This printout resulted after canceling the download and restarting pacman -Syu. Thus the same failure occurs after the original download failure of the same type.
What causes this failure mode?

I guess, this shouldn't happen... but then again, I guess, I really really shouldn't have the machine hibernate while pacman is downloading .
No it should not happen, this is the same bug.
I guess either when you suspended or resumed, your network was down at some point, so libfetch returned -1 and triggered the infamous pacman bug.

If a directory doesn't exist, or is only readable by root, it can't stat it and detect it's a directory, so it'll print it
As root, the only directory it prints is the one which doesn't exist, ie /tmp/ttf-ms-fonts/
because of the special status of the ttf-ms-fonts package.
And as user, it also prints /var/spool/cups/tmp/ , because it doesn't have the right to stat it I guess.
I'm glad i'm doing the opposite of what you're trying to do... That looks a bit more hairy.

How to find which package is corrupted?

Hi,
I'm connected to the net throught a broadband connection right for the next few days and I have the following issue: I'm trying to install libreoffice, and for this, I have about 90 Mb of packages to download. Now because the connection is not too stable, and not fast at all, I had a few tries until I got all the stuff downloaded ( 1. here I mean packman downloaded for me; 2.I set aria2 as transfer command to continue the downloads ), but now pacman says that a package is corrupted and can't install.
The problem is that pacman does not say anything about which package is corrupted, the whole output is:

Is there a way to find which package is corrupted? Because I would not start over the whole download process if it is possible, I'd like to re-download only the corrupted ones.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately did not helped me, the package, which was corrupted was not listed by the debug info. I started to manually test each package I downloaded and found the bad one that way. I kind of miss the old behavior, when pacman offered you to delete and re-download a package, if it did not passed the CRC verification.

The first one should be owned by mesa, however the one on your system was probably installed by the nvidia installer (can't say for sure, I've always used the arch nvidia package). It should be safe to force the upgrade of mesa (pacman -Sf mesa) and the carry on installing what you wanted.

Check database integrity throws 665 error when executing check database integrity task in SSMS.

I have read all other cases that relate to this error and cannot get this to work. Running SQL Server 2012 sp1 on Windows server 2012 R2. Disk space and permissions are fine, but I get the error below when I try and use the check database integrity task
within my maintenance plan on both system and user databases. I have researched this and fragmentation is not the issue. I'm lost at this point and would appreciate at least some steps to try. databases are not "read only" as I have read this may
contribute to the problem. All other maintenance tasks run fine.

ReFS is NOT supported in use with SQL Server 2012. Once such item, which you've stumbled upon is the fact that alternate streams and sparse files are not implemented in ReFS and thus these issues are caused. You *could* force the checkdb to execute by using
WITH TABLOCKX but that'll require exclusive access to the database for the duration of the checkdb scan and that's not something I would advise to do.

Almost all installer packages are corrupt!

Hi,
The following installer packages are corrupt:
J2SE SDK
J2EE SDK
NetBeans 3.6, 4.0
Documentation packages
WSDP 1.5
etc.
I tried downloading multiple times, with Firewall on and off, with GetRight and with SUN DOWNLOAD MANAGER but results are the same:
either .cab file is corrupt or ZIP archive is corrupt or something like that.
I can't install anything!
My OS is WinXP Pro. I tried to install to Win2000 Pro, the same result.
The only thing that installs properly and works is Wireless Toolkit.
I would be very appreciate if someone could help.

Sounds like your Internet connection may be noisy. Try downloading using another connection, or have your connection checked.

How to check tables integrity

we have a big problem in CO area. Since last week we can't calculate production order costs and product costs.
We have check all the things we can, including notes, and the only thing we think that could solve the problem is to check the integrity of tables.
Is there any program, transaction, or anything to make it?.

Enter the data dictionary table in the 'Database Table' field.
Click 'Display' and press 'Enter'.
The page 'Dictionary: Display Table' will open.
Please click on the 'Entry Help/Check' tab.
Observe the fields 'Foreign Key' and 'Check Table'.

