Changing dynamically chart in graphic Builder

Is it possible to change chart dynamically in graphic builder?
like pie chart into bar chart etc

Dear Diana,
unfortunately this is not possible.
The chart title is build from the planning book name + the Show characteristic in the shuffler (+ available nav. attributes of the Show char).
The functionality you requested doesn't exist in standard.

  • How to create a Dynamic UI that can work as a Graphic builder

    Hi Guys
    I have a requirement here
There should be a Graphic Builder ...........like the way we see our Flex Builder
But this should be a web application with the following functionality
Lot of widgets on your left panel like say meter , cricle, chart, line graph etc. All this would be a different flex widgets(say compiled swf file loaded separately in the main application
On the right Panel there would be dash board where they can drag and drop this above widgets and create a separate page like dragging a chart. user would be given option to configure the points for chart ....................and the data for the live chart would be feed from the backend
Now I am little confused to how to go about ?
Creation of separate widgets is ok ?
Creation of applcation with this widgets is ok
Giving an option to drag and drop , configure is ok ?
But the main thing is that If we have to save the pages created by different user ? What is the best way to do that ? Do we use xml to save the customized widget pages including the UI layout information like widget Graph at coordinate x= 120 and y=56 etc etc then parse these xml to get the Layout back and putting the widget back to their location as the way the user created those pages
    Any suggestion ..................

assign your library images each a class.  you can then use the "new" constructor to create instances dynamically.

  • CHART BUILDER ERROR WHEN TRYING TO GENERATE DYNAMIC CHARTS ON A JSP PAGE

I'm working with J Develop 9.03 on Windows 2000 Professional Edition.
I'm using the JSP demo files provided with Oracle Chart Builder to generate
dynamic charts. The user specifies the query parameters, including the date
range and the query results are returned by means of a line chart (with date on
the x axis and values on the y axis).
When trying to compile the project I get the following error messages:
Error(165,2): class FileOutputStream not found in class _graph
Error(170,5): class File not found in class _graph
Error(176,4): exception java.io.IOException is never thrown in the
    corresponding try block
I checked to see that the chartbuilder library (chartbuilder.jar) files are
loaded into the project library. It's unusual that the class is not being
found. I don't understand why. I developed my project using the following steps:
    1. Unzipped Chart Builder installation files into c:\Oraclechartbuilder
    2. Loaded chartbuilder class library
    c:\Oraclechartbuilder\chartbuilder\lib\chartbuilder.jar into J Developer class
path (by selecting <Project Settings> <Paths> and browsing to the
    chartbuilder.jar file).
    3. Created a new JSP page in J Developer (graph.jsp)
    4. Copied JSP code syntax from the Word Pad demo file and pasted into graph.jsp
    5. Changed the DB connection parameters and static directory location on the
    JSP page.
    6. Compiled the project and received the above errors.
I would like to know why the classes are not being found and how to fix the problem. Thanks, Jaafar

    Hi mshah101,
This can happen if the applet is compiled using an higher version of java and the browser is pointing to an older version (even if minor version number is higher)

  • Changing the Chart Title in Graphic View in Interactive demand Planning

    Hi All,
Is it possible to change the Chart title in Graphic View in interactive demand planning screen.
When we go to interactive planning after loading the data we go to Univariate forecast then switch to graphic, the chart title shows the selection at which the planning is done. For eg; If I plan at die level and i select a particular sap material, the chart title displays Die value and not the material value.
Is it possible to change the chart title such that it displays all the selections made in selection winodw, like in the above case both Die value as well as SAP Material Number.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How can I make a label for my chart that changes dynamically when I drag selection of data to adjacent column?

I have a custom budget using Numbers '08 and have labeled a chart in previous versions of my budget but when I tried to update it for the new year I can't figure out how to make the label change dynamically as I drag the selected area to the adjacent column. I have checked Numbers Help and Tutorial videos as wellas the manual and have not found anything that comes close to helping but as I said I had it on previous versions but obviously don't remember how I did it and unfortuanately it is not a very intuitive feature. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

The linkage appears to be automatic, but when broken, does not reattach itself.
Redoing the chart isn'r a long process, though, unless you've made extensive format changes to it. Here's my process, which started with a headerless table wiht the Month labels in Row 1 (and a Chart that had an "Untitled" label on the category axis, and ended with the table and chart shown below:
Click on any cell in the table to activate it.
Go Table > Add Header Row.
Select the cells containing the month names. Copy.
Select the cells in the same columns of the Header row. Paste.
Select the table. If the Header for the current month is highlighted and the month label is on the table, Stop here.  If not (and it probably will not be), continue.
Delete the existing Chart (or drag it aside to use as a colour and style reference)
Unhide any hidden rows used in the Chart.
Select the cells to be charted.
Click the Series orientation control (¡¡¡) to change it. The control will turn 90° and move from the column highlight to the row highlight.
Your table and chart should now resemble the one in the image above. Edit the style as needed and you're done.

  • Form Builder and Graphics Builder Integration

Does anyone have tested code fragments to do the following?:
Send a mousedown event to a chart embedded in a form.
Get back the section of a (pie) chart that was clicked.
I used the genie to embed my chart, and then added some things with graphics builder.
One tested example would be better than the fragments I'm wading through.
    Many Thanks!

