Check attachments before sending?

How can I check the PSD files I have attached to an email are the correct ones before I send it?
After attaching PSD files they don't show up in the email... though they are there as I can save draft and then see a list of attachments.
Other files .doc, .txt etc are ok.

You can't, unless you want to go back and open them again in Photoshop. When you attach a document, you should know whether or not the ones you choose are correct, otherwise there would be no point for you to attach them. So why second-guess everything you do?
PSF files may not render in the message window, but that doesn't mean they're not attached.

Also the mail is acting very funny by not getting the rules work in a proper method.  Is ther a software to repair mail.

i did both of them, but still the while sending the mail the diolog box is not showing up and also the spelling and grammer does not do the spelling check.
This problem just started for about 3 to 4 days now.  earlier it was working normally.

  • Check spelling before sending an email, strange words

I have the default set to check spelling before sending an email, sometimes I get all kind of strange words that are not in my email show up as spelling errors. What do I need to change to correct this problem

    Any examples of the words?
Are you replying to or forwarding messages created by users of Outlook or other Microsoft email products? Their messages are full of bloated Office-based non-standard coding that Thunderbird's spell checker struggles (and fails) to understand.
Fundamentally, if you can't see the text that the spell checker is complaining about, it almost certainly doesn't matter.
Next time you get a message that does this, go back to the original message, select it and use ctrl+u to see its source. You may be surprised at the sheer bulk of invisible and largely useless code in the message sent to you,

However, if I just want store the html file in a file system for quich test purpose, how can I store the url and keep a link to the related file.Instead of storing the content in the database you instead store a file system location (either a path or a file url.)
That file system location is where you store the content.Indeed, the file system location is where I store the content which I crawled from Internet. However, it is not the initial url from which I crawled this content. I would like to store the initial url of this content too. This is still a problem. No it isn't.
You have two pieces of data: Url and content.
If you want to store the content on the file system then your database table would have two columns: url and file_location.
    You then do the following
    1. Save the content to the file system. Derive a file path from that process.
    2. Write a record to the database consisting two data items : url and that file path.

  • How to automatically spell check emails before sending

Hi. I have a Q10, and I was wondering how I can automatically spell and grammar check emails before sending. Currently, if a word is misspelled, I get a red underline, and most of the time, if I click on that word, I get this magnifying glass, which I have no idea what the magnifying glass is, and why that comes up instead of options for the spell check. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

BB decided it would be nice to take this feature away. I do not think that there is ONE phone left on the market (other than an old BB) that has a good old fashioned spell check.  There are A LOT of unhappy BB users who really miss and relied on spell check/check spelling before sending.  Little things like this are what made BB's stand apart from other phones.  Now it's just a wanna be iphone

  • Check mail before send

Hello. I have a problem. I'm new with Apple world. Until now I used like Email client Pegasus Mail on PC. My ISP needs for using the smtp server to check email before send it. On Pegasus there was the flag to use it. On AppleMail I found nothing. I can't send mail.
So I'm asking if there is a way to make the login to a pop before use the smtp.
(do a prior POP3 login to authenticate before sending mail)
    Checking manually doesn't work.
    Many thanks and best regards.

This question about the so called "pop before smtp" authentication occurs every then and now. However, nobody every posted a "solution" for Apple's Mail.app. You can use an alternative third party client (e.g. Thunderbird) or change your provider (or tell your provider, that a thing called "asmtp" exists, and there is no need for pop before smtp any more).

  • Checking input before sending request

    Hello JSP-fellows,
I have an jsp-page with a number of input fields which I would like verify before I send the request.
Is there any possibility that after pressing the submit button I go to
a java script input check and if the check is not OK I do not send the request to the server?
My submit button tag looks like this (the ordinare way):
    <td ><input type="submit" value="Submit" name="submitButton"></td>
Can I, in some way, embed an onClick() script in the tag above and not execute the submition in case any input field is wrong?
Perhaps there are some other better ways to do an input check in an jsp page before sending request?
Thanks in advance for you help,
    Best regards
    Danny

Not really a JSP issue, more general HTML.
But, yes you can. You can, like you already wrote, embed an onclick in a submit button. A better approach, in my opinion, is to use the onsubmit function of the FORM tag:
    <FORM action="..." onsubmit="return validate();" >
Let the validate function return false if the validation wasn't successfull, then the form will not be posted.

