CIF Post processing Log issue

Hi Experts,
We have implemented CIF Post procesing functionality ( Standard), we are into SCM 5.1.
I am trying to check log in transaction /sapapo/cpp1 issue is :-
1) When I select log for one record (before processing ) It says u201CNo log was found for these selection criteriau201D
also observed that
2)After re-processing record It appears as error queue but  it is  just saying u201C1 Post processing recordu201D posted and processing sign will be red in color but no where is showing the exact error.
Can you please suggest what problem could be that I am not able to see exact log with error.
Thanks in advace.
Samir

Hi,
Please check in /SAPAPO/C2 have uou assined the both Logical sistems.
Here you have to give
1) R/3 Logical system, R/3 flag X, R/3 release (ex: 50 for ECC-5.0) Based on the size Inbound or Out bound Queue error             Handling 1 Postprocessing for Errors, No Splitting of LUWs and role not specified.
2) APO logicasystem R/3 flag blank, APO release (ex: 41 for SCM-4.1) Based on the size Inbound or Out bound Queue error      Handling 1 Postprocessing for Errors, No Splitting of LUWs and role not specified.
For selecting Inbound or Out bound Please read the bellow.
When you enter a logical target system in transaction /SAPAPO/C2, the system suggests the queue type Outbound Queues as standard. This setting means that queue processing is controlled by the sending system (SAP APO). Problems can occur if the receiving system (SAP R/3) does not have enough free work processes for processing the queue.
If you are using large amounts of integration data and expect that you may have insufficient free work processes, it may be useful to change to Inbound Queues. This setting means that queue processing is controlled by the receiving system (SAP R/3). If there are insufficient work processes available in the receiving system, the data is temporarily stored in SAP R/3 inbound and then processed gradually.
But we are using Inbound.
Hope this will help you.

Kishore Reddy

  • Performance problems encountered in CIF Post processing

    Hello
We have an SCM 7.0 / ERP 6.06 system and had  activated CIF Post processing.
However, due to very slow system performance, we had to deactivate CPP.
Subsequently, we have now decided to re-activate it.
I found one note 802980 for performance improvement.
We are also considering scheduling //cppr regularly to delete obsolete and processed CIFERRLOG records.
Apart from this are there any other best practices/checks that we can use before we go ahead with the re-activation?
    Regards
    Anupama

    Hi Anupama,
Take a look of this note:
1095049 - CPP -> Performance during the data transfer from R/3 to
    APO
Basically the best thing you can do is to Reorganize CIF PostProcessing in APO and R/3. Run /SAPAPO/CIF_POSTPROC_REORG and delete the obsolete and also the old records. Do this regularly.
Also try to send the error logs to the users and make a process to reduce the number of errors by correcting the cause of the problems.
    Kind Regards,
    Mariano

  • In CIF post processing notable to see target system

    Hi Gurus,
I am not able to see target system in CIF post processing. Can any one explain me where did i miss my settings? Please let me know it will be really great help
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi,
Check in /SAPAPO/C2 whether Post Processing is active or not.
For CIF error handling to be active ,setting to be defined under error handling coloumn is
Post Processing, No splitting of LUW .
If Strict is defined CIF error handling is not active.( Standard setting )
This setting applies for the data transfer for APO to R3 and R3 to APO.
    Thanks,
    nandha

  • CIF Post Processing

    Dear All,
In the CIF post processing, either via CIF Cockpit or via other post processing transactions, in APO or ECC, we need to go into each post processing record to find the reason for the post processing record being created and to check the status for Error / Warning.
Is there a way to view all the post processing records at APO or ECC system level?
Is there any method to analyze the reason for the post processing records, other than going into each one of them to find out?
I saw in the web of the existence of a program, where on adding some simple coding to the program, a report can be created to view the 'reason for post processing record' being created.
    Regards,
    Sridhar R

    Hi Senthil,
    Thanks for the reply.
The alerts system is already in place.
We are looking at a report where on execution, it would give the reason for the post processing record / error creation.
Based on the report corrective action could be taken, by appropriately notifying the respective teams / users in corresponding plants / regions.

    Sridhar R

  • Post Processing Error - how to debug issue?