I'm running on NT 4 sp6. I'm trying to get OS authentication working with graphics. It works great for forms and reports, but I cannot get graphics builder or the graphics runtime to work with os authentication. I've tried it with developer 2000 r2 and 6i release 2. Thanks is advance.

Is the state of OCCI and OS Authentication still the same? Or has it changed in the 2.5 years since this question was first asked and answered?
I've yet to find any indication that it is now supported, but could I confirmation of that fact?
If it is not, what is the Oracle recommended method for accomplishing this?

  • InDesign CS5 -- dynamic charting workflow?

    Hi,
I searched the forum but I feel like I haven't quite found my answer.  Basically, my organization, in the past, has produced a dynamic 'demographic fact sheet' document for communities in the Denver, Colorado USA region. (example: http://www.drcog.org/communityprofiles/PDFs/ArapahoeCounty.pdf)  This was previously done with an Access database and a mail merge in Microsoft Publisher (I know, I know), but we would like to bring this process into CS5, since our graphic designers work in InDesign CS5 and would like to redesign the look and feel of this document while automating this workflow so that it isn't as time-consuming as manually copying and pasting charts for each community.
What kind of workflow would most easily produce a document like this?  It is essentially a mixture of charts and graphs along with some dynamic text.  I've read about Data Merge and XML, but I'm not sure about the charting and graph part of this -- most of the information I've found online talks about using Illustrator to make dynamic charts, but I'm not quite sure how to put everything together.  Basically, I'd like the process to work like it did with Publisher and Access, if possible.  We basically set up a template and then based on the data, Publisher generated a document that showed the appropriate data  (and correct values in graphs/charts) for every community.  The graphic designers have the CS5 Design Premium package, so they do have access to Illustrator and other Adobe apps if these are necessary.
The data is stored in an enterprise database now (not Access), so extracting it to a CSV or other type of format is not a problem.
InDesign is not my area of expertise, but I want to help with the process as much as I can.
Thank you so much for any insight or recommendations!
    Jonathan

This type of project would be too data intensive for Indesign. ID's data merge and ID's xml capabilities would not be sufficient either. Not to say that Indesign could not be used to create content, but the data portion would have to be driven with a 3rd party solution, something like XMPie.This type of solution typically is postioned at the print end and ties all the components: content created from ID, variable image, variable text, data export file to create custom chart, etc. to produce a finished customized print piece.

  • How to change dynamic text on mouse click of an object

    Here is my Project File.
I'm wanting to change dynamic text when an object is clicked.
I created 3 dynamic text boxes under "Selected Colors" and gave them instance names of selected_roof_color, selected_trim_color and selected_wall_color.
When the user clicks a color (ie Arctic White) and then clicks say the roof, I want the "Selected Color" to display "Arctic White" to the right of "Roof:".
The colorable areas on the building have been given instances of roof, walls and trim.
I used this tutorial to change in the textbox underneath the colors when you mouse over a color.
    Thank you for your assistance.

My first button color is Arctic White and it has an instance of arcticwhite.
The actionscript for the Arctic White Button is:
    on (release) {
        _root.fillColor = 0xf3f5f4;
        _root.brush.gotoAndStop(1);
The roof button has an instance of selected_roof_color and my dynamic text field where I want "Arctic White" to appear is given an instance of selected_roof_text.
Using your suggestion, my main Actionscript now has the following
    roof.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,roof);
    function roof(e:MouseEvent):void{
    selected_roof_text.text="roof";
Looks like I've still got something incorrect as the selected_roof_text isn't changing when I click a color onto the roof.
Can you explain what the F in "roofF" is?  Is that a typo?

  • Drill down in Graphic Builder

    Hi,
Can you drill down from a chart in the Graphic Builder to report in the Report Builder. If yes can someone please help?
    Thanks

    Just a tip:
If you're working inside a af:region + ADF task flows, you have to declare your attributes as a input parameters and after that you'll be able to auto complete inside jspx or jsff pages.

Is Graphics Builder out of the Developer package of Oracle any more ?Yes, Oracle has discontinued the "Graphics Builder product. In order to include graphical charts in your 10g Form you will need to use the BI Graph Bean that is included in the <a href="http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html">Oracle Forms 11g Downloads</a> - Oracle Forms 11g Demo Pack. Download this .zip file and look at the *demos.html* document for instructions on how to use this Java Bean.
    Hope this helps,

The general system requirements for Mountain Lion 10.8 are straightforward:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
Apple also lists which models WILL support Mountain Lion:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
If you do Not meet the build date requirements above, there is nothing you can do to your iMac to make it compatible with ML, other than replace it with a newer one.
    Hope this helps

  • Calling graph from Reports created in graphics builder?

Can you call a graph from Reports 6.0 that was created in Graphics Builder. I know you can call a graph from Forms. I tried creating my graph right in Reports with the wizard but for some reason it does not give me the fields I want to use in the available fields column, so I created the graph in Graphics Builder. Do you use a trigger of some sort. Any examples would be appreciated if this is possible. Thanks

    Justin Beno:
Yes, you can call a graph from inside a report. All you need to do is select the button with the graph on it (not the icon with the wand, which indicates chart wizard). Then draw graph in the area of the report where you want the graph to display. After completing this, right click on graph, select Property Palette, Chart - Chart Filename (this is where you will type in the directory and filename of your graph that you created in Oracle Graphics).
