Chat Recording in Presence?

I'm looking for a way or product to record all chat conversations through a CIsco Presence for HR and other Compliance reasons. Does such a product exist or is it planned for a future release of CUPS?

This feature is available on CUPS 8, which was released a month ago.
There are two options: Message Archiver and 3rd-party Compliance.
Message Archiver is a built-in feature on CUPS 8.  All you need is a another PC running PostgreSQL (Freeware).  CUPS 8 will dump the chat history to PostgreSQL database in realtime.  The downside of it is it does not have any reporting feature built in.  All you got is just raw data.
3rd-party compliance give you more features like reporting, auditing and content-based blocking.  For example, you may block sensitive words in IM in realtime.  For now, Facetime IM Auditor is the one Cisco tested with CUPS 8.

So I contact with LIVE chat person and ask them to check the LIVE CHAT record to compensate the losses. They told me that they can't enter the record and can't make this remedy. 
    So, why do I need take resposible for this mistake? Why do I need pay $200 more? Why can't your guys see the record and find the evidences? Actually I only use 20% data of 1GB, why you HELP me order 6GB?

    I recently did a live chat reporting a problem with the app catalog. I mainly wanted to notify them of the problem, find out what was wrong and an eta of a fix. The tech said i would be notified when the problem was fixed. i also had other question due to being unable to use promo codes do the store being down for many hours.

  • Chat History within CallConnector Server/Advanced Client

    Is it possible to configure/setup IM chat recording/archiving with CallConnector Server?

    The Lync client will attempt to connect to Exchange Web Services in order to display items like Conversation History and Visual Voicemail.  If it cannot connect to EWS, it will fall back to a MAPI connection via the Outlook client.  The MAPI connection
    will allow chats to be deposited in the Conversation History folder and display presence information within Outlook and a few others, but the EWS connection provides a richer experience. 
    You can check how it is connecting by holding CTRL + right click on Lync system tray icon.  Then select Configuration Information.  You should see items for EWS internal/external URL, MAPI Information, and EWS Information.
    Unlike Outlook, Lync does not use the Autodiscover SCP to locate EWS.  Lync relies on the Exchange Autodiscover DNS A record to be setup both internally and externally.  Assuming Autodiscover and EWS are working properly, the following are required
    in order for Lync to connect to EWS successfully:
    - User's SIP URI and Primary SMTP address should match
    - Autodiscover.sipdomain.com DNS A record setup internally and externally for each SIP domain supported
    - EWS Internal/External URLS accurately configured on Exchange
    Let us know what you find.

  • Cannot get through to CHAT to cancel

    I have been trying to cancel creative cloud for days now.  The "chat" button wouldn't show at all unless I go through a search on google and end up somewhere in the forum with a link.
    Even then, when I click onto that link for the chat form, I get only this message (over and over again)

    I did get through the day it is due on Dec 7, with clear instructions with the representative who kept on asking me whether I want to keep it if they give a discount.  I had to go and thought that my final instructions were taken care of.  I still have that chat recorded and will paste it here if you need it.  I found out later when I got back to that windows that my request to cacncel has been considered "WITHDRAWN".  Called the bank too but they said they couldn't dispute it until the charge actually shows instead of just PENDING.
    I tried to send an email to FORMSCENTRAL as suggested by some other folks too but did not get an answer.
    What is a phone number to call? Or an email to write?
    I do not use Twitter for this.

    You just register a new name and enter it in the iChat menu > Preferences > Accounts
    You can use the same place in iChat to delete old names.
    After a period on non use AIM actually release old name back for re-registration.

    As Skype does not provide a call or chat recording facility in general, I have not seen reference to such a facility in the Skype Manager information.

  • Recording beta question - seeking in recorded streams and syncing playback

    hi lccs, some initial questions for you as i get started on the beta..
    you say audio and video are saved in separate FLVs on the client server.  does LCCS ensure that audio/video sync is maintained during playback?
    how are the recorded streams delivered during playback?  can you seek into these streams? e.g. if i have a recording of a video chat, can i use a timeline to seek forward and back through that video?
    and finally - i will want to play back a recorded audio video chat between two users.  will LCCS take care of synchronization between these four streams? (two video, two audio) or do i need to build a synchronized buffering strategy to achieve this?

    To reiterate Raff's point - when you setup a ConnectSessionContainer with a
    PlaybackAuthenticator (essentially, a "playback application"), that
    ConnectSession does all the work of synchronizing streams for you. As Raff
    says, you can build a timeline and seek within it - ConnectSession's
    archiveManager exposes all aspects of the playback to you.
    In fact, here's a basic seek bar you could try :

    lastly, as Raff also says, you're not restricted to playing back the exact
    application you recorded. If you had, say, audio/video chat plus text chat
    recorded, and all you wanted for playback was the A/V, remove the text chat
    from your playback application (and delete the chat FLV from the recording
    zip, to save on bandwidth), and your playback app should just work. You can
    also totally re-layout how your app looks for playback as compared to
    "live", or allow your users to manipulate the layout or contents of what's
    being played back as they watch the recording. We think this will allow for
    some really interesting, innovative applications.

