Allow multiple records from this table to be displayed in the form is greyed out.
I'm trying to add a second table to my main data source in an InfoPath 2010 form (database template), but the option to allow multiple records from this table to be displayed in the form is greyed out and I can't select it.
Can someone please tell me how to correct this? I'm guessing that there might have to be something change in MS SQL because on other occasions I've have not encountered this problem when adding a second table.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.So I've found a work around, but I still don't know why I'm having the problem in the first place.
I've been trying to relate the two tables by using the primary key in the parent table to a view of the child table that also includes primary key in the parent, e.g. the ORDER ID in the order table relating to the ORDER ID in the view of the order detail
table. For whatever reason whenever I did that InfoPath prohibited the data source from returning multiple order details.
My work around is to use views of both the order table and order details table that include the customer ID and to relate the two table in InfoPath using the customer ID. Now I get a data source that allows multiple order detail records. In order to get
just the order details that I want that relate to a particular order, I use a rule that sets the order id in both the order and order details query data sets before executing the query (as opposed to just the order data set).
Hope that's a clear explanation. -
Show alert after data display from the form
After query, if date of birth is NULL then display message, but this message must pop up after data displays on the form.
I try different post triggers, when-new-item-instance, when-validiate-item trigges, they all display message BEFORE the data. Any suggestion?

What you have to do is after the commands to display the data, you give the builtin SYNCHRONIZE; then give message statement. It should work.

Sudden change in text displayed on the forms.

We are stuck into such a situation that few output types for teh packing list started displaying the country name in chinese language.
Initially the forms was working well & thr were no issues. one day suddenly this happens with many output types in system.
I check the entries in T005T table but the entries are correct.
Also thr is no issu ewith code as the same peice of code was working correct before this.
Please let me know is thr any configuration which change the way country text get picked from t005T table.
The country in ship-to & Shipping point get printed as,
ADDRESS.
COUNTRY & v_country&.
ENDADDRESS.ok, this is problem of the adress statement.
The parameter COUNTRY gives the country in whichs address templates the adress gets prepared.
you got another parameter: COUNTRY_IN_REC_LANG. if this is set to 'X' the country will get printed in the language of the recipient land.
if you do not wish this behaviour, set it as space.
additionally you can overrite this behaviour by another parameter: LANG_FOR_COUNTRY.
if this is not equal space the Country will get printed in the Language stated by this parameter.
so for you. set either
LANG_FOR_COUNTRY = space
and COUNTRY_IN_REC_LANG = space. -
Images are not displaying in the forms run time.

I am using forms 10.1.2.3.0 and database 11g in the windows XP platform.
I am not able to see the images in the buttons at the run time. I have done the following setup for the same but still I am not able to display images in the buttons. I have gone through all the previous threads for the same. Can any body suggest where I am doing the wrong?
1) Created one JAR file with the below command putting all the gif files in a folder (All the GIF files are in lower case). Kept this jar file in the forms/java folder. (When I am extracting the JAR file getting all the gif files and one more folder META-INF).

2) Modified the formsweb.cfg file as follows.

archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,icon.jar
3) In the buttons property Iconic = Yes and Iconicfile name = icon_print (gif file name).
4) Modified the Registry.dat file in the path "forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat" as follows.
default.icons.iconpath=forms/java
default.icons.iconextension=gif
Start the OC4J instance, and run the application, but still not able to see the images in the buttons. After I modified the regedit file I am able to see the images in the design time but not in the run time.
Any thing more needed to do the same. All the suggestions are welcome.

Change the value of a field in a form when the form is displayed

I have a report which has a link to a form for updating the records. I have used a link to the form from report which displays the the record to be updated i.e it gets default values from the report. I need to change one of these values at the time of displaying the form. The set_value in the 'before displaying the page' section doesn't change the vaue displayed in the form. I tried in other 'Advanced pl/sql' sections provided but didn't succeed.

Unable to get the form displayed in Working Time

We are implementing ESS with ECC5.0 on EP6. When I go for Working time and click on Time Statement for a Chosen period .. below it doesn't display me the form needed.
I have checked from the Tx : HRFORMS, the Form Name :SAP_TIM_99_0001 & 0002 are active.
Is there anything else i need to configure at the r/3 end to get that display on portal?

while a cursor loop statement is running. (the cursor statement is in server)
And i used the 'when-timer-expired' trigger in forms developer.
it was possible to update the count of executed record to a temporary table,
but it didn't work to dislay the result on the forms in real-time .
only on time the trigger was executed when the cursor loop was finished.
Does anyone know the method of showing the count in real-time???