I copied a vanilla report and slightly modified it. the data definition is a vanilla oracle object that is un-changed.
i copied the data to my desktop and the report runs fine (from the Desktop). However the report fails to produce output when run from the application. I get the following in the log file

Any other tools I can use to debug the error??? I'm stuck

    1. Is it possible to get more debug information from the Crystal Engine to help determine which fields/formulae are causing the issue?
Unfortunately that is it as far as errors.
    2. Does anyone have any initial ideas as to why this might be failing?
    a) Apply the latest Service pack:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe
    b) In the CR designer, enable Verify on First Refresh and Verify Stored procedures on First Refresh
    c) If the above does not help, as a test create a new win app. All you should need is just the one line of code, no db code. Let the report prompt for the db logon. If the win app works, it's probably a permission issue.

  • Issue with running Unix Script during post processing

    Dear all,
In one of the requirement, we need a execute a UNIX script in the post procesing steps of file channel.
When the script is run independently on the UNIX prompt, it executes very well.
But when the same script is kept in the post processing steps of the file channel, it doesn't give the desired results.
In the channel log, it says the script is executed but we are not able to see the output. (in this case, ist writing some dummy text in a new file). The script has all the permissions for all the users, read write and execute.
If anyone has a similar issue, kindly respond with the resolutions.
    Regards,
    Younus

    HI Younus
How you are running the script. Could be a problem with the command you are trying to execute from channel. Let us know the way you are doing
Check whether installed and executed on XI server properly then again check with channel.
    Check with these for reference

  • Issue with Bulk Load Post Process

    Hi,
I ran bulk load command line utility to create users in OIM. I had 5 records in my csv file. Out of which 2 users were successfully created in OIM and for rest i got exception because users already existed. After that if i run bulk load post process for LDAP sync and generate the password and send notification. It is not working even for successfully created users. Ideally it should sync successfully created users. However if there is no exception i during bulk load command line utility then LDAP sync work fine through bulk load post process.Any idea how to resolve this issue and sync the user in OID which were successfully created. Urgent help would be appreciated.

The scheduled task carries out post-processing activities on the users imported through the bulk load utility.

  • Post Processing in CIF

    Hi,
We have a reqmnt to update an document on R/3, source - APO, with a parameter passed in the CIF. The SAP BAPI is not populating the field, so the fallback option is for us to update the doc manually.
Is anyone aware of any post processing exits, provided in the CIF, which we make use of.
    TIA
    Regards,
    Pramod

    Hi,
Check in /SAPAPO/C2 whether Post Processing is active or not.
For CIF error handling to be active ,setting to be defined under error handling coloumn is
Post Processing, No splitting of LUW .
If Strict is defined CIF error handling is not active.( Standard setting )
This setting applies for the data transfer for APO to R3 and R3 to APO.
    Thanks,

  • Facing issue in Bulk Load Post Process in case of blank fields in csv file

    Hi,
I ran command line bulk utility to create users in OIM through CSV file. I left few columns as blank which were not mandatory. After executing the bulk utility, user got successfully created in OIM but after that when i ran "Bulk Load Post Process" for LDAP sync then it changed the user's organisation to default organisation "Xellerate User" which is a major issue. It is happening only when i am leaving some column blank. Any idea why it is happening and how to resolve this problem? Need some urgent help!!

    Hi ,
Thanks for your reply, the issue was we can not use DOD=Y due to the dependency of the Standard Version where other program fetches data from the same XML structure,
Any way we resolved this issue by re doing below post installation steps. And used a new schema with updated DTD and point that with the same logical schema.
    1) Created a new schema for XML external database
    2) Change the DTD file, keep it in the same location
    3) Change properties file with new schema name
    4) Test with the new schema for XML connection
    5) Reverse engineer the BaseModel ITEMBRANCH only (Where we added additional XML Tags)
    6) Bounce back ODI agent and Client
    Thanks,

  • Issue with Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task

    Hello,
I successfully loaded users in OIM using the bulk load utility.  I also have LDAP sync ON.  The documentation says to run the Bulk Load Post Process scheduled task to push the loaded users in OIM into LDAP.
This works if we run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task right away after the run the bulk load.
If some time had passed and we go back to run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task, some of the users loaded through the bulk load utility are not created in our LDAP system.  This created an off-sync situation between OIM and our LDAP.
I tried to use the usr_key as a parameter to the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task without success.
Is there a way to force the re-evaluation of these users so they would get created in LDAP?
    Thanks
    Khanh

The scheduled task carries out post-processing activities on the users imported through the bulk load utility.
