Changing BPEL Process name

Hi All,
I am facing a big dilemmma. I made a BPEL Project & its running fine. But we have a requirement to change the BPEL Process name. Any hints how to do that. All BPEL Gurus invited...... Or else I have to recreate the process again??????

I too would want to second the thought of Nilanshu that, the BPEL designer doesnt have a cleaner way to change the name. manual change of the name of files and references inside file is the only way to get away with this.
If you are lucky to be on Unix platform you could use sed and if not try sed for windows (Disclaimer: I have not used sed for win...dont know learning curve would be bigger than manual change n replace)
Thanks

  • Change the process name in Windows

    Hello,
    I wondered if there are any JVM commands which changes the process name of a java-application running in Windows?
    I am running several java processes and I would like to identify them in the taskmanager list or tasklist.exe

    Check out the jps utility in JDK5.0 (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/share/jps.html). jps -l is probably what you want. It will list applications that are running with 1.4.2 too.

  • Wants to change BPEL Process Version Number while compiling

    When I build the process via Jdeveloper, It creates the jar file with the name of *BPELProcess11 v201109_17__42581.jar* .But my requirement is each and everytime I compile the process Its name should be like this BPELProcess11_v1.jar. I have changed the build.properties file but still unable to find the solution even change the *.jar file.
    Thanks

    Hi',
    I doubt if this is possible, Still Gurus can confirm this.
    Right click on your project > Project Properties > Deployment
    Deployment Profiles > <project-name>(SOA-SAR File) > click EDIT > General.
    This is where your .jar file name gets created, I doubt if this can be modified, or if there is a way to edit this.

  • Changing database connection in bpel process

    Hi i have a problem and three different choices.
    Problem:
    i have an application made in oracle forms that calls an oracle bpel process and interacts with the database.
    the problem is that i have 3 differents databases with differents users to impact that form.
    i have already working that process in 1 database.
    I have three choices and only two are worthy.
    First choice:
    create 2 new process for each database from zero. (setting different string connections to the databases,so the form will call differents url depending on what database is in).
    second choice:
    create 2 new process by copying the first one and changing the process name and the string connection and the url connection (but dunno how to do this).
    third choice:
    Switch inside the process somehow between the 3 different string connections to different databases.
    The first one is not actually an option because the flow of the process is really large and have a huge amount of variables.
    If someone could help me i would really apreciate it. THANKS!

    what I understood is that your forms may call any of the 3 databases. give a try to Dynamic PartnerLink http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html. You will have one parent process that will be called by the forms. Now this bpel process based on the parameters sent by form, will call any of the three bpel process pointing to three different databases.
    Please explain in further details if my understanding is wrong.

  • Renaming an already existing BPEL Process

    Hi,
    We have an already existing Bpel Process which is already deployed in the Default Domain via the Bpel Console.
    Now we want to deploy this process in another domain on the same Bpel Server but we want to change the Name of the bpel process ..( change the name of the project)...
    Could someone please let us know whether this is possible to achieve and what all steps need to be taken..because there be references to this bpel process name in the Namespace and XSD's as well and also might be linked to names for the variables used in the Bpel process logic..
    we want to change the name of the bpel process ..could someone please help us with this as soon as possible
    we are on the version :10.1.3.3.1
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply..but am just curious to know as to how does it work internally..
    This is how my bpel.xml looks after changing the ID value to ProcessName2 as you mentioned
    <BPELSuitcase>
    <BPELProcess id="ProcessName2" src="ProcessName1.bpel">
    <partnerLinkBindings>
    <partnerLinkBinding name="client">
    <property name="wsdlLocation">ProcessName1.wsdl</property>
    </partnerLinkBinding>
    </partnerLinkBindings>
    </BPELProcess>
    </BPELSuitcase>
    Now here it still references the wsdl with the name ProcessName1.wsdl but when i see on the Bpel Console the WSDL location has changed to like this :
    http://server_name:port/orabpel/domain_name/ProcessName2/1.0/ProcessName2?wsdl
    and the end point location has changed to :
    http://server_name:port/orabpel/domain_name/ProcessName2/1.0
    Now in the bpel.xml it is still referencing the wsdl with old name but while deploying from the jdev to the bpel server it has changed to the new wsdl location and end point..
    thanks

    All,
    I want to Undeploy a bpel process using an ANT script, is there any command for that?
    Its a bit urgent.

