CiscoWorks log export

So my organization got a logging solution called Logrhythm a while back. the operator of this server is asking if the Ciscoworks LMS syslogs can be exported to it. I'm not much of a Ciscoworks guy yet but can they be exported to another logging solution?
Also...has anyone ever heard of Logrhythm? So far I haven't met anyone. If so what's you're take on it?
Thanks

Hello Applesmash,
I would suggest you  to post this question under network management forum, where you can find better answers
Hope to help

  • Kona RGB 10bit LOG export setting?

In Final Touch users were given the option to import AND export using the RGB log format from Kona - vital for DI work... now Color seems only to support Kona RGB log input but not out put....
This very annoyingly destroys the Kona 2K workflow by not allowing a QT encapsulated approach to the DI workflow.. ie. QT 2K conform and grade and then final output by sending back to FCP (something you can't do with DPX files).
Does anyone have any clues to a work around? I have a few ideas but I'm wondering if any one else has come up against this as a problem...
    Thanks
    Intel 3.0   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Xt1900 Kona 3

Did you ever come up with an answer to this?
I was reading up on the Export Codecs and there's a note that Color also supports AJA Kona 10-bit RGB for export but the drivers aren't included in Color.
Perhaps it's as simple as reinstalling the AJA drivers?
Also, Page 88 of the manual details alternative Cineon and DPX workflows.

  • Incorrect timestamp on logs exported to Excel

Exporting logged data to Excel loses the original timestamp.  The time in the Excel file is the system time at which the Excel file was created.  The entry in the spreadsheet for time X0 is just 0.  The original log file (within SignalExpress) has the correct starting time for the data but that time doesn't seem to get passed to Excel.  I have the timestam option set to 'Absolute'
    Thanks,
    Dave Detty

    Hi Dave,
I've been able to track down the issue, and I filed a bug report to have it fixed.
It also looks like the date and time should be that of the timestamp of the first signal, and the X0 is designed to be the offset of each signal in the file from the Date and Time; which is really only useful when there are multiple signals in 1 file.
I wasn't able to find a workaround for this. I'm very sorry...

  • Ecatt-log export rfc

    Hi,
I have some problems with my logfile-export and hope, that you can help me.
I`m using a java-application to execute some transactions in ecatt. so, now i have the log-files. My problem is, with which function can i export the log file to my java application?
I just have found some functions, but they do not work, or I do not know how.
for example, i used the function "ecatt_store_log", where i can give the para "log-ig" (example: 0000000002) and a xml-file. but i do not know where the xml-file is? i think it is now a new ghost in my system.
so, i hope you can understand my problem (my english is realy bad). sorry.
thanks a lot for your help
    Hans

    Hi,
yes you are right, but i think i have an idea.
First, i will run one "ecatt_execute", where i get some params, amongst others the log_id.
So now, i can run the ecatt_execute again with my log_id as param.
    - Start GUI with secatt
    - menu goto - logs
    - input log_id (param)
    - execute
    - expand all nodes
    - log display - print preview
    - system - list - save - local file
    - html format
    - give name
    - confirm save
//java will do the rest with this file
now my problem is to confirm the save button.
mhh, we'll see what i can do here.
thanks a lot for your help

  • DS Certification logs - exporting programatically

    DS Version: 12.2.1.0
Currently, we generate the Certification logs manually for USPS using the web console (Management -> Certification log).
Is there any way this task can be automated?
i.e. Every 1st of month, we can run some script and export all the reports which can then be mailed/stored etc.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

    Gaurav,
Unfortunately, only the log data is stored in the repository.  The actual reports are not generated until you export, so there is no way to grab them.  Locating the data in the repository and generaling the logs yourself is not recommended, as it could compromise the integrity of the data.
Perhaps you can find a web macro tool that can record the steps needed to export the logs.

  • CiscoWorks log overflooded

    Hi all
I have two logs which are overflooded. Can anyone tell me what these records indicate, and what to do?
In dmgtDbg.log these INFO records come again and again:
    [Tue Nov 04 07:05:31 W. Europe Standard Time 2008][dmgrDbg]##### INFO ##### re-evaluate DbgLevel=0x0
    [Tue Nov 04 07:05:37 W. Europe Standard Time 2008][dmgrDbg][dmgrDbg] getenv(PX_DBG)=NULL
    [Tue Nov 04 07:05:37 W. Europe Standard Time 2008][dmgrDbg][dmgrDbg] getenv(PX_MY_DEBUG)=NULL
    [Tue Nov 04 07:05:37 W. Europe Standard Time 2008][dmgrDbg][dmgrDbg] getenv(PX_MY_TRACE)=NULL
    [Tue Nov 04 07:05:37 W. Europe Standard Time 2008][dmgrDbg][dmgrDbg] getenv(PX_DBG_LEVEL)=NULL
The CSDiscovery.log is growing very fast (maybe this is normal?)with records like this:
    070027 GeneralSystemAGI@45: [EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-19/10.200.2.15]GeneralSystemAGI: eval() >>>
    070027 GeneralSystemAGI@63: [EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-19/10.200.2.15]GeneralSystemAGI: eval() <<<
    070027 GeneralIpAddrAGI@42: [EvalTask-DiscoveryThreadPool-19/10.200.2.15]GeneralIpAddrAGI: eval() >>>
I regularly run the logbackup.pl that emptys the log. But the recomended filesize of 1024KBytes is soon reaced again.