- You created a procedure in the database that uses a cursor to process one record at a time.
- This procedure updates a temp table that indicates the current record being processed.
- While the procedure is running you created a repeat timer that queries the temp table and displays in the form the current record being processed.
Now, you say that the timer only executed once after the database procedure was finished. Is that your problem?
If so, I think you may have to start the procedure using the database scheduler. Then use a repeat timer to query the temp table. Your procedure will need to indicate in the temp table when it is finished so you can stop the timer. (There may be another way to check if the procedure is done. For example, the database may provide some means to indicate that the procedure in scheduler is done.)

Error while determining the form function module
Hi everyone,
We are experiencing problems while displaying one adobe form in ESS. Its the Travel Expense form (PTRV_EXPENSE_FORM). When pressing the button to Display/Print the form we get an error message: "Error while determining the form function module", and no form I shown. The ADS server is configured correctly and there are other forms that are actually working, for example the Travel Request form. We are running WAS 7.0 with SP12.
Anyone has an idea what can cause the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

How to keep the field value in the forms for one week
I have an application that when the user logs on to it , it shows all the documents that are in the current dept.
the form has the following fields:
document no
sent date
assigned to
dep_LOV
and a check box
if a user clicks the check box and assignes the document to another dept by cliking the LOv then the assigned to field should be populated with the new value and the sent date should be today's date(sysdate). the requirment is that once the user assignes the documnet to certain depts (for example sales dept) the assigned to field and the sent date should show up in the form for one week and the user should be able to see that data in the form the next time she /he logs onto the application. the one week time is to make sure the documcnt has reached the assigned dept. after one week from today's date the updated assigned_to field and the document no should not display on the form. During the one week if the user logs on to the form again that particular document and the assigned to and sent to fields shoould be grayed out and shhould not be updatable. I will greatly appreciate any suggetion as of what to do to solve this problem. it is urgent. Pleade help-> so you are saying that I should have a block level post_query trigger and put the where clause in it?
No. Post-query trigger runs AFTER the query has been executed, and it runs once for each row fetched. It is for other purposes, NOT for setting a where clause.

I used the NVL function so your select will show rows where sent_date is null OR sent_date has a value that is within 7 days prior to the current date.
What is the field :docs.assigned_to used for? If you want to include ONLY rows that are assigned to a particular person, then your where clause might be:

you can create a Report that accepts the search parameters from the Forms mask and generates a PDF. You also have the option to send the report via mail.
Personally I would generate the report with a tool like as_pdf

i have a form which contains trainee information,
in one section having payment option
1 cheque(cheque no,issue date,amount,valid up to)
2.cash(Amounts)
this field are display conditional
means when i select cheque(cheque no,issue date,amount,valid upto) this fields are display in the form.
like Amount also.
i user radio buttons for payment option with submit
and used source used-"only when current values in the session sate is null" for all fields in the form
after i enter the data in the form the data in the fields are remains (cache is not clear)
i us a branch to the same page ,in the action section i use clear cache(enter the page no),
but my problem is when i use this(clear cache-page no) payment option buttons are not working,
if clear the cache(if i remove page no) in the Action section of branching the data remains in the form.

I now have no idea. What I assumed you had was the following:
- Page loads and all that is displayed is a radio button group with Cash or Card options.
- If select cash and an "amount" field appears
- If select card then card detail fields appear..
If you see the fields already then why do you have the radio buttons to be with submit?
Scenario A
If the details are meant to be processed once the radio button (cash/card) has been pushed then what is the problem with it processing the input and then clearing the data? I thought this is what you want...
Scenario B
If you actually have some kind of "Submit/process" button that does the processing rather than this radio button then make the radio button a normal one without submit. This would mean that clicking the radio button doesn't clear the fields, only when the submit button has been pressed.
In both of these scenarios you could clear the data using the always replacing option

We are currently developing in Oracle 10g and I was hoping for some direction regarding our latest issue. We are in the process of moving images from our database to external storage. Our database tables will include BFILE columns and I'm wondering how these external images will need to be handled in order to display on the Form?