  • Lync Contact, Presence Unknown External Network

    I have a few contacts that are using Office 365 Lync, when I search for them in my Lync client they show as "Presence Unknown External Network".
    Once I open chat window their presence updates.
    I am using Lync 2010 on Prem, with a 2013 client.
    My Contact is using Office 365 Lync, based in Europe.
    Has anyone seen this issue.

    It can be something wrong with federation configuration.
    You can check the following points:
    1.  Use the following Lync Server Management Shell cmdlet to check the ability to connect to a federated domain:

    2.  Check if all needed ports are opened. Please check if you can connect to sipfed.online.lync.com on ports 443 and 5061.

    As Karsten says, you will certainly get better results and much more convenience with a camcorder.
    However, if you decide to use your MacBook, the built-in mic can record audio with your video:
      in iChat: iChat > Video > Record Chat records both video and audio.

              tells you how to record using your MacBook's built-in iSight (and mic.)
      Other movie/video recording apps may work differently, but most allow sound with video.

  • Golive 6.0 to Dreamweaver CS3 or CS4

    About a year ago I called customer service and asked if I upgraded Golive 6.0 to CS3 the migration kit would work, I actually still have the chat record with customer service where I specifically asked them if I could migrate. I was told yes so my company purchased Dreamweaver CS3. Of course when I tried the gl2dw migration, it didn't work and I opened a support ticket and went back and forth with support for weeks trying resolve the issue. I asked for a trial of golive 9 or cs2 so I could upgrade and they sent me invalid links. Finally after a few weeks I was just basically told too bad we can't help you, offered me a refund if I hadn't installed the software which of course I had. So I have had cs3 for over a year and haven't ever used it. Now I see CS4 is out and it says that you can migrate from golive 6.0. Is that really true? Have they ever fixed it so you can upgrade 6.0 to CS3? I can't even get the upgrade version for CS4 because I used my upgrade on CS3. I have a company website with over 500 web pages I need to convert. I really need to upgrade to DW and soon. My company buys thousands of dollars of software and licenses from adobe every year, we are a non profit agency and I can't keep spending money on things that don't work! This is extremely frustrating. HELP!

    Making changes site wide can be accomplished 2 ways but in reality unless you are using a dynamic site that draws its page designs from a  central template page.
    In retrospect you may want to consider creating a Library item first for anything you may want to change site wide (The first way). Being that you are not there yet you will probably want to use the Edit > Find and Replace from the menu bar (The second way).
    Simply open up the file you have changed and another you have not. Next (assuming the option is not right in front of you) on the menu bar: View > Code and Design, making sure you can see both code and Design in both files. Then from the menu bar: Edit > Find and Replace. Copy the code regarding the object that you want to change making sure that you copy any opening and closing tags if appropriate from the unchanged file then paste in into the FIND box. Do the same with the file that you have changed except you will paste that into the REPLACE box also making sure that you have copied the same area.
    Make sure Find and Replace Settings are:
      Find in: Entire current local site
      Search: Source code
    Then press the Replace All button.

    I have this mapping the gets deployed perfectly with no errors nor warning during the deployments. The problem is that whenever this mapping gets started or executed it fires the following warnings :

    ORA-01405: fetched column value is NULL
    Warning
    ORA-08180: no snapshot found based on specified time
    I don't actually know what does such warning mean so if anyone could give a hand i'd be grateful.

    ORA-01405 fetched column value is NULL
    Cause: The INTO clause of a FETCH operation contained a NULL value, and no indicator was used. The column buffer in the program remained unchanged, and the cursor return code was +2. This is an error unless you are running Oracle with DBMS=6, emulating version 6, in which case it is only a warning.
    Action: You may do any of the following:
    * Use the NVL function to convert the retrieved NULL to another value, such as zero or blank. This is the simplest solution.
    * Use an indicator to record the presence of the NULL. You probably should use this option when you want a specific action to be taken when a NULL arises.
    * Revise the cursor definition so that no columns possibly containing NULL values are retrieved.
    ORA-01405 is thrown when you attempt to execute FETCH, which was returned as a NULL value, but there was no indicator in use. If you are using Oracle DBMS=6 (version 6) ORA-01405 is only a warning.
    You might try resolving ORA-01405 by substituting a value with NVL function when a NULL value appears, or simply construct your cursor so that NULL values are not returned (you may also specify that columns with NULL values are not received).
    The error ORA-8180 is reported when the time which is specified, is
    mapped to a SCN which is beyond the bounds of a valid scn. Most likely
    the specified time corresponds with a date which is more than 5 days ago
    (server uptime). You can never flashback more than 5 days ago (server
    uptime), irrespective of UNDO_RETENTION.
    SOLUTION: Specify a more recent date to flashback. E.g.:
    exp scott/tiger file=exp_flash.dmp log=exp_flash.log tables=flash
    flashback_time='"2004-06-12 13:24:26"'

    I have a multi family icloud acct.  i am concerned that my chat records can be recovered by someone else on the account.  is that a valid concern?

    Your text messages are only stored in your iCloud backup.  Someone else would need to restore your backup to their device in order to access them. 
    But you should be sure that everyone is using a separate Apple ID for iMessage on their devices to prevent you from seeing each others messages on your devices.  (This has nothing to do with iCloud.)