When block corruption is expected;
Forecast any future problems w.r.t. database file/ block corruption;
When you restore files from a tape. It will help knowing if the first file pulled from tape is corrupt, instead of spending hours to extract all of them.

Error when checking package - SMLT

Hi im trying to oimport new languanges into the system
currently it only have en, de,
i wan ti import addtional vi , zf, zh..
rscpinst is done, and profile parameter is updated.
Languange files are inside EPS/in folder, bot ecc languange and ehp4 languange pack
the problem is everytime i want to import, during searching the package it giving an error..
my ecc system is wan ecc6 then upgraded to ehp4 , have anyone can advise, where to look detailed error..the message is too generic

For Language installation, please check SAP Note first specific to your language. Check for <language> install.
1. You must know code page of your language, install that code page by executing RSCPINST report. Many times this report end with an error. So check following tables for your code page
TCP0D This must contain your country code and empty language
TCPDB This must contain your code page in both fields
2. You are required to make changes in Instanse profile RZ10 for installed language, login language, check that sap note.
3. First Create a language using SMLT. after you create, you will find an import icon in front of defined language.
Click it, a new screen will appear,give the path as required and say import.keep on checking SMLT screen till the time it become green.
Regarding Language CD, You have to order for specific language you want to install, latin american languages comes with standard kit, check Language CD of your Installation kit.
PS.
Never install language without reading notes specific to it. First finish all prerequisite then go for SMLT import. Keep one seperate session open and do not close it till the time u sucessfully log in into system after Lang Import.

[SOLVED]package integrity check fails

I recently ran a pacman -Syu so it downloaded all the files I wanted but when it went to install the packages, the integrity check failed at opera, the error I got was: http://pastebin.com/m447d9848
my questions are, what is the problem? how can I fix it? Is the package corrupted, if so how can I delete it? will deleting the package fix it? thank you for your help

Well, it isn't the package integrety that is failing. You just have file conflicts on your system.
Now to fixing them. Most of these are to do with opera9.50. Did you previously install opera 9.50 on your system without using pacman? You should be safe doing a "pacman -Sf opera" to get rid of this. I would do a "pacman -Qo <file>" on a few of those files to check nothing owns them first, just to be really safe. You can do the same thing with shared-mime-info.
The /usr/local/share/man issue is a bit more compllicated. Check what files you have in that directory. I would move them all to a temporary directory, install the filesystem package, then move them back. The filesystem package now symlinks /usr/local/man and /usr/local/share/man

Package is corrupted PGP signature[SOLVED]

Hello,
I was trying to update my system with:
pacman -Syyu
One package kept coming showing:
error: archlinux-keyring: signature from "Someone <[email protected]>" is unknown trust
I attempted:
pacman-key --refresh-keys
But this did not help. I then attempted:
rm -r /etc/pacman.d/gnupg
pacman-key --init
pacman -Sc
pacman -Syyu
I then added all of the keys when queried to do so. However now I get:
error: archlinux-keyring: signature from "Pierre Schmitz <[email protected]>" is unknown trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/archlinux-keyring-20140124-1-any.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).
Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]
And I believe this is the case for every package...
How do i resolve this?

Installed Package Integrity Checker

I finally got around to learning python...great language btw, and I decided to try a small project that took me a half a day, but probably would have taken some guru 5 minutes flat, as a test program. What this does is parse /var/lib/pacman/local/*/files and check to make sure that everything it finds listed still exists on your system, it outputs anything that it didnt manage to read, and the package that owns it.
Please try it out and send comments/tips/criticisms/etc..

Looks alright to me... you probably didn't have to use os.walk though. An os.listdir would have been just as good (you already know that there will be a files file in each directory).
Alternately, you could look at the pacman module that's included with namcap. It can load package information from places like /var/lib/pacman/local.
