Checkbox fields for generic object.

Hi,
I am building a generic object. In one of the properties ofr this object, I want to setup several fields with checkboxes, so that the user can select one or several allowed values. Does anyone know the XML code on how this can be achieved.

Configuring KPRO for generic object services

Hello,
I have a requirement where I have to configure KPRO as the storage for generic object services. We are using the generic object services for materials and hence using the Business object BUS1001. Please let me know of how to do the same or if we have any documents for configuring the Generic object services and KPRO please provide me the same.

i reply to the question you posted in my thread:
I solved the request without using Kpro. Kpro ist just a more comfortable way in managing documents. But using ArchiveLink and GOS is all you need if you just want to upload documents and view them in a linked transaction. I would be able to give you a better help if you would give a short introdcution in what you plan to do in detail.

Two fields for generic delta

I have to create one data source which will contain two fields for generic delta...extraction of data will be through FM.SAP provides a standard functionality to create a generic delta. This can only be build on one selected field.
The logic of the functional module is based on two fields: ICRDT (creation date) and IUPDT (change date). The module should look for both day because when a new records is created the change date does not get populated in R3.
Can anyone pls help me out?

i have to create an delta enabled extractor for a database table.
The database table (=EAUS) contains the fields "ERDAT" and "AEDAT".
I'm a Newbie in ABAP und so i read some blogs, articles and how to do papers here.
But my tests haven't work:
1. I created a structure in SE11 for extraction. The structure contains all the of the database tabel (=EAUS)
2. Then I created a data element "ZDATE" in SE11. I integrated ZDATE in the structure.
3. Then I copied function group "RSAX" and function module "RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE" in our namespace.
4. I used the copied function module as a template and adapted the coding in the function module. The coding is from the paper "Functional Module Based Delta Enabled Generic Datasource"
But i doesn't work. My deltaenabled generic datasource doesn't get the deltas. In RSA3 with update mode "D" no data records were selected. (I create new records in the database EAUS before I checked the extraction). The update mode "F" and "C" works.
Can you help me and send me the coding of your function module?

Indicator for Generic Object Services

We are planning to use the Generic Object Services functionality to
attach Word, Excel or PDF files to existing documents in SAP. Our plan
is to use this in Accounts Receivable. The issue we have is when we
are looking at the open items for a customer using transaction FBL5N
there is no way to know which open item has attachments. Once you've selected an open item, you can view any attachments but this does not help. I posted an OSS notes and they replied "We regret to inform you that the function you require is not included inthe SAP standard system." Does anyone know how I pursue this to have SAP develop this functionality?

EEWB: Insert New Table with more than one key field for BP object

Hi Gurus,
I want to enhance Business Partner object with a new table with two key fields, one the address number and another a sequence number, because I need to save several entries for each address belonging to a determined business partner. Something as what happens in communication data (i.e fax number)for an address.
I have run the wizard from EEWB but the only possibility that offers you is to create only one key field for the new custom table. There is something in EEWB to achieve this, two key fields for the new table?
Another question is the following: which Badi or BAPI must I enhance to populate my table with the corresponding address number to which the data belong to?
I mean my custom data are filled through a table control that I have allocated within the screen sequence BUA130 (Detail Address). Thus, when a new address is added to a BP and my particular table control is populated within this address I should fill the key fields from my table (address number and sequence number) when the BP were saved. So, I must know beforehand which address number the system will assign to this new address.
I repeat the question: which Badi or BAPI must I enhance to populate my table with the corresponding address number to which the data belong to?

Issue with Safety Upper limit for CALDAY Field for Generic Data Source

Hi,
I have given Upper limit as 1 for Calday field of one of the Generic Data Sources.
I have got a doubt here.If today's load got failed and I will rerun the load next day.So Will that new run captures all 2 days records.
Can any one advise me on this.

A one-day upper safety interval determines that an extraction run today, only fetches records up to yesterday (if the pointer has the day before yesterday date, the extraction comprises from the day before yesterday to yesterday). This is meant to avoid missing records that were about to be persisted in the database when the delta extraction is running but whose date was determined in memory before the delta started.
If pointer has today date value and you want to load data from today and yesterday, you should use a lower safety interval. Take into account that this could reload data previously extracted. Therefore, only InfoProviders with overwritting features (DataStores or InfoObject master data) should be used as targets of this extractions.

Delta field for generic data source based on view EKBE

Hello,
I am creating a generic datasource based on table EKBE. Can anyone please tell me what field should I use for delta. Is it BUDAT(Posting Date in the Document) or CPUDT(Day On Which Accounting Document Was Entered).

BUDAT is the date which can be changed. I can change the date in system and chances are it will not pick in delta.
CPUDT is the date on which document was created/changed.