  • Spell check emails before sending

I believe this has been posted elsewhere, but I am wondering if anyone has found a way to make this happen?  Is this a possibility for future software upgrades?
I do have the spell check feature turned on, and incorrect words are underlined in red, but I find the correction process cumbersome and really miss the option of spell-checking an entire email before sending it (which was available on my Bold 9900).
Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks. H

If it helps at all to get this included in a future release we have several users who are used to this feature on their BB7 devices and sorely miss it on their BB10 devices.

  • Check Spelling Before Send

It's a trivial thing, but embarrassing if you expect it and it doesn't happen. Sure, turning on spell check puts red lines under misspelled words. However it's not easy to correct them on the Z10; you can't right-click the word, etc. On the 9900 and all previous models, it would prompt you for each detected bad word after you hit "send". But now, I found to my chagrin that the z10 doesn't. Is there an option I don't see somewhere to turn this feature back on?

once you have finished typing your word, and are on another word, the misspelled word is underlined by a funny red line. Just hit that word, and it will open a context menu that will give you correct word propositions, you just have to select the correct word.
This acts as in the 9900, but indeed it does not to the "last pass" going through all the red lines one at a time like before.

  • How do I change file names in "Windows Friendly" attachments before sending?

In sending some "Windows Friendly" attached images, I want to change the file names so they are meaningful to the recipient. (I don't want to change the file name in my picture catalog, just for this mailing.)  In Outlook on an old pc, I remember being able to right click and rename the file in the email draft. I've tried right clicking on the image (which looks embedded in my draft), but there is no option for renaming. I can't see the file name in my draft to figure out another way to change it. I'm sure other people want to do this when sending other types of files, so there must be a way, right? I'm using the current version of Mail.
    Thanks!

I'm pleased to have helped, if you are mailing images all the time perhaps you could create a new folder on the Desktop or in Finder/Username store your images in the folder rename the images click Drag & Drop more than one at a time but don't make the package too big!

  • Problem with changing email attachments before sending

In MS Outlook on a PC, when I attached a document from my computer to an email, Outlook created a separate copy of the document. I was then able to open that document, change it as appropriate for the individual to whom I was sending it without having to alter my original. In the OS X mail program (not using Entourage), I can open the document I have just attached, but if I try to change it and then save it, everything hangs up.
I've searched the manual, help, and mail preferences to try to find an answer without success.
Do I really need to switch to a MS product to get full functionality? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Apparently in Mail you can't modify the attached document in the email. I tried it with a Word document. Nothing hung up though.

  • Thunderbird keeps wanting to add attachments when sending

Every now and again Thunderbird keeps wanting to add attachment even when there is no attachment. It just just sits there waiting doing nothing. Cancelling this and trying to resend email just tries to add attachment again. Close the program and re-start is the only way to stop this - any ideas - thanks :)

