Check in VA01 Material is Discountable or Non Discountable

Hi All,
I Have a requirement in sales order where the Discount is set in condition record for a customer regardless of materials entered in Sales order. However, if a material which is set as non-discountable in MM, No discounts will be applied for that particular material. (on header level, discount will effect all items through out sales order document).Add in new requirement 901 to cater for non-discounted material Under MM material type type: ZDIS (discountable) & ZNDI (non-discountable).
Sales Order processing VA01.
Material keys in Sales order entry, system checks the material type in MARA-MTART (ZDIS or ZNDI) to determine material is discountable or non-discountable item.
Sales order entry will determine material VBAK-MATNR. Which later links back to MARA-MTART.
Should sales order apply any discounts at header or item level, if MARA-MTART = ZDIS,discount is applicable. If MARA-MTART = ZNDI, no discount should be applied at item or header level in Sales order.
Here i dont know which userexit is suitable to use and further how to proceed to continue to solve the issue,pls explain me in details would be very much helpful.

Hi Rajendra
As requirement 901 is already created, code in this to restrict these condition types accordingly.
Assign this requirement in Pricing Procedure to both condition types ZDIS & ZNDI. The pricing procedure is later assigned to the order types.

Hi,
If material is excisable then check in T-Code J1ID whether the material is maintained with material number,plant and chapter ID combination with Mat type and Gr ref ........
And also the material is maintained in cenvat determination if you are availing the cenvat.
If the material is not excisable it will be not maintained in J1ID.

Different availability check for VA01 as for VA02

Hello,
For the availability check, during sales order creation (VA01), the system takes into account the requirements transferred to MRP. In some cases, an order cannot be confirmed, even if there is sufficient stock according to CO09.
If I change the order (VA02) and run the availability check again, now the system can confirm the order.
It seems that SAP performs a different type of availability check during VA01 as for VA02. Does anybody know where in SPRO I can customize the settings for this?

In VA01 system doesnot confirm the order even the stock are available because the available stocks are reserved for other orders which are logged in prior to your order.
There is no separate availability check for VA01 & VA02.
If at all items are confirmed in VA01, why again you have to do availability check in VA02?
When you say that when you change the order in VA02, what changes you have made? Changes to any material data, customer master or delivery dates will again trigger availability check.
In VA02 if you want to see the available quantity you have to click on display availability. Not Check Item availability. If you click on Check item availability, tehn system will again carry availability check.

My customer is bright bar manufacturer,They just buy the steel bar & process it & sell it to the customer.So there is only one RAW MATERIAL.
Their all the activities are mainly based on raw material.So customer wants.....when we enter the finished good system should check the RM stock,based on RM STOCK,sytem should do the availability check...& confirm the delivery date
I have mapped customer requirement,after modifying item category & assignment......
Sales BOM explosion & delivery group is maintained for header material.availability check is on at component level & header level.So now system consider the raw material stock & it conform the dates when i do availability check combinely.
I would like to know how it will affet the MRP incase of alternative BOM....FURTHER PROCESSING
Is it the right practise.....Please reply...............

1 How to check weather a material created is active or not.
2 MIGO standard document has a check button, can we have similar check button in other documents like Purchase requisition.
3 In case of material valuation is Standard (Price control), the costing is done on the basis of the Standard Price or actual cost of the raw material.
I will be thankful for your advice.

There is a Blue "i" button for the Material, pls click that it will show you the current status..

for PR you can see the check button( CtrlShiftF3) beside personal settings

Hmmm...I'm using 1Password Version 3.8.20 (build 31499) with a fresh install (scrape and pave) of Mt. Lion on my iMac and it's working fine.
I use Dropbox to sync 1Password so for my fresh install I simply downloaded 1Password from Agilbits website and installed it.
Have you tried reinstalling 1Password? Depending on how you purchased it, download it from their website or from the Mac App store to reinstall/replace it. (IIRC v3.8.x comes directly from Agilbits and v3.9 from the Mac App store.) You shouldn't have to uninstall it, the new download should overwrite the existing copy.
As with anything else, be sure to run a backup first!

GATP check on a Material Variant of a configurable material

Hi Experts,
In ECC side material variant is created . with reference to a configurable material of type KMAT.
The same configurable material is also used a pricing reference material for the material variant.
The configurable material is not relevant for production has no MRP tabs created. It is also not relevant for ATP check.
Material variant is of MTS strategy and relevant for ATP check.
Configurable material is not CIF'ed to APO. ECC ATP check was working fine. While doing GATP check , it is showing following error and not doing ATP check.
Product for external product number XXXXXXX and
BSG BSG1 does not exist .
XXXXXX---> is the configurable material.
Do I need to CIF across classes , characteristics and configurable material to APO even if I am doing ATP check on the material variant.

No need to CIF across Class and Characteristics.
CIF across the Material ( Guess this material is just one Material). Activate the ATP Model for that material.
You need to maintain "CDP" in the customizing instead of Variant configuration in APO.
This should work.

The availability check is generally used for goods movements(GR,GI,reservation) & not for PRs.

you can create a manual inspection lot, analyze a sample and record the results.
but you cannot have a quality stock and do not do a transfer posting from quality to unrestricted or quality to blocked.
There a many chemicals that are transported via pipeline and managed as pipleline materials, either supplied by a supplier in the neighborhood or even cross country. And it is needed that you want do quality checks on certain materials before you use them.
Search the QM forum, you may find some discussions.

ATP check in va01 should consider BOM components delivery days for delivery date calculations of header material

Hi All,
My requirement is for ATP check in sales order,
I am creating sales order for header material(FG) using strategy group 40.
Its BOM consist 3-4 ROH, each ROH is assigned scheduling agreement.
EX: I am creating order on todays date for FG
IN-HOUSE production time = 5days, GR processing time = 1days
transportation time = 5days.
ROH 1= 1week, ROH 2= 2week, ROH 3 = 3weeks
Now After MRP run for FG's, planned order will be created for deficit stock.
now while doing ATP check in sales order system calculates delivery date = In-house production time + GR processing time + Transportation time.
But components for manufacturing FG's are not considered .
System should throw delivery date = In-house production time + GR processing time + Transportation time + components(ROH) delivery time (whichever is higher : As without this order delivery date is useless).
Experts Please help.

In R/3 ATP check carried at one level material only for which you are entering schedule/delivery lines in sales order.
If you are talking about cumulative availability check then please consider APO GATP.
There is workaround for your requirement by considering Assemble to Order Strategies.
