Hi,
We currently use InDesign and are evaluating InCopy for post-design proofing by the editors. But have a a practical problem with this process:
A two-page article, for example, will have 6 elements (heading, main text, tables, box stories, captions, etc). Longer features will have considerably more.
But when we export the article from InDesign it creates a file for each element. So when it comes to the editor proofing the article he has to check out each element in turn, before turning tracking changes on for all elements and then making changes.
Is there a way to check out all elements in an article in one click and then turn on track changes for all elements?
I appreciate any help as this significantly erodes any productivity saving that InCopy offers to us.

Are you using a layout based workflow or assignment? With an assignment
it's real easy. Just choose the assignment in the assignments panel and
check that out.
With a layout based workflow, select all of the stories in the
assignments panel and then check them out.

I have a SharePoint site where I am using check-in check out feature for one of 'Project' document library.
By default SharePoint supports single document to be checkout for offline editing (when i click on checkout, SP ask for 'Use local draft option' for offline editing), if I select that check box, it take a local copy for offline editing in my 'SharePoint
Draft' folder.
but when I try to check-out multiple files from 'Project' document library, it does not show any form for confirmation, as shown above (use 'Local draft option') and files get checked out on server it self, but I didn't find any local copy in 'SharePoint
Draft' folder. mean sharepoint does not support multiple file check-out feature for offline editing.
Please suggest if we can check out multiple files for offline editing in sharepoint 2010.

These all links talk about the check-in check-out feature, but my issue is that, when I do select multiple files for checkout Draft’s dialog
box does not appear and offline copy of files is does not created. how to fix that issue. -
I need to host a Shared PDF on SharePoint 2010. If it is on SharePoint can only one person comment at a time? I know documents have to be checked out when using SharePoint. I need multiple users to be able to comment in real time and see comments in real time. Is this possible?

I think i got ripped off by this verizon store , I got the 4 line $140.00 edge plan, which I had to pay for the phone in monthly payment, i did the math it was 268.00 total.. At check out this guy charge me $50.00 care package for each phone and sim card which was $10.00 , $25.00 set up with TCP and he said the rest was tax. I had to pay $474.36.. my brother went to costco and did the same verizon deal he didn't have to pay anything...

Multiple Author Check In/Check Out Problems
Using RoboSource, I have issues with multiple author sharing; this may be an IT setup issue or user error, but frequently I will open a project that has been worked on and checked in by another author and the files show as still checked out both in RoboHelp and RoboSource, even though on her station they show as checked in in both applications. I then have to open and jigger around in RoboSource to get everything back in a status I can work with. Does anyone know what setting might be involved or other problem that causes this? I noticed someone had a recent post on a similar problem but then posted that she had experienced a more or less "spontaneous remission". No such luck here - if anyone has a clue, I would be very grateful.

I'm new to the forums, but have been using RH in a multi author environment for a couple years now. I experienced a similar situation between me and another author. I saw files checked in, but he saw them as checked out and so did RS. Turned out I had configured my Source Control on my own PC incorrectly, and my local path somehow had changed midstream and I ended up with 2 folders containing the same source documents, one within the other! Though her scenario may not be exactly the same, it could still be the configuration that is the issue. I would have her delete her local copy, verify her local path settings are correct in RoboSource, and redownload the project as if it was her first time using it. That is what worked for me.

Hi,
my Macbook Air was just beeping 3 times with a pause of 5 seconds continously. I only just managed to get it to stop by hooking it to the power supply and holding the power button for 10 seconds. I was just wondering if I should still go to the apple store and get it checked out, eventhough I sorted it out.
ThanksThat would probably be a good idea to see if something behind the symptom may be covered under AppleCare or other considerations should there be a hardware issue as a cause of this. Usually bad RAM may be the cause of three-beeps, in older Macs. Their product specialist or Genius should be able to help check it out and give you advice even if the unit isn't covered by AppleCare.
With those models with no user-accessible RAM, battery, or SSD, the Apple Store or Authorized Specialist - Genius, etc would be the go-to people.

Yes. Make appointment with Genius to avoid possible long wait. Also any Warranty or AppleCare coverage is attached to the iPhone, so just bring the phone for evaluation.

Multiple people checked out a story at the same time
Had a strange incident today where two incopy users had story checked out at the same time. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. I checked the links, they were going to the same place. One user lost his changes when both checked in the story. How could this happen? Looked like maybe the locked file was disappearing for some reason.

Some of the document libraries I am using need to have publishing enabled and some do not. But the query (for most recently updated documents in the site) shouldn't let the user check-out any documents (only see them in read-only mode).

