My pantech uml 290 recently starting picking up only 3g connection
My pantech uml 290 recently started picking up a 3g connection when i use to use 4g lte all the time. I can put my phone right next to where the usb modem is and get a 4g connection but the modem only picks up 3g. I've tried a whole lot of options to try and fix this. I'm wondering if i'll need to replace my Sim Card or not. I've tried uninstalling vza manager and reinstalling and didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix? Will let you know if i've done it already.
95966 is my zip code. This started happening around the middle of january. I've called customer support quite a bit. I went into a store and replaced my sim card on 2/26/15 and it kind of helped but still very shotty with picking up 4g. Also constantly getting a error wmc103. message. I was going to get a callback on 2/27 from verizon to maybe see about checking out the area submitting a ticket i believe she said.

Device Manager Version 5.2(4)
Compiled on Sun 06-Apr-08 13:39 by builders
System image file is "disk0:/asa724-k8.bin"
so please help me with suitable configuration for my purpose./please tell me which device will support for this/what is have to do for this.
Thanks
Lalu R.SThere's not much of that sort of functionality built into the ASA 5505 entry level firewall. To do that sort of thing in the firewall, you would have to move up to one of the newer 5500-X series with next generation firewall features and build a policy using Application Visibility and Control (AVC).
You can do some crude controls with QoS - the configuration guide chapter on doing that is here. -

External DB is not operational
thanks,
jamesHi James,
We get External DB is not operational. Could you confirm if under External Databases > Unknown User Policy, and verify you have the AD/ Windows database at the top?
this error means the external server might not correctly configured on ACS external database section.
Another point is to make sure we have remote agent installed on supported windows server.

Also provide the Auth logs from the server running remote agent, e.g.:-

In general, the Trustsec design and deployment guides address the specific support for the various features of the 'whole' Cisco TS (and other security) solution frameworks. And then a drill-down (usually the proper links are embedded) to the specifc feature, and then that feature on a given device. TS 2.1 defines the use of ISE or ACS5 as the policy server, and confiugration examples for the platforms will include and refer to them.

Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 and Aironet 1250 + VSS issues
Hi,
I am new to the NCS implementations and configurations. I have one very specific case with Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 and autonomnous APs and several issues with Cisco VSS on 6500 switches.
So here is the version from Prime:

Well the issue what we have now is that access point has been added but its not recognized by the NCS prime. I have tried all three versions of SNMP but I get the same result. The SNMP configuration is valid since I use the same for my switching infrastructure. When I enter "debug snmp packets" and "terminal monitor" I can see the SNMP communication between Prime and Aironet 1250 which is standalone.
When I switch to Lifecycle theme and go to Operate > Device Monitor Center I see all devices I have added. The Aironet 1250 is reachable but under collection status I get Managed with Warnings. When I hover over with my mouse I get "None available".
I have successfully added my switching infrastructure in total, which is operating perfectly for Catalyst 2960/3650/3750/4500 series but for 6500 under VSS I have some warnings. The device is recognized by the system which is excellent and all is operational. I get the following errors under Collection Status:
feature_sensor
SNMP request timed out
feature_powerSupplyFanStatus-6k
SNMP request timed out
IdentityCapability
The device is unreachable.
feature_flashdevice
SNMP request timed out
sam_ipsla_feature
The device is unreachable.
What can be done to resolve these issues ? I have attached a screenshot of this particular issue. The affected access point is 172.16.165.241.
Predrag PetrovicHi rajeeshp,
Currently I am not allowed to upgrade it because of internal procedures involved in upgrading a specific piece of software (obtaining permissions from various departments). Is it free to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 or there is a specific charge for that.