Delta-Specific Field for Generic DataSource

Hi,
I have defined a Generic DataSource for Transaction data on R/3-Side.
This DataSource is based on View/Table EKKO (Purchasing Document Header) for some specific customer requirements. Delta-Specific Field is AEDAT (Calend. Day). Safety Interval Upper Limit is set 1 Cal. Days. No Safety Interval Lower Limit has been defined. "New Status for Changed Records" has been marked.
When we see this DataSource in Extractor Checker (RSA3), this data source
Extracted all delta data where AEDAT is not blank.
When I see the content of table EKKO, I can find few records where AEDAT is blank.
These records are missing in Extractor Checker.
How I can solve this problem? Which delta-specific field can be used in
this generic Datasource? Should I define an additional Generic DataSource with
Delta-Specific Field BEDAT (as BEDAT is filled when AEDAT is blank in table EKKO)?

Delta based on calday wont pick all the records which are recently posted and you can not run the delta more than one time in a day ,end of the day only you can run the delta.
Set the delta as Tme Stamp and specify the Upper limit to 5 minuts.
We can run the delta no. times and pick the documents posted in short interval of time.

Time Stamp Delta field for Generic Data Source

I have a requirement to create a Generic Data Source based on view. This view on PA0006 and PA0105 tables.
Will you please suggest me which field i have to take as delta field.

Also, make sure that whenever a new record is created in those tables, field AEDTM is getting updated with system date else you will miss new records in delta unless there is a change in those newly created records.

Authorization for generic object services - GOS - payroll data

Is there anyway to restrict what people see via GOS? I can't see any authorisations behind it except S_OC_ROLE. Seem users can view payroll details of a workflow agent in the workflow logs(view with technical details). Its a wild shot that an end user will find this information in the container tab but it look like a massive security flaw.
I will be interested to know if others have the same problem and how they resolved it.

This issue relates to authorisations. Depending on infotypes available to the user, they will be able to view data relating to the info type.
I will now have to review all authorisations to ensure there is no unauthorised access.

Starting Workflow from Generic Object Services in IQS1 Transaction

Hi All,
My requirement is users will create the notification through IQS1 and they will attach the Adobe document through Generic Object service. In the notification Task, they will assign the repsonsible person for that form. Once they released the notification, i need to send a mail to the responsible person. I got the BO (BUS7051) . I created the custom WF and acitivated the BO & WF link. When i selected the Workflow Overview in the Generic Object Serivce, it is saying 'There are no workflows that have already worked with this object'. But when i checked the is worklow log in SWIA, my workflow got triggered.
I would like to know why it was not showing when i selected the same in Generic Object Serivce. How to trigger Workflow throuhg Generic Object Service.
Any info relevant to this, please share with me..

Hi,
For generic object services to find the workflow, the object must be attached to the workitem/workflow or used in the container.
If the object is correctly used in the workflow, it will be visible via GOS.
How did you use the object in the workflow?

Generic Object Services with SAPGui Classic Theme

Dear Experts,
the button for Generic Object Services is available in different transactions like VA03, ME23N, etc. We are facing now the problem that if a user has in his SAPGui the "Classic Theme" choosen the button for the GOS is not visible. The services can be only accessed through the menu (System->Services for Object)
With other SAPGui Themes the GOS button is visible.
We are using SAP Logon 720 Patch-Level 4.

I'm to develop a new GOS menu item, that will show
a normal Open File dialog, and a following popup
where the user can change the document title shown
in the Attachment list.
ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_FILE and ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE
along with ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT should probably
cover the functionality I need.
I know both the BOR type ID and the object ID is
available to me in the Execute() method of the GOS menu handler I'm overriding, but for the ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT, I'm supposed to supply an AR_OBJECT parameter (I know that this information is stored in the TOAOM table), but I have no clue where to get this information for the current object I'm trying to add an attachment for.

Like when we create any user defined field in under User form those fields display on create user form but when we create any user defined field in resource object from those are not displayed in form.

Delta On CALDAY Filed for Generic Data Source

I thought of giving Safety Interval for Upper Limit as 1 and Safety Interval for Upper Limit as ZERO.Would you please advise me on this, This fetches all delta data?.

If your delta enabled field is Date then try this,
Safety Interval Upper Limit Calend. Days
Safety Interval Lower Limit 1 Calend. Days
Then test your delta, will get good result.
I created 4 GDS with this safety interval and working fine for me.

Generic Object Services for Custom Object Type

I would like some advice please. I am not an ABAP Developer but I would like to enable the generic object services for transaction PP01 for a custom object type.
I have searched for information, which suggests that the object needs to be published using the function module SWU_OBJECT_PUBLISH so that it is available in the Business Object Repository. If this is correct, please could someone tell me (in simple terms) how I can do this (with the assistance of an ABAP developer)?
My colleague did some debugging which seemed to suggest that in order for the generic object services to be available, the field OBJTYP needs to be populated in table T778O. Is this correct? If so, how should this be done?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