I'm not an authority on this, but here's a few things you might want to check.
    First Idea:
    - Click "Tools"
    - Click "Options"
    - Click "Composition"
    - See "Check for missing attachments." If box is checked, uncheck the box.
    - Click "OK" to save setting.
    - Tip: Make sure this is the setting on all computers you are using (work, home, etc.)
    Second Idea:
    - Do you have the word "attach" or "attachment" in the message, OR THE SIGNATURE? If so, and if the "Check for missing attachment" is set to do so, when sending e-mail Thunderbird detects your e-mail has the word "attach" or "attachment" - end result you get the pop-up message asking "Did you forget to attach a file?" or words to that effect.
    Third Idea
    - Are you using a pop-up blocker in your browser? If so the pop-up attachment message may not appear. (This is because Thunderbird works in conjunction with the FireFox browser. So the pop-up blocker activates when checking or composing e-mail.) To deal with this simply make a Thunderbird exception in your pop-up blocker, telling the blocker to not block pop-ups in Thunderbird.
    HTML Issue?
You may want to try sending e-mail as text only, not HTML. There might be some hidden HTML code when you are drafting e-mail. (This is just a guess, looking for solutions by process of elimination.
    Reply or Forwarding Issue
    - By chance does this happen only when you are replying to e-mail, or forwarding e-mail. (And if either of those e-mails have the word attach or attachment the program could be "freaking out" when it can't find an attachment.
    - Could it be that your anti-virus is set to check e-mails before sending and there's some kind of conflict? Set your anti-virus not to check e-mails.
    Lastly
    Go to "Account Settings"
    "Return Receipts"
Turn off that you want a return receipt. See the other settings and tinker with those to find what might be the problem.
    Bonus Tip:
    Go to "Tools"
    "Account Settings"
Do you have your e-mail set to include a signature, such as a warning for mistakes in transmission, or whatever.
Is the "signature text" box checked, to use HTML?
Are either of the signature type boxes checked? (attach from a file; vCard). Do you NOT have a signature file, is it possibly pointing to a file that no longer exists?
Simply remove the check mark from all boxes. See if this is asking you for a signature attachment, that's not there.
    Bonus Tip:
I assume you have uninstalled Thunderbird and reinstalled a clean copy.

  • Can I remove hard drive before sending T60 for screen repair?

My screen started developing a thin blue line down the center. At first it only showed up occasionally, and then one day it never went away. It only shows up when the screen background is dark, not white like working with Microsoft Word, etc.
A friend who knows a lot about computers hooked it up to an external monitor and said since the line didn't show up on the monitor, it's probably a screen issue not a graphics card issue. I called Lenovo and an super great CSR said since the laptop is still under warranty, I can send it in to Lenovo for repairs.
I'm happy to do this because even though the line doesn't really interfere with the computer's performance, it is annoying to look at. However, I'm just a bit worried about sending my laptop via snail mail to a repair center (I've never had to do that with any electronic before thank God, least of all my Thinkpad that's generally permanently attached to me).
I asked the CSR if he'd recommend backing up my data - mine's mostly backed up onto an external, but I don't have it backed up anywhere else but the external and there are probably some files that I missed. Also I have sensitive information, passwords etc saved and I was just a little nervous about sending it in the mail because of that. The CSR said not to worry, since he thinks it's a hardware issue and he recommended that I just remove my hard drive before I mail it in. Before I ask my computer tech friend to help me out with that, I just wanted to double check that removing the hard drive before sending the laptop into Lenovo for repairs won't cause any problems.
Thanks so much - I've always been happy with my laptop.

Don't worry -- they are used to people shipping laptops without the hard drive. They just stick their own hard disk in to test that everything is working.

  • Is it necessary to Stuffit or Zip files before sending to print service?

Is it a good idea to compress a PDF before sending it by email or FTP?  I work on a Mac in CS3 and have not had any problems with file corruption, but have read that this is the safest way to send files. Can high resolution for print jobs still be preserved if files are compressed?  Thanks for any input.

In addition to Nina's: no, ZIP does not prevent corruption. However, it's far easier to detect if a file got corrupted because ZIP makes heavy use of checksumming, to ensure every single last bit (*) is at its proper place in the file. A PDF contains similar checks but on a more basic level.
There are some other differences: if a PDF got mangled in transfer, there is no way to open it. If it's truncated, it might be possible to open it (you'd get a "Repair this file?" prompt) -- but be aware there is no way telling what parts didn't get through.
If a ZIP got mangled or truncated, there is no way to successfully recover it, which usually is what you'd want (because you'd know for sure the transfer failed).
(*) Not really, but the chance it misses anything misplaced is something like one in four billion.
