Cisco Unified Real-Time Monitoring Tool Administration Guide

Hello Pros,
I am in process of upgrading CUCM from 8.6 to 9.1.2 and receiving "not enough disk space on the partition" error.
The show status from CLI shows 13499216K free space but I don't understand why we are getting the error message. I tried FTP and SFTP, from GUI and CLI with no luck.  Do I need to start deleting files (traces, firmwares, etc..)? Even if I do so it wil free up the space in active partition and change nothing in my inactive partition as all thoses files are in my active partition.  Your help is very much appreciated.

Hi MK,
If the percentage of disk usage is above the high water mark that you configured, the system sends an alarm message to syslog, generates a corresponding alert in RTMT Alert Central, and automatically purges log files until the value reaches the low water mark. So, try lowering the high water mark value as well and then restart the Log Partition Monitoring service.

  • Real Time Monitor Tool - Charting

    Afternoon all,
I am using RTMT 8.1 to monitor Call Activity on a specific H323 gateway within our voice network. I've produced the chart which is correctly showing me real time information over a period of a couple of minutes. However, I want to display the chart over a period of 24 hours.
Do I need to change the polling rate to 30 or 60 minutes and allow the chart to run for 24 hours before presenting it? Is there any way of producing historical data on RTMT? Any help would be apprecaited.
    Regards, Jamie

    Hi Jamie,
Indeed in RTMT itself you should be able to achieve it by setting in counter properties "No. of data points shown on chart" to 50.
Next form Edit > Polling Rate. Set it to 30 minutes. Now it shown over 24 hours but with sample rate of 2/hour it may not really be useful.
So it would be better to have a higher sample rate and use the "Start counter logging" option to log the results to a locale csv file. So you can review the data afterwards with permformance log viewer or with Windows permance (perfmon.msc) from that locale csv file. Though you would need to leave RTMT running to log this information.

I would like to setup Real Time System monitor any one of R3 system forexample DEV system...
I setup CCMS alert for Entrie system MTE with memory alerts and it working fine + i am getting mails
However I am having a bit of difficulty setting up a few simple "Real Time Monitors" in solution manager
Point will be rewarded as solution per solution given

Follow the setup guide for a CEN (Central Monitoring System). It's not different than setting up any CEN on a Netweaver installation.

  • LMS 2.1 and nGenius Real-Time Monitor 1.4

    Dear NetPros,
Is the LMS 2.1 and the nGenius Real-Time Monitor 1.4 can be installed on the same system?
    Regards,

Yes, but not recommended. Keeping them on separate servers will be more beneficial.

  • Real time visual tools

    Hi all,
Is there any other real time visual administration tools like and other than iHAT...

    Hi shail,
right iHAT is pretty fine.I have deployed it and is nice but felt EM's topology view is better than iHAT itself.
i feel more a lil more enhancements should be made for real -time statistics like load,performance,n/w traffiic, whats going on inside oc4j (which EM already gives info of) etc, because EM needs to be constantly refreshed all the time manually at most pages for real-time values...if every page is automated refreshed then it EM would be even good.EM is really awesome but a lil more enhancements would be cool. This is my opinion lop :P

  • Real time ETL tool

I wanted to know if Oracle has a ETL tool? and if so is it possible to get real time Data extraction form our application for our Datawharehouse ( not incremental)
    null

Oracle's Extract Transform and Load(ETL) tool is known as Oracle Warehouse Builder(OWB). The ETL process is primarily incremental.
TCL('tickle')scripts can be registered with Oracle Enterprise Manager. These are used to schedule and run initial and incremental loader jobs.

1)I am using Oracle BI 11.1.1 and I want to change the persistance interval to 5 mins by default it is 60 mins So medel counts are getting incremented after 1 hr.
So can you help us to reduce the persistance interval.
2)RTD SDDS database is not refreshing automatically bacause we are unable to change the values in JConsole.
To reflect the data we are manually refreshing models and running the method CompleteSnapshot.
Please help us in resolving the issues.
Note:To Solve question 1 we tried to change the value in Application-->ModelDefaults-->Persistance level but its not getting incremented.

  • Cisco CUCM session trace log viewer (in real-time monitor) doesn't show all calls

    hi all,
could you please help with one trouble on CUCM 9.1: I activated CDR and set debug trace level as detailed and want to find history of my calls. I'm going to Tools -> CDR Analisys and Reporting and on the new appeared page i choose CDR -> Search by Phone Number. I make test call to my phone, try to search by my number phone but i doesn's see any incoming calls. It's worth noting that some outgoing calls i see. Could you explain why it is?

Did you set the service parameter to log calls into CDR?

  • VoIP monitoring tools - real-world application.

We're evaluating several products for an enterprise level VoIP monitoring applications, including, but not limited to, NetScout and NetQoS.
The company is undergoing a major infrastructure upgrade and going to Cisco's UCM 7.x platform and we'd like to get something in place that will do call performance monitoring (delay and jitter and MoS scores as well as infrasctrucutre monitoring) and do it well with relatively easy to use and robust reporting tools.  Reporting is a big bonus as it would be used for tshooting as well as management reportage and capacity planning (hopefully).
Anyone using NetQoS or NetScout specifically for VoIP monitoring and reporting?  Pros and cons?  Looking for a company with a good market footprint and active development.
NetQoS seems to have a good handle on this specific need - they can do endpoint baselining and real-time monitoring as well as traceroutes.  Their reporting is pretty robust.  Comments or concerns about NetQoS?  Other tools that can do the same things, specifically?
Importantly, is anyone using something successfully to monitor Cisco UCM 7.x including cluster infrastrucutre and voice gateways?  Both products can leverage SNMP really well, so we're looking at that.
Has anyone thought of or managed to use any sort of data capture platform of this kind to also generate meaningful CDR reporting?  If so, what platform and how?
(Please, nobody just cut and paste talking points from some website - I see a lot of that happening here and there in the forums.  I have all the available data I need from vendor websites, their admin guides, their marketing materials... )
    thanks!

