Changing the event handler format

Hi,
on a custom SGD web frontend that I write, I create some client-side event listeners like that:
eventsView.registerClientSideEventListener(IConstants.SESSION_EVT, "http://host/handler", "_top", "<listenerID>");
When the event is caught by the SGD client helper, a URL like this is opened in the browser:
http://host/handler?name=EmulatorSession&action=added&data=
Is there any way to customize this URL? To be precise, I want to use the hash and the hashchange event to prevent the page from reloading and "flickering". Is this possible? I mean - without using frames?
It is working when I set the handler URL to "http://host/handler#". So the event URL will be "http://host/handler#?name=...&action=...
But it would be nicer to be able to customize it. Maybe to something like that:
http://host/handler#event/EmulatorSession/added/<data>/
http://host/handler#event/EmulatorSession/removed/<data>/

That happens when the stylesheet (.css file) doesn't download for some reason - or takes too long.
You can simulate it with View >Page style > No style
Try control-F5 to reload it into cache. Is is being blocked with something - like an add-on?

Hmm the advice has been not to use referenced libraries - you ignored and did it anyway and you find the advise not helpful
Furthermore the advice is that if you choose to use a referenced library that you assure that the path never changes - you also choose to ignore that advice and do it anyway - and you blame the peopson trying to help you
once again - you have one choice - change the file names back and put the files back in the exact same place - and again you are totally ignoring the advice and instead name calling and attacking the person giving you advice
Maybe life would be easier if you followed advice rather than ignoring it and then complaining that things no longer work
change the name back and you will be fine until the next problem you hit that is caused by choosing a referenced library

Changing the event that starts JTree cell editor

I've implemented a JTree that uses a custom cell renderer and editor. Everything is going well except for a look and feel issue. When I double click on a JTree entry or single click on a node that has already been selected, the cell editor starts immediately. This is way to generous, and I'm finding I'm often editing cells when I just want to navigate the tree.
I'd much prefer to have the edit event be something harder to do like a right click or a triple left click. Is there a way to change the event that starts the JTree cell editor?

DefaultCellEditor provides a method boolean isCellEditable(EventObject anEvent), by default it always returns true. Override that method in your cell editor to only return true if the event is a right click, or whatever you want.

How to change the automatic character format in Message Editor?

Hi experts,
We use PI 7.31, AAE adapter in our scenario. When we use the message monitor in Adapter Engine, we choose one message and open it in Message editor, we can see the message payload with AUTO Character Format: Windows-1252.
The problem is we have some CN characters and they cannot display in correct formats.
So, is there any way to change the AUTO Character format?
The other question is, can we see the message after mapping in java message monitor?

The Quantity field which is used in sales order has a standard Data Type:QUAN
with Decimal Places:3 so u cant change the settings in standard data element CRMT_SCHEDLIN_QUAN
If u want the quantity field without decimals then u need to create a Z data element.

Change the HTML Report format the same as TestStand 2010 SP1 in TestStand 2012

I have a lot of test steps (~10K) that gets executed and the indentations on HTML report format in TestStand 2012 gets too deep. I have to slide the horizontal bar to the right to see the report when l'm in the middle. I did not have this issue in TestStand 2010 SP1.
Is ther a way to change the HTML Report format (style) the same as TestStand 2010 SP1 in TestStand 2012?

We are currently investigating this issue. In order to help us with the investigation could you post a sequence file and configuration that reproduce the problem? The configuration file is located in C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 2012\Cfg\ModelPlugins\ResultProcessing.cfg for Windows Vista / Windows 7 or you can use the Cfg link in the TestStand 2012 installation directory.
You can use the Legacy Model Switcher (included in TestStand 2012) to use the legacy models instead of the new models. The legacy models are more backward compatible, however, this also means that you will not be able to use the improvements in the new models (for example, the new plug-in architecture). If this is acceptable then you can use the legacy model switcher to switch to the legacy models. The Legacy Model Switcher is located in the Start Menu under Programs->National Instruments->TestStand 2012->Tools->Compatibility. Hello Gurus,
Any idea on how to change the default date format of OID?
The default date format of OID is something like "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss .0-0700" I want to change it to "yyyymmddhhmmss.0-0800".
Is there any system property to do the same.
I have provisioned users from OIM to OID.
Any ideas/clues/hints on this.

Change the Event username and password

I am trying to change the event subscription username and password for the Cisco IPS module for the ASA's. I have them tied into the IME, but went through the setup I must have goofed and checked the box that said use same username and password for event subscription as configuration values.

While I see this marked as answered, the answer is vague. It lacks real information about the account that was reset. I do notice that if this event is filtered that the SID is incremented by one for each event.
Example:
S-1-5-21-282.....-....-....-5169
S-1-5-21-282.....-....-....-5170
S-1-5-21-282.....-....-....-5171
and so on and so forth. As it is incremental, there may be an account, local to the machine, for a service that is turned off and the computer may attempt to reset the account when the service cannot be connected. Possibly a disabled service,
a bad entry in the registry.... just my thoughts. If we observe the SID, it is a different account that is reset with each iteration of that event.

Unfortunately, as far as i know, i should tell you that : you cann't call the event-hanlder in another Application if the 2 applicaions are run in different IE browser...
If your 2 component are used in the same IE browser, maybe you can make one interface event, and trigger it in one component, then handle the event in the second component(by reimplemented the former)...
However, from your description, i think, you want to trigger the event handler in another application in different IE Browser...
So, very upset..We cann't communicate between the 2 applications, as far as i know...

Is there a way to "throw" the event handling task

I want to create a ButtonPanel class (extends JPanel), and this ButtonPanel class will add 3 buttons to it (in a GridLayout). But I don't want this ButtonPanel to control the event handling for these buttons, I want the JFrame or whatever container above the ButtonPanel to be controlling the ActionListener for the buttons. If I do this
button1.addActionListener(this)is there a way for me make the ButtonPanel pass the ActionPerformed() task to the container above it?
or better yet what should the "?" be in this statement?

Well.. I can't be sure this is "good design", but this is how I usually do it, and it works well for me, for a few reasons.
1. The ButtonPanel is accepting an ActionListener (an abstract interface) instead of a contrete class such as a JFrame or the actual class. This move allows the Panel to be re-used in similar situations as long as there is something to handle the button's events.
2. The JFrame is the best candidate to handle the event since it holds the other components that this button click is suppose to manipulate. Of course if there are other components more suitable, I would make it implement the ActionListener instead of the JFrame itself.
Of course there are many other ways to do this, such as using an anonymous inner class, but that won't work in your case since you want the parent Frame to handle the event. I would like to learn about other good methods of achieving this as well!

There is a reason we don't say use the "latest" or "best" methods to complete tasks, because they are vague ill defined terms.
Could you return us the favor and tell us exactly what version of Pages on what version of OSX.

Are those components in a SWC? I would expect them to also have a namespace
that looks more like http://.....
