Changes in an INCLUDE Program not being transported

Hi all,
I have done some changes in the main program of a sapscript form in SE38. This main program calls an INCLUDE program, in which I have done some changes also. But when I transport the program, the changes done in the INCLUDE are not being transported, but only the changes in the main are transported!!
Can anyone tell me why? I generated both the main and the INCLUDE but it still is not ok.

[Xcode] Error from Debugger: Program not being run

All of a sudden my Cocoa-AppleScript projects are not being run with *Build and Run* in Xcode 3.2.2. Well, most of them anyway - some old, and some downloaded projects are OK, but projects that ran OK yesterday give me an error today:Running…

No project settings were changed (I don't even use the debugger, just the console), and the only thing that I've done in the mean time is a software update. The only thing new from that was a Java update, which I don't think should have had anything to do with it. I was having the same problem even building new blank projects, but I've since updated to 3.2.4 and reset the Xcode preferences, which at least got the blank projects going again.
I've compared some of the settings between projects that work and projects that don't, but I have no idea what to look for. The built applications will run when double-clicked by themselves, just not in Xcode.
Update: zipping the project files and then unzipping them seems to fix the issue, but I would like to know what to look for that could have caused this problem.

AHA! Well, although I could have sworn I ran some of these projects from their current location, the problem wound up being related to characters in the name of one of the containing folders.
I sometimes use leading spaces in the folder names to get them to sort to the top of the list, but even doing that you sometimes need to use additional characters to get the items to sort in the desired way. One of the characters I used (a tilde) seems to get expanded by one of the underlying utilities - my archived projects were in this folder, while other downloaded examples (and copies I had made to other locations) worked since they were outside of the problem folder. It was weird that pretty much everything else ran correctly, though.
Lesson learned - do NOT use characters that may be special to a shell script in any of your project file paths.

How to change the character set encoding not being a superset one

HI, i have a fresh installed database, but i realize the character set support in my client is not good enough, since its a not production database i want to change the character set encoding to anothor one not being a superset of the old one.
I have tried the "ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET WE8MSWIN1252" but it fails claiming i need a superset one.
I guess its just a single steps to do it, i have all the privileges, just not the time to reinstall and setup everything.

Do you know what that does to the existing data, though? My hunch would be that any characters which have a different binary representation in the source & target character sets would be corrupted.

Registered Server Program not being registered?

Hi,
first of all, I'm an ABAPer, not a Basis guy, so i apologize if i'm not giving all the info required to solve this issue.
We have a program that's scheduled to run every morning at 4am. This program calls an RFC to XI and sends data to an external SQL database.
it seems that EVERY Sunday, after full backups, the initial run of this program fails. If it fails, the job is run up to 3 more times. Almost 100% of the time, one of the successive runs works.
And when I say a successive run works, I mean a duplicate job that's been kicked off, literally less than 1 minute later, will run fine.
Also, the job will sporadically fail during the week on its first run, yet successive runs will work.
it seems to me that there is a problem registering the program that my ABAP program calls.
any ideas on what I ask my basis/XI team to check for?

We don't understand why this program fails to register itself a few times per week.

Extract Structure not Being transported with custom Datasource

I'm having trouble transporting a custom datasource from BW 3.5 dev to QAS. The datasource is coming through and showing up in RSA6 but when I click on it I get the following error:
"The extract structure ZOXDBW0123 of the DataSource ZRSPCTRIGTEXT is invalid
Message no. R8444
Diagnosis
An invalid extract structure has been assigned to the DataSource. An extract structure has to be active in the DDIC. It cannot be a view, since the customer is not able to add append fields for filling in the customer exits to a view."

Thanks for your input. We managed to get through one of the errors on about the 8th try to transport everything together. It might of had something to do with the way things were being grouped in the packages.
So now were just getting an RJ044 Error: "ZRSPCTRIGTEXT: Only tables and views are permitted for extraction".
I think it may be some kind of program error after all, cause our basis consultant took a look and couldn't figure it out at all either. The transport says that everything is going through, but the view were extracting from is still not showing up in QAS. He suggested we blow everything away and try building the datasource again from scratch. So if we can't figure it out today we may try that route tomorrow.

Server name change leads to Server.app not being able to add users/groups

I changed the name of my server from vanroodewierda.rna.nl to rna.nl. I recreated my DNS setup (only used on the LAN) and everything works. I do have one problem, though: in Server.app, it is impossible to add/delete users and groups. (Yes, I can use Workgroup Manager, but this situation makes the system less robust, certainly, so it should not persist)
changeip -checkhostname says all is well:

There is one stupid thing I might have done myself that caused this. In WGM in my Machines directory there was a machine called vanroodewierda.rna.nl$, I removed that and replaced it with the same MAC address and the name rna.nl$. Might the following have to do with that?

- I know about the split-horizon DNS, it is by design so that, say, mail.rna.nl on the LAN resolves to the same machine as on the WAN and people can take their laptops anywhere and mail 'just works'.
I tried this in Server.app (last night also). I now changed from rna.nl to rna.nl to vanroodewierda.rna.nl and back to rna.nl. (I did this because a change to the same might be ignored by some services and I wanted to force them). In the system log I notice (esp. the first 4 lines):

Problem remains, but I wonder: can I remove the identities in Keychain that may be messing things up? And if so, which ones? Some are even duplicated in System and login key chain.
(never mind the weird whitelist domains Server creates, I'm managing that by hand anyway)

Requisition change order workflow - custom wf not being picked

Oracle Standard Requisition change order workflow doesnt meet the client requirement.
so we had to customize the poreqcha workflow.
Steps
1. Changed poreqcha.wft and complied using another name.
2. Associated the workflow in document types. ( Purchasing Super user>>setup>>purchasing>>document types)
Attached the new item-type to "Change Order Request Requisition"
3. Create a req approve it, auto create a PO and approve it. Now log in as requester and change the requisition
It still follows the standard workflow and not the custom workflow.
Please assist is there are any settings which i'm missing.