Clarification on Direct Store Delivery - Check In/Check Out Process
Hi! I am new to DSD and have been getting most of the information from SAP Help. I want to clarify the process relating to the check in and check out of subsequent loads. This may be best illustrated by an example below:
1. A sales order is created for a customer for 10 units of material ABC.
2. Delivery document and shipment document are created for this sales order.
3. Driver picks up the material from the warehouse.
4. A check out of 10 units is confirmed in SAP.
5. After delivery is completed, the driver confirms the check in unit. 9 is delivered and 1 is 'returned' but sitting on the driver's truck (by selecting the remain on truck indicator).
6. Carry out settlement. In this case, the system creates a driver credit sales order of 1 unit and a return loading note (sales order) of 1 unit.
Questions:
1. Is it true that the return loading note of 1 unit created is for information only and has no impact to next day's processing? In that case, what is the use of creating this return loading note?
2. Even though we have indicated that the 1 unit returned is to remain on the truck, it seems that with the driver credit sales order, we are still returning the unit back to the warehouse/plant.
3. Relating to 2, if on the next day the driver needs to service another customer and requires 5 units of material ABC, do we create a sales order for 5 or a sales order for 4 (noting that there is already one sitting on the truck - this also means that we should not process the return on the driver credit sales order?).
4. Do we then check out 5 units or 4 units?
What is the standard SAP solution to handling the leftover check-in units as stipulated in this scenario?
Appreciate any advise on the above.

Can I get my Macbook Pro just checked out and tuned up at the genius bar?
I'm having a hard time getting my questions answered. Basically I've had my Macbook Pro for four and a half years, but it's still doing mostly fine. It's just showing it's age slightly I think, with more spinning wheels than usual and odd things like the date is usually set to 1999 when I turn the computer on, but it rights itself in a few minutes. Also most the time when I plug it in it says it's not charging and I have to try multiple times. None of this is a huge deal, it's just that I really need the computer to last me preferably at least another year, so I worry about it a bit. I do take good care of it though. I'm about to move out of the country for a year, so I'd like to get it just checked out and perhaps tuned up a bit so that any problems are taken care of and it's in the best shape before I move away. I'd like to make a genius bar appointment, but the closest Apple store is a two hour drive from my home, so I don't want to go into it not having any idea how much it will cost or if they'll even be able to do what I'm hoping in the span of a single workday. I really don't want to have to drive back later to pick it up or have it sent off somewhere to be repaired, although if it does have serious problems I'd be willing to do that. I'd just like to know going in to it what the price range is likely to be like. I don't want to make the drive to the Apple store and have them tell me it's going to be a few hundred dollars just to have my computer looked over. And I don't even know if they offer that service, let alone if they can do it in a single afternoon. I've tried calling the store and conversations with the automated person really are not helpful. He just tells me to go online and make a reservation, and I can't figure out how to get my questions about cost and service answered.
Also, am I being foolish hoping my four and a half year old Macbook will last at least another year or two? I have no idea what the "life expectancy" is for these things. I know nothing really about computers at all, so forgive my ignorance.
Any help and insight is very much appreciated.The genius bar technicians can check your MBP for possible hardware problems and specific software issues that you may have. The diagnosis will be free. Any extensive repairs will not be free.
If you have minor software problems, you essentially will have to deal with them yourself. Examine these two comprehensive documents for possible problem definition and solutions. If you encounter problems that you are unable to cope with, start a new discussion and there will be persons willing to assist you in solving them.

One problem I'm having is find the perfect streaming settings for the movies. I did check them on a fast Windows machine and on a brand new Mac at the local CompUSA store. Things worked well on their very fast Internet connection but the longer concept video didn't seem to want to stream. I'm almost thinking to grab some JumpCut or YouTube code and insert it just to get it to work. I know this will put their logos in but I'm just not sure what to do.
One thing I'm aware of and something I did do on purpose is that I made the background images very large -- to accomodate those wealthy folks with the very big, very wide monitors. I wanted never to run out of background "virtual" world no matter how big one stretched the browser window. Also, the necessity to scroll was intentional. Let me know if this is too annoying.

Hi Everyone.
My Macbook has been running fine on 10.9.1. When I installed the update, the computer won't boot up. It stays on the apple logo. I tried Safe Mode, resetting PRAM/NRAM, Single User Mode etc., nothing.
I scanned and repaired permissions on the drive, but everytime the drive itself checks out fine. So I did a time machine restore, and everything works well (10.9.1). Figured it was just a fluke, so I attempted to update again. Same issue!
Booting in verbose mode gave me the following:
The only thing that I can think of from trying to read around in all the multiple posts is that maybe 10.9.2 doesn't like my SSD?If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.

You can try out both branch step and validation step and see which serves your purpose better.
In branch step you can give multiple validation/validation groups,if result is TRUE take the first branch and check in at STOP.
If FALSE,take dont checkin at STOP,either cascade or Rollback as the case be.Also here you can call the same or other Workflow.The split branches can later be combined using MERGE or Group.
Other way can be by using Validation step,setup iteration threshold.here failed jobs will be sent to previous step and passed ones will move ahead in WF.Later you can checkin at STOP and failed jobs would still be in WF in checkout state.

Hello, I am facing two issues one each in Flex application and AIR application. 1. First in Flex application. I have developed an Flex application in Flex 4.0 and is being used by around 10 to 15 users simultaneously. Now the problem is that when all