Cisco Presence/Jabber both internally and externally
We have installed the Cisco Presence server and intergrated it with our Microsoft Exchnage for ldap, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and Cisco Unity Connection for phone and voicemail support. It is all installed inside our corporate network and with my testing, I have found it to be available outside our Corporate network as long as I have a VPN configured and active from outside.
However, management wants the enitre thing accessible from both within and from the outside without having to have a VPN connection. Does anyone know of a method for doing this or could point me to some good documentation as to what would be required?
Thanks in advance.
GeneIf you are using Jabber onPrem with CUPS, the only way this will work (for now) is using VPN. This will give the external using IM/Presence/CUCM. You cant really open CUCM or CUPS via 5060 Ports and expect it to work. The problem is the internal/external IPs are not proxied correctly and presence will not work.
If your management really wants to have this seamless inside and out, the best solution right now is to use Jabber Cloud and use VPN back for CUCM call control on the client. (mobile or PC/Mac).
Hopefully sooner than later we will see a "Presence gateway" that will sit in the DMZ and connect external IM clients to the internal CUPS server, -
Can cisco router support OSPF-TE and ISIS-TE same time for CSPF to compute a TE LSP? I may need to run both IGP in parreral.
hello - I have just moved your post to the Topic forums - you had posted your question in an obscure non-visible promotional community Hopefully our community users will see your question now.
-
Can cisco router support OSPF-TE and ISIS-TE same time for CSPF to compute a TE LSP? I may need to run both IGP in parallel.
Hi Johnny,
Per my understanding you can. It is equivalent to running 2 IGP and installing the entry in RIB table based on administrative distance.

How? Well (laugh) you take the special stack cable and connect one end to one of the 3750X stack's ports and the other to one the 3750G stack's ports. Ideally, repeat (to have dual stack ring connections).
Of course, there's other requirements such as the StackWise software is required to be the same major version (but matching the minor version is a really good idea - matching IOS versions is the easiest way to accomplish this). Also, the -12S has SDM templates unique to that model, so you want to insure it's configured not to use those. The 3750X's LANBASE license also won't stack with the 3750G, you need IPBase or IPServices. Then you need to decide stack member numbering as each device's ports, in the config, will reflect that.
Also be aware, stacking StackWise and StackWisePlus 3750s results in the latter needing to give up some of its improvements.
More information can be found in the IOS reference and guide manuals for your IOS version. -
Which CISCO switch supports SFP, SFP+ and 10G ethernet ports
I would like to have information about a CISCO switch which can support fiber ports SFP(1g) and SFP+(10g) and copper 1g and 10g ethernet ports. And will it also software upgradable to support L3 protocols ?
You can choose from the Cisco 3560-E, 4900, 4500, and 6500 series switches. That's in order of capability (and cost!), from least to greatest.
The 3560-E and 4900 series are fixed chassis systems (the 4900M is semi-modular) while the 4500 and 6500 series are completely modular - buy the chassis and populate it according to your requirements.
In addition to the references cited above, also refer to the Cisco Products Quick Reference Guide (CPQRG), available at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/qrg/index.html
Hope this helps. Please rate this post if it does. -
Cisco Unified WFO - Call Recording and Quality Management with Extension Mobility agents
Hi All,
We're considering Cisco Unified WFO - Call Recording and Quality Management for a customer running UCCX 8.0, agents on multiple WAN sites, all agents using extension mobility.
The documentation I've been able to find describes three different recording methods:
Using Desktop Recording service (Endpoint) to record from an agent’s desktop.
Server Recording - Uses SPAN (not so good for remote sites)
Network Recording - Uses CUCM recording service / SIP trunk / phone's built in bridge.
Network recording or Desktop recording should be suitable for the customer but it seems that Extension mobility is not supported. Extension Mobility is not mentioned in the 8.5 installation guide, it is mentioned as ‘not supported’ in the 8.0 guide as follows:
'Server Recording and Network Recording have the following limitations:
• Extension mobility is not supported.'
Neither version's documentation specifically mention extension mobility in relation to the desktop recording method, though I realise this is a similar approach to the 'server recording' method.
So the question I have is: Is extension mobility supported in any way on version 8.0, or version 8.5 for recording? And if so which recording method(s) are supported?
Thanks,
JonathanHi,
I had more luck asking questions over at the Calabrio forum - they make the software and Cisco re-brand a version of it - there is some good info on their portal (http://portal.calabrio.com), you have to register but it's fairly painless. The answer I got was:
"QM Desktop recording has always supported extention mobility as it determines the recorded user by the desktop user's login. Extention mobility was not supported for Server and Network recording until the Calabrio QM 8.6.2 release in April 2011 and will be added to Cisco QM starting with QM 8.5.2 in June 2011"

Under "Weblaunch" Platform detection, Sun Java and Java Detection are ticked. The other items are unticked.
Thank you in advance.I'm having the same problem with Lion 10.8.4
I've tried three different browsers with similar results.

Any ideas? I know we have the Secure desktop set to scan for antivirus for all connections. I know that my AV is on the list and supposedly compatible.