    Hi All,
    I got a solution for this...
    <undeployBPELProcess
    User="${admin.user}"
    Password="${admin.password}"
    Domain="${domain}"
    Process="${bpel.process.name}"
    Rev="${rev}"
    Opmnrequestport="${opmn.requestport}"
    Oc4jinstancename="${oc4jinstancename}"
    hostname="${http.hostname}"/>

  • Process name

    Hi, how can I change the process name?. I mean on the instead of appearing java.exe may appear something like MyGame on the process list inside the task manager.

    That's a Windows question. Microsoft has a website totally devoted to Windows questions.
    My feeling is that the answer is "You can't". The reason for this feeling is that when I look in Task Manager, I don't see anybody else who has done it.

  • How to change a Async BPEL process into Sync bpel process

    Hi All,
    Can we change a bpel process which has been created by choosing the template as Asynchronous BPEL Process and after my requirement has
    been changed i want to change my bpel process into synchronous bpel process. Is it possible to change the process or else we have to delete the whole process and once again we have to create a bpel process with synchronous template.
    IF it possible to change the process from Async to sync how. is there any demo link on this. If possibel can anyone share a link on this.
    Regards,
    CH

    Diff between ASYNC & SYNC
    Composite.xml
    SYNC: In service part in only interface.wsdl & binding.ws will be there
    ASYNC: in service part interface.wsdl & binding.ws and one more callback binding.ws is there.
    In .BPEL FILE
    SYNC: In Partner Link name, partnerLinkType, MyRole will be there .
    ASYNC: In partner Link name ,partnerLinkType,MyRole,Partner Role also will be there.
    *.WSDL File*
    SYNC: in portType Input & Output both are there , in partnerLinkType only one role is there i.e Requester Role no provider.
    ASYNC: in portType only Input will there,in PartnerLinkType two roles will be there ProviderRole n Requester Role.
    Also change the activity in the BPEL from Reply to Invoke in the end.
    Respective to your requirements you can change your BPEL to Sync/ASync.
    I hope it will help.

  • How to change the input and output schema in BPEL process

    hi',
    Please tell me how to change the input and output schema in BPEL process after the process is made.
    thanks
    Yatan

    If your intention is just changing the content you are passing to bpel/returning from bpel
    Here is another way
    just update your default created xsd files with new elements, update wsdl elements in message definition and chnage bpel code to reflect new elements in activities

  • How to get the read input file name in bpel process using File Adapter.

    Hi,
    I am reading a .txt file from configured directory using File Adapter.
    I had configured file adapter to read file with naming pattern “SalesOrder.*\.txt”.
    Now I had requirement to access the actual file name in bpel process eg: “SalesOrder123.txt”
    How can I get the file name in bpel process.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Vidya.

    1) create a variable of message type. Click on Browse Message type. Here you select Message Type-->Project WSDL Files -->fileAdapterInboundHeader-->Message Types-->Inboundheader_msg. Then click OK
    2)Next dbl Click on teh receive Activity which is receing your File from teh File Adapter. Go to the Adapter Tab. Click on Browse variable and select the variable that you had just created above.
    This would get the File name in the variable declared

  • Looking for screen to change Supplier User Registr.. workflow process name

    Hi,
    The question relates to Supplier User Management.
    Does anybody know if there is a page where you can pickup the workflow (the shipped one has internal name POS_REG) process name for supplier registration?
    Thank you.
    Anatoliy

    Hi Bala
    What enhancements were you adding to the Workflow Reassign/Delegate feature, which included being able to add comments? A good idea is to look for any differences between how workflow implements the reassign feature, and your customization.
    Also, make sure you only use the Public documented PL/SQL APIs and do not update the tables directly to ensure no Support or Upgrade Issues.
    Cheers

    I am using Stand alone Workflow 2.6, In my workflow process
    which is an Issue tracking system which is working fine. On Enhancement I would like to create my own RE-ASSIGN function which will, Change the ownership of an issue totally to other user.
    For this I Created a package(CHANGE_OWNER.CREATE)which will show list of Users and Comment field(Just like Re-Assign).
    Here user can pick other user, and add comment,
    once submit for that Item key I am updating the workflow notification table so that paritcular issue ownership will be changed.
    In my workflow process I created a lookup code called "Change Owner". On click of Change Owner it will call the Function
    in workflow process which will call CHANGE_OWNER.CREATE, here
    the workflow process supposed to wait and get the User to be
    changed. BUT THE PROCESS IS NOT WAITING, IT JUST DISPLAYED THE
    SCREEN AND CONTINUED THE WORKFLOW PROCESS. I WANT THE MY
    WORKFLOW PROCESS TO BE ACT AS RE-ASSINGN BUTTON WHICH WILL WAIT
    FOR THE USER INPUT.
    HOW TO DO IT.
    Thanks
    Bala.