See "How to Change the Top-Level Process for the POREQCHA - Requestor Change Order Approval? [ID 423078.1]" for Oracle's opinion on this. We have modified the top-level process directly. Neither solution is ideal.

Changes to printed doc layout not being saved (Robohelp 8)

Whenever I make a change to the TOC in my printed document layout, (i.e., deleting a page or reorganizing the pages), the change is not saved. I have to completely rebuild that chapter. This worked fine in version 6, but is a consistent problem in version 8.

I don't think we're communicating well.
I understand that I only get the Save option if I access the layout via Properties, and that I only get the Finish option if I access the layout via Generate. Those are the two methods I am using. And neither of them will retain the changes I make to my printed document layout.
Please try these steps yourself and let me know if the change is saved for you:
1. Open the CCC sample project.
2. Open the Style Mapping printed document layout, using Properties or Generate.
3. Use the down arrow icon to move the page titled Celebrations beneath the page titled Phone Numbers.
4. Click Save or Finish.

Video Editing changes to inpoint and outpoint not being saved when exporting.

I'm editing .mov 1080p video clips from my DSLR in Lightroom 4.4. I,m using the slider bar to set a new "inpoint" and "outpoint," shortening the video. When I export, I am using the original format and new file name. Lightroom tells me the video is shorter in length, but when I play it back in Windows, the new file is the original length. What am I failing to do/see here? I'm using Win 7

In my experience when you export in the original format (MOV) you lose all adjustments, including length shortemimg.
Maybe someone can explain what the use is of this setting?
The adjustments are only reflected when exporting as H.264 (MP4) and maybe DPX which I never have used.

First of all, Because of include programs not executable by any where, its mandatory to attach all the includes to one main program which is to be usefull for business or enduser purpose. Here only unicode concept will occurs whether the server is being used in only one country or many. if its used in only one country no need to go for unicode active checks, iff the server is used in more than one country, its mandatory to go for unicode checks active.

So exactly what do you mean changes in the database not being logged?
Are you doing insert, delete or updates and they are not being committed?
Are you droping tables, creating tables, creating users and they are not appearing in the database?
What do you mean logged? Logged in the audit table (file)?
Please give more details.
If they are transactions, make sure they are being committed.

New Zen Touch not being detected by Windows

I just bought a 20 gig Zen Touch off ebay, and tried to get it to run.
The firmware on the Zen tells me it's version 2..0, which is the PlaysForSure version. So, I downloaded the driver specific to PlaysForSure, and tried to run it. It looked like it installed just fine, but when I plug in the player, it just recognizes it (at the start) as Creative Zen Touch, and opens up the Found New Hardware wizard. So, I don't think it recognizes my Zen.
This, of course, leads to all the programs not being able to recognize my Zen, either, and to me not being able to reload the firmware (just in case), or anything of the sort. Not really sure how to proceed, and I've been scanning the help files, which have been no help. The knowledge database seems to suggest that Windows XP will just load the proper drivers, which, of course, it doesn't.
How do I proceed? I thought this would be the answer, but it presumes that Windows will detect the device as an MTP, and somehow just find the right driver, which it doesn't.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to where I go from here. The drivers aren't installing, and the closest I can get is my Device Manager showing the Creative Zen with a big yellow question mark next to it, because the drivers aren't installed properly.
Help?

Try downloading and installing the latest drivers, Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03.
Also try running a disk cleanup from rescue mode.

Parent members not being updated when running AGG

I have a scenario where eventhough the bottom level members change the parent members are not being updated when we run an agg
For example if the bottom level member was 150 and we run the aggregate the numbers are fine. If the bottom level member was changed to #Missing then the parent members are not updated when we run the agg
IN the script below we use CALC DIM(COstCenters,SpaceTYpe)
My concern is the setting SET FRMLBOTTOMUP ON i use, because it looks like it's skipping that block. HOw can work around this issue without affecting the performance too much. For example using SET CREATEONMISSINGBLK ON might help, but will have a performance impact

yes Aggmissg will work with from bottom up. As for performance, believe it or not, having Aggmssg on is quicker that off. That is because when off, it has to look at the children blocks to determine if there are data values present that need to overwrite the parent value where hen it is on, it does not look it just does it.

Changes in the value of the Arc property "Include in DDL Script" is not being saved.

I have arcs in my design that I want that the automatic DDL code not being generated because the FK are compound and the code generated for the validation of the arc in these more complex cases is not correct, so I created an explicit constraint on the table for this validation.
But the problem is that the Arc property "Include into DDL Script" is not being saved into the design.
If I unchecked the option for the arc and generate or preview the DDL the arc code is not generated.
But when I save the project, close and reopen the arcs have this option enabled again.
I've been checking the xml files for the arcs and this property is not being included, then by default generates always.

Hi,
Could you please help me.
I required to know if a program is being executed in a specific moment.
If you know any table or a function, than indicates if a program is being executed in that moment please tell me.
I search for a function and found this one, but i dont know how to use it.

You can use transaction code STAT
writer/painter reports -view stats via SE16 in table T803J
reports and transactions execution info is stored in table MONI.
