.
At this time, on an English system, you export as mm/dd/year.
If the doc is open on a system using the format dd/mm/year, the results will be odd.
On a system using the format dd/mm/year, you export this way and so, if the doc is open on a system using the format mm/dd/year the results are odd too.
As every localized versions accept the ISO format (at least on entry), using it in the export scheme would give a correct behavior everywhere.
(2) It would be fine to add the format Tab Separated Values in the Export pane.
TSV + ISO date format would give documents opening flawlessly everywhere.

I used to be able to burn photos onto a CD-R disc. Now I insert a new, blank disc and am told there is insufficient spac available for my selected year of photos. Even when reducing the date to ONE photo, I still get the same message. Confused.

I used to be able to burn a selection of photos from my iPhoto library onto a CD-R disc. Today I inserted a new blank disc and was shown a message that there was insufficient space for my chosen year of photos. Even when I reduced the date to include only ONE photo!- the message was the same. I am at a loss as to why, and what to do. My iMac is about 7 years old and upgraded to Snow leopard. Any bright ideas?

Hello all and thanks for the support.
I have a DV7 w/Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit that is used for telecommuting. The Citrix app I remotely log into fills the entire screen including the task bar of the local machine with the desktop of the remote machine. I never see the warnings of low/critical battery. I have changed the sound in Windows sound control to a more obnoxius sound (ringout.wav) so I hear it during normal hours.
My problem is that most (just about all) of the time the laptop is muted so that my young child is not waken during nap time or late at night when I can actually work. I need the critical battery alarm to umute the sound and possibly turn it up/down to a reasonable volume to let me know that I need to plug it in. Is there a way to do this? Or even put a message on the screen like the volume control stating to plug in NOW.

With Maverick does Spotlight index keep indexing even when you have not done anything with your computer?

I have had lion and in lion the spotlight did not index all of the time like it does now. It seems like it index's every hour. I have gone through the forums and have deleted and rebuilt the index but it always seems to index and take 20min to do so about every hour, even if I have not download anything. Is this a new thing in Maverick or is it something I should worry or do something I have not already done. I have like I said deleted and rebuilt it. I also put my hard drive in and out of private. I have just done a clean install of Maverick and just wondering if this is part of maverick, never did this in lion. It seems to interrupt my TM Backup and yes I have put my external TM hard drive in the private section.

You can force quit Spotlight indexing.
Open Activity Monitor located in Applications > Utilities
Select the CPU tab.
Type mdworker in the search field top right corner of the window.
Select mdworker then click the force quit button top left side of the window.

Error:41453 in log file even when the account data is imported successfully

Hi,
As a beginner, I tried importing ‘Accounts’ record type with 2 records, by taking below 4 fields:
Account Name, Account Type, City, Owner
The email received for the account import request completion has below details:
Total Records: 2
Successfully Imported: 0
Partially Imported: 0
Duplicate Records Ignored: 0
Failed: 2
Against both the records, error : 41453 is mentioned in the log file, with error description as - An unexpected error occurred during the import of the following row: 'Account Name: <name of account>'
However when I query for the records under Account tab, the records are all created properly (with all the values correctly present). I am not sure why am I getting this error if the records are successfully imported? Any help on this would be appreciated.
In import wizard below selection was made-
Select the method Import should use to uniquely identify matching records. You can use either the External Unique ID or On Demand Row ID or the following On Demand predefined fields: Account Name, Location
* External Unique ID
If the unique record identifier of the record being imported matches a record already in On Demand:
* Don't Import Duplicate Records
If the unique record identifier of the record being imported does not match a record already in On Demand:
* Create New Record
The import process may encounter field values that do not match the picklist values for fields in Oracle CRM On Demand. Please decide how to resolve these conflicts:
* Don't Import Field Value
This option allows you to decide if import should create a new record for missing associations (related records) in your data file.
For the current import, this option will apply to the following associated record fields: Parent Account
* Create Associated Record

If you are inserting Contacts. Account for that Contact is an Associated Record.
And if you gave 'Create Associated Record’ it will create Accounts for that Contact if it didn't find a matching Account and insert the Contact.
If you gave ‘Don't Create Associated Record’ it will not create Account and the Contact.
Its better to give ‘Don't Create Associated Record’ since the Account you gave in contact is case sensitive.
So if u give 'Create Associated Record’ then while inserting contact if the account is not exactly matching even though it exist in some other case(lower/upper)
it wont map to that account which you meant and will create a new Account and map it to that contact.

Do you have voice service? If you have voice service but just no cellular data service, I would suggest calling your carrier as you may just have an improperly provisioned account with them, or a bum SIM card.

I want my pictures and videos to be sorted by the time and date they were taken. I have Lilghtroom sorting by the creation date, but the videos are sorting separately from the pictures even when the creation dates indicate they are out of order.

I have set the sort order to be by the creation date of the pictures and media I have in the catalog. But the pictures appear first, in chronological order, then some of the videos follow, in their chronological order, but the videos and pictures don't mix amongst each other in straight chronological order. How can I fix this?

I think it’s only possible to see raw and jpeg stills side by side e.g. in true chronological order after setting LR prefs. Your video files will automatically show up in the Video smart collection. So you can view them in one place regardless of which folders they are stored in. Otherwise move your images and videos into a new collection and drag them into the order you want, where they will remain fixed. Or use the library filter to define a date range.

Hiding rows/columns completely in SSRS tablix even when they have data

I have several columns and rows in my tablix. I don't want to see all of them at once. I am using a parameter that controls the visibility of the columns or rows of the tablix. The issue is that it hides but the white space is left.
How do i take out that white space?

Is the columns inside a group?If yes you've to set visibility property for group too in addition to rows and columns.

Key Figure doubles in value when loaded to data target

I have added a key figure to a copy of the standard inventory cube 0IC_C03. When I load the key figure it has the correct value in PSA but doubles in value when loaded to the cube. The mapping is one to one, why is this and how can I resolve? Thanks

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. It happens at random time and a restart of the computer is all that helps, then with out any notice it starts to do this again. Mac Book Pro i7 2.2 16 GB 1333 Ram, (2) 450GB SSD both internal to machine. At this point I am losing file because I am unable to save in the file type I need. Does anyone out there know how to solve this issue?

I haven't been unify photoshop much in the past month, but I did try your suggestion and it seemed to work for a while. Today when i went to save a document the same thing happened: click on file>save at this point I can not click on save even though it is highlighted. Tryed to use command s that brings up the save dialogue box, but when I try to change file type I again cannot select it from the drop down menu.

Once I was talking to a dba in a conference.
He told me that not always I have to create indexes for a single table, it depends of its size.
He said that Oracle read registers in blocks, and for a small table Oracle can read it fully, in a single operation, so in those cases I don't need indexes and statistcs.
So I would like to know how to calculate it.
When do I really need to create indexes for a table?
If someone know any documment that explain that, or have some tips, I'd aprecciate.

Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.
Sorry but you are stuck without new hardware.