Cisco's Unified Operations Manager and Solarwinds both do an ****ok**** job at monitoring these things. Cisco has really dropped the ball on SIP monitoring at the gateway level. They are beginning to develope SNMP MIBs for call activity monitoring but are pushing people to IOS 15.0 to see it. So.... I am not sure what you are running at the gateway level; if SIP let me know what you find.

  • Authoritative, Real-time, Spinning Beach Ball Diagnostic Tool/Utility?

    Dear Mac Mavens,
Is there an effective, real-time diagnostic tool/utility that authoritatively explains why my Mac is so-darn-slow...soooo mmaaannnnyyyyy times during the day?
The spinning beach ball is ubiquitous on my machine.
    For example:
Sometimes--but not always--it can take Evernote, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Word, MS-Excel, and the like, as long as 3-5 minutes to become active.
Another example: Viewing "Open Recent" in just about any application can take 2-4 minutes.
Sometimes, again, not always: it can take 2-3 minutes for a browser tab to open.
To date, I have purchased, and run, virtually all the major "Keeper," "Cleaner," "Go Faster," "Tools" utilities (each promising to speed up a Mac)...but none of them either report a meaningful problem (however, some of the do report many, many trivial problems)--and none of them have had any effect whatsoever on system performance.
Also, I constantly check "Monitor" (which routinely reports CPU at ~3-7%) and iStat Mini (which routinely reports CPU at ~5%). Additionally, many, many times, I've examined the console.logs looking (without success) for anomalous events.
Hence this request. Is there a useful tool/utility/magic incantation which can help diagnosis this productivity-sapping issue and explain--in real-time--the cause of a spinning beach ball?
Conjecture: Given the consistently low reported CPU utilization...16Gb memory (1333 MHz DDR3)...1Tb SATA disk...2.8 GHz Intel Core 5 (1 processor, 4 cores)...in this somewhat beefy Mid-2010 27-inch--could the dominant constraint be the internal bus? If the bus is relatively slow...would that explain the too, too frequent beach ball?
Your specific suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated; thank you.
    Plane Wryter

When you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Real time data monitoring using multiple thermocouples via indicators and waveform

I apologize in advanced for this question is probably somewhat simple but I am brand new to labview as well as to the forum and could use some pointers. I have a CompaqDAQ with two 9213 16 channel modules and I am trying to read in 30 thermocouples into a waveform as well as display 30 indicators so I can label each indicator with the corresponding thermocouple for real time monitoring. Each thermocouple corresponds to a specific location and it is critical that the interface have an accurate indication or label for each one. I am wondering if there is an easy way to do this besides splitting the signal and having 30 thermometers on my block diagram? Perhaps an array of some sort? If I use an array to create the 30 thermometers, does the DAQ assistant automatically sort the thermocouples in increasing numerical order. For example, would the first and second indicators on my interface automatically be assigned to the a0 and a1 channels of the first module or would I have to do this manually? Same for the waveform?  Thanks a lot!
PS - Not sure if this message needed more specifics but just let me know if more info is needed and I will provide!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I see you are using the DAQ Assistant to create your task.  Now I understand why you are asking about labeling.  That is the NI Salesman's easy start up spiel...  But anyway, have you ever created a task in MAX instead of using the DAQ Assistant?  The interface is similar, and there may be a step or two more, but your end application will be more efficient and you will have more options with your data and properties.  For instance, I tried to update the physical channel names in the DAQ Assistant setup ,which it does let you do, but it doesn't propagate that change forward to the waveform chart legend.  Also, I don't know of any property node for that dynamic data type, although I never use it either.  I suggest setting up your task and channels in MAX, if you don't mind giving it a go.
I wrote another example since I figured I didn't really lead you to the end with helping you out.  It uses a cluster, although a little barbaric.  I thought there was a more eloquent way of doing it by changing the labels, but I could not get it working as I anticipated.

  • How to make real-time report per subscriber ( SCE2020)

From the link below Cisco SCA BB SNMP Real Time Monitoring User Guide, 3.1
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6135/products_user_guide_chapter09186a008084ddc8.html
it only make report on the global bandwitdh does anyone have i 3rd party software or good document on how to do snmp real-time report per subscriber?
    Thanks in Advance.

SCE platform supports a limited set of variables that may be configured via SNMP (read-write variables). Setting a variable via SNMP (as via the CLI) takes effect immediately and affects only the running-configuration. To make this configuration stored for next reboots (startup-configuration) the user must specify it explicitly via CLI or via SNMP using the Cisco enterprise MIB objects.

  • CAD Real Time Stats show NA for agent state and call log

    Hello
For our lab uccx, the agent/users CAD display shows NA for the agent state and call log.  I have
Not Ready and Log out codes set and have the testers do those actions to generate data.
I have rebooted the server and have also checked the services page and confirmed
    all the services are running.
I went through the admin guide to see if I missed any configuration but does not appear so.
I tried launching the real time stats tool from the UCCX Admin and it launches OK
but I noticed that it shows not connected.
Note this is over a VPN to the UCCX.
So not sure if this is related.  I checked the relase notes and this is the base install
of UCCX 8.5.  I am going to install the service updates but wanted to see if I can
get this running before I schedule a maint window to do the upgrades.
    Thanks
