Changing the Cost assignment
Hi,
I need a clarification.
I know that we cannot change the account assignmnet of the PO item if there are invoices posted.
If I revert back the invoices, will I be able to change the account assignemetn in the PO again?
Kindly clarify?

Why can't I change the cost center in PA0001 using PA30?
Hi Gurus,
Please help. I cannot seem to find the means to enter the cost center in the organizational assignment infotype PA0001. It is showing as greyed out/display only.
As background, these personnel files were setup for time entry. Other infotypes populated that might be impacting it are 0315. We are not setup for organizational management within SAP.
As I remember if I don't populate sender cost center/create infotype in 0315, I can change the cost center in PA0001 using PA30, but if I do I'm greyed out.
Can anyone provide some insights and a possible fix for this?

Then check on PA30 if the cost center field is enabled for you to enter.
If this doesn't work, please put the X back in the table and save it. -

In a report, I must change the cost center for Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order.
In my opinion I must use the bapi: "BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE" and "BAPI_PO_CHANGE", but I don't know how to use.
Is this correct ?

Please look at the documentation from SAP for using this function. I just looked on my drive and can't find the document I used to have for this.
Just setting quantities to zero will not work as all open P/O, S/O, etc must also be closed before you can run the Inventory Valuation Method function. This is all detailed in the document.
I have done this successfully before for a client with over 4000 items, so I have been through the process. Please let me know if you need assistance.

How to do the cost assignement mandatory in infotype 0014
Hi everybody,
does any of you know how to do the cost assignment mandatory in infotype 0014?
We have use the feature COBLT and table T588N for Function Module RP_TIME_COBL_002, and now the field COBL-AUFNR is mandatory, but we need the cost assignment to be mandatory, I mean should be impossible to save a new record without cost assignement. Is is possible using standard functionality or I have to use the user exit in PAI?

Instead of user exit, do as below.
Go to Table using SM30->V_T588M. Give module pool name as MP001400.
Now check your correct variable key for the feature & click on the corresponding Alternative Screen for e.g. 2010 & now go that field & mark that field as required field by choosing the second radio button.

Reason for my question is: We have all prices on price unit 100
and we want to use also the price unit 100 for preference calcalation.
But the preference calculation always take price unit 1.

Include Order number in the Cost Assignment screen in SRM 5.O

Actually i want to dispay Order Number under the Cost Assignment Tab under the Add item screen under Create Shop in SRM 5.O.
The order number is present in Acc. Assignment Item Details but i want to display it in Acc. Assignment Overview screen.
The Template is BBP_PDH_ACC_1000_1 (Acc. Assignment Overview ).
BBP_PDH_ACC_2000_1 (Acc. Assignment Item).
Please let me have any idea or suggestion to acheive the same. It will be really appreciable.

I have tried it and the Order number displays but it only comes after coming back from Acc. Assignment Items Screen.
This is why because, i have used the Structure S_SCREEN_ACCDET of Acc. Item Details screen (SAPLBBP_PDH_ACC_2000_1) in Acc. Overview screen (SAPLBBP_PDH_ACC_1000_1) in SRM 5.0, because the sructure T_SCREEN_ACCLIST in Acc. Overview screen doesn't contains Order number.
I think The other option can be going to the Screen in SAP and we can include the Order number there itself. I have found the Screen and code , where we can do it But Can you please give me an idea, Is there any another option to acheive the same..

Cost center assignment view as soon as the open the cost assignment section
Hi SRM Experts,
When creating a shopping cart we have to click several times to view the cost center assignment, is there a way to have it viewable as soon as the open the cost assignment section to complete their project code information.
Standard Process: Item Details -> Cost Assignment -> Details -> Cost Center (here we are able to enter cost center) - BBPSC02 Transaction
Required Process: Item Details -> Cost Assignment -> Cost Center (here we are able to enter cost center) - BBPSC02 Transaction
SRM Version: 4.0 and Extended Classic Scenario.

Cost centre should be displayed by default if you check the Defualt check box for that user in the org.structure attribute setting for CC attribute. So check the default check box against the CC.
Or
If your user is only using Cost Centre then exclude WBS element and other account assignment for that user in the org.structure attribute then the user defualt to cost centre only. Please note that this applicable only if that user don't want to use WBS element anymore.

Want to change the cost element for a activity type (KP26)
Hi,
I want to change the Allocation cost element for an activity type in KP26. I have already changed the cost element in the activity master data in KL02. Now i want to change it in KP26. I am trying to delete the existing line item in KP26 to create the new line item with the new cost element, but system not allowing to delete the existing one. It throws the error message ""Allocations with XXXXXXX/XXXX (Cost center/Activity type) exist ; deletion not possible". Can someone please help me to change the cost element?

Thanx for you people for helping me. i havin gone doubt here. If i am deleting the existing line in KP26 and create new line with appropriage cost element will it be cause the existing datas? I don't want to go for another activity type, because our process is a complex process exist all over the world in more than 300 company codes. So i want to use the existing activity type but want to change the allocation cost element alone. Is there any possibility to change the cost element alone?

What Nagamohan have suggested is the best solution. But take in mind the following steps need to completed for changing the costing method.
1) Create a new inventory organization with new costing method
2) Move the items & onhand quantity from old inventory org to the new inventory organization
3) Issue out the onhand quantity from old inventory organization
4) Migrate the bill of materials if any to new inventory organization.
5) Migrate the routings if any to new inventory organization
6) Take care of open Purchase Orders, Sales Orders and Jobs.
7) Modify the custom reports which is referring to the old inventory organization.
If transaction history is required that need to be migrated in addition to that.

Where to change the cost center in material document?
Hi everyone,
I have a problem. Last month, I've created a new business area, with its own division and cost center.
In the test client, the whole process of creating requisition, PO, goods receive, cancel goods receive (return to vendor), create sales order, delivery and goods issue went well.
But, today, when one of my users tried to cancel goods receive (movement type 102), the following error message was displayed:
KMXX/KM11 CTR belong to business area M110 not M140.
Since the PO was created for a stock item, there is no account assignment, so I am wondering if I have missed out something in configuration, especially in defining account assignment for automatic posting? Can anyone help?

There should have been some changes done in the system after thr initial docs were created.
Please ensure that the said cost centre of interest is assigned to the appropriate Business area.
The error seems to be an invalid combination of the Business area to the cost centre.
If not then please maintain the same.

Change default cost assignment specification

I do have an organisation which assignes all travel expenses to (project) orders instead of cost centers.
Is there a way to change the default cost assignment (cost centers) to (project) orders on the travel expense WebDynpro?
As there is no project order maintained in any employee related Infotype this should force the traveller to select the appropriate (project) order from a list.