The messages in dmgtDbg.log are typical. You will just need to rotate this file when it gets too big. The log file size recommendations are on the low side, so I wouldn't worry about those.
As for the CSDiscovery.log, go to Common Services > Server > Admin > CS Log Configurations, and make sure CS Discovery debugging is disabled.

I created one global temporary table GT1 and ran the export. See the log below:

  • WAAS exporting tfo logs via sftp

    Hello
    Running WAAS 4.0.19.
I've stuck an issue where the CLI command on an edge WAE:
    transaction-logs export sftp-server 10.1.1.1 tst1wae01 password logs/raw
...is accepted but when you then try and use the Transaction Logs page of that WAE in the Central Manager's GUI and make a different change (say the interval), the GUI throws up an error:
"Directory1 must start with forward slash"
If I put a forward slash in at the GUI and save it, the export will fail.
The export works when I force the WAE to use the line specified as per the CLI. If I do this the GUI shows the path as "logs/raw" which is what I want.
Anyway, the work around works but it is annoying because I effectively cannot use the GUI page for transaction log changes.
    Has anyone else seen this?
    Cheers
    Cameron

    Hi Cameron,
Why does the export fail with a leading / in the path? Is that not a valid path on the target server?
Can you perform the following debug and send the syslog.txt file:
    From config mode:
    logg disk prior debug
    From enable mode:
    transaction-log force export
    Thanks,
    Zach

  • Performance Issue on Traditional Import and Export

    Scenario
    =====
    Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition (9.2.0.8)
    Windows Server 2003 (32 bit)
    --- to ---
    Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition (11.2.0.3)
    Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 (64 bit)
    Hi to all
I'm doing a upgrade from 9i to 11g and i am using native imp/exp to migrate those data.. For my 1st round of testing, I have done the following:
    1) Full DB Export from 9i. exp system/<pwd>@db FULL=Y FILE=export.dmp log=export.log
Encountered warning "EXP-00091: Exporting questionable statistics." (On hindsight, I know that I need to set the characterset as per my server before exporting) Nevertheless, I proceeded on with this 8.4GB dmp file that has the warning "EXP-00091: Exporting questionable statistics." The characterset in 9i is US7ASCII. My export took 1 hour, my 9i is actually only a small 26GB.
    2) Full import to 11g. My 11g is a newly created DB with characterset WE8MSWIN1252. I know that schemas and objects will be automatically created in 11g.
    3) However, the problem I face is that this importing of data has been running for the past 4 hours and counting and it is still not done.
    My question is:
Is it because of the difference in the characterset in the dmp file and 11g that is causing this importing to be slow? Could it be that characterset conversion is causing high overhead?
    OR
Is it because I exported all the indexes from 9i and now during importing, it is taking a long time to create those indexes in 11g? Should I have export full but set index=F and create a index creation script from 9i and run it in 11g, so as to save time?
    OR
Both of the above is causing the importing to keep on running? Or ??

    Hi to all
All my tablespaces in oracle 9i database is on 4096 block_size... But I pre-created those same tablespaces in 11g and they are on 8192 block_size..
Am I right to say that it is the differences in block size that is slowing down this importing?
If so, how can I solve this problem? If I use "IGNORE=Y" in my import statement, will it help? Thanks..
I think i will follow my 9i db and create the tablespaces in 11g in 4096 block_size...
Here's the new server (11g) specs (i know this is not officially supported by oracle yet):

    Hello.
This is pretty old but. Any ways. I think it will help some one who looks for the solution.
I think that ANALYZE TABLE XXX compute statistics will helps you.
Also, you shold try one of these:
    - CREATE TABLE copy_of_main AS SELECT * FROM main_table - no errors
    - Check if there is enough space on the device you are going to put .dmp file on.
    - Changing the size of buffer parameter
    - Using dbverify against datafiles that contain table data gives no errors.
    - SELECT * FROM this table gives no errors.
ANALYZE TABLE works for me in almost every case.
    Take care.
    Alex.

  • Error while exporting the database - using expdp

    Hello,

    Thanks!

This directory option is not a filesystem directory. but a database directory.
    Look up dba_directories view
    Example:
    SQL> create directory expdir as 'D:\EXPORTSCOALA';
    SQL> grant read, write on directory expdir to public;
    After that:
    expdp roger/mypass@scoala directory=*expdir* dumpfile=scoala.dmp logfile=scoala.log

  • Export and Import using Named Pipes

    Hai,
I need an clarification in export, import and compress of dumps using named pipes.I am using Oracle 9i RAC 9.2.0.4 in AIX 5.3. Every month i have to move list of tables from one database to another database after taking export dumps. The list of activities done by me at present are given below.
    1. Taking export and gziping the dump file at the same time using named pipes.
    2. Doing uncompress and import in the second database using named pipes.
We are doing compress for space constraints. Now my doubt is whether using named pipes, we can do both operation of import and compress of dump file at the same time. i.e, at the time of export itself , using named pipes, i need both import in the another database and compress the zip file. Is it possible?

    mknod exp.out p
    exp dbadmin/admindb file=exp.out owner=scott log=export.log statistics=none &
