Check Sent Email Address

Hello,
I'm new to Applescript and I have a task that I think is probably better suited to this method, unless someone has a better idea:-)
I am using Mail with my Macbook running Leopard. I want to check all "To" fields, To, CC & BCC for address' that contain mail domains that are not internal to my company. So if the destination address is external I want to pop up a warning to let me know that I am sending to an external address.
Can someone point me to a article that will help me get started?

This from Mail's help file -
*Ensuring messages are correctly addressed*
You can specify email addresses that you prefer to use when addressing messages; these are often referred to as “safe” addresses. If you address a message to a recipient whose address is not on your “safe” list, the recipient’s email address appears in red to alert you to double-check it before sending the message. Likewise, if the address of the account you’re using to send the message isn’t on the list, it appears in red.
*To specify safe addresses:*
Choose Mail > Preferences, and then click Composing.
Select the “Mark addresses not ending in” checkbox and then enter one or more safe addresses, separated by commas.
If you want to enter just a domain (the part of the address that comes after the “@” sign, such as “mac.com”) be sure to include the “@” for increased security.
Marking safe addresses is especially useful if you have set Mail to automatically complete addresses as you type and you inadvertently select the wrong address from the list of matching addresses.

Sent email address showing up incorrectly

I use a Yahoo email address via Rogers. I can choose to have the sent email address show as @yahoo.ca or Rogers.com which has worked in the past but as of June 19th. it always defaults to @yahoo.ca even when set to @rogers.com in the default settings.
Any suggetions.

In my MacBook Pro "sent" mailbox emails are listed by my email address but on my iPad the "sent" emails are listed by the sent email address?

On my MacBook Pro in the "sent" mailbox emails are listed by my email address but on my iPad the "sent" emails are listed by the sent email address. Very hard to look at the address where the message was sent to?

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.3 the problems gone.
There is no mention of this being a bug or a fix so im thinking a software glitch was the issue.
When I look at a message in my inbox and it says "To: JB Manz" - I click my name and it shows my contact info including my 4 email addresses and the address the message was addressed to is highlighted blue, others all black.
Not sure how it got fixed but it's working like it used to.

How to delete ALL previously sent email addresses from *iPad*

I use my Apple ID to set up my kids' iPad Minis, which in retrospect was not so bright.
Now when my child starts typing the recipient's name for an email all of MY previously sent email addresses come up, many of which are work-related.
I know I can click on the blue "I" and remove them one by one, but I have over 1,000 contacts - so one by one just isn't practical. Is there a way to delete them all in one go?
Again - this is on the iPad mini, NOT laptop/desktop. I know how to do it on my MBP but can't find anything out there for the bulk deletion on the iPad.

Any idea how the addresses "synced" on there to begin with? Surely there's an "unsync" feature?
My email addresses are not being used on the iPad so it must have something to do with my Apple ID.

Inability to delete recent sent email address list...

When inside composing a new email, iPhone keeps track of old sent email addresses. THESE ARE NOT ADDRESSES STORED IN CONTACTS INFORMATION. THESE ARE ONE TIME SENT EMAILS STILL SHOWING WHEN COMPOSING NEW EMAILS. Does anyone know a way to delete this saved history?

The option to "clear address auto-fill history" needs to offered in future releases without resetting the entire iphone. What if an ex-girlfriend's email that cheated on you kept popping up? The emotional toll would be far too great.

Is there any 100% reliable service available on net to check the valid email address so that the mail should not get bounced back if sent to the email id.
According to jwenting in previous topic, there is one service. Here are his quotes.

He's saying "No there is no such service". It would provide yet another haven for crappy spammers.

Check if email address exists before creating account

Check Primary Email address

Hello,
I was wondering if there is an English call centre I can call to check and see whether my BT Email address is registered with my Broadband account? Before signing up with BT, I had BT Yahoo Premium Mail with this address and requested to move this to my Broadband account but unsure if this has happened.

How to check .me email address availability

I am thinking of moving my wife and me from our personal Google Apps domain account and want find out the availability of an email address on .me for my wife and me. I want them to be similar, such as [email protected] or [email protected], but I don't want to setup one first and find out the other is already taken for the same configuration. E.g., giving me first.last@ and her firstlast@. Is there any way to check compatibility before setting up the actual .me account? I suspect if I choose a name and iCloud accepts it, then she chooses the same format and it doesn't accept it, the process can't be undone. We have a very unique last name so I'm hoping it won't be a problem, but wanted to ask anyway.

In Mail go to the Mail Preferences and then Accounts
and create a new gmail account. When you are ready,
you can delete the Comcast account.
Thanks for the reply. However, when I go to mail>Pref>Acc, I only have a .mail account listed. Nonetheless, I on occasion have things addressed to me on this computer at comcast. I figure I must have listed it in the process of registering my product, or something like that. I tried to go to Apple.com to review my registration page, but I couldn't manage that. Need two user accounts to check one email address

I am setting up my new 27" imac. My wife and I have each set up user accounts but share an email address on this computer. I need her account and mine to use the same email address and look to the same folder so that whoever is logged in can send all emails. How do I tell mail for each user to look to the same folder?

you don't need to share the same Mail folder for this which is never done. just set up the same email account on both user accounts. nothing special is required. if the email account is IMAP then everything will sync automatically with the server. if the account is POP then check the option in Mail preferences->accounts->advanced to leave messages on the server after downloading. this way both users will get the same messages. But if you are accessing the same email account from various computers or accounts it's much the best to use an IMAP email account as it syncs everything with the server automatically.

HT4528 My icloud acount is not verified. When I checked the email address I had to Verify the account it was incorrect. How do I change this so I can get icloud running?

Good morning. I recently got an iphone. I went to the icloud, and it says account not verified, please go to this email address for instructions to verify. The email listed is wrong. Editing list of recently sent email addresses?

When sending a new email in Mail, as I type the address in the "To" field, there is a drop-down that guesses at the address you're looking for based on recently sent messages.
In my case, one of my contacts recently changed her address and now when I go to send her a note, the drop-down shows both the old and new address. Is there a way to edit these recent addresses. I know it can be done in Entourage preferences, but in Mail, I'm stumped.

Yeah. Open Mail. Go to Window>Previous Recipients. Just delete the contacts that you wish to get ride of.

Sent email addresses showing up as new address book contacts

Since I went to iCloud, every address I've sent an email to is showing up as a new contact in Address Book. How can I stop this? Thanksl

Messages are sent email address instead of imessage

I just signed up for iMessage on my iPad ( I do not have a cellular plan) and whenever my friend sends me a message, it goes directly to my "mail" as an email instead of in my Messages app. What can I do to fix this?
